People Have Chai-Biscuit In Honour Of Parle Refusing To Advertise On 'Toxic' News Channels

Recently, all that most news channels have made us do is shake our heads in disappointment with the type of content they are pushing. It's honestly a trainwreck that no one can look away from.Β

In short, there needs to be a change in the type of news and how that news is broadcasted.

And, channels like these losing big companies in terms of advertisement might just be the push they need to get back on the right track.

People Applaud Parle & Bajaj For Not Advertising On News Channels With Β© Twitter

Huge brands like Parle and Bajaj taking a stand and refusing to advertise with channels pushing 'toxic and aggressive' content is a step that is unanimously being applauded by the internet and rightly so.

Parle Products has decided not to advertise on news channels that broadcast toxic aggressive content.

These channels are not the kinds that the company wants to put money into as it does not favour its target consumer.

It's time more companies join the lead of Bajaj and Parle. pic.twitter.com/LNXr9ytmBF

This decision came after the entire TRP scandal where a few news channels were accused of tampering with numbers. Let's not forget the hate and rumour mongering, of course.

Reportedly, three such channels have been blacklisted by Bajaj and people are applauding the companies for doing the right thing, even at the cost of profits.

As the news broke, Parle G became one of the biggest trends on Twitter.

#ParleG won't advertise anymore with Republic and other Toxic channels. Soon Arnab will have to rely only on biscuits Modi throws at him!

It's time for a change.

Revolution has begun. After Bajaj it's Parle who's going to boycott Godi Media. Would be so glad to see others doing the same. https://t.co/aEsKtjTJxF

Hopefully, this sets an example for others.

Financing #Fakenews, hatchet jobs, sleaze, toxic content.
Funding hate, intolerance, daily provocations and incitements.
Not the brand association any company/product can afford to have!

Kudos to #ParleG #Bajaj for taking the lead to say No.#Amul: will you too #StopFundingHate? https://t.co/f7cih9RWBi
