
CHARSADDA: Police have arrested another suspect in the Mardan lynching case, in which Mashal Khan lost his life at the hands of an enraged mob on the premises of the Abdul Wali Khan University (AWKU) after being accused of blasphemy.
The total number of arrested suspects stands at 57, while 59 suspects have been identified till yet.
Suspect Hammad Ahmed is a student of Zoology at the AWKU. He was presented in a special Anti-Terrorism Court, which remanded him into four-day police custody.
Three other suspects, including a lecturer at a college, arrested earlier were also presented in court after expiration of their remand. The court sent them into judicial remand as the suspects have denied the charges.
