Arnab Goswami has been in more controversies this year than probably most journalists all their lives. From his witch-hunt for Rhea Chakraborty to his jail time after he was named in Anvay Naik's suicide note, the man has become a topic of news rather than a reporter of it and he's back again.

Republic Bharat, the Hindi news channel arm of Republic TV, was fined 20,000 pounds - or almost ₹20 lakh - by the United Kingdom’s communications regulator Office of Communications for broadcasting content with “offensive language”, “hate speech” and “ abusive or derogatory treatment of individuals, groups, religions or communities”. Moreover, the channel has been asked to issue an on-air apology as well.
The action has been taken against a particular segment from the channel's show “Poochta Hai Bharat” that was aired on September 6, 2019. The issue involves the editor-in-chief discussing India’s Chandrayaan 2 spacecraft mission to the moon and comparing India’s space exploration and technological advancements compared to Pakistan.
Truth is truth how ever bitter that might be and nothing is above than truth, truth always triumphs and here truth was spoken.
Republic Bharat we are with you!!#ArnabGoswami pic.twitter.com/kCCKFF82SP
The report points out at one point, the guests and Arnab Goswami said, “Their scientists, doctors, their leaders, politicians all are terrorists. Even their sportspeople. Every child is a terrorist over there. Every child is a terrorist. You are dealing with a terrorist entity."
The report also pointed out one of the guests identified as “General Sinha”, who referred to people of Pakistan as “beggars” and threatened military attack on the country.
Moreover, the "expressions of hatred based on intolerance of Pakistani people based on their nationality alone" are not okay.
People are of course divided, with a lot of Arnab supporters and a lot of people trending #ThooktaHaiBharat, a wordplay on Poohcta hai Bharat.
What next ??
Is @republic will run a campaign against UK PM visit to India on Republic day and @KanganaTeam and #andhbhakt will support him.
