DSP Headquarter shot dead by unidentified men in Quetta

QUETTA: Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Headquarter was killed, while his nephew was left injured as a result of firing from unidentified assailants in the wee hours of Tuesday, outside a mosque on Jail Road in Quetta.
The Chief Minister took notice and sought report of the incident.
According to police, DSP Headquarter Umar Rahman along with his nephew Inspector Bilal Ahmad was on his way to offer Maghrib prayers at a mosque located on Jail Road, when unidentified men opened fire on them outside the mosque, causing injuries to Umar and Bilal.
The injured were shifted to CMH for further medical treatment, where DSP Umar Rahman succumbed to his wounds.
The Chief Minister of Balochistan expressed his condolence over the demise of DSP Headquarter Umar Rahman and condemned the act of terrorism.
He also sought report of the incident from police authorities and ordered law enforcement agencies for the immediate arrest of the culprits involved in the incident.
