

MULTAN: A fire broke out in Basheer oil mills at Vehari road on Tuesday afternoon, as many as 24 fire tenders have been trying to douse the fire since over nine hours.

According to fire brigade official, all efforts are being made to bring the fire under control.
"There's smoke everywhere, and the fire has enveloped two apartments and four shops," he added.
According to the locals, the fire started after some fault developed in the main generator of the mill.
The supply of electricity in the area has been suspended by the Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO).
The fire has affected three feeders, said MEPCO spokesperson
According to rescue officials, there was about fifty thousand gallons of oil in the factory basement, which caught fire due to the generator heating up.
