Having been in the Indian music industry for decades, Daler Mehndi is regarded as one of the country's first major pop artistes.

 Recently, the singer took to Twitter to invite Prime Minister Narendra Modi to a particular tea stall in Kolkata. Wondering why? 

Well, calling it a “must-have”, the pop artist shared a video of one of Kolkata’s best and the oldest tea stalls. He then invited PM Modi to try out the kullar chai from the place in his next visit to the city.

Here’s what he wrote on the micro-blogging site. “During your next trip to Kolkata requesting @narendramodi  ji to visit Balwant Singh’s Tea Shop (since 1926) near Gurudwara Sant Kutiya  for ek kullar chai. A must have !#AtmaNirbharBharat #MadeinIndia #IncredibleIndia #chai #bedaler @PMOIndia @ANI @PTI_News @naveenjindalbjp” (sic)
