
Hussain Nawaz was probed for six hours during his last appearance before JIT on June 1. Photo: fileΒ ISLAMABAD: The Joint Investigation Team, which is probing PM?s assets following Supreme Court?s verdict on Panama case, started its session Saturday morning.
The JIT is working on compiling the progress report on the case, which it has to present before the SC on June 7.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif?s elder son Hussain Nawaz is expected to appear before the JIT for the fourth time. However, the premier?s son has yet to leave the PM House.
The security around the Federal Judicial Academy ? the office of the JIT ? has been tightened, and barbed wire along with road blocks were placed to bar the entry of unrelated individuals to the area.
The JIT is investigating the global financial dealings of PM?s family in light of the Supreme Court's April 20 judgment.
Hussain had appeared before the JIT on June 1 and was probed for about six hours regarding his London properties.
After this third appearance, Hussain remarked, ?If the matters proceed in a fair manner then its fine otherwise we would present the issue before the Supreme Court and public.?Β
Hussain Nawaz also said that no evidence will be found of any irregularity against him, his father (PM Nawaz) or any sibling in the investigation.
Previously, he appeared before the JIT on May 28 and May 30.
On Friday, premier?s younger son, Hassan Nawaz, appeared before the JIT and was probed for more than seven hours. He did not speak to the media after leaving the Federal Judicial Academy.Β
