Thunderstorm hits Islamabad, Pindi


ISLAMABAD/PINDI: Weather took a pleasant turn for the residents of twin cities, Islamabad and Rawalpindi, when it rained heavily on Tuesday, bringing the mercury down.
According to the Met department, the speed of the wind is 130km/hr in Rawalpindi, whereas, in Islamabad it has been recorded 93km/hr.
Due to the thunderstorm, trees were uprooted from the ground and many cars were damaged.
The Met department has said that in the coming next four to five days, the temperature would drop in the lowland areas.
