Prime Minister Narendra Modi Wishes Veteran Politician L K Advani On His 89th Birthday Calls Him An Inspiration


Experienced politician and senior Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) leader, L K Advani turned 89 today and many political parties and leaders came forward to wish him, including our Prime Minister Narendra Modi who described him as an ‘inspiration’ and a leader who has served the country tirelessly for decades. He further added, “I pray to God that Advani Ji is blessed with a long and healthy life.”

L K Advani was born in Karachi, Pakistan on November 9, 1927. Advani started his political career as a Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) volunteer and later served as Minister of Home Affairs from 1998 to 2004.   He even worked as Deputy Prime Minister of India under Atal Bihari Vajpayee from 2002 to 2004. While wishing him, Minister of Law and Justice Ravi Shankar Prasad called Advani a ‘guiding light’. Other leaders who wished him include Smriti Irani, Piyush Goyal, Suresh Prabhu and Venkaiah Naidu.
