Pakistani Opener Azhar Ali Posts Heartwarming Tweet Thanking MS Dhoni Virat Kohli andamp Yuvraj Singh

The Indian cricket team is still licking its wounds after the humiliating loss to Pakistan in the final of the ICC Champions Trophy. The fans, both foreign and domestic, have taken to Twitter to criticize the team and make fun of them over the last couple of days.

But amidst all of this, there was a tweet which came from a very β€˜unlikely' source. One of Pakistan's opening batsmen, Azhar Ali, took to Twitter to thank Indian players for spending time with his children while in England.

Thanks to these legends for sparing their time for my kids they were so happy.... @msdhoni @imVkohli @YUVSTRONG12 pic.twitter.com/mxWlwsOxrI

The cricketers he mentioned in the tweet are MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, and Yuvraj Singh. He even called them legends, which we will admit they are.

The tweet has over 57,000 likes and 18,000 retweets in less than 24 hours and the number continues to grow with time. People from all around the world have been commenting about the heartwarming nature of this tweet.

Among all the fans was one big name, Mahesh Bhatt. The Indian filmmaker replied to the tweet, β€œHumanity restored! The world is changed by your action not your opinion.”

This reply itself has over 850 retweets and almost 5,000 likes. Here are what some others had to say:
