ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's elder son, Hussain Nawaz, is expected to appear once more before the Panama case Joint Investigation Team (JIT) today.

This will be the sixth time the premier's elder son has been summoned by the JIT probing the Sharif family's assets in light of the Supreme Court's April 20 judgment.Β

With the JIT's July 10 deadline approaching, the ongoing week has seen a flurry of activity concerning the high-profile probe, with the prime minister's cousin Tariq Shafi, younger son Hasan Nawaz and Finance Minister Ishaq Dar being summoned in the last two days and the premier's daughter, Maryam Nawaz, expected to appear on Wednesday.Β

On June 9, after his fifth appearance before the JIT, Hussain said, ?Looking at the type of questions asked, I don?t think I will be summoned again by the JIT in near future?.

In a brief talk with journalists before the session, Hussain said investigations should be based on facts and not allegations.Β
