Randhir Kapoor Once Struggled To Even Pay Tuition Fees For Kareena & Karisma

Kareena Kapoor and Karisma Kapoor never shy away from showing the pure sibling love that they have for each other. They also have a strong bond with their parents- Randhir Kapoor and Babita.

However, despite being a popular actor, it wasn’t easy for Randhir Kapoor to raise his daughters.

In an old interview, he had revealed that how difficult it was for him to earn money in his time and how it is easier for today’s actors to earn money.

He said that he worked extremely hard just to pay their tuition fees, electricity bills, his wife’s expenses and that even drinking a good scotch was a burden for him.

He said, “I wish I was young today. Aaj kal ke actors kitna saara paisa kamate hai (Today’s actors make a lot of money). We worked really hard to earn money. The tuition fees of my children, my electricity bills, Babita ke kharche (Babita’s expenses), my Scotch, was all paid from the money that I earned from acting in films.”

He further elaborated saying, “Today’s stars have become very choosy. They just do one film a year. That is because they also earn from endorsements, events and other avenues. We could never do just one film a year. If we did not work, there would be no money to run our homes and pay our bills."

Earlier, the family went through a hard time during Karisma Kapoor’s divorce.

The matter is sub judice and hence, I can't comment further. Eventually, the entire truth will come out."

Even the lives of the most famous Indian celebrities aren’t a cakewalk or as starry as we might think.
