    At the recently held press conference, John Abraham refused to talk about The Kashmir Files stating he was there to talk about his film Attack and will only do that. 
    During the promotions, he has also been mentioning how promoting films on shows does not necessarily translate into additional ticket sales at the box office. 
    And now, during an interview with Tried & Refused Productions YouTube channel, John talked about how promoting a film on The Kapil Sharma Show doesn’t really help a film much.

    He said that his director Lakshya Raj Anand is quite hyperactive when it comes to film promotions and marketing and added, “I haven’t seen the film (The Kashmir Files) but I told him, the best example of a film working without marketing is right in front of you. It has just happened. And another film that was over-marketed….correct. Tell this boy.” 

    John continued, “He took me to The Kapil Sharma Show saying, ‘I want to be on Kapil Sharma’. (laughs)” Adding, “I love Kapil. He is a nice boy. But promoting a film on the show doesn’t translate into ticket sales.” 
    Lakshya, in his defence, replied that it gives the film awareness. To which John responded, “Yeh sudhrega nahin. Kitna main isko bolun? (He doesn’t want to understand.) I told him, ‘Lakshya, we are doing this for you. I am telling you this doesn't work but we are doing this for you.’ ”

    For the unversed, The Kashmir Files director Vivek Agnihotri had claimed before the release that Kapil Sharma refused to promote their film on his show stating it didn’t have big stars. 
    Kapil later denied the accusation while Anupam Kher revealed in an interview that he was, in fact, invited for the show but he decided not to go considering the subject of the film was quite serious. 
    The Kashmir Files wasn’t promoted on the show, it went on to collect over Rs 230 crore at the box office and is expected to hit the Rs 250 crore mark by the end of its historic run.

    As for John Abraham’s Attack, the film is slated to release on April 1, 2022, and also stars Jacqueline Fernandez, Rakul Preet Singh and Prakash Raj.

    Filmmaker Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri is currently basking in the historic success of his latest release, The Kashmir Files. Featuring his wife Pallavi Joshi, Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, Darshan Joshi, and others in pivotal roles, the film has exceeded everyone's expectations by entering the Rs. 200 crore club. Based on the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits, the movie is performing well in the third week as well, despite strong competition from SS Rajamouli's RRR.

    Ever since its release on March 11, several Bollywood stars came out in the film's support and one of them is Kangana Ranaut. On social media and in several interviews, the Queen star supported and appreciated The Kashmir Files, when other celebrities were in no mood to talk about it. Later, Agnihotri too praised Kangana for standing up for the movie that shares the heart-breaking story of Kashmiri Pandits. 
    As per the latest buzz, Kangana might be working with Vivek on a film. However, the news has turned out to be false. Yes, you read that right!
    Reportedly, after the success of The Kashmir Files, the director will focus on The Delhi Files. Also, he hasn't even begun to consider what he would like to make next.

    While talking to Bollywood Hungama, Vivek reacted to the ongoing speculations and talked about working with stars. He said, "My films don’t need stars. They need actors. When I started my journey 12 years ago I decided I will make my kind of films and I will never make a star-driven film. I firmly believe cinema is the writer and director’s medium".
    Well, his statement is surely going to disappoint Kangana fans. 
    Coming back to his next venture, The Delhi Files focuses on the right to life and marks the end of the 'Files' trilogy. Revealing the same, Vivek had earlier said, "Coming up next is The Delhi Files and then I am done with the Files trilogy. No power on earth and no amount of money can persuade me to turn the Files into a franchise. It was always meant to be a trilogy. Nothing can change that. Those who know me from before would know that I’ve been making the films that I want to make for the last ten years. I am the last person who is going to think, ‘The audience is addicted to the franchise, so let’s make one more.’ I will never do that".

    Whenever a new IPL season starts, all eyes are on the players who went for big big bucks in the auction. Ahead of IPL 2022, there were several players, both capped and uncapped, who caused a bidding war among franchises in the auction and made them pay exorbitant amounts to include them on their roster.
    Like most teams, SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) had also made some exciting signings in the mega auction. That’s why when these two former champions faced each other in their opening match, their fans were obviously excited to see these new signings doing justice to their price tag.

    However, only some of them were able to fulfill the fans’ expectations and the majority of them belonged to the Rajasthan-based outfit which helped them start their IPL 2022 campaign with a massive 61-run win over their Southern rivals at the MCA stadium in Pune.
    Chasing a massive total, the SRH batting unit crumbled like a pack of cards, with two of their top four batters folding for a duck and two others managing a single-digit score.

    Most of the SRH batters cut a sorry figure but according to fans the biggest disappointment was the West Indies white-ball skipper vice-captain Nicholas Pooran, who got out for a nine-ball duck. Overall, it was his sixth duck in 34 IPL innings. 
    Barring a few odd occasions, Pooran’s IPL record has been far from satisfactory but still the SRH management splashed a whopping Rs 10.75 crore on him in the auction last month.

    At the time, the decision had left everyone surprised but his dismissal last night provided the fans with an opportunity to go after him and the franchise and they did so in the most hilarious manner possible.     Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt have been dating for a few years now and even started sharing their PDA posts on social media a while back. 
    Fans have been itching to know when the duo is going to get hitched and thus, this question comes up more often than ever, anytime the Brahmastra actors interact with the media or fans.

    In a recent interview with NDTV, Ranbir cleared the air on the wedding plans and confirmed that the couple does intend to get married soon. 

    "I won't give out a date during a media interaction. But Alia and I have all the intentions of getting married soon, so yes, hopefully soon,” he said.

    In another interview with the same media portal earlier, the question was asked to Alia and she said, "In my head, I am married to Ranbir, in fact, I am married to Ranbir in my head for a long time."  
    The actress has had a crush on the actor since she was 11 and they started dating while shooting for Ayan Mukerji’s sci-fi trilogy, Brahmastra.

    Rumours of them tying the knot in April this year were doing the rounds when an entertainment daily reached out to Rima Jain, Ranbir’s aunt and she confirmed that they will get married, not in April though. She said the date wasn’t finalised yet.

    Kabir Singh was one Bollywood movie that continues to divide opinion even now.
    The movie, which starred Bollywood hunk Shahid Kapoor alongside Kiara Advani, revolved around the story of Kabir (Shahid), a genius and short-tempered medical student, who falls in love with Preeti (Kiara).
    While the movie did well at the box office and was liked by fans, its portrayal of relationships led to many criticizing the movie for promoting violence against women and supporting toxic love culture.
    Kabir Singh was a remake of the 2017 film Arjun Reddy that starred South Indian movie superstar Vijay Deverakonda, however, the fan following for the original is incomparable.

    Now, according to a Bollywood director, the Shahid Kapoor film is actually a copy of a movie starring Bollywood superstar Salman Khan.

    According to actor-turned-director Satish Kaushik, Kabir Singh was an adapted copy of Salman's Tere Naam (2003) movie.

    Tere Naam was directed by Satish himself and was about the story of Radhe (Salman), a rowdy boy, who ends up falling in a love with Nirjara (Bhumika).

    Earlier, it had been reported that a Tere Naam remake would be something that might be on the cards for Salman, who's already coming with the No Entry sequel.
    Speaking with Indian Express, Satish said that the film would have to adapt to the changing times, and how Salman didn't like the character in the film, which is similar to Kabir Singh.  
    “We’ll definitely need to adapt with the times. Making the same film and getting the same performance out of Salman will be difficult. Salman always said the film is good and will definitely work. But the character gives the wrong message in it. There was a debate on Kabir Singh too. Kabir Singh was an adapted copy of Tere Naam.
    “The guy is trying to tell the girl that he loves her, yet he is not ready to take no from her. That’s definitely not good. But if you notice, that’s the culture in small cities even today, where a guy ends up running after a girl. As a filmmaker, your responsibility, whether you want to show such a love story or not, is a different issue altogether. One would definitely want to avoid that (today). You can’t fall in love with someone who’s said no to you. But that’s what passion was all about then, where you won’t take no from a person.” said Satish.
    Salman is already on course to star in Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan and also in his upcoming Tiger 3 film alongside Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi.

    Vijay Devarakonda, who rose to fame after Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Arjun Reddy, is among the most-loved stars of South Indian cinema. After building a name for himself in regional cinema, the actor will be making his Bollywood debut with the pan-India movie Liger. 
    The sports action film, produced by Dharma Productions and Puri Connects, is expected to be released in Hindi and Telugu, as well as dubbed versions in Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam. Starring Ananya Panday as the female lead, the film is directed by Puri Jagannadh.

    Liger is all set to hit the theatres later this year, on August 25, and fans of Vijay and Ananya are eagerly waiting for the film. Even before its release, the actor-director duo has already announced their next film together, titled Jana Gana Mana (JGM). 
    At the launch event, while talking about Liger, Vijay declared it a hit in advance. When asked about being under pressure ahead of his Bollywood debut, the actor shared, "People make it aware to me that there is this huge following and I am happy to know that it exists. But having said that I don't feel any kind of pressure with Liger because I know it's a sure hit. I am not bothered about it, I am just waiting for the film to release".

    Calling Liger a blockbuster, the Dear Comrade star also talked about working with Karan Johar and said, "After watching Dear Comrade and Arjun Reddy, Karan came to me and told me that he loved me as an actor and told me that he wanted to work with me. Few months later he came with Liger. I am very grateful to him for giving me this opportunity. Karan can thank me after the film releases because we will give him a blockbuster. I want this film to be huge as Karan has taken a terrific decision, and I want him to be happy with his decision. If Liger becomes a huge hit, he will take more such decisions, and more talented actors will get opportunities to work in more national films, work in big projects". 

    Well, only time will tell if the actor is being confident or underconfident.  
    On the career front, the actor is yet to announce his next project after Liger and Jana Gana Mana (JGM).

    Now, a new celebrity brand valuation report by Duff & Phelps has listed the young actress as the most valued female celeb of 2021.

    Alia is listed at the 4th spot with a brand valuation of $68.1 million way higher than any other female celeb including actresses. 

    She is followed by Deepika Padukone who is at the 7th spot with a brand valuation of $51.6 million.

    Alia was at the 6th spot in last year’s list while Deepika was at the 5th. 

    There are three other female celebs on the list that include Anushka Sharma and Kareena Kapoor Khan at 14th spot with a brand valuation of $29.7 million and PV Sindhu at 20th spot with a valuation of $22 million.  
    Self-proclaimed 'number 1' actress in Bollywood Kangana Ranaut is nowhere to be found on the list of celebrity brand valuations.  
    As for the full list of top 20, Virat Kohli is at the number 1 position with a brand valuation of $185.7 million.  
    Ranveer Singh takes the second spot with $158.3 million and Akshay is at the 3rd spot with $139.6 million.  
    Shah Rukh Khan, who was in the 4th spot on last year’s list has seen a huge decline and is slotted at the 12th spot with a $46.3 million brand valuation of 2021.
