For the debutant Gujarat Titans, it was almost a perfect start to the season. The Hardik Pandya-led side started their journey in the IPL on a bang, defeating fellow newcomers Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) by five wickets in their opening encounter of IPL 2022.
Fast bowler Mohammed Shami was the wrecker in chief for the Ahmedabad-based outfit as he started the new season with a dream delivery, which brought opposition skipper KL Rahul’s stay in the middle to an end ever before it started.

After getting the prized scalp of the LSG captain, the Indian speedster then rattled the timbers of his opening partner Quinton de Kock and Manish Pandey in his next two overs, pushing Lucknow on the backfoot.

Shami’s opening spell became a huge talking point on the internet as people from all over the world lavished praise on the veteran pacer for his incredible performance, which set up the whole match for his new franchise.

However, there was one appreciation tweet that ended up hogging the same amount of attention, if not more, as Shami’s outstanding bowling spell. This tweet came from the official handle of a famous Porn actress Kendra Lust.

    Absolutely wonderful performance by @mdshami11 #LSGvsGT #IPL2022
    — Kendra Lust™ (@KendraLust) March 28, 2022
“Absolutely wonderful performance by @mdshami11 #LSGvsGT #IPL2022,” Lust wrote on Twitter.

The adult actress’ tweet sparked a joke fest on the micro-blogging site as Indian cricket fans used their creativity and entertained one another. Most of them were actually interested in knowing whether she actually followed cricket.
no wonder his line and length is perfect

    — Simran Randhawa (@Randhawa36_) March 29, 2022 This was not the first time her tweet about an Indian celebrity had grabbed eyeballs. Last year, she had posted a photo-shopped picture of herself with Bollywood superstar Salman Khan and sent her best wishes to the actor on his birthday.
Talking about his performance, Shami was simply unplayable in his opening spell as he made the most of the perfect bowling conditions at the Wankhede Stadium and troubled the batters by bowling consistent “Test match” line and lengths.
Shami, who played for Punjab Kings last year, couldn’t have asked for a better start to the new season. He was adjudged the Player of the Match for his opening burst, and rightly so.
Reflecting on his performance at the post match presentation, Shami said: “I was warmed up well. It was important to get a good start in the first match, I looked to bowl a Test match line and length here. When the ball comes out of your hand like that. I have worked very hard on this seam position.”
“People say it is god-gifted, but that's not the case. I try to come round the wicket to a leftie and make that angle because that's the most uncomfortable thing for them. I just look to do that,” he added.
The Gujarat Titans fans would hope that Shami carries on his rich vein of form and continues to produce similar performances in the upcoming games.

Post the third wave of the coronavirus pandemic, the Hindi film industry got back on its feet thanks to the big success of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi starring Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn.
The film received positive reviews and has, so far, collected Rs 193 crore at the worldwide box office.
A month later, SS Rajamouli’s RRR was released and broke the box office globally. For its release weekend, it achieved a rare feat by becoming the number one movie around the world earning $65 million.

In comparison, the second spot was taken by the holdover The Batman which collected $45 million in the same weekend.

So far, in the first five days of its release, RRR has collected an estimate of Rs 625 crore.
Now, one thing that’s common between Gangubai Kathiawadi and RRR, is the presence of Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn.
While Alia was the lead star in Gangubai Kathiawadi, she plays a brief but important role in the magnum opus RRR.
On the other hand, Ajay Devgn plays a strong supporting role of Rahim Lala in Gangubai Kathiawadi and makes a brief but crucial appearance in RRR that’s integral to the plot and leaves a lasting impression.

Now, as we come towards the end of the first quarter of 2022, the top-grossing stars in terms of box office numbers are Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn with a massive total of Rs 818 crore and counting.

By the end of the box office run of RRR, the numbers will definitely go past Rs 1000 crore.
Interestingly, the second spot of the top-grossing stars of the 2022 first quarter belongs to the main leads of RRR - Jr NTR and Ram Charan.

The third spot is grabbed by Mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Kher and Darshan Kumar thanks to the massive success of The Kashmir Files, which went on to collect Rs 266.40 crore globally in the first 18 days of its release.

RRR, directed by SS Rajamouli and starring Ram Charan and Jr NTR, has shattered multiple box office records in just five days of its release. The pan-India film, also featuring Alia Bhatt, Olivia Morris, and Ajay Devgn in significant roles, is doing exceptionally well in Hindi markets and has already crossed the Rs. 100 crore mark.

After Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, RRR is on its way to become another success story for Rajamouli. However, did you know that several Bollywood actresses rejected the film for different reasons? Below, let's take a look at the list of actresses who said 'no' to Rajamouli's ambitious project.

Shraddha Kapoor View this post on Instagram
According to reports, Shraddha's name was on the top of the director's wishlist, however, she couldn't be a part of RRR due to date issues and turned down the offer. Back then, a source had told TOI, "Shraddha is now one of the busiest actresses in Bollywood. She already has to adjust her dates according to multiple films that she has signed up. Her name was on top of the list, but it does seem that she will not be able to adjust her dates for the film".
Parineeti Chopra View this post on Instagram
Earlier, Parineeti was in talks to play Sita's character. Reacting to the reports, in 2019, the actress had said, "I'll only say that you guys should wait and believe the things we announce". Back then, it was being speculated that Alia had declined the role due to her hectic schedule. However, at last, she played the small yet significant role of Sita in RRR. Recently, various reports suggested that the Raazi star is unhappy with her screen time in the film. But, looks like everything is fine between her and Rajamouli.
Amy Jackson View this post on Instagram
Last seen alongside Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar in 2.0, Amy was reportedly approached to play Jr NTR's love interest in RRR. However, the producers later decided to drop their plan to bring her on board because she was pregnant with her first child.

Isabelle Kaif View this post on Instagram
Not just Amy Jackson, Katrina Kaif's sister Isabelle too apparently received the offer to play Jr NTR's love interest. However, she reportedly rejected the film as she wanted the script and details of the movie. Well, Isabelle's loss turned out to be Olivia Morris' gain, who at last played the same role.
For the unversed, Isabella made her Bollywood debut last year opposite Sooraj Pancholi in Stanley Menino D'Costa's Time To Dance.

‘I’d have done the same thing’, said my boyfriend this morning when he and I were discussing what went down at the Oscars the night when actor Will Smith slapped comedian Chris Rock for making a joke in poor taste at Smith’s wife Jada Pinkett Smith.
    View this post on Instagram
Chris Rock, while on the stage at the Oscars, took a dig at Jada by calling her ‘G. I Jane’, pointing at the loss of her hair at which she wasn’t amused in the slightest. And neither was Will Smith, who even though was caught laughing at the joke at first, was suddenly then seen marching up to the stage to strike Chris across the face.
    © Twitter
Now, two kinds of reactions flooded the internet when this happened - one like my boyfriend, who condoned Smith’s actions and others like me, who don’t stand for the violence it endorsed.

But it wasn’t until I asked my boyfriend why he would do what Smith did, that things became a tad bit clearer to me. That it was probably more about Will Smith than it was about Jada in that one brief moment.

Most men, thanks to society, have been conditioned to be the ‘protectors’ and ‘knights in shining armour’ for women, expected to protect them and their honour. Which is why, when Will Smith smacked the shit out of Chris Rock at the Oscars and on worldwide television, it was hailed as an intense act of chivalry.
And one such example supporting my argument is when actress Sienna Miller was heard endorsing Smith’s actions at the Oscars after-party as she told her date, ‘I hope you would do the same for me.’
If someone attacked my wife unprovoked, they would get more than a slap! Will smith is totally justified, if you ask me.
    — Beauvoir (@BeauKariuki) March 29, 2022I believe he was justified. He's may not be a perfect husband or dad. But he's a man. Who is perfect? Chris certainly wasn't that's why he collected a slap in the first place so.. Well sometimes do your mind. The world will adjust with time. I stand Will Smith forever
    — Silas Marner (@Iam_whiterice) March 29, 2022#WillSmithAssault My opinion on the will smith slap, it’s justified, cope. It was a bitch slap, he won’t die, calm down.
    — Phantom (@MVPhantom_) March 29, 2022 And then there were a bunch of folks in the comment section, talking about how a man shouldn’t be called a ‘MAN’ if he doesn’t feel riled up at a joke made at his woman’s expense.
The exaggerated machismo in the commented section was probably as unnecessary as Smith’s slap, and I’ll tell you why that is.
Will Smith just punched Chris Rock and told him "keep my wife's name out of your f***ing mouth" pic.twitter.com/1f1ytdbMRv
    — CJ Fogler (@cjzer0) March 28, 2022
Simply, because these are the same people who have often stood silent at the bylines when they’ve witnessed a woman getting harassed in a metro or in a classroom. But when it comes to a public show like this one, when the world is watching, you don’t want to look like a weakling who stayed mum, you want to look strong and tough and so, the best you can come up with is an unwarranted slap.
    View this post on Instagram
Let’s re-imagine the entire situation for a second, this time with a little tweak...

Instead of Will Smith getting up and walking up to Rock to beat the shit out of him, let’s wonder what would have happened if he had given himself a few seconds to analyze and control his emotions. Would he still have gotten up to smack the comedian? Probably not. And I know that because, despite the people who support his violent outburst on National Television, he himself doesn’t condone his actions. And his apology made that pretty apparent.
Will Smith apologises to Chris Rock for Oscars slap: 'I was out of line and I was wrong' - Variety. Next some other fool will use the same excuse when they kill someone, not good enough https://t.co/RhJR5Qn9t1
    — leila rezazad (@gilass) March 29, 2022 Yes, Chris Rock might have gone too far, trying to get a laugh out of someone’s trauma, but at the end of the day, doesn’t taking jokes come with the territory of being a celebrity? While I agree that just because it’s part and parcel of showbiz to know how to stomach a joke (even a nasty one), one can’t and shouldn’t have to put up with something that’s hurtful. But does it really have to warrant a violent reaction?
If getting the point across was really the purpose here, his yelling would have sufficed. But the idea here was something else, it was to match up to the standards of being an ‘ideal man’ who would fight for his woman.
Had there been a physical threat at Jada and her safety, I’d understand where his reaction would have stemmed from, but for a joke that, according to several people wasn’t even extremely offensive to begin with, Will Smith’s actions were totally uncalled for and came as a cry for help.
The hypocrisy of Hollywood making woke noises that make nice liberal soundbites but then when #WillSmith unprofessional slaps a colleague on stage and cusses from his seat, he is comforted and later applauded and joined at after parties. Did anyone ask how Chris Rock was?
    — Frankly Brutal (@candidandhonest) March 29, 2022
After all, the hypocrisy of Will Smith and everyone else who condoned his actions wasn’t lost on anyone. Because if what Chris Rock said was bad, how Will Smith reacted was worse. And perhaps that is why, all of us who were divided over our opinion on the matter, are a 'work in progress' too, just like Smith said he was in his apology!

    Remember Somy Ali?

The former Pakistan-born Bollywood actress dated industry superstar Salman Khan a long time ago, with the couple head over heels in love with each other.
    © M.R. Shahjahan
The actress starred in several Bollywood movies in the 90s, however, her career as well as her relationship with Salman, were both short-lived and she decided to leave India.

Now, while she's clearly broken her bond with the film industry in India, it looks like she has some very crucial information to share with all of us.
    View this post on Instagram
The 46-year-old actress has taken to Instagram to issue a warning to expose the biggest sexual predator of Bollywood.

Not just that, Somy has also gone to the extent of calling him the 'Harvey Weinstein of Bollywood'.
    © Reuters
Weinstein was at the centre of the big Me Too movement with many stars accusing the Hollywood biggie of sexually assaulting them.

According to reports, more than 80 women had made allegations against Weinstein that included charges of rape for which the producer was sentenced to 23 years in prison.
Now, Somy has put up an Instagram post to indicate that there exists a version of Harvey Weinstein in Bollywood as well, and she's also tagged Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in it.
    View this post on Instagram
"The Harvey Weinstein of Bollywood! You will be exposed. The women you abused will come out one day and share their truth. Just like @aishwaryaraibachchan_arb." Somy wrote.

    © Instagram
This news obviously has a big shock value and is set to create a lot of public uproar for Bollywood, which has come under a lot of criticism in recent times.

What exactly is Aishwarya's say in all of this, remains to be seen. The actress had already been reported to be one of the female stars who came across Hollywood's Harvey Weinstein.
Aishwarya's Hollywood agent had once revealed that Weinstein wanted to get alone in a room with her and did everything to achieve that objective.
    © Twitter
However, her agent squashed any chances he made and helped the actress get out from under his grip.

It's still unclear whether Somy will elaborate on her statement on Instagram in the near future. But it should still be enough to create a certain curiosity amongst people regarding who the actual person is, the so-called 'Harvey Weinstein of Bollywood'.
