MS Dhoni’s decision to relinquish the leadership position at Chennai Super Kings (CSK), just a couple of days before the start of the new season, had come as a huge surprise to the entire cricketing community around the world.
From fans to experts, everybody was taken aback when the defending champions announced Dhoni had decided to give up CSK captaincy and picked Ravindra Jadeja as his successor.

Not just the people on the outside but those inside the CSK camp also didn’t want the legendary skipper to step down from the role, especially the newcomers who had joined the franchise last month and were looking forward to playing under his leadership.
New Zealand opener Devon Conway was one such player. The Kiwi batter, who was excited to play under Dhoni’s command, recently revealed the “little conversation” he had with the former skipper after learning of his decision.

The 30-year-old revealed that he really wanted to play under his captaincy and even tried to convince the former India captain to reconsider his decision and lead the franchise for one more season but he stayed firm on his decision.
“I was wanting to play under the great MS (Dhoni) as captain. I had a nice little conversation with him. I said, 'You're sure you don't want to captain one more season so I can play under you as captain? He said ‘No, but I am always going to be around anyway.’” Conway said in a video posted by CSK.

Dhoni is arguably the greatest skippers of all-time and most players in the world wanted to play under his captaincy. When Conway was picked by CSK at the IPL 2022 mega auction, he must have been really thrilled that he would get a chance to take the field under the legendary skipper’s command.
Conway’s action reminded me of my younger self when I used to constantly push my parents to buy me chocolates, fully knowing that they would never get me one because I had cavities.

Dhoni’s surprise decision, in a way, broke the Kiwi opener’s heart. Although he knew his request wouldn’t make much of a difference, still he tried to convince the former leader to rethink his decision out of hope.
The left-handed opener also said that both Dhoni and Jadeja, despite being superstars of world cricket are “down-to-earth” and very approachable.

“A couple of days ago I had lunch and sat in between MS and Jaddu. It was really cool just to get to know them better. There are just normal men, down-to-earth. There's no aura about them, easy to get along and easy to talk to,” Conway added.
Having lost their opening encounter against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), the defending champions would be looking to get on the winning ways when they take on KL Rahul’s Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) later tonight (March 31).

Filmmaker Karan Johar, the head honcho of Dharma Productions, often comes under fire for launching star kids and promoting nepotism in Bollywood. For a change, KJo is now being trolled for endorsing a matrimonial platform for 'highly educated' IIT and IIM alumni.

Taking to social media, the director-producer posted an advertisement in which he talks about finding right partner with mental compatibility. He is seen saying, "Hum ek baar jeete hai, ek baar marte hai. Aur shaadi bhi ek hi baar karte hai. Isiliye, bahot zaruri hai ki life partner ka decision humara correct ho. Aur yeh aasan nahi hai, especially for highly-educated. Qki agar aap highly educated ho toh aap age, caste, height, vagera dekhne se pehle, ek partner me mental compatibility dhundte ho".
In the caption, KJo wrote, "A matrimonial platform like no other - IITIIMShaadi.com! And I'm super excited to see some 'real' love come to life, not just reel! If you are looking for your life partner, https://www.iitiimshaadi.com/ should be your go-to site. They invite alumni of the top 10-15 colleges from all fields to register and find a match amongst each other!"

However, both the concept and brand ambassador (Karan Johar) have been receiving backlash from netizens. In the comments section, people are brutally trolling KJo by calling him the “brand manager for elitism”.
Reacting to the video, an Instagram user wrote, "Wow. I guess they have been successful making you brand manager for elitism. This is such bulls*it".
Another user commented, "Are you serious?? If this isn't a joke then you are by endorsing this ridiculous platform".
A third user wrote, "WTF!!! Is this some kind of joke??? Imagine all the Ivy league colleges making a matrimonial website".

Sharing a statement about the 67-year-old star’s diagnosis, his ex-wife and actress Demi Moore wrote, “To Bruce’s amazing supporters, as a family we wanted to share that our beloved Bruce has been experiencing some health issues and has recently been diagnosed with aphasia, which is impacting his cognitive abilities. As a result of this and with much consideration Bruce is stepping away from the career that has meant so much to him. This is a really challenging time for our family and we are so appreciative of your continued love, compassion and support. We are moving through this as a strong family unit, and wanted to bring his fans in because we know how much he means to you, as you do to him.
