    Contemporary new look, bold design and a lot more style!
    Days after Chivas unveiled its new fresh new look for its flagship blend, we’ve been on a mission to decode the latest design and the attention to detail. And here’s everything we found out… 
    Attention To Design  Chivas
    After an unparalleled legacy of 112 years, Chivas 12 – one of the world’s biggest selling Scotch whiskies – has undergone an extensive redesign of its bottle, label and pack to usher in a striking new look that blends boldness, modernity, and status while still flexing the luxury and distinguished heritage long associated with Chivas.
    The redesign sees the iconic Chivas 12 bottle reshaped and elongated to stand taller and prouder while still retaining its recognisable rounded shoulders. A redesigned crest shines a light on the beating heart of Chivas – the ‘luckenbooth’, a symbol embodying the Chivas values of ambition, generosity and unapologetic success.
    The outer box has undergone a complete renewal with a vibrant burgundy replacing the familiar silver and gold tones as the principal colour scheme. The package retains the intricate detailing and textured finish loved by Chivas fans worldwide. 
    Sustainability At Its Heart Chivas
    The entire redesign project was conceived with sustainability at its heart as part of the company’s target of 100% recyclable, reusable, compostable or bio-based packaging after a few years. The new bottle is lighter, saving over 1000 tonnes of glass annually, while the outer packaging is now made from fully recyclable materials. The whisky in each bottle remains the same renowned smooth, rich and generous Chivas 12 blend.
    The redesign is inspired by the aesthetics of a new, style-conscious generation of Scotch Whisky drinkers who are reforming and re-evaluating what luxury looks like. 
    New Generation of Whiskey Drinkers Chivas
    Chivas 12 seeks to capture the attention of a new successful, stylish and status-driven generation with its contemporary new looks. This colossal change is aimed at introducing the new generation of Chivas drinkers to vibrant choices.
    “The new design adds Boldness, Modernity and a bit of flash to the Iconic and Timeless heritage of Chivas. Through the redesign, we aim to build a stronger connect with our millennial consumer, who is unapologetic about their success and choices in life. Sustainability has been at the helm of reconceptualising Chivas 12 for a new conscious generation. The redesign also brings the brand’s commitment to sustainability to the forefront”, says Kartik Mohindra, Chief Marketing Officer, Pernod Ricard India.

    Kangana Ranaut, one of Bollywood's most popular actresses, is also dubbed ‘controversy's favourite child’. She continues to be in the spotlight due to her constant stream of opinions and controversial statements. 
    Her infamous relationship with filmmaker Karan Johar has been in the public domain for a long time now. The rivalry, which dates back a few years, continues to make headlines.

    Kangana never leaves a chance to comment on KJo and in her latest social media post, she has presumably accused him once again. 
    In her Instagram story, without naming the Kuch Kuch Hota Hai helmer, Kangana allegedly blamed him for banning her from an entertainment portal. She ended the long note by stating that "his time is up". 
    She wrote, "In the latest news, movie mafia daddy a fading director and now failing producer as well who is desperately clinging to south superstars and their movies to save his fading career has got me banned in an entertainment website **villa where he has bought most of the stakes".

    The Manikarnika star further added, "And secretly runs it for his and nepotism mafia propaganda, but he is suddenly rattled and now controlling everything on grassroot level. I wonder why!!! Maybe because he realizes that his time is up and he is nervous".

    In the post, she also taunted him for clinging to south superstars and movies to save his "fading career". Interestingly, Johar's production house recently acquired the rights of the Malayalam film Hridayam along with Fox Star Studios. Also, he hosted the trailer launch event of Yash-starrer KGF 2 and is producing South star Vijay Devarakonda's pan-India release, Liger. 

    We wonder how Karan would react to the actress' accusations. 

    This isn't the first time when Kangana has taken a jibe at the head honcho of Dharma Productions. The actress has been criticising him in public since she referred to him as the "flag-bearer of nepotism" on his show Koffee With Karan. Not Just KJo, she often slams his protegee, Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt. 
    On the career front, she was last seen in Thalaivi in which she played the late actress-politician J Jayalalithaa and got positive reviews. The biopic was released last year in theatres, however, failed to do well at the box office as the COVID-19 pandemic played spoilsport. Also, back then, major multiplex chains refused to screen Kangana's film in North India.

    The 94th Academy Awards made headlines around the world for a controversy that erupted during the live telecast.  

    The whole world was left in shock when actor Will Smith walked up to the stage and slapped actor-comedian Chris Rock for cracking a joke on his wife and actress Jada Pinkett Smith. 
    Initially, the slap was assumed by many to be staged but soon, everyone realised the incident was as real as it gets.

    Soon, people took sides. Many called out Will Smith, who later won the Best Actor award, for his misconduct and appreciated Chris Rock for maintaining his demeanour during the whole incident. 

    There were others who criticised both Smith and Rock for displaying toxic masculinity on stage. 
    Among those who think what Will did was absolutely right includes Bollywood star Kangana Ranaut. 
    She took to her Instagram account and uploaded a screenshot of the moment Will slapped Chris and wrote that if any “idiot” would make fun of her mother or sister’s illness she too would slap that person like Will did. 
    She also added jokingly that she hopes he joins her reality show Lock Upp. 
    She wrote, “If some idiot used my mom or sister’s illness to make bunch of fools laugh I would slap him like Will Smith did … bad ass move… hope he comes to my #lockup”.

    Well, Smith may not join Lock Upp anytime soon but he did appear in a cameo in Kangana’s favourite human Karan Johar’s Student of the Year 2 and was seen shaking a leg with Tiger Shroff, Ananya Panday, Tara Sutaria and Aditya Seal.

    As for the slap controversy, Chris Rock decided not to press assault charges against Will Smith. 
    As for Smith, he went on to win the Best Actor award for his performance in King Richard.

    A few years back in an interview, Akshaye Khanna had revealed that he was the first actor to hear the script of Dil Chahta Hai and had told Farhan Akhtar that he would want to play the character of Aakash and not Siddharth.
    Later, when Farhan got Aamir Khan on-board, he too expressed his desire to play Aakash’s role and considering the filmmaker wanted Akshaye for Siddharth’s role, he agreed. 
    Later, Farhan went back to Akshaye and told him about signing Aamir to play Aakash’s role. Akshaye, who wasn’t quite keen to play Siddharth’s character, initially heard the script a couple of times more and eventually agreed to come on board. And as they say, the rest is history.

    Well, this wasn’t the only time where Aamir took on a character that Akshaye too was in the running to play. 

    Something similar happened a few years after Dil Chahta Hai when Amol Gupte approached Aamir to help him get in touch with Akshaye because he wanted to offer him a script that was eventually made into Taare Zameen Par. 
    Before connecting Gupte to Akshaye, Aamir demanded that he wants to hear the script first. When Amol narrated TZP to Aamir, he liked it so much that he decided to come on board as the lead actor and later even took over the film as director. 
    In an interview with Mid-Day, Akshaye was asked about Aamir taking over Taare Zameen Par, the reclusive actor responded, “[Amole Gupte] was a friend of Aamir's and he had approached him to get in touch with me. He asked Aamir if he could help [introduce him to me, and to make me hear a narration], since he didn't know me, and Aamir and I had worked together in Dil Chahta Hai. Aamir being Aamir said, ‘You know I can't recommend a script, unless I hear it first. If I like it, I will tell Akshaye.’ He liked it [Taare Zameen Par] so much that he ended up doing it! I was once shooting at one of the studios — if I remember right, Mehboob. Aamir was also shooting on one of the floors. I went to his van to say hi. He was like, ‘Oh you know what —this happened’. I said, ‘Okay, no problem.’”

    When Akshaye was asked if he regrets not being able to star in the film, he replied, “I don't think I would have done a better job than Aamir. He was superb. So it was good that destiny took him, instead of me.” 

    Back in 2007, when Amol Gupte was asked about Akshaye being the first choice, he told TOI, “As far as casting is concerned, yes, I wanted to meet Akshaye Khanna initially but Aamir expressed his desire to play the lead and the rest is history.”

    Prithvi Shaw was in the news even before the start of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 as multiple media reports stated that he had failed the yoyo test at the National Cricket Academy. 

    While we don't know whether he failed the test or not, it had little impact on his inclusion in the Delhi Capitals team for the ongoing tournament, as he was not a centrally contracted player by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and hence was available for selection even if he hadn't passed the fitness test. 
    Immediately after the news went viral that Shaw had failed the test, the opening batter posted a message on his Instagram story. He urged people not to judge anyone without knowing the whole situation.

    However, the explosive batter left all this behind him when he took the field in Delhi Capitals' season opener against Mumbai Indians.
    Shaw came out to open the innings with Tim Seifert but after a quick start, he saw three wickets fall in just five deliveries at the other end. The 22-year-old kept going and hit two sixes and four boundaries to keep his side in the contest.

    Shaw did not have the best of outings in the Ranji Trophy, where he scored 107 runs in four outings for Mumbai. But he got his mojo back as his handy cameo helped Delhi to chase down the 178-run target with 10 balls to spare. 

    Witnessing Shaw's return to form, a former member of Delhi Capitals' coaching staff Mohammad Kaif recalled one of the most bizarre rituals that you will hear a batter following to get his rhythm back.

He had this ritual where, before the match, I used to hold a new ball with the seam and throw it underarm towards him, below his knee. He would keep knocking it back to me," Kaif told Sportskeeda. 
    "One day, when I was having tea, a player came in and told me that Shaw was waiting for me outside. I ran outside and asked him what happened. So he told me, ‘please bowl underarm to me, I am not getting runs. I want to start this ritual again’," he added. 
    Well, we have heard multiple stories of players being superstitious including the likes of Virender Sehwag and Zaheer Khan admitting to following a set pattern before every game but what Shaw does whenever he is short of runs has to be one of the most bizarre rituals ever in cricket. 
    But if it works for him, the current Delhi Capitals support staff will be happily giving throw downs to their opening batter to keep him in good mental space before every game.
