Indian Premier League or IPL as it is popularly known as started in 2008 and in a short span of time turned into the biggest cricket league in the world. Among the original eight teams, three were purchased by Hindi film stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta and Shilpa Shetty. However, in 2009, Salman Khan too expressed his desire to buy an IPL team. This was the time when it was announced that two new teams will be added to the fold by 2011. Soon after the reports of Salman being interested in buying an IPL team broke, it was rumoured that he is doing so because of his fight with Shah Rukh Khan. However, in an interview with NDTV, Salman had clarified that his desire to buy a team in IPL has nothing to do with his fight with SRK.

He told the channel, “I have met Lalit (Lalit Modi, then chairman of IPL) and have known him for a very long time now. I am definitely very interested in buying a team but I don’t think it’s in my hands. It’s a bid. So, you have to bid, if the bid is correct then it goes to you.” Salman then added that his father Salim Khan and younger brother Arbaaz are huge cricket fanatics, he, on the other hand, doesn’t know much about the game. When asked if he wants to buy a team because other film stars own one, Salman replied, “No, it’s like because I have joined the film industry before other stars that does not mean that they followed me into this.”  When pointed out about the headlines mentioning his rivalry with SRK the reason behind Salman’s decision to go for an IPL team, he replied, “It could be that we don’t see eye to eye but it’s not eye for an eye.”

     Watch the video below:
Later, in 2012, Salman took to Twitter and wrote, “No IPL team for me jst being human n movies .” He followed it up with, “Clear? Good”. Check out his tweet below:

    — Salman Khan (@BeingSalmanKhan) September 13, 2012
In 2016, post his patch up with Shah Rukh, when Salman was asked about not owning an IPL team, he had replied, “Yeah, that never happened, simply because I don't want to be a part of any one team. If I can, I'd like to join the mother body. I don't see myself fighting with Delhi, Pune or KKR. No doubt, it's a wonderful way to promote sports, but I want to be there (pointing to the top). So, when it becomes Salman's team versus Preity's team or Shah Rukh's team, it no longer remains a sporting thing, it gets into the area of gossip. Also, the 'responsible press' will take away focus from the match, and I don't want to give anybody that kind of mileage. I want to do something for the overall development of sports.”

Premature grey is one of the most common and natural hair issues. Sun, stress, smoking (yes, that’s true) and genetics are all culprits when it comes to premature greying of hair. However, we have been blaming a few other factors as well that have no relation whatsoever with your turning hair lighter.

    © iStock
We have heard these untrue things from our parents, friends or people around us who have believed in these myths too but it’s time to unlearn and get your haircare basics clear so you can treat the premature greys better and the right way, if you want to.

    © iStock
Here are a few myths about grey hair that needs to be busted and you should stop believing right away.

    1. Plucking One Will Make Them All Turn Grey © iStock
It’s what everyone has been telling us and we believed it. However, it’s not true. When you pluck out a grey hair strand, a new one will grow out in its place and not turn the hair around it grey as well.

    2. Grey Hair Is More Common In Men © iStock
The pattern of greying is different for men and women but there is no evidence that states that men get the silver strands earlier than women. While men start to develop grey around the sides, women get it sooner on the frontal area.

    3. Dying It Will Worsen It © iStock
Using natural dyes like henna or hair colours from a good brand is not going to make the greying worse or turn more hair grey. The colour will wash off with time and it won’t make the problem worse.

    4. Grey Hair Looks Bad © iStock
It’s 2022 and no one cares about a few grey strands much as you do for yourself. In fact, grey hair looks really nice if you pull it well, with confidence. A lot of celebs are normalising the salt and pepper look so own it like a boss.

Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan has revealed that there came a time when he decided to quit the film industry. As you know, Aamir's career runs all the way back to the 1980s when he made his star debut in Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (1998), and he hasn't looked back since, having made some terrific movies throughout his more than three-decade-long career.

Now, while the actor is known as Mr. Perfectionist for choosing the right films he wants to be a part of, he reveals that he almost put a stop to all of it. While making an appearance at the ABP Ideas of India event in Mumbai on Saturday (March 26), Aamir revealed how he had been thinking a lot about his life in the last couple of years.

He revealed that he had gained a lot of weight during the pandemic and how he had regrets about not spending a lot of time with his kids and family for so many years.
This was the reason he contemplated quitting Bollywood.

“I feel like I've spent my life chasing my dreams and trying to fulfill them. But during this journey, I didn’t pay attention to my loved ones. My parents, my siblings, my children, my first wife Reena, my second wife Kiran, their parents… Perhaps I couldn’t devote enough time to them. My daughter is now 23. I am sure she must have missed my presence in her life when she was younger. She will have had her own anxieties, fears, dreams, and hopes. I wasn’t there for her, I know this now. I didn’t know her dreams and fears and hopes, but I knew the fears and dreams and hopes of my directors.”

“We know we will run out of time one day, but we don’t know when. I had a sharp realization about this, and that I’ve lived my life in some sort of trance, and I’ve lost a lot because of this.”
“And I was not there,” said Aamir.
The actor also spoke on how when he decided to quit acting, his children convinced him not to.
“(My children said) You’ve spent more time with us in three months than you ever have, leave us alone now,”

He also revealed how a tearful Kiran also told him to think otherwise as he had loved acting more than anything.

Well, we're glad Aamir didn't quit and will be seen in his upcoming Laal Singh Chaddha film and might even star in the Andaz Apna Apna sequel.

India Women's team crashed out of the ongoing World Cup after a heartbreaking loss against South Africa on Sunday (March 27). South Africa needed three runs to win off the last two balls when Deepti Sharma picked up the wicket of the well-set batter Mignon du Preez but India's celebrations were cut short when the TV umpire called it a no-ball.
The Proteas got an extra run and a free-hit. Though Deepti managed to take the match to the last ball, du Preez pushed the ball into the gap and took her side over the line, ending India's campaign.
It wasn't just the no ball which cost India the game today but sometimes an inch costs moments that takes decades to achieve and are possibly once in a lifetime achievement for many players. Disappointing end to India's campaign #IndvSA #cwc22 pic.twitter.com/2DzerovJD1

It was the last World Cup for some of women cricket's legends in Mithali Raj and Jhulan Goswami but their journey ended in a heartbreaking loss.
Former cricketers and fans took to Twitter to back the girls who fought hard on the field but it just was not their day.
Oh dear. So near yet so far. Disappointment for the Indian girls, they tried their best but it was a game of tight margins and credit to South Africa for maintaining their nerves. #IndvSA #CWC22

    — Charu Sharma (@Charuonsports) March 27, 2022 India had a mixed campaign as in some games they looked phenomenal and in some games they just looked out of sorts. While many people are criticising Deepti for bowling that dreaded no-ball, it was India's poor finish with the bat and lacklustre fielding that cost them the game.
India finished their campaign with three wins from seven games and ended on fifth spot in the eight-team tournament. West Indies, who edged India out for a place in the semis, finished with seven points after their game against South Africa was washed out and both teams shared the spoils.
The things went right down to the wire & #TeamIndia fought hard.

But it was South Africa who won a thriller of a match. #CWC22 #INDvSA

After the heartbreaking loss, Team India captain Mithail Raj hinted at a possible transition that might take place in Indian women's cricket.
"Everything should come to an end, it'll take time to settle the emotions, but that is sport. Thanks to everyone who turned out for every Indian game, it was nice to hear your cheers and keep supporting the girls and the Indian women's team in the future," Mithali said.
