MS Dhoni turned back the clock with a fighting half-century that saved Chennai Super Kings (CSK) the blushes in the opening match of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Dhoni came in to bat when CSK were reeling at 61 for five but he put on a fine partnership with the new captain Ravindra Jadeja to bail the team out. Thanks to Dhoni's unbeaten fifty, CSK managed to reach a respectable total of 131 for five.
Dhoni added 70 runs with Jadeja as he brought up his first half-century in three years. Thanks to Dhoni's knock, CSK managed to make a match out of a contest in which they looked down and out from the very first over.

Dhoni relinquished captaincy days before the start of the IPL and gave the reins of CSK to Jadeja that left the cricketing fraternity in shock. However, the way Dhoni has started with the bat for the Men in Yellow will give the defending champions a lot of confidence.
Seeing Dhoni smash the bowlers all over the park at the Wankhede stadium, a venue where he led Team India to their second World Cup title, got fans nostalgic and they flooded Twitter with appreciation posts for the former CSK captain.

    — ᗩᗪITYᗩ ᗩᖇYᗩᑎ (@imadityaaryan) March 26, 2022 Despite Dhoni's vintage knock, Kolkata Knight Riders got the better of the defending champions as they chased down the 132-run target with nine balls to spare.
The loss doesn't mean the end of the world for CSK as they have plenty of games left to make a comeback and now with Dhoni in form with the bat, they will be looking to turn their fortunes around in the upcoming matches.

One thing that this Dhoni innings has done is shut down his doubters who were skeptical about his contribution with the bat as the veteran wicket-keeper batter doesn't play any competitive cricket apart from the IPL.
The Men in Yellow will be bolstered by the availability of their star all-rounder Moeen Ali for their next game that will be against Lucknow Super Giants on March 31.

Indian Rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh has gone on to break the internet and this time around, it's not his music that has done it for him. Honey Singh is one of the most talented Indian rappers in Bollywood, having created some really groovy tracks over the years.

However, following his personal struggles in recent years, the rapper has chosen to stay out of the limelight but on Saturday, Singh went on to surprise his fans by showing his new look on Instagram.

The Desi rapper looked absolutely ripped in what seems to be an amazing physical transformation.

By the picture, it looks like the superstar rapper really undertook a crazy fitness routine to lose weight as he flaunted his ripped arms and muscles on his Instagram handle.
Looking absolutely spectacular while sporting a blue-green tank top and black track pants with a gold chain around his neck, Honey Singh looked fitter than ever and his fans and friends didn't waste a minute to share their reactions to the picture.
"King is back in shape," said a fan.
One user by the name of Jack Sparrow refused to recognize the star by commenting,
"Kon Hai Yeh? (Who is he?)"
"Are bhai itne patle ho gaye. (Brother, you've gotten so slim)" said another fan. Another user by the name of Sapal wrote, "You always rock."
Yo yo is back in his original figure." said one fan. One fan funnily had a warning for Bollywood rapper Badshah when he said, "Old yo yo iss back badsha abb Tera kyyy hoga? (Old Yo Yo is back Badshah, what will happen with you now?)
Another fan wrote, "wow what a change bro in body." One fan even pointed out whether the superstar had been resisting honey during his fitness routine.
"yo yo Honey singh me se honey kha gayab ho gya. The honey from Yo Yo Honey Singh is gone." he said. Whatever one says, we're glad to find that the rapper is doing well health-wise and is back in full fitness.

MS Dhoni surprised many by standing down as CSK captain ahead of the IPL 2022 season, and former Pakistan pacer Shoaib Akhtar has also expressed his thoughts on the topic.
The former captain of the Indian cricket team, Mahendra Singh Dhoni decided to give up his captaincy of the Chennai Super Kings mere two days ahead of their season opener against Kolkata Knight Riders. The leadership went into the very capable and trusted hands of all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja.
    Official Statement #WhistlePodu #Yellove @msdhoni @imjadeja
    — Chennai Super Kings (@ChennaiIPL) March 24, 2022
Apart from the loyal Dhoni fans, most of the members of the cricketing fraternity welcomed this decision with open arms and congratulated Jadeja on the well-deserved promotion.
However, former Pakistani cricketer and fast-bowl legend Shoaib Akhtar seems to be having a tough time wrapping his head around the main reason behind Dhoni’s announcement to quit captaincy so close to the tournament and not making it official well in advance like it usually happens.
    View this post on Instagram
Was Dhoni’s age a factor? Did he want to simply take a backseat and focus on his wicketkeeping and batting as Virat Kohli did following the 2021 season? Was this a result of fallout within the CSK family? The official press release shared by the franchise does not state the reason clearly.
In a conversation with Sportskeeda, Akhtar expressed his surprise while not taking any credit away from Jadeja and his abilities as a cricketer and a leader. According to the Rawalpindi Express, while Jadeja will continue to do his best to take CSK to success, it was Dhoni’s unique mind that made him a captain like no other.

Eventually, the only logical explanation that the retired speedster could think of was that Dhoni was mentally drained as the skipper and wanted to play as ‘one of the teammates’ instead of getting involved with everything from the bureaucracy behind closed doors to dealing with umpires about over rates.
Turns out giving up the captaincy is already doing wonders for Dhoni as he managed to strike a half-century for the first time in three seasons and looked like having fun on the ground. Unfortunately for Jadeja, his tenure as the CSK leader started with a loss but with the kind of roster he has around him and Dhoni’s mastermind available at his service, there is no doubt that the reigning champions will bounce back sooner than imagined.

The first match of the Indian Premier League gave the views a little taste of how the rest of the season is going to look, especially after the 2022 mega auction that completely altered the squads and dressing rooms of the franchises.
For instance, there were a few surprising innings played by people who were being talked down to for their recent slump in performance.
    View this post on Instagram
First, it was the former captain of the Chennai Super Kings, MS Dhoni who went on the cricket ground and struck a much-awaited half-century in just 38 balls. Giving up captain of the CSK merely a couple of days ahead of the opening-day match, Dhoni was believed to be a lot more confident and focused on his own abilities as a player, without worrying about the rest of the 10-12 people.
And then came an even bigger surprise with the recently dropped Test cricket specialist Ajinkya Rahane, who was made to open the batting order with his teammate and partner Venkatesh Iyer. Rahane not only played an innings completely different from what he is expected to play like in red-ball cricket, but he also struck six 4’s and one 6 on his way to a 44-run batting outing off just 34 deliveries.

Excited and hyped by the way the 33-year old showed strength and resolve to perform at a high level despite the lack of public support and the mental stress of being dropped from the Indian team for not performing well enough, Rahane’s supporters went on Twitter to celebrate his return to the IPL and potentially to the form that he had lost.
Ajinkya Rahane departs after a brilliant 44 in 34 balls. A great return for him in the IPL, he has made the opportunity count. pic.twitter.com/mCuGRH33Xi

    — tem_dawood_dolan (@Aditya32303369) March 26, 2022Run rate dropped after Rahane's wicket, what an irony for rahane trollers
    — Straight Cut (@StraightCut_) March 26, 2022This is the Ajinkya Rahane of that Rajasthan Royals I knew and supported
    — Udit (@udit_buch) March 26, 2022Following the first match of IPL 2022, Rahane has played 152 matches within the tournament while having scored a total of 3985 runs with a strike rate of 121.42. He also has two IPL centuries in his name and has struck 28 half-centuries as well.
However, not a lot of people were convinced with all the hype around the Marathi cricketer’s season debut as they might still be scarred from the numerous and consecutive matches in international cricket where he has struggled and failed to add a lot of value to the team he’s playing for.
Thank you for your contribution to Ind Team. Ab hum tujhe IPL mein KKR se khilva Rahe hai. Isko enjoy karo aur Team Ind mein vapis aane ki BAAt mat karna. Dada to Jinks

Bollywood star Nawazuddin Siddiqui has come out in support of Vivek Agnihotri and his movie The Kashmir Files amid the movie being stirred in controversy. Starring actors like Anupam Kher, Pallavi Joshi, Mithun Chakraborty, Darshan Kumar among others in pivotal roles, The Kashmir Files has really come all guns blazing at the box office.

Such has been the success of the critically-acclaimed film, that it has broken several records at the box office and is all set to enter the Rs. 200 crore club.

The Kashmir Files revolves around the gut-wrenching narrative of the pain, suffering, struggle & trauma experienced by the Kashmiri Pandits, who had been ousted from the region back in the 90s.
Now, with the movie questioning democracy, religion, politics, and humanity at the time, a lot of the elements in the film have been labeled very controversial and one-sided.
Now, with Bollywood too reportedly staying silent over the film, popular Indian actor Nawazuddin Siddique has offered some support for the movie.

While the actor is yet to watch the film, he's revealed that he will soon follow in the footsteps of many Indians in watching the movie and also spoke on the oppositions faced by the movie.

“People are watching it, so I will also watch it.”
"I have no idea about that. But, every director has a style and point of view for making films. He made a film from his point of view, which is good. Others will also make films from their perspectives, in the future. And, that is great." he said while speaking at the ABP Network’s Ideas of India summit.
Nawaz, who will next be seen in Heropanti 2 opposite Tiger Shroff, also defended Vivek Agnihotri's perspective of making the film, at a time when the director has landed himself in trouble for a police complaint.

"When a filmmaker makes a film, he/she does so from his perspective, with a unique style of viewing things. It should be allowed for any filmmaker to add their own perspective even to films based on real incidents. I cannot speak any more on this as I have not watched the film." he said.

The Kashmir Files has created such a huge wave in Indian cinemas that even Akshay Kumar has accepted defeat, with his movie Bachchan Pandey being humbled by the Vivek Agnihotri film.
