    Gehraiyaan, directed by Shakun Batra, is only a day away from its release. Featuring Deepika Padukone, Ananya Panday, Siddhant Chaturvedi, and Dhairya Karwa in central roles, the film is set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video tomorrow (February 11). Ahead of its release, the makers hosted a special screening last night. The whole Gehraiyaan team and their celebrity friends including Sonakshi Sinha, Sanya Malhotra among others attended the screening.

    Before the film hit our OTT screens, many well-known celebrities are sharing their Gehraiyaan review with fans. Kalki Koechlin, Sanya Malhotra, and other celebrities are praising the movie on social media. 
    Taking to Instagram, the Kalank actress congratulated the whole team and shared, "Everything about Gehraiyaan was so deep!"
    Sonakshi also mentioned all the actors in her story and said, "All these guys kept me glued to the screen with their performances. All the best for the release".

    India wicket-keeper batter Wriddhiman Saha has opted out of the upcoming Ranji Trophy season and according to several media reports, his decision came after the team management told him that the team wants to move on from him and groom youngsters for the role.
    Saha had been playing second fiddle to MS Dhoni first and then, the emergence of Rishabh Pant kept him out of the playing XI in most of the Test matches.
    With age not on his side, Saha is reportedly not being considered for the upcoming series against Sri Lanka.

    "Wriddhiman has been categorically told by influential people in the team management that they want to move on and create some new back-ups alongside Rishabh Pant," a senior BCCI source privy to developments told news agency PTI.
    After being left of reckoning, Saha has received support from a former India wicket-keeper batter Syed Kirmani. The 1983 World Cup-winning wicket-keeper said even at the age of 37, Saha is still the best gloveman in the country. 
    "No doubt, Wriddhi is still the best wicketkeeper. But Rishabh Pant is getting chances for his aggressive batting. Even at 37, Wriddhi is still the best wicketkeeper. He should not get upset. Dinesh Karthik and Parthiv Patel were also replaced in the same fashion," Kirmani was quoted as saying by mid-day. 
    “You did a splendid job for India and never bowed down in these years, which is commendable. You are dropped because you did not belong to any particular group, you are a victim of politics. I will remember you as a very fine wicketkeeper,” Kirmani added.
    Pant's batting prowess has made him the number one choice as the wicket-keeper across formats but it would be unfair to rule out Saha at this stage.

    Saha has played 40 Tests and scored 1,353 with the help of three centuries at a lowly average of 29.41 and it was his low success with the bat that went against him.
    Pant, on the other hand, has played 12 less matches than Saha but already has four Test hundreds next to his name and close to 400 more runs than the Bengal wicket-keeper.
    The upcoming IPL 2022 mega auction becomes that much more important for him. If Saha gets a chance and performs well, the doors to the Indian team might open once again for the 37-year-old.

    For decades, the Delhi-born actor has worked hard in playing roles in some crazy blockbuster films, to make a name for himself across Indian homes and even outside the country.

    The actor is currently on course to make his much-awaited comeback to Bollywood with the upcoming film Pathan.

    Fans have been waiting to see more of Shah Rukh since his last film, with the actor almost on a sabbatical from the industry, however, with Pathan which will also star Salman Khan, the actor would mark a proper return to his kingdom, Bollywood.

    Now, while Shah Rukh has been a mainstay in Bollywood, people often wonder why he's never acted in a Hollywood film. 

    Well, it appears that the Raees actor has been offered roles before from the west, however, he has chosen to turn them down. 
    Why? Mainly because of his love for India, or how he wants Indians to be represented. 
    Speaking about it in detail in an interview a few years back, Shah Rukh revealed just why he has been saying no to Hollywood. 
    “I have never ever been offered any work in the West of any girth or value. I have always said that I want to make Indian films that will be watched internationally. People who are working in the West or Hollywood do really make sure that our name and Indianess is being spread there which is very good for future generations to come and is very commendable. I am not looking down upon them. I also feel I’m not good enough to do something in the west, language being one issue.”
    “If I am offered something which makes me proud as an actor when I participate in it which in turn will make India proud, I will do it. The point is an Indian actor goes to the West and does a film that does not take away from the Indianess of the emotion. I would love to do such projects. But so far in 25 years, I will be very honest and open to say that no one from Hollywood on the western world has offered me.” said Shah Rukh.
    If you don't know, Shah Rukh had once been reportedly a part of a Martin Scorcese film opposite Hollywood superstar Leonardo DiCaprio.

    Yep, that's right. 

    The movie, called Xtreme City was said to be a Hollywood gangster film, which was to be produced by Scorcese, Weisman, and directed by Paul Schrader.
    However, it turned out that the movie never could kick off and it got scrapped.
    Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Ali Fazal, and Dhanush have been some of the names from India, who have gone on to do Hollywood films.

    If you thought getting a match on ordinary dating apps like Bumble and Tinder was difficult, then you’re in for a rude awakening. There’s an exclusive dating app that boasts of an immense waiting line. 
    Aimed at celebrities and other people of relevance, the dating app Raya has grown tremendously in India. 
    This members-only app has an extremely low acceptance rate, said to be more stringent than that of Ivy League schools like Harvard and Oxford! They carefully preen applicants, rejecting them if they aren’t deemed important enough to be on the platform.

    Raya boasts of an impressive clientele internationally - with Hollywood celebs like Ben Affleck, Cara Delevigne, Channing Tatum, Demi Lovato, John Mayer, Lizzo, and Sharon Stone have been among the VIP users of the app at some point. 

    Closer to home, several Indian celebrities have become early adopters of the ultra-exclusive dating application. Reportedly, Janhvi Kapoor, Vaani Kapoor, Neha Sharma, Sonal Chauhan, Anushka Ranjan, and Lisa Mishra.

    Since the whole hype around Raya is built on the premise of exclusivity, the app makers decided that entries to the platform would be on the basis of invites only. 

    What makes the app different from others like Tinder and Bumble is that they claim to offer a level of exclusivity and privacy to these high-profile users in a way the latter cannot - they follow a rigid code of conduct, where taking screenshots or exposing names will have you permanently banned from the platform.

    But before you get ahead of yourself, do understand that the acceptance rate of applications on Raya is frighteningly low, only 8 per cent of the people who send in their entries for membership get selected. 

    Apparently, there was a person who was even willing to shell out $10,000 in order to be a part of this elite iOS exclusive dating club. 
    In an interview with the Times, Daniel Gendel, founder of Raya said that the app wasn’t intended just for movie stars and musicians, it also permitted athletes, journalists, and non-famous individuals to get in on the action as well. We’d take this with a pinch of salt, as inclusivity seems like the bang opposite of what the company looks at achieving through their dating platform.

    A Raya membership needs to be applied for via Instagram and would hurt your wallet as much as a month’s Netflix subscription would in the US. So, if you’re willing to test your luck and see if you get to match with your favourite Bollywood celebrity, well, all the best.
