    Ever since the trailer of Gangubai Kathiawadi dropped, people have been counting days to see Alia in that intense, never before seen avatar. She has already managed to mesmerize fans through her dialogues, but she just took it to a whole other level post the release of the song 'Dholida'.

    While it started out as another great Garba track just like the incomparable 'Nagada Sang Dhol' from Raam-Leela, Alia claimed the song for her own, from the 1.37 mark. She starts to make Garba rotations, and ends up doing 30 odd turns non-stop, in a single take without cuts. That is a feat which is extremely difficult, even for trained Garba dancers - especially when the rest of the background dancers have taken a pause and the entire focus is only on her.

    Virat Kohli might have left the role of captain of the current Indian team but newcomers in the side still admire him as the ultimate leader. 
    An example of this was visible on Wednesday during the second ODI between India and the West Indies in Ahmedabad. 
    Deepak Hooda, who made his debut in the ODI series opener, gave a tight hug to former India captain Kohli after taking his maiden international wicket.
    Hooda did not get a chance to bowl in the first ODI but with the second match of the three-match hanging in the balance, India skipper Rohit Sharma brought Hooda into the attack in the 31st over.

    “When I received the cap from Virat bhai, it was a very proud moment for me," Hooda further said.
    Apart from chipping in with the ball, Hooda helped India post a competitive total on the board with a fine knock of 29 off 25 balls towards the later stages of the innings.
    He smashed two boundaries and kept the scoreboard ticking while wickets kept falling from the other end. With the 44-run victory on Wednesday, India sealed the three-match ODI series with a game to spare.
    The third and final ODI will be played on Friday and Rohit has already confirmed a change in the next game -- Shikhar Dhawan coming back into the playing XI. 
    So, it will be interesting to see what all changes does the new India captain make as he looks to secure a clean sweep in his first series as the designated skipper of Team India.

    Ajinkya Rahane's future as a Test cricketer will depend on how he goes about his business in the upcoming Ranji Trophy season. 
    Rahane's position in the team has been under fire after the middle-order batter produced a string of low scores in the longest format of the game. 
    Rahane was the chief architect of India's remarkable turnaround in Australia when India came back from behind to win the four-match Test series 2-1 after being outclassed in the first Test match.

    Rahane is not someone you would expect to go out in public and give hard-hitting comments, but in a recent chat with sports journalist Boria Majumdar, the former India Test vice-captain opened up on the historic series win Down Under that came under his captaincy. 
    Rahane was tasked to turn India's fortunes around after India were bundled out for 36 in the first Test of the Australia series. The visitors not only had to deal with the horrors of a poor batting display, but they also had to play the remainder of the series without their regular captain, Virat Kohli, who had to go back to India to be with his wife for the birth of their first child.

    Rahane scored a match-winning hundred in the subsequent Test match in Melbourne and then handled his troops in a fine manner that saw India register a historic series win Down Under, despite most of their regular Test stars out due to injuries or other reasons. 
    Rahane said whenever he hears his critics talk about his career being finished, he just smiles at his doubters. The batter recalled his contribution in Test cricket while speaking on an episode of Backstage with Boria. 
    "I just smile when people say my career is finished, people who know the sport don't talk like that - everyone knows what happened in Australia/even before it, my contribution in red ball - people who love the sport will talk sensibly," said Rahane.
    "I know what I've done in Australia series and that's not my nature to go out there and take credits. Yes, there were few decisions that I had taken, but someone else took the credit. Important was for me to win the series," he further said in the interview, explaining it's the team's win that matters to him and not 'individual credits' that are being given.

    Rahane's remark, as expected, created a stir on social media and fans started to call out Ravi Shastri and co for stealing the credit.

    There is a good amount of hype around the release of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming film Gangubai Kathiawadi. The trailer of the film was released a few days back to positive response and now, the first song from the film has been dropped online.  
    Titled Dholida, the song is picturised on the high-on-energy Alia Bhatt, who has bowled over the people on social media with her killer moves. 
    Besides directing the film, Sanjay Leela Bhansali has also composed the music. The Hindi lyrics of the song are penned by Kumaar while the Gujarati ones are penned by Bhojak Ashok "Anjam". 
    Crooned by Janhvi Shrimankar & Shail Hada, the choreography of the song is done by Kruti Mahesh.

    There was a huge hype around Spider-Man: No Way Home before the release and it resulted in record-breaking box office numbers. Besides that, the film also received immense critical acclaim. 
    Soon, the Oscar buzz around the film took over the internet as Marvel Studios sent the film for consideration at the 94th Oscars hoping to repeat what Black Panther did when it created history by being the first superhero film to be nominated for Best Picture.

    Unfortunately, Spider-Man: No Way Home wasn’t as lucky as Black Panther. It did, eventually, get an Oscar nomination but in the Visual Effects category. 

    Many people on social media expressed disappointment over Spider-Man: No Way Home not making it to the final 10 Best Picture nominations. 
    Popular late-night chat show host Jimmy Kimmel was one of them. On the February 8 episode of his show Jimmy Kimmel Live!, he mocked The Academy for snubbing Spider-Man: No Way Home and nominating Don’t Look Up over it. 
    He blasted The Academy saying, “How did [Spider-Man: No Way Home] not get one of the 10 nominations for best picture? Forget the fact that the movie made $750 million [in the U.S.] and is still going. This was a great movie. It wasn’t in the top 10 best movies of the year? There were three Spider-Men in it. You’re telling me Don’t Look Up was better than Spider-Man? It most certainly was not.”

    Further comparing the two Rotten Tomatoes scores of the two films, he continued, “Even if you go by the critics reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, Don’t Look Up got a 46% and Spider-Man: No Way Home has 90%. For god’s sake, Jackass Forever has an 89%. Why do best picture nominees have to be serious? When did that become a prerequisite for getting nominated for an Academy Award? You wanna know what happened? Voters looked at the list and saw the names Leonardo DiCaprio and Meryl Streep and they checked the box and then they put their kids in the car and went to see the movie Spider-Man. And they loved it! But they didn’t vote for it.” 

    This wasn’t all, Kimmel also mocked The Power of the Dog that got 12 nominations at the 94th Oscars. He said, “The big Oscar nomination leader was The Power of the Dog. It got 12 nominations, one for each of the people who watched it.”

    Shakun Batra's Gehraiyaan is among the most-awaited films of 2022. Featuring Deepika Padukone, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Ananya Panday, and Dhairya Karwa in the lead roles, the movie is all set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on February 11. Ahead of its release, the makers recently hosted a special screening which was attended by various popular celebrities including Sanya Malhotra, Kapil Sharma-Ginni Chatrath, Kalki Koechlin among others. Dabangg actress Sonakshi Sinha too was among the attendees who were seen happily posing for the paps.

    For the screening, Sonakshi opted for a casual black outfit paired with an oversized denim jacket. Her curly hair too grabbed eyeballs.     Akshay Kumar, Jacqueline Fernandez and Kriti Sanon are all set to be seen in Bachchan Pandey. The film is directed by Farhad Samji and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. 
    Well, the film is a remake of the 2014 Tamil film Jigarthanda and is scheduled to be released theatrically on 18 March, 2022. The Telugu version of Jigarthanda stars Varun Tej and Pooja Hegde. It was made in 2019. Jigarthanda starring Rahul and P Ravi Shankar was remade in Kannada under the same title.
    The movie has already been remade in different languages and now, it’s being made for the Hindi audience. As per a report in KoiMoi, the lead actor Akshay has reportedly charged an insane fee for his character in the movie. If reports are to be believed, he has taken back home a crazy amount of Rs 99 crore.

    The shooting of the film began in Jaisalmer on January 6, 2021. The film stars Akshay Kumar in the role of a gangster, while Kriti Sanon plays a journalist. The film is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and also features Pankaj Tripathi, Arshad Warsi and Jacqueline Fernandez in important roles.
    A while ago, when Kriti spoke to Pinkvilla about Bachchan Pandey, she revealed that the script of the film is entertaining. Talking about working with Akshay, Kriti had said, "He’s constantly having fun, and likes people to also have fun. We would play games like Tambola and all, and even the people who were serving food there, the people from the hotel would also join in. He’s like a people’s person. He likes involving everyone who’s there, whether it’s a costume person, makeup person or anyone on sets. He brings people together and that’s amazing."
    Akshay Kumar is one of the highest paid actors in Bollywood. Akshay had a massive hit with Sooryavanshi in 2021 and the film earned Rs 196 crore at the domestic box office, as per Bollywood Hungama.

    When a movie buff says that he or she is scared to watch one particular movie, but will still watch it anyway, you'd automatically know that the film must be something very interesting.

    Well, that's exactly the case with Bollywood star Yami Gautam's upcoming thriller movie A Thursday.

    The official trailer of the film was released for the fans on (you're right) Thursday, and boy, it did not disappoint.

    To everyone's surprise, it looks like Yami is playing the role of the antagonist as she essays the role of Naina, a kindergarten school teacher, who ends up taking 16 young students of her school hostage.

    Honestly, the trailer doesn't mess around with things at all, as just at the beginning of it, Naina makes a call to the police station to inform them of her deeds and her intentions moving forward.

    The tone of suspense combined with the echoes of the children in the trailer would honestly send chills down your spine, as Yami undertakes a role that looks dark AF.
    In the trailer, Yami's character speaks to the police force, with the officials played by Neha Dhupia and Atul Kulkarni, about her intentions of killing the children one by one if her demands her not fulfilled.
    What can one play school teacher do in one day? Well, I'm about to shake the entire nation.

    Not only that, she even demands to speak to the Prime Minister (played by Dimple Kapadia), threatening to shoot the kids in the 'alphabetical order'.

    After watching the trailer, many fans were just left shocked and amazed at the same time as they clearly did not expect such an intense role for Yami, who was last seen in Bhoot Police.
