Indian professional wrestler Dalip Singh Rana, popularly known as the ‘The Great Khali’ surprised his fans today by joining the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ahead of the upcoming Punjab Legislative Assembly election.

"With The Great Khali joining us, it will be a source of inspiration to youth as well as other people of the country," Union Minister and senior BJP leader Jitendra Singh said during his induction. The 49-year-old WWE champion was also inducted in the prestigious WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2021 in the United States. Khali belongs to a small town named Dhiraina in Sirmaur district of Himachal Pradesh.
