When a movie buff says that he or she is scared to watch one particular movie, but will still watch it anyway, you'd automatically know that the film must be something very interesting.

Well, that's exactly the case with Bollywood star Yami Gautam's upcoming thriller movie A Thursday.

The official trailer of the film was released for the fans on (you're right) Thursday, and boy, it did not disappoint.

To everyone's surprise, it looks like Yami is playing the role of the antagonist as she essays the role of Naina, a kindergarten school teacher, who ends up taking 16 young students of her school hostage.

Honestly, the trailer doesn't mess around with things at all, as just at the beginning of it, Naina makes a call to the police station to inform them of her deeds and her intentions moving forward.

The tone of suspense combined with the echoes of the children in the trailer would honestly send chills down your spine, as Yami undertakes a role that looks dark AF.

In the trailer, Yami's character speaks to the police force, with the officials played by Neha Dhupia and Atul Kulkarni, about her intentions of killing the children one by one if her demands her not fulfilled.

Not only that, she even demands to speak to the Prime Minister (played by Dimple Kapadia), threatening to shoot the kids in the 'alphabetical order'.

After watching the trailer, many fans were just left shocked and amazed at the same time as they clearly did not expect such an intense role for Yami, who was last seen in Bhoot Police.

Soon enough, fans let their feelings be known on Twitter, with many praising the actress and mentioning their excitement for the film.

Wow! You heard it!

There is a lot of buzz around the film and fans can't hold their excitement.

Yami herself had spoken about the film in an earlier interview, with the actor saying,

“A Thursday is one of those rare scripts that come your way that you just cannot put down. Behzad has written one of the strongest characters for any female protagonist.”

“Naina, who I will be essaying is both fierce and endearing. RSVP and I have a great working relationship and cannot wait to be back on set with them,"

Directed by Behzad Khambata, A Thursday is set to release on February 17 on Disney+ Hotstar.
