The division between Tollywood and Bollywood is finally becoming a blurred line as superstars and directors from both the industries are participating in the cross-pollination of the talent pool. From blockbusters like Arjun Reddy being made in Bollywood, to stars like Ram Charan and Jr. NTR starring with Alia Bhatt in pan-India projects like RRR, the horizon for entertainment business has naturally expanded. Star names like Mahesh Babu, Allu Arjun need no introduction and actors usually are excited to take up a project with them.

However, back in the period between 2011-2014, when Tollywood directors were looking to cast Bollywood actresses in lead roles opposite Tollywood actors, the scope was actually limited. Mostly, fee structure and date issues were common problems faced by producers down South. According to a Filmi Beat report , actress Anushka Sharma was offered several big projects as well. She was offered a project with Jr. NTR, then she was also approached for a film with Allu Arjun. While the names of the projects are not known, it is known that she was also unavailable for a project with Prince of Tollywood, Mahesh Babu, and was offered Agadu.

“The filmmakers approached the actress, but things didn't work out as there was an issue with the price and dates," a source had told TOI. Director Harish Shankar wanted to cast her in his project with Allu Arjun. The actress was on the rise at that time and busy with her Bollywood commitments, and of course the fee was an issue. Things have changed now and thanks to movies like Pushpa and Baahubali, we will see actors from both the industries working together more often.

Shark Tank India has managed to grab the attention of India’s audiences in a way, unlike any other show being broadcasted currently. And as season 1 came to a close, one of the sharks decided to surprise us by putting themselves in the participant’s position.

With the last pitch of the finale week, the kindest shark, Peyush Bansal stepped forward to pitch his company, Lensskart to the other sharks on the panel - Aman Gupta, Anupam Mittal, Ashneer Grover, Ghazal Alagh, and Namita Thapar.

By now we all know that Peyush is the co-founder of Lenskart, a brand that has successfully managed to make eyewear accessible and affordable to the masses in our country. And in this particular episode of Shark Tank India, Peyush decided to offer the other sharks a piece of Lenskart’s pie - 1% equity for Rs. 1 crore investment.

Serial pitcher, Peyush Bansal obviously knows how to sway a room in order to get what he wants, so he started his pitch by tugging at the shark’s heartstrings, “A lot of people in this world are lucky enough to visualise their dream, but there are so many of who can’t even see (Sapne toh bahot log dekhte hain par duniya mein bahot log aise hain jo dekh hi nahi sakte)”

At several points in Shark Tank India, Peyush talks about the importance of running a purpose-driven business rather than just chasing the next bag of cash. And that’s the core belief that Lenskart runs on as well, after all, 1 in 3 Indians suffer from poor vision. This is why Bansal built the brand, in order to make vision accessible to the masses.

The episode even alludes to the similarity in names between Lenskart and another Indian startup. However, Peyush goes on to clarify that he registered his brand’s domain way back in 2010, way before Flipkart. He went on to explain how he also owns several other ‘kart’ based domain names as well - Toyskart, Watchkart, Bagskart, and Jewelskart.
Lenskart’s co-founder went on to explain how a chance encounter with Bill Gates inspired him to make the jump to starting his own business, as Peyush didn’t want to be just another one of the roughly fifty thousand employees working for Microsoft. In his own words, “I want to do something revolutionary (Kuch revolutionary karna hai)”.
Peyush’s goal is simple, he wants to create the same brand value among the masses that Maruti did at one point in time, by becoming the Maruti of eyewear. He said, "Just like Maruti made cars accessible to each and every Indian, we want them to get the satisfaction of proper vision through Lenskart (Jaise Maruti ne gaadiyon ka such har ek Hindustani ko diya hai, hum chahte hai Lenskart ke through wo vision ka sukh har Hindustani ko de)".
While the pitch was seemingly in jest, it was inspiring nonetheless and goes to show the drive that Peyush possesses for his work.

Indian spinner Yuzvendra Chahal is one of the few cricketers who prefers to show his funnier side on social media. He is known for his hilarious banters with teammates in the comments section on Instagram and for making funny videos with his friends and families too.
However, every now and then, it is Chahal who finds himself becoming the butt of the joke, often because of something that he does unintentionally and unknowingly. The latest addition to Chahal’s bloopers, the 31-year old shared a picture with his teammate Kuldeep Yadav on Twitter while talking about how the two spinners have finally reunited to play in the same India squad after ages during the ODI series against the touring West Indies.

Unfortunately, the Jind-born managed to pick practically the worst picture on the internet to be shared from his social media handle, specifically because of the hand gestures that the two cricketers are captured to be making based on a really unfortunate camera angle.
It did not take long for the fans of the Men in Blue to go to that dirty corner of their minds and let their imagination loose on the poor and unaware cricketer who simply wanted to talk about getting to play another series with one of his greatest friends and bowling partners.

    — ᏞᏌᏟᏆFᎬᎡ (@FANwalaagaurav) February 5, 2022This isn’t the first time Chahal has made headlines for doing “mad things” on Twitter. Back in June 2012, when people were still trying to learn how Twitter works and the world was a simpler place to live in, the Indian cricketer refused to hold back on his eagerness to “make friends online”.
Chahal would simply go to different women’s Twitter handles asking them for their numbers by publicly tweeting to them. He would even publicly ask them to check their DMs while expressing his wish to hear back from them soon.

Chahal has also used the good old “it wasn’t me, it was my friend” ice-breaker once while hoping to talk to a lady on Instagram who ended up sharing their conversation on Twitter for the whole world to see.

Afghanistan cricketer Mohammad Shahzad was caught smoking in the middle of the Shere Bangla National Stadium on Friday while being a part of the 2022 Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). Having breached the BCB code of conduct, specifically Article 2.20 which talks about the "conduct that is contrary to the spirit of the game", he was also slapped with one demerit point for his actions.
Ahead of their match against the Comilla Victorians, Shahzad, among a group of players, was spending some pre-game time on the field before the match was called off due to rain. However, it was the cricketer’s fearless smoking inside the cricket ground that became the talking point for the night.

Based on the press release sent out by the Bangladesh Cricket Board, Shahzad confessed to smoking in the group and did not protest the punishment that was put on his head by match referee Neeyamur Rashid. However, it was also confirmed that no formal hearing will be held in order to discuss this matter any further.
According to multiple media reports, the Minister Group Dhaka coach Mizanur Rahman had warned Shahzad about smoking in the outfield but the Afghan cricketer refused to comply and kept up with it. Eventually, it was Tamim Iqbal who asked him to head to the dressing room once multiple people had captured pictures of him smoking in the open with their smartphones.

    — KD (@KDRajputBoy) February 5, 2022 However, by the time the 34-year old was convinced to head inside, it was too late. His pictures were already spreading across social media like wildfire with more people criticising the league for the last of potent authority and fewer people calling out Shahzad’s lack of demeanour.
Questions on his fitness levels and the respect towards the game was also raised with people asking why franchises bother investing so much money in him when he continues to make headlines for all the notorious reasons.

One of the most common faces to be a part of the Dhaka squad, Shahzad has scored 53 and 42 runs for the team other than getting out for single-digit scores four times in the tournament thus far. Scoring seven points in seven games, his team is currently sitting at the number three spot on the points table.
