Nargis Fakhri, who made her acting debut in 2011 with Imtiaz Ali's Rockstar opposite Ranbir Kapoor, has indeed come a long way in Bollywood. While she was nominated for Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut, her performance in the film got negative feedback. A major section of the audience was unhappy with her acting and even commented on her 'plumped' lips. However, Nargis, who is known for being sassy in real life, shut down the trollers with a bold reply.
    View this post on Instagram
In 2012, during an interview, the actress opened up about the reactions she got for Rockstar and people talking about her lips. She said, "Well, I don’t know what to say to that. Seriously. If I had really big bo*bs, people would talk about my bo*bs. I guess they haven’t seen my b*tt. It’s really big too. But it was well hidden in those Patiala salwars that I wore in Rockstar. If they saw my b*m, which is bigger than my lips, they’d only be talking about that. Because I was covered throughout the film, they couldn’t pick on anything else. So I don’t really care about all this".

According to a Koimoi report, at that time, Nargis also revealed that she isn't very confident about her nose and added, "Thank God they didn’t say anything about my nose! I actually have a complex about my nose".

For the uninitiated, Rockstar revolves around Janardhan (played by Ranbir) who seeks inspiration for the musician inside him. While heartbreak helps him become a rockstar, it also leads him to self-destruction. Nargis played the role of Janardhan aka Jordan's love interest Heer. While Ranbir received rave reviews for his strong performance in the film, moviegoers weren't happy with Nargis' acting. Rockstar did well at the box office and its music album was loved by everyone.

After the success of Rockstar, Nargis went on to be a part of hit films like Madras Cafe, Main Tera Hero, Housefull 3 among others.

A few days ago, it was reported that Ajay Devgn visited the famous Sabarimala Temple.
The pictures of the actor dressed in black attire had surfaced online and it was reported that he followed all the rituals required before visiting the temple.
“For 11 days, he slept on a chatai on the floor, wore black, did the Ayyappa Pooja twice a day, ate only vegetarian food without any garlic/onion, walked barefoot wherever he went, didn’t use any perfume and did not have any alcohol”, a source told TOI.
Now, we stumbled upon a video from the temple where the actor is seen being carried by people on their shoulders for darshan. The security around him is also quite heavy.
    © TOI
The video was uploaded by a local Kerala news channel and since then, people have been trolling the actor for not being able to walk his way to the temple.

While a few trolled him by comparing his daredevil-like onscreen persona and then being unable to literally walk in real life, there were some who compared him to his Company and Masti co-star Vivek Oberoi who always walks whenever he visits the temple.
Take a look at the video below:

Most of the comments were in Malayalam and have been roughly translated. One user wrote, “Action Hero can’t walk right.” Another commented, “If it is so difficult, Ayyappan should have come there and met, mister.”

A user commented saying, “In the cinema, he will run and hit 200 people, but can’t take a step while walking. It’s knee arthritis.”
One comment read, “Hindi actor Vivek Oberoi walked on that Holy mountain of God for 18 years.” For the unversed, Vivek Oberoi frequently visits the Sabarimala temple and has been doing so for over 18 years.
Take a look at some of the comments below:

On the work front, soon after returning from his Sabarimala Temple visit, Ajay Devgn started shooting for the Hindi remake of Tamil film Kaithi reportedly titled Bholaa.

What makes a beard grow out thick?
We wish the answer could be simple; however, there’s not one but multiple factors at play here.
Your beard growth depends upon many things including your genes, diet, lifestyle, DHT as well as testosterone levels.
While some of these factors, like your genes, cannot be controlled, some others like your diet and lifestyle can be.
Beard growth, like other functions of our bodies, can be improved with the right nutrients.
This is where beard oil steps in.
A beard oil for growth helps in giving your beard all the right vitamins. In fact, there’s so much more to this essential product.
What Is Beard Oil? Beard oil is a blend of essential oils that help in conditioning, hydrating and nourishing your beard. From taming the frizz to making your beard look fuller and feel softer, beard oil is an essential cosmetic product for men with a beard.
    Credit: iStock
Benefits Of Beard Oil Beard oil helps in moisturising your beard as well as the skin underneath it. It’s the one product that helps in solving all your beard troubles. Here are some of its major benefits for bearded men:
    Credit: MensXP
Boosts Growth Its vitamin rich formulation helps in thickening, strengthening and reducing patchy beard growth. This helps in making your beard fuller.
Moisturises & Nourishes Beard oil helps in providing long lasting hydration to your beard and reduces dryness, itchiness or beard dandruff.
Conditions The Beard If you’re tired of your beard being frizzy, a beard oil will help in taming your beard. It also helps in softening and improving the overall texture.
Helps In Maintaining Hygiene Most natural essential oils have antibacterial and antifungal properties which help in keeping your beard clean and healthy.
How Beard Oils Work For Growth The benefits of beard oil change from one product to another.
Some beard oils are formulated for treating beard dandruff, some are for softening the beard and some others are for improving beard growth.
For instance, carrier oils like olive oil, castor oil and avocado oil are popularly used for their beard growth benefits.

Not every beard oil in the market will help you get a thicker beard. This is exactly why you need to know how to make the best choice for your beard.

How To Choose The Best Beard Oil With so many different options available in the market, it can get confusing to make the right choice. Follow these tips and make the best pick for your beard:
Look At The Ingredients It is not a beard oil in itself but the essential oils used in it that help with beard growth.
Check the label to see which essential oils are used in the product. Each of these oils have a unique mix of vitamins and minerals that help in boosting beard growth.
Vitamin C, A, B3 (Niacin), B12 and B7 (Biotin) help in strengthening your facial hair follicles and keep your beard strong and healthy.
The Best Essential Oils For Beard Oil Essential oils like almond oil, olive oil, avocado oil, jojoba oil, castor oil and coconut oil are popularly used in beard oils. These oils are extremely rich in vitamins and minerals that help in keeping your hair follicles healthy.

Other essential oils like argan oil, grapeseed oil, hemp oil, lavender oil and rosemary oil are great for reducing itchiness and dryness of the beard. They help in conditioning, softening and keeping your beard free from bacteria and germs.

Redensyl & Minoxidil - The Two Miraculous Ingredients For Beard Growth One of the newest breakthroughs in the cosmetic industry, Redensyl is an active ingredient that’s known to ‘regrow’ hair. Derived from plant extracts, redensyl works by targeting the stem cells of hair follicles. This in turn encourages faster division of cells and thus, a better hair growth.

Backed by scientific research and positive reviews, redensyl has quickly become a favourite of many. In fact, this miraculous ingredient is often offered as an alternative to hair transplant.

Another ingredient with similar effects on hair follicles is Minoxidil. This active ingredient is known to promote hair regrowth by increasing blood flow around the hair follicles. By stimulating hair follicles, it helps in extending the growth period of each follicle.

How To Use Beard Oil Depending on the length and the type of your beard, you can use beard oil multiple times throughout the day.
When Is The Right Time To Apply It The best time to apply beard oil is right after washing your beard or after taking a shower. Use your oil on your beard as you would use a moisturiser on your skin. If your beard gets dry throughout the day then you can reapply the oil as and when needed.
How To Apply Beard Oil Credit: MensXP
Depending on the length of your beard, take 2-4 drops of the beard oil onto your palm. Rub your palms together and distribute the product evenly throughout your beard. Be gentle with the application and make sure that the oil has reached the roots of your beard, i.e. the skin underneath.

How To Make Your Own Beard Growth Oil To make your own beard oil, all that you need to do is blend carrier oils with some essential oils. Try out this quick DIY beard oil recipe.
    Credit: iStock
Ingredients1 ounce jojoba oil, ½ ounce avocado oil, ¼ ounce almond oil and 7 drops of tea tree essential oil.
InstructionsMix all of these ingredients together and store in an oil dropper bottle.
Making DIY beard oil is definitely easy and cost effective but you cannot get all the effective ingredients easily, for instance redensyl and minoxidil.

Beard Balm vs. Beard Oil - Which Is Better?  Credit: iStock
It’s easy to get confused with the many different types of beard products out there. One such common confusion is between beard oil and beard balm. Which one is better? Can they be used together? How to tell which one is better suited for your beard?
Let’s start by discussing the difference between the two.
Beard oil is a liquid formulation that gets absorbed quickly and is essential for the hygiene and health of your beard. It’s a daily beard care product that helps in nourishing and moisturising the beard.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__2184__
Beard balm, on the other hand, is a beard styling product that adds shine and structure to the beard. It has a thicker formulation that doesn’t get absorbed instantly. Some common ingredients used in beard balm are shea butter and beeswax. It may or may not have essential oils in it.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__3008__
Which one is better? Well, that really depends on your beard type and needs. Beard balm is better for setting your beard in place for long hours, without drying it out. Beard oil is better for providing nourishment, moisturising and boosting beard growth.
The Bottomline Managing and styling your beard on an everyday basis is quite a struggle without beard oil. More so, it has not one but multiple benefits for your beard.
From keeping it clean to strengthening and thickening the beard, it’s a must-have in every bearded guy’s daily routine.

Before marrying film distributor and producer Anil Thadani, a lot was written about Raveena Tandon and Akshay Kumar’s relationship.
The actress herself revealed about her engagement with Akshay and how she had caught him 'red-handed' with Rekha and Sushmita Sen.
However, this wasn’t the only time Raveena's love life made headlines.
In 2002, there were strong rumours that she was in a relationship with Indian cricketer Rahul Dravid, who was an eligible bachelor back then. In fact, there were also rumours that she might marry him.

When Raveena was asked about her link-up rumour with Rahul Dravid, she not only denied dating the cricketer but also went on to say that she doesn’t even know him personally.

She told Filmfare, “For God's sake, he is not even an acquaintance. I would have understood had he been a friend or something. Poor fellow, I don't have anything against him, but it's very upsetting. At the moment I am focusing on my work only.”
When asked if she has ever met Dravid, Raveena responded in affirmative but added she has male friends in Bollywood and he isn’t one, “I have met him at functions and there was, as usual, a polite exchange of pleasantries. And I go out with friends quite often. He must have been a part of it. I haven't met him, alone, simply because I don't know him so well. I have male friends like Govinda, Suniel Shetty, and Salman Khan. He doesn't figure anywhere.”

When the actress was further asked about the reason behind the rumours of her link-up with Rahul Dravid of all people, she replied, “I don't know how the whole thing started. Maybe because I am not seeing anybody and he is also an eligible bachelor. People link up when you don't have any remote idea. Recently, I was linked up with Sandeep Chowta (Music Director), for heaven's sake, I don't even know him. The poor fellow called up the next day to apologise. It's ridiculous.”

Finally, on being asked if meeting Rahul now will be awkward for her, she replied, “To an extent, yes, it spoils relationships, however polite it is. I will try to be normal if at all I meet him, but I don't think I will bump into him. Don't you think it's high time to take control of situations? Yeah, I will do that, but it will take another six to eight months for me to properly get into that frame of mind. To stop all this I need to see somebody. but work is my focus now.”

Two years later in 2004, Raveena married Anil Thadani. On the other hand, Rahul Dravid got married to Vijeta Pendharkar, a surgeon from Nagpur in 2003.

Dravid is currently the head coach of the Indian Cricket Team.

Former India captain Virat Kohli, yes you read that right, the former skipper has been leading the headlines ever since he came up with a bombshell of an announcement on Saturday, saying that he has stepped down as the Test captain.
Much like most of his career, Kohli, in his final match as the captain of the team, attracted eyeballs with his on-field antics.
While ICC's match officials had a word with the Indian team management, there was no official code of conduct breach charge levelled against India #SAvIND
    — ESPNcricinfo (@ESPNcricinfo) January 14, 2022
Upset with a DRS call going against his side, Kohli went up to the stump mic and vented his frustration. Kohli’s approach was heavily criticized by cricket experts and a few days later, after the conclusion of that Test, former India legendary batter Sunil Gavaskar reacted to the whole incident.
Gavaskar said that going up to the stump mic, knowing that whatever you say will be picked up, doesn't look good and it is something that should have been avoided by the Indian team.
The legendary batter also mentioned that had India been at the receiving end of such behaviour, fans would not have accepted it.
    View this post on Instagram
"When you are playing for your country… when you are trying your best to win, every single moment that you are out there, you can lose your composure and cool. If you say something while you are walking, it’s a different matter, but when you go towards a stump mic – you know it is going to pick up stuff – then it doesn’t look good so that was something that was avoidable,” Gavaskar said on Sports Today.
“Tempers are lost on a sporting arena. You see any sports – whether it is football, cricket or any other sport – tempers are lost. I don’t think they were trying to insinuate something But if you look at it, how would we Indians feel if an overseas team captain did this went to the stump mic and say something to the television channel covering the series. We wouldn’t accept it,” added Gavaskar.
Interestingly, fans also resonated with Gavaskar’s thoughts and said that Kohli should have received a ban from the ICC for crossing the line while expressing his emotions on the field.
Kohli, rahul and Ash needs to be banned for at least a test match. Kohli for 2 actually.

    — ajay misra (@virjuna) January 18, 2022After Kohli relinquished the Test captaincy, Gavaskar came up with a suggestion that rather than throwing the skipper’s hat to Rohit Sharma, the team management should give it to Rishabh Pant as he is young and is an all-format player.

Kabir Khan’s latest directorial 83 based on the Indian cricket team’s 1983 world cup win received rave reviews upon its theatrical release on December 24 but turned out to be a major disaster at the box office.
The film has joined the Rs 100 Crore Club but it wasn’t enough considering the massive budget of the film. 83 is now reported to be the biggest flop in terms of losses beating Bombay Velvet.
In a recent interview, Kabir Khan has defended the poor box office collection of his film and has even called the reporting of the film’s collection by trade analysts “unprofessional”.

In April of this year, Ayushmann will mark 10 successful years in Bollywood, having made his emphatic debut in Shoojit Sircar's Vicky Donor.

If one looks at the number of films and their overall success rates, it's not an understatement when one says that Ayushmann truly took Bollywood by storm.

On the one-year anniversary of the Indian cricket team winning their first-ever Test match at the Gabba aka the Brisbane cricket ground, here are four things that have changed for the Men in Blue ever since:

    1. Rishabh Pant Became A Bonafide Test Cricket Star
While Pant was known for his ballistic batting, his reputation as a cricketer who could have enough patience to play a great inning in the longest format of the game was yet to be established. Before the match, he was regularly criticised for not being a good-enough wicket-keeper, body-shamed and many even perceived him to be a waste of a good batting spot when they already had KL Rahul to be the glovesman.
However, the incredible 89-run knock that he played to drive home the victory at the Gabba was good enough to make his spot in the team permanent and launch Rishabh Pant into a whole new level of stardom.
    2. Ajinkya Rahane’s Fall From Grace
With Virat Kohli leaving the team and travelling back to India for the birth of his daughter Vamika, Rahane was to lead the team against the mighty Australians on their home turf. Already known to be a passive leader, not a lot of people had huge expectations out of him, and the thought of winning the series felt like a far-fetched idea, especially after the beating India took in Adelaide when the whole Indian batting order was dismissed for 36 runs in the first Test of the series
Rahane’s heroic ton in the second Test boosted the confidence of the whole squad and he remains the only Indian skipper to win a red-ball match at the Gabba. However, after exactly one year since the day, Rahane’s poor form has made him public enemy number one with fans and critics wishing his ouster from the squad more than ever.
    3. Cheteshwar Pujara - Who?
Yet another hero of the India-Australia Test series from the 2020-21 Border Gavaskar cup, Pujara made a name for himself for having the greatest resolve and will-power among the Indian cricketers when he sustained multiple body-blows during the Syndey Test and even struck a half-century in the first inning of the Gabba Test to give his side a promising start.
One year later, the idea of Pujara holding a top-order batting spot manages to irk many Indian cricket fans who feel that there are a lot of better options who can replace him in the team, play as patiently as he does, manage to protect their wicket and actually contribute towards India’s scoreboard - something that the Rajkot-born has struggled to do for the past year.
    4. Mohammed Siraj Makes Father’s Dream Come True
The narrative around Mohammed Siraj during this series was something of a godsend. When India were travelling to Australia for the series, Siraj was picked as a backup bowler and there was little to no hope of him even playing in any of the matches. Once the team was in Australia, he got a dreadful call to tell him that he had just lost his father. Even though the BCCI offered to send him back, the pacer refused and stuck with the team because that’s what he father would have wanted, he believed.
As Mohammed Shami went down with an injury, Siraj was given a shot during the Boxing Day Test in 2020 and the first wicket that he picked belonged to Marnus Labuschagne. The Gabba Test tied a nice bow around his incredible rise to success as Siraj picked his first-ever five-wicket haul and led the Indian bowling attack like a pro.
