    It is a known piece of flying rumour that superstars Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Dutt were always linked up in the media. Their on-screen chemistry was reportedly translating into a romance off-screen as well. While the two never expressed anything, a lot of Bollywood insiders claimed that the actors were more than just friends.

    In 1993, after a lot was being written about their alleged affair, Sanjay Dutt had to actually apologise to Madhuri after the news of an affair was making headlines constantly. In an interview, he mentioned what happened.

    “This story broke out around the time of Saajan. In fact, when the story broke out in the press, she was shooting for Khel in Kenya. So, when we had a schedule of Saajan after that, I went up and said sorry to her. Because she was under public scrutiny for no fault of her own. She took it well.” Addressing the rumours around them getting married, he had said, “There has to be something in between us for me to marry her.”
    However, according to a report in DNA, his first wife knew that the two were dating and she even mentioned how being dumped would shatter him. “At every point in his life, he needs someone he can lean on emotionally. Like he was dependent on Madhuri. Now that she has ditched him, he is going to be a shattered man."

    Later in an interview, when reports of Madhuri ignoring him started doing the rounds, the actor brushed it off. “I didn't get affected by her statement. I have been her colleague and I have done a lot of films with her. See, I need to establish a proper rapport with all my co-stars, it may be Madhuri or Sridevi. For instance, during the first few days of Gumraah I wasn't comfortable, because you know how Sridevi is. She is aloof and I had to get talking to her. So what Madhuri said didn't bother me that much, in fact it didn't bother me at all,” he said. The actors have obviously moved on and the two shared screen space in Kalank in 2019.

    We may pay a nominal amount for a ticket at the theatre, or now with Covid in full swing, an annual price for a subscription at the OTT platforms, but moviemakers, on the other hand, besides just putting their heart and soul into making a movie, also put in a lot of money.

    We are talking about millions that are invested into making a movie, from paying the crew, getting a movie set up and running to bearing the cost for literally everything along the way. 

    And while most filmmakers are able to manage all that on top of the fees paid to the actors, Director Madhur Bhandarkar particularly found funding an actress’s wardrobe for a role - more expensive than an entire budget set apart for a film!
    We are talking about the time Madhur Bhandarkar told a leading daily about how Kareena Kapoor’s clothes in the film Heroine cost more than the budget he set aside for his first movie - Chandni Bar.

    While talking about his debut film, Madhur had shared, "When I approached producers for it, they wanted me to put some item numbers in the film, which I didn’t want to. My first film did not work, so there was a lot of pressure on me, but I was hell-bent on making the film the way I wanted to. I made the movie on a very small budget. So much so, that I once jokingly told Kareena that I had made Chandni Bar on a budget that was smaller than what I spent on her clothes in Heroine (laughs).”

    Back in 2012, the filmmaker had even tweeted about the same around the release of Heroine, where he wrote, “I made Chandni Bar in 2001 with 1.5 crores which today, a decade later, is #Heroine’s costume budget for Kareena! How times have changed!”

    And thinking back to the looks that Kareena donned in this intense drama film, there were quite a few extravagant ones indeed! However, Heroine fizzled out at the Box Office upon release.

    Like the famous saying goes that ‘one’s loss is another person’s gain’, the world of cinema also works on the rule of one actor giving up on a project and another one converting it into a big hit.

    Prabhas needs no introduction and the Baahubali star is known for his dedication towards his craft as well. Since he gave close to 6 years of his life to this magnum opus, it was natural that a lot of opportunities were lost on his way. However, even before he signed up for it, he was known to pick his movies after a lot of thought. Here are a few superhit movies which were reportedly rejected by the Saaho actor but were eventually done by other stars:
    1. AryaThe big hit courtesy the brilliance of Allu Arjun was not originally scripted with the Pushpa actor in mind. Director Sukumar had originally approached Prabhas for this role of a one-sided lover.

    2. SimhadriOne would wonder what can possibly go wrong for any actor to reject a film with SS Rajamouli, but nonetheless it wasn’t anything personal as Prabhas later signed up Baahubali. This movie which elevated Jr. NTR’s crazy fan following was scripted and offered to Prabhas earlier.

    3. BrindavnamOne of the most famous and the biggest family entertainer out there, this movie was rejected by Prabhas as he was busy shooting for Mr Perfect. Eventually the movie went on to Jr. NTR, who did a fantastic job with it.

    4. OkkaduOne of the biggest hits of Mahesh Babu’s career, this hit film was initially offered to Prabhas by director Guna Shekhar. The super hit was remade in Hindi as Tevar with Arjun Kapoor.

    Besides these four major hits, Prabhas had also turned down Naayak, which was eventually taken by superstar Ram Charan. Apparently Prabhas was occupied with the shooting of Mirchi back then.

    Nevertheless, we aren’t complaining one bit because these super hit movies were eventually done by other superstars and the fans were more than happy.

    Oscar-winning Hollywood actress Anne Hathaway has played many roles throughout her illustriously long career.

    She's played a princess in The Princess Diaries film series, Catwoman in Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises, Interstellar, along with a whole lot of other characters in movies.

    For us, she doesn't seem like she ever grows old as she looks exactly the same if not finer with each passing day. Maybe her next movie should be about vampires!

    Now, having worked for so long, she's certainly had all sorts of experiences, with some memorable ones and some she would rather forget.
    Talking about one of those, the actress once revealed that she apparently ended up getting naked for a movie where she could have rather been dressed.
    Yep!
    Anne had been filming the 2010 film Love & Other Drugs alongside Hollywood star Jake Gyllenhaal.

    The movie, which was based on Jamie Reidy’s 2005 non-fiction book Hard Sell: The Evolution of a Viagra Salesman, was the story of a medicine peddler in the 90s who ends up starting a relationship with a young woman suffering from Parkinson’s Disease.

    Now, for whoever has seen the film, it had a lot of explicit *** scenes between Anne and Jake in the film.
    Now, there were scenes where she was supposed to show a bit of flesh and there there was a time she ended up getting naked in front of the crew for no reason.
    Talking about one of those, Anne spoke about how she got “unnecessarily naked” in front of many people as she took rehearsals to be the actual scene.
    “I have to remove my trench coat and be nude underneath, and I thought we were filming, but it turned out we were just rehearsing and I got unnecessarily naked in front of a lot of people!” she said while speaking to HollywoodLife
    Oh, boy! That would have truly been very embarrassing.
    While Anne looked confident on set when she wasn't wearing clothes, she revealed how she had a lot of butterflies inside her stomach.
    "I didn't let anyone know that I was nervous. It was just an internal thing," she said.
    Anne will next be seen in her upcoming film Eileen.

    Alia Bhatt, who started off her career with a Dharma movie - Student Of The Year and soon went on to become the butt of a national joke after she guessed the name of India’s President wrong, was perhaps the one actress who learnt how to take everything in her stride, very early on.
    Now, famously known for her roles in films like Raazi, Highway and Gully Boy, Alia proved to be an ace actress and has done enough work in the industry to support that claim. In fact, one might say that she has proven to be good at almost everything. 
    ‘Almost’ being the operative word here, because we might just have found out an alternate career for Alia that she should never take! 
    It’s called - rapping. 

    Recently surfaced in a thread on Reddit, Alia Bhatt’s video from IIFA awards in 2017 left us in quite a state of shock after we heard the young actress make an attempt at rapping during her performance and hilariously failed. 
    Dressed in a casual pink crop top, a pair of denims and too much confidence for her own good, Alia is performing to her own hit numbers on the stage when she starts singing along to the songs ‘Kar Gayi Chull’ and ‘Saturday Saturday’.

    Now, our feelings after having seen the video (for the sake of my work, no less) was pretty much the same as the awkward expressions given by singer Armaan Malik and Alia’s co-actor Varun Dhawan, when the camera moved towards them. They were just as stunned and embarrassed as we were, to say the least.

    Quite a few people called it a cringe-fest as they wrote, “When you take your bathroom singing skills too seriously,” after being highly unimpressed by her off-key and high pitched singing. Guess it should be okay to stick to what you know best and for Alia Bhatt, that is definitely not singing!

    If you are a Virat Kohli fan, things have not gone the way you wanted them to in the recent past and the last few months have been particularly difficult.  
    It all started with Kohli’s decision to step down as the captain in the Twenty20 format just before the T20 World Cup. 
    Kohli announced his decision weeks before the marquee tournament. 
    In his statement, Kohli expressed his desire to lead the side in the One-Day International and Test format. However, Kohli’s last hurrah as the T20I captain ended in heartbreak as India lost to Pakistan and New Zealand, eventually, failing to qualify for the knockout stages of the tournament.

    The BCCI thought otherwise and just before the team boarded the flight to South Africa, the Indian board sacked Kohli as the ODI skipper and appointed Rohit Sharma as the skipper in the 50-over format. 
    Kohli had a fallout with the board president Sourav Ganguly due to a lack of communication between two stalwarts of Indian cricket.
    The 33-year-old was spot on with his tactics as he led India to a historic win in the first Test of the three-match series against South Africa.

    Kohli had to sit out the next Test due to back spasms and India lost the match to give away the series lead. He returned to lead the side in the series decider but failed to get the team over the line as the hosts clinched the series by winning the final Test by seven wickets. 
    A day later, Kohli shocked the cricket fraternity by announcing that he has quit as the Test captain of the Indian team.

    On Wednesday, Kohli walked onto the field for the first time since 2012 neither as captain nor vice-captain of the ODI team.
    Fans found it rather hard to process and were surprised with the quietness of Kohli on the field.
