Director SS Rajamouli's upcoming flick RRR has been the talk of the town as the movie is made on a massive budget. At an earlier press conference, producer DVV Danayya had disclosed that the budget ranges from Rs 350 to Rs 400 crore. It is indeed an insane amount for RRR, which is set in the pre-Independence era in the 1920s. RRR will mark SS Rajamouli’s first film after the huge success of the Baahubali series. The film will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam on January 7, 2022.

Amid the Omicron scare, many filmmakers are deciding to push their theatrical release but Rajamouli is sticking to his release plan. RRR is a fictional story of two Telugu freedom fighters, Alluri Seetharama Raju and Komaram Bheem, played by Ram Charan and Jr NTR, respectively. The movie also features Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn in pivotal roles.
    Here’s the trailer:

“This will be a fictional story on the lives of Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem. There are gaps in the lives of these legendary freedom fighters that we don’t know about. We don’t know what happened in their lives in these years. It is through this fictional story we’d like to show what could have happened in their lives and what would have happened if they met and bonded,” Rajamouli had said at the film’s launch in 2019.
As the director is promoting the movie and giving interviews, SS Rajamouli revealed that per day cost of the shoot was around Rs 75 lakh. Yes, you heard it right.
In an interview with The Quint, he was asked if he is nervous and excited about the big release. Talking about the whole process, he said, “When I write the screenplay, that is the time when I am the happiest, because there is no restriction, there is nothing, it’s just your thoughts that keep flowing. I’m also happy when I'm narrating the story because I’m sure that I can impress my actors with my narration skills. I'm a good storyteller.”
    View this post on Instagram
He went on to add, “During the shoot, what tenses me the most is, when we have these big units and something goes wrong. Like, for example, we were shooting the interval sequence for 65 nights. There were about 100 actors flown in from different countries to play their part and each day cost us 75 lakhs. One night of shooting cost 75 lakhs. In those times, if something is not happening on the clock, I get really really tense, I get really really angry, I get really really upset, I blow my top off, during those times. Other than that, I’m pretty much calm and composed and once everything goes out, once the prints are out for delivery and I have nothing else to do, then yes, there is anxiousness, obviously there is confidence and there's anxiousness. Both will be there until the film releases and we get the report.”

Bollywood actor John Abraham, since making his debut in the early 2000s had really been a sensation, having done a large number of successful movies since then.

John, apart from his acting talent, is known to have been a big heartthrob since his Jism days, with women obviously going gaga over him whenever he's spotted in public.
    © Netflix
One such incident, however, really got to a whole new level. It was when John had been in the Netherlands, where a couple of girls having spotted him, came to greet him.

Well, greeting really isn't it, exactly! As things really got out of hand. Or Hands!
John, while speaking about the incident, said that the girls actually surrounded him and started getting their hands inside his t-shirt.
“Once we were in Holland and five or six excited girls surrounded me and put their hands in my t-shirt. There were like ten hands roaming around in my t-shirt,” said John, while speaking with India TV News.
Now, while most actors would usually have bodyguards around them to make sure that such incidents don't happen, John said that there really was nothing his bodyguards could do in this situation.
“The bodyguards came but said that they would not intervene or else girls would scratch me. So those girls whatever they wanted and it was really sweet,” he said.
However, while things seemed in control at first, there was something really weird and creepy that went after it.
    © Instagram/John Abraham
As per John, one of the girls actually went on to the extent of legit clawing John, with the actor then feeling a burning sensation before realizing that there was blood coming out of his skin.

Soon enough, John asked the girl why she did it and got a really freaky answer in return. “I asked the girl why she did that, she said she wanted my skin in her nails,” said John.
Just wow! Now imagine if something similar had happened with the male and female roles being switched. It's obviously not cool to do that to anyone, let alone a celebrity.
Looks like there are all sorts of crazy fans running around, who think they can do anything.
Hopefully, if something like this happens again next time, John's wife can really take the issue into her hands.

After being a major box office pull in Telugu cinema and delivering hits in other South Indian states as well, Allu Arjun decided to make his way to the pan-Indian audiences with his latest release, Pushpa helmed by Sukumar.
The movie, despite zero promotions in Hindi, is enjoying a strong run with collections heading towards Rs 50 crore. It is now the second-highest-grossing film in Hindi behind only Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi.

While Pushpa has established Allu Arjun in Bollywood, not many may know that his father, the veteran film producer Allu Aravind made a solid impact in the Hindi film industry more than a decade ago.

Did you know it was Allu Aravind who gave Hindi cinema its first Rs 100 crore blockbuster in Ghajini back in 2008? Well, the remake of 2005 Tamil hit, Ghajini was helmed by AR Murugadoss and starred Aamir Khan, Asin and Jiah Khan in lead roles.
The film was produced by Allu Aravind, his first Bollywood film as a producer.
Interestingly, Allu Aravind had also released the Telugu dubbed version of the original Tamil hit and then decided to back the Hindi remake and thereby creating a Rs 100 crore club in the Hindi film industry. Since then, the Rs 100 crore mark has become a benchmark of sorts for success in Bollywood.

The same fact was also highlighted by Allu Arjun recently at Pushpa pre-release press meet in Mumbai. When asked about working with his father under his production, Arjun quipped how his father is already making films in Bollywood but isn’t casting him. He then pointed out that his father made the first Rs 100 crore film in Bollywood.

    Watch the video below:
Apart from Ghajini, Allu Aravind has produced Bollywood films like Pratibandh, The Gentlemen, Kaun?, Kunwara and Calcutta Mail.

His next Bollywood film is Jersey starring Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur, and Shehzada starring Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon.

Shehzada is an official remake of Allu Arjun’s 2020 blockbuster, Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo.

Bobby Deol made his acting debut with the 1995 film Barsaat directed by Rajkumar Santoshi. The movie became a big success and Bobby made a statement with his style, acting and dancing skills. He became the talk of the town.
But, the lesser-known fact is that Bobby was already making headlines years before his debut for being in a relationship with the starlet of the late ‘80s and early ‘90s - Neelam.
Neelam and Bobby were in a 5-year-long relationship when they eventually broke up. The media at that time had gone into overdrive with speculations about their break-up. Many reports claimed Bobby’s affair with Pooja Bhatt was the reason behind it.
    © Neelam Kothari Instagram
Putting all rumours to rest, Neelam had finally opened up about her relationship and break-up with Bobby in a detailed interview with Stardust.

She cleared the air around the break-up saying no one should be blamed for it as it was a mutual decision.
She said, “Yes, it’s true that Bobby and I have split. I don’t like talking about my personal life as it is, but there are a lot of misconceptions and baseless rumours floating around, which I would like to lay to rest with a clarification. I don’t want people to believe what is untrue. And one of the rumours is that Bobby and I have split because of his involvement with Pooja Bhatt. Stardust itself had mentioned this. Well, let me tell you and the world that this is false. I didn’t break off with Bobby because of a Pooja Bhatt. Or any other girl for that matter. Our decision to part ways was mutual and amicable. Certainly not because of infidelity on anyone’s part.”
    © Bobby Deol Instagram
Further calling the break-up with Bobby a painful process, Neelam had stated that it was the “most sensible decision” she made, “Actually, I think it’s the most sensible decision I’ve ever made. For one, it has made my family very happy. Now I can turn my attention to the other things in my life that I’ve been neglecting. So much to catch up on. So much to do. I want to start life afresh.”

Without revealing the actual reason behind the break-up, she mentioned how she realised that she’d never be happy with Bobby and decided to act on it. She said, “I just realized all of a sudden that I would never be happy with him. I know that five years is a long time to reach that realization; I realized late, but at least, I did. And when it dawned on me, I acted as quickly as I could. Like I said earlier, once I’ve made up my mind, I go through with it.”
She further revealed when she discussed it with Bobby, he too was of the same opinion, “When I returned, I spoke to Bobby as well. And we came to this mutual understanding, we both felt it would be better. It’s not just my decision, it’s his decision as well. We both felt that it wouldn’t work out. So…”
    © Neelam Kothari Instagram
There were also rumours that Dharmendra wasn’t happy about Bobby’s relationship with Neelam and it could be the reason for the two breaking up. Quashing the rumour, Neelam said, “Anyway, let me make one thing clear. Believe me, this decision has got nothing to do with either family. I just kept thinking about ultimately ending up as a star-wife – and the thought nagged me so much that it began haunting me. You know the thought of getting involved with a guy who’s getting into films… he hasn’t even started… I just felt scared. Terribly scared. I can’t explain the fear, I thought, might as well finish it now. I couldn’t bear the thought of something going wrong later. It would have been too late. I see it happening all around me, to all the star-wives. Okay, so I decided late, very late, I agree. But still, not too late.”

When prompted further, Neelam refused to reveal the details about their break-up. She was then asked if she ever suspected Bobby of infidelity, she replied, “Never!”
    © Neelam Kothari Instagram
When asked if she ever heard his link-up rumours with any other woman, the actress responded, “Not before the break-up! Believe me, I’ve got nothing to do with that chapter of Bobby’s life. All I know is that as long as I was there, there was no other woman. I can say that with supreme confidence. And the break-up is NOT because of this girl.”

While signing off, Neelam advised Bobby to focus on his career as he was about to make his debut at that time. She said, “What I feel, as someone who’s known him closely, and as a friend, is that he should be careful. He hasn’t even started his career. The last thing he needs now is controversy. He should avoid that at all costs. That’s all I’ll say to him.”

While Bobby went on to marry Tanya Deol in 1996, Neelam married actor Rishi Sethia in the year 2000. However, she soon got divorced and is now happily married to actor Samir Soni since 2011.

There is no doubt that Manchester United's Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the finest football players to have graced the game in its entire history.

    View this post on Instagram
Ronaldo, along with PSG's Lionel Messi, is considered to be the greatest footballer in the world at the moment and has millions of fans across the world who he continues to inspire on a daily basis.
Well, with that in mind, it was recently reported that a large 415kg-weighing brass statue of Ronaldo was installed in Goa to inspire youth to pick up the sport and be better at it.
Footballer Cristiano Ronaldo's statue installed in Panaji, Goa. To inspire youth &take football to next level in the state, country, we came up with this statue. We want our children to become like this legendary footballer, who is a global legend:Goa Minister Michael Lobo(28.12) pic.twitter.com/KthPHc7ox0
    — ANI (@ANI) December 29, 2021
However, soon after the statue worth Rs 12 lakhs was unveiled to the public, Goa came under fire for installing a statue of a Portuguese player rather than that of an Indian footballing legend.
"Very disappointed to hear of the statue of Ronaldo being erected. Learn to take pride in our own icons like Samir Naik and Bruno Coutinho," said Ricardo D'Souza, owner of Titos, one of Goa's most popular nightclubs, while speaking with Free Press Journal.
It was also reported that during the unveiling ceremony of the statue of the Portuguese forward, some right-wing demonstrators labelled the decision as an 'insult to Goa', with the state celebrating its 60th anniversary of liberation from Portuguese rule that spanned for around 451 years.
"To erect a statue of a Portuguese footballer this year is sacrilegious. We condemn this. There are many freedom fighters in Goa who have been insulted. If Lobo wanted to erect 'footballers statues, he should have erected Bruno Coutinho's statue," said a right-wing activist while speaking to Free Press Journal.

However, according to Lobo, who set up the statue, it is just to inspire youth and football can't be divided by religion or caste.

"This is the first statue of Cristiano Ronaldo in India. This is nothing but to inspire our youth. If you want to take football to another level, then this is what will inspire boys and girls by looking at him, taking selfies with him. People who come to the Cristiano Ronaldo park will be inspired to become like him and play for Goa and India... We want to inspire Calangute, Candolim and the coastal belt villages first, then the rest of India.
"There are few people who are opposing this. Looks like they hate football. Football belongs to everyone. It is not divided by religion or caste but still, they are opposing with black flags. Their minds are black. One cannot argue with people who have black minds." said Lobo.
People on social media too voiced their opinions on the statue.
Still not out of slave mentality. Could have installed Sunil Chhetri's statue. I am not against Ronaldo but statue of a Portuguese player in the capital of Goa is preposterous; that too by a BJP minister
    — Chinmay Gokhale (@chinmaygo) December 29, 2021Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the greatest player in the football history. But to inspire youth in India, Indian footballers will have a major role. I would be happy if it was Sunil Chhetri's statue. https://t.co/w5Lptt0lZD

    — titanium (@knownsarcastic) December 29, 2021Some illiterate nationalists are crying over Cristiano Ronaldo's statue & saying Sunil Chhetri's statue should have been installed there rather than him.

    — K.U.M.A.R. (@iamtrlk) December 29, 2021People in replies and quotes telling why no Indian footballer or Sunil Chhetri's statue, there is nothing wrong in Cristiano Ronaldo statue as he is the global face of football and truly a legend. https://t.co/AHVTepYKEW
    — KESHAV (@keshavk789) December 29, 2021I would've appreciate if Sunil Chhetri ka statue hota, coz they said Ronaldo has taken football to next level
    — KT (@KAMALKANT_1405) December 29, 2021Very very sad when your country doesn't respect you. If you install Sunil Chhetri statue instead of Christiano Ronaldo. He is a captain of Indian football team respect him. Very sad.
