    Akshay Kumar is a Bollywood actor who is known to be a daredevil in real life. I mean, he's literally that one Bollywood superstar who still chooses to do his own stunts regardless of how dangerous they might be.

    This is pretty much one of the reasons why Akki is labelled the 'Khiladi' (player) of Bollywood.

    Now, having played a proper action hero in a lot of his films, did you know that the Sooryavanshi actor actually did become a real hero off the screen as well.

    Yeah! Apparently, Akshay has that in his blood. To save the day on cinema screens as well as off it. He literally ended up saving co-star Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's life. 
    This was way back in 2004 when Akki and Aishwarya had been shooting for their action-thriller film Khakee that had a big star cast of Amitabh Bachchan, Tusshar Kapoor, Ajay Devgn, and Lara Dutta.

    For people who've seen the film, you'd know that Khakee really was a proper action film with a lot of crazy action sequences.

    Ranging from the plotline, the acting, and the action-packed sequences made the film one of the biggest hits of 2004. However, there was something else that the movie was also famous for. A crazy accident on its set involving Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who essayed the role of 'Mahalakshmi' in it.
    As per reports, what happened was that Aishwarya and Tusshar had been shooting for a scene where a speeding jeep had to come and stop 20 feet from them.

    However, the driver of the jeep suddenly lost control and ended up hitting both of them and pushing them off the edge of the road. This led to Aishwarya falling into the bushes wherein she got a fracture on her left foot.

    Things could have been much worse for her, however, it was then when Akshay Kumar jumped to save the day.
    According to reports, Akshay laid instructions that the jeep be pulled off the mud rather than being reversed to minimize the risk factor. Following this, Akki himself rushed Aishwarya to the hospital. This clearly did help Aishwarya as she could be treated on her injuries faster.
    Now, talking about the dreadful incident during an old interview, Akki humbly said, "I did not 'save' Aishwarya Rai's life. That sounds very dramatic. I just happened to be there when she was in a distressed situation. So I did the most logical thing: I drove her to a hospital. That is it. I would do the same for anyone."
    Ah! We get you, Akshay. Heroes usually are very subtle about their accomplishments. We respect you nonetheless.

    Former India head coach Ravi Shastri has questioned the silence of BCCI president Sourav Ganguly in the Virat Kohli controversy which has garnered a lot of unnecessary attention in recent times.
    Like many other experts, the 59-year-old former all-rounder also feels that this whole situation could have been handled better with “good communication” between Kohli and Ganguly.

    Speaking at The Indian Express e.Adda, Shastri said that “with good communication, this can be handled better”.

    Ever since Kohli gave that controversial press conference, people have started taking sides. While Kohli’s die-hard fans are backing their superstar, there is no dearth of people who are making the case for Ganguly on various social networking sites.

    Although he didn’t come out in support of any one individual, the former all-rounder did share what he thought about this whole controversy and even suggested a way out.

    Shastri feels that this whole controversy was a result of miscommunication and after Kohli gave his side of the story, the only way to put this whole controversy to rest is if the BCCI chief also presented his facts in public.
    The former head coach, whose mighty successful tenure with the Indian team ended with a disappointing exit from the T20 World Cup, said that people should refrain from taking up any sides, without listening to both the parties.

    “Virat has given his side of the story. It needs the board president to give his side of the story. It’s not about who’s lying and who’s not. It’s not right to jump into there until you know what was the actual conversation.”.

    However, people aren’t convinced whether following Shastri’s advice would ease the tension between both the legends of the game or drag it to a whole new level, widening the dividen even further.

    Once again people are divided. Those supporting Shastri’s idea demanded an answer from Ganguly for his comments while others opined that  the BCCI president, in fact, did the right thing by not addressing the issue in public. They argued that doing so would have made the matter worse and disturbed the team atmosphere, possibly affecting the team’s performance in the upcoming Test series.

Before embarking on the South Africa tour with the Indian Test side, the skipper had sent shockwaves around the cricketing community by refuting the comments of the BCCI president.
    A couple of months after Kohli stepped down from the T20I captaincy, the selectors and the BCCI officials stripped him off 50-over leadership duties as well and handed it over to Rohit Sharma with a rather cold email, while announcing the Test squad for the South Africa tour.

    Ganguly then tried to explain the rationale behind Kohli’s removal but ended up making the matter worse when he said that he had personally requested the former white-ball skipper to not give up his job but didn’t take his advice and he was in a way responsible for his own sacking.

    Responding to Ganguly’s claims, Kohli had said that the statement was inaccurate and nobody ever told him not to give up the shortest format captaincy, which sparked a huge controversy.

    No doubt the matter should have been handled better by both the parties but Ganguly should be given full credit for not getting carried away by emotions and handling the matter internally.

    There has been a constant buzz around their wedding, however, according to the latest reports, the much-in-love couple is finally ready to take their relationship to the next level by getting married in March 2022. Yes, you read that right! Since Richa and Ali have projects lined up starting in April, they have decided to take the plunge in March. 

    Revealing the same, a source told Mid-Day, "The wedding will be a two-city affair — in Mumbai and Delhi. However, they will keep it intimate with only family and close friends in attendance. At the moment, the actors are looking at various venues in the cities and will zero in on the locations soon".
    The source added, "Ali is working on a few Hollywood projects. So, they worked out their dates and settled on a summer wedding".
    However, the actors are yet to confirm the same. For the unversed, the couple was all set to get hitched in April 2020, however, the COVID-19 pandemic played spoilsport at that time.
    Talking about their love story, Richa and Ali first met each other on Fukrey sets in 2012 and became friends. Eventually, their friendship blossomed into love.  Later, they also teamed up for Fukrey 2 which was released in 2017. In the same year, Ali finally confirmed dating Richa and the duo has been in a happy space since then.
    On the career front, both of them will be reuniting onscreen for Fukrey 3. Apart from that, Ali reportedly has a few Hollywood projects lined-up while Richa is said to be a part of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's debut web series Heera Mandi. However, the official announcement is still awaited.

    After a long wait, the makers of Prabhas and Pooja Hegde's Radhe Shyam have finally released the film's trailer. Going by the trailer, the much-hyped movie looks like an out-and-out Sci-fi Romantic tragedy. The Baahubali star is essaying the role of a Palmist/future teller named Vikramaditya in the intriguing drama, directed by Radha Krishna Kumar.

    Prabhas' character is shown as a flirt, who thinks that love and marriage are not meant for him. However, he eventually falls for Prerna (Pooja Hegde) and both of them are then shown happy together. However, with shots like blood-stained hands and a sinking ship, the second half of the trailer hints at a tragic climax to their love story.

    Ever since its release, the trailer is trending on Twitter as netizens are continuously talking about Radhe Shyam on the platform. Overall, the trailer has been receiving a mixed response from social media users. Prabhas and Pooja's fans have loved the trailer and are appreciating their onscreen chemistry. Also, people are calling it a visual treat. 
    However, a section of netizens aren't too happy with the trailer and think that it failed to meet the expectations. 
    A user wrote, "Truly loved it man.. probably best Cgi work in Indian cinema till now.. Chemistry between Prabhas and Pooja worked excellently.. Cinematography on top-level". Another wrote, "Seems like #Prabhas is looking more stiff and less energetic in #RadheShyamTrailer compared to Bahubali duology. More proof Rajamouli brings out the best & energy of his actors well than others of late".

    This past week, Ravichandran Ashwin had taken over the Indian cricket fans with an insight into his mind and and his comeback journey to white-ball cricket for his country. The 35-year-old spoke about the time he was dropped from the squad for alternative options, how he was sidelined due to injuries and the kind of mental trauma he suffered because of all of it.
    However, one of the biggest highlights from Ashwin’s expression of his struggles was when he spoke about his former head coach Ravi Shastri and how Shastri’s praise of Kuldeep Yadav had affected him negatively.

    During an interview with ESPNcricinfo, Ashwin addressed the moment when Shastri had commended Yadav as India’s best overseas spinner after his incredible performance in Australia, when he took a five-wicket haul, while also saying that he was happy about his compatriot’s achievement.
    However, a few days after Ashwin’s comments, Shastri has finally responded to his words in the typical ‘Ravi Shastri’ way. The former Indian coach said that he was “glad” that his words had an impact of Ashwin’s performance as a cricketer.
    “My job is not to butter everyone’s toast. My job is to state facts without agenda,” he added while clarifying that he wasn’t the leader of the supporting team for the Men in Blue just to boost a player’s ego unnecessarily.
