    If I were to choose alternate careers for people in the industry, besides suggesting Karan Johar become an official match-maker and Ranveer Singh, a stylist, I would most definitely also suggest actress Kangana Ranaut become a journalist, because either way that woman knows how to break headlines. And this time around she did so by directly attacking 'those in power'.
    Yet again in the news with another controversy, Manikarnika actress Kangana Ranaut turned up to the Khar police station in Mumbai today morning in connection with the FIR that was lodged against her for her remarks about the farmer’s protest.

    Being the unapologetic and unabashed person she is, when the farmers came together to protest against the farmers' laws passed in September 2020, the actress didn't shy away from giving her two cents. 

    In fact, she gave more than just her two cents, for she passed rather controversial and allegedly ‘provoking’ remarks about the protests. Which in turn, invited an FIR against her for being insensitive.
    The actress was supposed to show up for questioning at the police station on the 22nd of December, however, she could not make it. Instead, the actress showed up at the Khar police station today dressed in a floral saree.

    However, what really caught attention was not so much as her appearance at the station, but what came after - a post on social media. 

    Taking to her Instagram account, Kangana Ranaut posted a story with a caption that read, “Another day, another visit to the police station. Hundreds of politically motivated FIR and hours of questioning."

    The actress went on to take a direct dig at those in power as she said, “This country continues to ill-treat and devalue nationalists and if you love your nation, you are on your own against a very powerful enemy. Those in power would prioritise vote banks and for that, they can encourage terrorism. So it's a lonely road and guess what? It's alright #jaihind.”

    The FIR, in question, was filed by a Sikh organisation that claimed that Kangana, through her Instagram post, had portrayed the farmers' protest on Delhi borders as a ‘Khalistani movement’ This is also not the only FIR against the actress till now.

    The premiere of 83 was a humongous success last night as the star lit red carpet was filled with the biggest names of Bollywood and the Cricket world. The movie chronicles the success of the Indian team winning the World Cup in 1983 and watching the real life stars with the on-screen reel life stars was a wonderful aesthetic sight.



    The movie is getting raving reviews from critics and the star of the show is obviously our beloved ‘baba’ Ranveer Singh who looked absolutely polished last night walking hand-in-hand with his ladylove and co-star Deepika Padukone. While we still have to wait for a day for the movie to release, the after party videos of the entire on-screen gang dancing the night away is reminiscent of Deepika-Ranveer’s wedding videos. The couple is seen dancing to Bijee Bijlee and Lover, the famous track by Diljit Dosanjh.

    Former Bigg Boss OTT contestant Urfi Javed often finds herself at the receiving end of trolls for her choice of attire. 
    She has now been joined by fellow contestant Neha Bhasin, who was recently trolled for the outfit that she was wearing while on a dinner date with Bigg Boss 15 fame Rajiv Adatia. 
    Taking to Instagram, Neha had shared a few pictures of herself with Rajiv and later, a video of the two was shared by a paparazzi account on social media.

    As soon as the video was posted, trolls went after the singer for her outfit - a purple bralette and a skirt. She was spotted in Bandra alongside Rajiv.

    Taking to the comments section of the post, one troll compared her to Urfi Javed and asked if she was her elder sister, “Yeh kya URFI ki badi Behen hai kya.” 
    Another wondered about the temperature in Mumbai since the weather is usually cold during this time of the year in North India. The comment read, “What is temperature in your place nehaji don't you feel cold in December.”  
    Another user called her dressing sense to be of “low level”, while a few called her out for not wearing face masks despite the spread of Omicron variant, “What's going wrong with you people's please wear your Mask”.

    Neha Bhasin is a noted singer known for lending her voice to songs like Swag Se Swagat from Tiger Zinda Hai, Jag Ghoomeya from Sultan, Dhunki from Mere Brother Ki Dulhan and Chashni from Bharat among others. 

    She had recently tweeted about her journey in the Bigg Boss house saying, “I am grateful to be remembered with Love. Little things matter to me.     I am 25-years-old, presumably fit, fine and healthy and often reminded to be in what are called the ‘prime years’ of my life. 
    Considering I am neither obese nor too skinny, I believed that I may fit right into the definition of being fit, but that was until I met Milind Soman, a bonafide name in the fashion, Bollywood and fitness fraternity.
    Someone who is known to break past stereotypes and redefine ‘normal’, Milind Soman recently spoke exclusively with MensXP where he blew my mind by discarding every single notion I had towards fitness.

    The actor and supermodel recently embarked on a 10-day-long journey by riding a bicycle from Mumbai to Delhi. Mapping through the cities of Gujarat, Rajasthan and Haryana, Milind partnered with Veeba’s Earthmade Organix for this green ride to emphasize the need for cleaner air. 

    And while at it, Milind Soman also busted a few myths we had about staying healthy, especially ones where we assumed that a fit body could only be a byproduct of relentless workout. 
    However, coming from the horse’s mouth himself, Milind revealed, “I don’t really work out so I don’t use those terms, but I am active for only about 15-20 minutes a day. That’s my average for working out every day.”

    And for all those of us who presumed that a good body could only come from hours of gyming and dieting, this came as a breath of fresh air and hope.

    Milind continued to say, “I never go to the gym, I just challenge myself regularly. Be it by embarking on a 10-day challenge like this one, where I cycled from Bombay to Delhi to promote the cause or by running triathlons or anything.”

    He also clarified how he might be seen doing a lot of marathons, but he doesn’t indulge in them all too often either. 

    “I don’t do it all the time. The only catch is that I have maintained that level of fitness where I can dream of doing whatever I want and I am equipped to actually do it. That is the secret to living life. Life is constantly throwing challenges at you, and if you’re not prepared - you suffer. It’s like the lesson you learnt in school- if you study, you pass. It has nothing to do with geography or science or mathematics. If you’ll study, you’ll pass,” said Milind.
    Calling his 15-20 minutes of workout every single day of his life, a ‘bare minimum’, Milind squashed all those notions we had about fitness by reminding us that the human body can function well and stay healthy simply by being consistent.

    Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are enjoying the love their movie has got from film critics and their industry friends. Yesterday, they organized a big screening, and famous names like Ayushmann Khurrana, Janhvi Kapoor, and others graced the occasion with their presence. As Alia Bhatt is close friends with Ranveer and has already worked with him in many projects, she also came to appreciate her Gully Boy. 
    As it was a glittery event, Alia chose to wear an off-shoulder black mini dress that came with silver sequins all over and was draped with a black cloth to end in a flowy train on either side. She kept her hair open and accentuated her look with smokey eye makeup. She wore a pair of black heels that added glam to her look.

    While she genuinely looked pretty, people were busy making fun of her dress. It’s her choice and she did carry her attire well. 

    Alia is no stranger to being trolled on social networking sites. A while back, Bhatt was massively trolled for not attending her BFF Katrina Kaif’s wedding. It’s not a hidden fact that Alia is dating Katrina’s ex-boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor and people were quick enough to judge Alia on the basis of their dynamics. People went on to say that Katrina might not have even invited her. But, it wasn’t the case as Alia had prior work comments, and it was the trailer launch of the RRR movie on the very same day. 
    On the personal front, Alia has been making headlines for her relationship with Ranbir Kapoor. The two are said to be dating each other for the last few years and are set to get hitched next year. Alia and Ranbir are said to have fallen for each other on the sets of Brahmastra almost four years back.

    The premiere of 83 saw the presence of who’s who of the film industry. 
    The event was graced by cast members of the film including Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, former Indian cricketers like Kapil Dev and other celebs like Alia Bhatt, Rohit Shetty, Vivek Oberoi, Karan Johar and Janhvi Kapoor. 
    Meanwhile, there is a video going viral from the event where Alia Bhatt is seen walking back to her car after the premiere. 
    In the video, one of the paparazzi is seen asking Alia about her favourite scene from the film.

    Alia’s prompt response to the pap is simply hilarious. She replies, “Picture toh release hone do na main fir apni poori katha likhoongi (Let the film release on Friday then I will write the whole thesis on it.)”

    On the work front, Alia will next be seen with Ranbir Kapoor in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra: Part One - Shiva. The first look poster and the release date of the film were recently announced. 

    Besides that, she will also be seen alongside Ranveer Singh in Karan Johar’s next directorial Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.

    As for 83, the movie is based on the Indian Cricket Team’s 1983 World Cup win. 

    Besides Ranveer and Deepika, the movie also stars Saqib Saleem, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Boman Irani, Pankaj Tripathi, Sahil Khattar, Jiiva, Jatin Sarna, Chirag Patil, Harrdy Sandhu and Ammy Virk among others. 
    Directed by Kabir Khan, 83 is slated for December 24 release in theatres.

    The Matrix had revolutionised filmmaking around the world back in 1999. While its sequels weren’t as good as the original film, they were still highly enjoyable. 
    With the fourth part, The Matrix Resurrections, the franchise goes down the rabbit hole. 
    When the film was announced I was excited as well as sceptical. And unfortunately, I was right being sceptical as the film is mediocre at best. 
    Set 60 years after the original trilogy finale, Thomas Anderson (Keanu Reeves) is a successful video game developer in the newly redesigned Matrix. He is having a hard time figuring out whether the events of the first three Matrix films are real or a fantasy.

    Based on his supposed dreams and flashes of past events, he creates a video game trilogy that is said to be a massive success. His life takes a turn when Morpheus comes looking for him. 

    What happens next forms the rest of the story. 
    The movie starts off well with some very smart writing and meta humour that adds to the intriguing plot. However, it soon loses steam. Once the plot unfolds, the narrative falls flat. 
    While the previous three films were directed by The Wachowski Sisters, then-Brothers, for the fourth part, only one-half of the duo has returned. Director Lana Wachowski, who is also one of the writers of the film, smartly plays on the nostalgia of the first three films. While her execution is fine, it is the writing that suffers. 
    The movie is too preachy for its own good with more talk and less action. In fact, the original trilogy is still remembered for its grand and stylised action sequences that were never seen before in world cinema. The Matrix Resurrections has nothing new to offer.

    The major disappointment for me was the lack of one good action sequence that is worth writing home about and the lack of style or substance. The narrative takes a lot of time in coming to the point. Of its 2-hour-and-27-minute runtime, it is only in the last hour when anything really happens. 

    Talking about the performances, Keanu Reeves returns to the character with effortless ease. Though, the character itself isn’t a patch on the Neo of the past. Even though Carrie-Anne Moss has a limited screen presence, her chemistry with Reeves still works wonders. 
    Among the supporting cast members, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, the new Morpheus has little to do in the rest of the film except for the first half-hour. Also, I am still trying to wrap my head around how the Morpheus thing worked here. They did try to explain but it was too technical for me to understand. 
    Jessica Henwick stands out as Bugs. It was good to see Neil Patrick Harris in a substantial part after a long time. He is a scene-stealer along with Jonathan Groff, who plays a version of Smith. Groff is simply having a ball here.

    Priyanka Chopra Jonas plays a role that is highly important to the narrative. She owns the screen and blends in well. 

    Now, comes the most pertinent question that I had in mind while watching the movie. 
    Why did the makers decide to revive the franchise? What was the need for them to tell this story? And all I could think of is that this was a quick cash grab reboot for them because the trilogy had a definitive ending and there is nothing new or interesting really that this fourth instalment has to say. 
    In comparison, when Breaking Bad was revived with El Camino: The Breaking Bad Story, there was the need for closure for Jesse Pinkman. Similarly, the ongoing Dexter season 9 made a comeback after almost ten years because there was a scope for a definitive finale, that was missing from the then ending of the show.

    Overall, Matrix Resurrections works, if at all, only for the nostalgia and the striking visuals. 

    If there was an option to choose the Red Pill or the Blue Pill with regards to the film, I will happily go for the blue one because ignorance is bliss as they say. This idea of a reboot should’ve been ignored by the makers and the actors involved.

    Bigg Boss contestant Urfi Javed has been in the news and all over social media for a while now. Her sartorial choice of clothes and her ‘airprort looks’ have managed to find a permanent space on the internet. 

    While a lot of people throw shade on her, and troll her, calling her outfit choices ‘bold’ and accuse her of 'craving attention', Urfi has an army of supporters who want her haters to understand that she can wear whatever she wants.

    If one would assume that this insane amount of trolling received by her on a regular basis would affect her, they could not be more wrong.
    Urfi recently opened up about how she is not concerned and is undeterred by the criticism that comes her way. Speaking to India Today, Urfi spoke about her life, marriage plans and her religion. 
    “I am a Muslim girl. Most of the hate comments I receive are from Muslim people. They say that I am tarnishing the image of Islam. They hate me because Muslim men want their women to behave in a certain way. They want to control all the women in the community. I don’t believe in Islam because of this. The reason why they troll me is because I don't behave the way they expect me to as per their religion.”
    Talking about her religious faith, Urfi further clarified, "I will never marry a Muslim guy. I don't believe in Islam and I don't follow any religion, so, I don't care who I fall in love with. We should marry whoever we want to.”

    She also spoke about her personal belief in religion and spiritual faith. 
    “My father was a very conservative man. He left me and my siblings with our mother when I was 17-years-old. My mother is a very religious woman, but she never forced her religion on us. My siblings follow Islam and I don't, but they never force it on me. That's how it is supposed to be. You cannot force your religion upon your wife and children. It should come from the heart; otherwise, neither you nor Allah would be happy”. 
    She also shared that she is currently reading the Bhagavad Gita. “I am reading the Bhagavad Gita right now. I just want to know more about that religion [Hinduism]. I am more interested in the logical part of it. I hate extremism, so I just want to extract the good part of the holy book” she said.
    Urfi has earlier posted a video talking about extremism and what she thinks about it. Her video garnered a lot of reactions.
