    Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, featuring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel in lead roles, was released in 2001 and turned out to be a huge blockbuster. After a gap of 20 years, the makers are now helming Gadar 2 in which both the lead actors along with their on-screen son Utkarsh Sharma will be seen reprising their roles. Earlier this month, the shooting for Gadar sequel finally started in Himachal Pradesh and has been going on in full swing.

    It's only been a few days since Gadar 2 went on floors and the film has now courted controversy over the shoot location. According to reports, the makers have been accused of cheating and fraud. 

    Some important sequences of the much-awaited film were shot recently in Bhaled village near Palampur in Himachal Pradesh. The team shot at a property for 10 days in the village and the owner has now accused the makers of cheating.  
    He has claimed that the film's shooting was supposed to take place in 1 hall and 3 rooms only and the Gadar 2 makers had agreed to pay Rs 11,000 per day as rent.  
    “But, now the makers are using the entire house for shooting the film. The makers are also using the house of my elder brother. Makers have cheated us. We are facing a lot of trouble due to shooting,” the News18 report quoted the owner.
    Also, he has now asked the makers to stop shooting the film on his property and has reportedly given a bill of Rs 56 lakh to them. The Gadar 2 team is yet to react to the same. 
    Earlier this month, announcing the film on social media, Ameesha Patel had shared a few pictures from the set revealing her as well as Sunny Deol's look. In the photos, both the actors are seen posing together for pictures. Looks like they have not aged at all!

    Reportedly, the story will be continued from where it was left off two decades ago. 

    For the unversed, Gadar had clashed with Aamir Khan's Lagaan in 2001. However, both films performed really well at the box office and turned out to be superhits. Fans are now eagerly waiting for Gadar 2 and it'll be interesting to see if the makers will be able to create the same magic onscreen or not.

    When Virat Kohli contradicted BCCI president Sourav Ganguly’s statement during a press conference last week, it sent shockwaves throughout the country, the tremors of which are still being felt almost a week after the incident.
    Like many of us, Indian batting legend Dilip Vengsarkar also feels that this whole episode was “very unfortunate” and raised many questions in the minds of billions of fans who follow this game like a religion in the country.

    “It’s very unfortunate, the whole thing. I think it should have been handled more professionally by the cricket board,” Vengsarkar told Khaleej Times.

    Unlike many people who blame Kohli’s arrogance for his whole mess, the former chief selector feels that the foundation for this whole controversy was laid out by the BCCI president, when he started to speak on behalf of the selectors in the media.
    Vengsarkar, who played 116 Tests for the country between 1976-92, said that “Ganguly had no business” to speak on the behalf of the selectors committee and called him out for interfering in their matter.

    “The thing is that Ganguly had no business to speak on behalf of the selection committee. Ganguly is the president of BCCI. Any issue about selection or captaincy, it’s the chairman of the selection committee who should speak,” said the former India captain.

    Vengsarkar argued that the manner in which Kohli was sacked from ODI captaincy and after Ganguly’s comments in the media, the 33-year-old cricketer was left with no choice but to address the situation and put everything to rest ahead of an important tour.

    “Ganguly spoke about the whole thing, obviously Virat wanted to make his case clear. I believe it should have been between the chairman of the selection committee and the captain. A captain is selected or removed by the selection committee, that’s not Ganguly’s jurisdiction at all,” he explained.

    Kohli was about to embark on a challenging tour for the next couple of months and one could understand why he wanted to make everything clear.

    As for the BCCI, they should treat this whole episode as a huge learning point going forward. LIke Vengsarkar said, each and every individual who is associated with the Indian cricket board has been tasked with performing a given role and it would be better if everybody, irrespective of their position, respected that and let everyone do their job.

But I choose my Pageant because that was my childhood dream. For other people, of course, that dream is bigger than my dream. But for me as a person, this one was bigger than anything.”

    She concluded, “No matter what big opportunity I was being offered, but as I said, I always follow what my heart says and I always pick-and-choose what my heart tells me.     The year 2021 was a tough year. Especially in the matters of the heart, for we ended up witnessing too many divorces and break-ups that we’d hoped. Be it between actors Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya or Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik, the year was full of splits.
    However, if there is one thing that stings more than heartbreak during such split-ups, it has to be the settlement of alimony, which in a few cases like this one, was off the charts. 
    We are talking about the divorce settlement of Dubai royalty, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum and his ex-wife.

    Turns out, the UK courts have ordered the Sheikh to pay £550 million ($730 million) to his ex-wife as settlement. 

    Middle Eastern royalty Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum was married to Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein in 2004 however things didn’t bode well for the couple as they drifted apart. 
    The 72-year-old vice-president and prime minister of UAE apparently divorced the Princess in 2019 under the Sharia law without her knowledge. The details of their marriage also came forward during the court proceedings which brought to light how Sheikh Mohammed authorised the use of spying software to hack his ex-wife's phones.

    Not just this, but the Ruler of Dubai had previously also been accused of having organized the abduction of two of his daughters and had them forcibly returned to Dubai. And it is this fear and intimidating need for tight security that has translated into such a big amount of alimony.

    After years of battle between the estranged royal couple, the UK high court has observed that Sheikh Mohammed used his "immense wealth, political power and international influence" to try and bully and silence the 47-year-old princess.

    From the £550 million ($730 million) that needs to be paid to Princess Haya, 251.5 million pounds would go towards the upkeep of Princess Haya's houses in London. And over and above that, the Dubai ruler has been ordered by the court to cover a 10-year refurbishment project of the house and also cover the salaries of five housekeepers.

    During her marriage with the Sheikh, Princess Haya had bought almost 400 racehorses, spent 631,000 pounds on one summer vacation in Italy, and on another in Greece, they spent close to 274,000 euros. In fact, the Ruler of Dubai had granted 277,050 pounds a year for spending on pets, including 25,000 pounds to buy horses and 12,000 pounds for toys, grooming, and training of unspecified animals.

    As far as her wardrobe was concerned, the Sheikh used to spoil her with extravagant clothes and jewels day in and day out. During the divorce settlement, she was awarded 13.7 million pounds as compensation for her alleged missing jewellery and haute couture.

    What's up, fellow Superhero movie fans? It really has been a delightful year in terms of superhero movies and tv shows that have, so far, been released in cinemas and OTT platforms. 
    Things really kicked off with Wanda Vision, Falcon And The Winter Soldier, and the Loki series, and the end of the year bringing more content in the form of the Shang Chi movie, The Eternals, and the Hawkeye series.

    Later, to what really was whipped creamed-Cherry on top was Tom Holland's Spider-Man: No Way Home movie. 

    The movie truly was insane, for whoever got the pleasure of visiting the cinema halls to witness the spectacle.

    Now, for people who've seen the movie, it really is no surprise that Tobey Maguire as well as Andrew Garfield's Spideys do return to the movie to fight the villains of the past. 

    The movie sure lived up to all the hype, however, what it also ended up proving was the fact that Andrew Garfield's Amazing Spider-Man, was actually pretty darn Amazing.

    I mean, over the years, the two-part movie series starring Garfield has really gotten a lot of stick from fans and critics alike, for being sort of 'Lame'. 

    Well, as things turned out, in the movie, Andrew is kind of the best things about the film, with his Spider-Man character as well as his portrayal of Peter Parker getting a very warm reception from older as well as the newer section of fans. 
    Now, in light of those things, many fans have demanded that Andrew be brought back for Amazing Spider-Man 3, the film which was supposed to happen but was shunned by the studio.

    Now, while Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige already confirmed that work maybe underway for Tom Holland doing more Spider-Man movies, it looks like Andrew Garfield may be returning as Spider-Man again. 
    As per CBR, these are the words of insider Daniel Richtman, who is a known source of information for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. "I also hear Andrew might come back," said Richtman.

    However, he's, so far, made no mention whether it will be a separate project or the revival of Marc Webb's The Amazing Spider-Man franchise. 
    On the other hand, Feige has already spoken about how he's working with Sony, Amy Pascal (Spider-Man: No Way Home producer), and Disney about what happens next in the Spider-Man series. 
    “Amy (Pascal) and I and Disney and Sony are talking about — yes, we’re actively beginning to develop where the story heads next,” said Feige. 
    Looks like this was just the start to Spider-Mania!

    'How to lift more weight' is a standard question that every beginner has asked in the gym at some point. While developing strength takes time because strength is essentially a skill, there are other factors at play too that can make or break your lifting experience. Technique is one such key factor.

    While watching Baahubali, all new lifters have wondered at least once how the dude managed to lift that massive Shivling with considerable ease. Now, we aren't Baahubali and life is not a movie, so perhaps a feat comparable to that would never be possible, but we can definitely try to lift weights which are much more than our body weight.

    While you can't expect to just start lifting more than your body weight after working out for a week or even a month, it can be done soon enough with consistency, proper training, and most importantly, proper nutrition. However, that is not what we're discussing here.

    What we'll be discussing here is an extremely important breathing technique that will totally transform your lifting experience. To give you an overall idea about what our goal is, we'll try something called 'bracing our core' through building up IAP (Intra Abdominal Pressure), that will help you lift substantially more weight.

    The goal is to temporarily solidify our core by filling in air, so that it doesn't crumble under the weight pressure. Think of an unopened soda can being able to withstand a lot of weight, as opposed to an open and empty soda can.

    Let's discuss the steps.

    1. Just before you start the lift, position yourself and take in a deep breath. Make sure it's nice and proper diaphragmatic breathing.

    2. Then, don't breathe out immediately or the purpose will be defeated. Hold your breath and brace your core. Imagine someone is going to punch you in the stomach - that should help you understand the objective better.
