    After getting married to Vicky Kaushal earlier this month, Katrina Kaif is currently on a break from work and is enjoying marital bliss. While Vicky recently resumed work and is about to start shooting for Meghna Gulzar's Sam Bahadur, the Rajneeti actress too is ready to face the camera again. There has been a constant buzz that she'll resume shooting for Tiger 3 with Salman Khan post tying the knot. However, the latest reports suggest that Katrina will start shooting for a film from this week but it's not Tiger 3. 
    According to TOI, Katrina's first project after the wedding will be Sriram Raghavan's next titled Merry Christmas. The report further states that the Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara star is most likely to start shooting for the film in a couple of days at a studio in Mumbai.
    While the actress is yet to confirm the same, her fans are already excited as the film reportedly stars Vijay Sethupathi opposite her. Originally, the shooting for Merry Christmas was supposed to start in April 2021, however, got delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic. Produced by Ramesh Taurani, the film's duration will be of 90 minutes and it is going to be a thriller. Not much about the plot is yet revealed by the makers. 
    Merry Christmas is going to be the second Hindi film of Sethupathi. He will be making his Bollywood debut with Mumbaikar co-starring Vikrant Massey.
    Coming back to Katrina, she exchanged wedding vows with Vicky in Rajasthan in a big-fat Punjabi wedding. After the ceremony, the newly-married couple returned to Mumbai after spending a few days in Maldives for their honeymoon. After a Griha Pravesh puja, Katrina even made halwa for Vicky and his family. 
    On the professional front, Katrina's interesting lineup also includes Phone Bhoot co-starring Ishaan Khatter and Siddhant Chaturvedi, and Farhan Akhtar's female buddy film Jee Le Zara alongside Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Alia Bhatt.

    Over the last couple of days, a lot has been said about Ravichandran Ashwin and whatever it is that goes on in his mind. He has spoken about how Ravi Shastri’s praise of Kuldeep Yadav affected him, and how MS Dhoni’s advice helped him come out of a “mental trauma” back when he was dropped from Team India due to the selectors going ahead with alternative bowling options and injuries.

    We live in a time when interviews need to be exciting and must reveal some controversial issues about a big celebrity in order for it to get the attention of the readers. However, Bollywood star Manoj Bajpayee and the captain of the New Zealand cricket squad, Kane Williamson managed to pull off just a simple yet fun conversation, as if between two good friends, and it did wonders for the fans in India.
    During the Amazon Prime Video online interaction between the two legends of their respective fields, the veteran actor asked the Black Caps leader a series of amusing questions with a little bit of cheeky humour and a lot of implicit respect for each other.

    Bajpayee tried numerous times to pull the cricketer's leg. From trying to make him reveal New Zealand’s strategy against Bangladesh to sarcastically asking him how he enjoyed his ‘newly discovered’ fame after defeating India and winning the World Test Championship earlier this year, the actor was hoping to joke around with the Kiwi batter.
    However, it was Williamson who got the last laugh. When Bajpayee asked Kane to select his favourite online series, the latter created a whole build-up to trap his interviewer with a knockout answer. 

    Without naming the show at first, Williamson said that he had already seen the first two seasons of it and was excited for the third season to be released in the future. Considering the fact that Manoj Baypayee’s hit show, ‘Family Man’ has released two seasons, the actor was expecting the cricketer to choose his show and therefore had a big smile on his face.
    But Williamson clean bowled him when he clarified that he was talking about ‘Mirzapur’, yet another flagship show for Amazon Prime Videos that has released two seasons and is currently in the works for a third season. With this, Bajpayee’s smile went away in a hurry and there was nothing he wanted to talk about after being served by the Kiwi skipper.

    Obviously, the whole interview was scripted and by the looks of it, Bajpayee had no idea about any of Williamson’s teammates when the two were chatting but the thing of beauty to see was how two absolute icons from different countries and professions were able to have such chemistry simply because of their humbleness and the capabilities as entertainers.

The makers released the trailer recently which has created quite a stir among fans, who are now looking forward to the film's release. The lead stars are giving interviews continuously so that their film reaches a wider audience. During the promotions recently, Sai Pallavi slammed a journalist who asked about Nani and Krithi's kissing scene in the film and made them uncomfortable during the interview.

    Sai jumped in quickly to express her views and said, "In the film, we play respective characters. There is a certain setup and mood-setting that go into the making of such scenes. On screen, we are actors. Now (off-screen), we are just typical individuals. We don’t feel uncomfortable while filming such scenes. We feel uncomfortable while you ask questions like these".

    In continuation, the interviewer asked Krithi to share her views on the romantic scenes in Shyam Singha Roy adding that her debut film Upenna too had the sizzling Jala Jala Patham song. 

    Responding to the question again, Sai said, "Asking a teenage actress if she felt comfortable while acting in romantic scenes is as stupid as it can get. Actors are bound to act in certain scenes if the script demands," reported mirchi9.com.

    For the unversed, Shyam Singha Roy is a period reincarnation drama and is set in Hyderabad and Kolkata. Nani will be seen playing a dual role opposite Krithi and Sai Pallavi. Directed by Rahul Sankrityan, the film also features Madonna Sebastian and other south actors in pivotal roles. Shyam Singha Roy is scheduled to hit the big screens on December 24.

    After the makers of Akshay Kumar, Sara Ali Khan, and Dhanush's much-awaited Atrangi Re dropped the trailer, people were curious to know the dynamics of the relationship present in the movie. If you have seen the trailer, you would know Sara’s character Rinku is married to Dhanush’s character Vishnu and their alliance isn’t mutual but that of force. 
    The twist in the story comes when Akshay’s character Sajad is introduced into the narrative. Sara’s character Rinku is caught between two worlds – her present and the one she lived in the past. She is in love with both Vishnu and Sajad.

    Now that Sara and Dhanush have paired up with each other for the first time, it has attracted the viewers from both down south and up north. As the two have already started promoting the movie, they appeared on a special episode of Koffee Shots with Karan. 
    The main highlight of the episode was Dhanush revealed that he was a little worried when he learnt that Sara was cast in the movie as he was not sure if she could do justice to her character. Well, he even expressed his reservations to director Aanand L Rai.

    Dhanush said, “To be very honest, I was a little worried. It’s such a big role and a very difficult character to play. I asked Aanand Ji, ‘How many films has she done?’ He told me 2 or 3 films, at that point in time. I was like, ‘Can she pull it off?’” He went on to add, “Aanand Ji kept telling me, ‘There is something I need and I see it in her.’ And he does. I don’t know how he cracks that. For some reason, out of nowhere, he brought me here to do Raanjhanaa. He had the conviction that this is my actor for the film. So, he must have seen something in her.”

    Later on, he also appreciated Sara for being a sincere actor and he was surprised to see her take the part this seriously as he had reservations about her being cast in the movie. We really hope that Sara manages to impress the audience with her character Rinku. Dhanush also pointed out that Sara knew that it will be a dream role for any actor. 
    Talking about the movie, he added, “I don’t see this as ‘its a very important film for me in Hindi’. It is an important film for me because it’s directed by my brother so it is very important that way, but in other ways, every film I do is very important for me.”

    Sara Ali Khan made her Hindi film debut with Abhishek Kapoor directorial Kedarnath starring late Sushant Singh Rajput. 
    She then followed it up with other successful films like Simmba and Coolie No. 1. However, her film with Imtiaz Ali, Love Aaj Kal starring Kartik Aaryan was a critical and commercial failure. 
    In fact, Love Aaj Kal was the first time Sara received poor reviews for her performance as well. 
    In a recent special episode of Koffee With Karan, while promoting her film Atrangi Re, Sara was asked about the worst criticism that she received for her acting.

    Sara had a prompt response to the question asked by Karan Johar. She said that Kamaal R Khan (KRK) had stated that she has been 'exposed' after Love Aaj Kal. 

    She said, “Oh, I think Mr Kamaal R Khan said that I have been exposed after Love Aaj Kal. That was pretty rude. He also said… never mind.” 
    During the chat show, Sara was also asked about the guys she would like to have on her Swayamvar. She immediately named Ranveer Singh, Vicky Kaushal, Vijay Deverakonda and Varun Dhawan.

    When Karan pointed out that their wives are watching, Sara quipped that she hopes the husbands are watching as well.

    Love Aaj Kal was a reboot of Imtiaz Ali’s own 2009 film of the same name starring Sara’s father Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone. 
    The movie had created a huge buzz before its release due to the pairing of Kartik and Sara who were rumoured to be dating at that time. However, the film was criticised for its narrative and performances.

    The Indian cricket team are preparing to have their first of three Test matches against South Africa from December 26th while spending time at the Johannesburg resort, where they have been stationed for the entirety of their stay while in the country.

    However, even before the first match begins, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have dropped a major development regarding the surge in Omicron variant cases within South Africa which might suggest a not-so-happy ending for the series, regardless of how well the Men in Blue play.

    According to media reports, the Indian cricket board has taken a “guarantee” from Cricket South Africa (CSA) that the team and the coaching staff will be allowed to leave the country in a hurry if the COVID-19 situation continues to worsen during their time there.
    Dr. Shuaib Manjra, the CSA's top medical officer, said that the South African government had received the news and pledged that the Indian team would be allowed to leave the country even if the borders were closed.

    This would obviously mean that the chances of India’s tour of the Proteas getting called off midway are really high considering the fact that about 35,000 people per one million people in South Africa are infected with the pandemic virus and also because the Omicron variant is more contagious and likely to reinfect than its predecessor, the Delta variant.
    Despite the loss against the New Zealand squad in the World Test Championship final in England earlier this year, the past couple of years have been incredible for Virat Kohli and his Test cricket team, Defeating Australia after 33 years at the Gabba and winning the Border-Gavaskar trophy Down Under for the second consecutive time were India’s biggest achievement during this run in the longest format of the game.

    For the longest time, I would think that the most bitter people you’d come across in your life, would be your exes. That probably no one else would have so much to comment, complain about or even bitch about than your ex-partner who would be butt-hurt and just finding an outlet for all those mixed emotions. 
    But obviously, I was wrong. Because sometimes, the bitter one is not your ex but everyone else - like the mindless trolls who would come at you for no good reason.

    As has been the case with actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who, ever since her split with actor Naga Chaitanya, has been at the brunt of public scrutiny and the butt of several distasteful jokes and trolling. 

    Despite the two stars being amicable about the divorce, trolls have been relentless at blaming Samantha and pulling her name through the mud. Just like this one user on Twitter who stooped to the level of insinuating Samantha to be a gold-digger.

    He wrote, “@Samanthaprabhu2 is a divorced ruined second-hand item who has 50 crores tax-free money robbed from a gentleman!” 

    Not only was the troll harsh and sticking his nose where it didn't belong, but he was also uninformed because, during the time of settlement of the divorce, the actress straight up refused to take any alimony from Chaitanya or his family.
    Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who was being offered Rs, 200 crores as alimony said no to the money because she had anyway worked hard to make her way to the top and didn't feel the need to take money from anyone, reports stated.

    Director Aanand L Rai is gearing up for the release of Atrangi Re starring Akshay Kumar, Dhanush, and Sara Ali Khan in lead roles. The much-awaited film is all set to premiere on Disney+Hotstar on December 24. While the trailer has received a positive response, moviegoers are still skeptical about Sara's pairing with Akshay. However, did you know that Akshay wasn't the first choice for the role he's playing? 
    According to the latest reports, Rai was initially in talks with two superstars before finalising Akshay for the role and one of them was Salman Khan. Yes, you read that right!
    Revealing the same, a source told Bollywood Hungama, "The soul of Atrangi Re, lies in the concept of desirable men and hence, the first actor that came in Rai's mind to play the role of a desirable magician turned lover was Salman Khan. While the superstar loved the concept, things didn't fall in place for reasons best known to the two".
    Rai had multiple meetings with Hrithik Roshan as well for the role. He was about to sign the film, however, said no at the last moment. Finally, after two rejections, the director went to Akshay who gave his nod to the role. The duo hit it off well during the shoot and are now doing Gorkha and Raksha Bandhan together. 
    For the unversed, the story of Atrangi Re revolves around Rinku, played by Sara, who is forcefully married to Vishnu (Dhanush). However, both of them realise that they don't love each other and will go their separate ways after reaching Delhi. Soon, they both started liking each other but the entry of Sajad (Akshay Kumar), Rinku's lover, changes everything. As suggested in the trailer, Rinku will be seen caught between her past and present and likes both Sajad and Vishnu. 

    Though the film was initially supposed to release in theatres, the makers finally decided to opt for a direct-to-digital release.

    As India gear up for a challenging Test series against South Africa, batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar has shared a great piece of advice to the Indian batters. The legendary batter was confident that if Kohli and his men took care of these two aspects of their game, they would pose a great threat to the Proteas famed bowling attack.
    Speaking on ‘Backstage With Boria’ show, the ‘Master Blaster’ said that from a technical point of view the most important thing for the Indian batters would be their front foot defence and if they mastered that, they would have given themselves a great chance to succeed in those alien conditions.

    According to Tendulkar, another important thing that could determine the outcome of the game is how the Indian batters negate the new ball in the opening 25 overs, just like KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma did in England earlier this year.

    Even when the opening pair didn’t score enough runs in the opening session, the longer the two players stayed at the crease it helped India’s cause a great deal.

    “I’ve always said, front foot defence is important. Upfront, front foot defence is important. And that front foot defence is going to count here. The first 25 overs, front foot defence is going to be critical,” Tendulkar told journalist Boria Majupmdar on his YouTube channel.
     “And that is what we got to see in England when Rahul got those runs and so did Rohit. Their front foot defence was solid,” he added.

    However, the biggest worry for India is that Rohit, who showed great application in English conditions and played a key role in the side’s success, is not part of this series. Just before leaving for the tour, the Mumbai batter pulled up his hamstring during training and was ruled out of the whole red-ball series at the eleventh hour.

    In his absence, the responsibility of giving India the ideal start would lie on the shoulders of Karnataka duo of KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal. While the former missed the home Test series against New Zealand, the latter found his mojo back as he scored a brilliant hundred and a fifty in the second Test and even won the Player of the Match award.
