    We are knocking on the doors of 2022 and we already have a perfect thriller for you which will be streaming on Netflix from January 14 onwards. When you have talented actors like Tahir Raj Bhasin and Shweta Tripathi on board, you can surely expect a roller-coaster ride. The first teaser of Netflix’s new thriller Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein is out and we are impressed. 
    It’s a twisted love story with underlying themes of an identity crisis, fate, and a cobweb of lies. It starts like a normal love story but soon turns into a thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat. 
    Bhasin plays Vikrant, a simple man who falls for fellow college student Shikha (Shweta), who reciprocates his love. Enters his childhood friend Purva (Anchal Singh) who is crazily in love with Vikrant and can go to any level to get him. 
    Here’s the teaser: 

    The official synopsis of the thriller reads, “A romantic simpleton, Vikrant, becomes an object of desire for Purva, who will go to any lengths to get him. As Purva’s ruthless efforts to make him hers begin to destroy all that he holds dear, the mild-mannered Vikrant finds a new side to him emerging. In order to escape Purva’s clutches and reclaim his life with his true love, Shikha, he goes down a dark path only to regret it later in this pulpy thriller.”
    The teaser also uses the popular 90's track, 'Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein', which adds to the mystery quotient of the series. 
    Set in the fictional town of Onkara, the psychological drama also features Saurabh Shukla, Surya Sharma, Brijendra Kala, Arunoday Singh, Anant Joshi, Sunita Rajwar, and Hetal Gada. Written by director Sengupta, Anahata Menon, and Varun Badola, the show will look at themes of love and power mingling with crime and desire.
    The teaser has already piqued the interest of the viewers and they are recommending it to others. People found the story plot really captivating and are also impressed by the cast.

    Actor R Madhavan and author Chetan Bhagat recently got indulged in a nasty Twitter war. It all started when Netflix India, in a tweet, shared "Let's settle this. Books > Movies or Movies > Books?". Replying to the post, the author wrote, "My books, and the movies based on them". Madhavan quote-tweeted Bhagat's post and shared that he prefers movies over books.

    The 47-year-old author then asked the actor if he has ever heard anyone saying "the movie is better than the book?" to which Madhavan replied, "YES! 3 Idiots".

    Well, this comment didn't go too well with the author for obvious reasons. Bhagat then asked Madhavan if he's "flaunting 3 Idiots to him” and suggested the actor to actually read his books.

    Taking a dig at the author, Madhavan asked if he is partial towards books then why did he act in Decoupled. Sarcastically replying to the tweet, Chetan said, "HAHAHAHAHA, what an unsubtle plug, maybe it's just me, I prefer a Pulitzer over a pan masala branded award show".

    If you're thinking that their war of words ended right here, well, you're wrong. Continuing the Twitter banter, Madhavan further said that he'll prefer the 300 crore club instead of a bestseller. While the author replied, he'll prefer being known as Chetan Bhagat and not as "Farhan from that one movie".

    Isn't it nasty? Giving a befitting reply, the actor said he is also known as Manu (from Tanu Weds Manu), Kartikh (from Alaipayuthey), and Maddy (from Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein). At last, the author complimented Madhavan that he'd have passed, if this was his writing test. Chetan further asked the actor to share his honest opinions about his Netflix debut.

    By now, you must have already guessed that it was just a gimmick for their recently-released Netflix show Decoupled. If you haven't watched the series yet, let us tell you that Chetan Bhagat too has made his acting debut with the show. In the web series, Madhavan's character is the second-best-selling author in India while Chetan plays himself. Both of them are seen constantly competing with each other in the show. 

    For the unversed, Decoupled is now streaming on Netflix and also features Surveen Chawla and Apara Jariwala in important roles.

    There's no doubt that Nora Fatehi has become one of the most desirable actresses in Bollywood after she rose to fame with the remake of Dilbar Dilbar song that featured in Satyamev Jayate. Nora collaborated with Guru Randhawa for his new track ‘Dance Meri Rani’, which released today. The song features Nora as a mermaid and Guru is seen as an explorer. The song has been sung by Guru and Zahrah S Khan.

    The video opens with Nora lying on the beach like a mermaid and she turns into a woman being touched by Guru. To make it more cringey and unbearable, she starts to dance like Shakira. For those who have loved Guru and heard him for years, this song is nowhere close to his old songs and it might not impress you.

    If you think we are of this opinion the song is cringeworthy, we have the consent of the viewers who have also found the song to be unbearable. People think Guru has taken inspiration from Tony Kakkar as the lyrics are crappy and they aren’t even impressed with Nora’s dance moves either.

    Talking about the song, Guru Randhawa said in a statement, “With ‘Dance Meri Rani’ we are getting into a new zone of music and introducing people to Afro beats. It’s a foot-tapping number that has been picturized very interestingly. This is definitely something new for audiences to look out for. With Nora, one can expect a lot of glitz and glamour.”

    Nora added, “As an artist, I always strive to deliver diverse content that impresses the audience. The public today is very aware, so it is very important that we treat them with something new and interesting always. I’m grateful to all the love people across the world showered on ‘Nach Meri Rani’ and I felt responsible to my audience to take ‘Dance Meri Rani’ one step higher, and hence, we have ensured to present an amalgamation of cultures, aesthetics and foot-tapping tunes making the song audio as well as a visual treat.”

    Talking about the choreography, Bosco Leslie Martis said, “The visuals in the song are absolutely stunning. We really wanted to push the envelope with this one, both in terms of the visuals and the choreography. We’ve also introduced a new dance style in ‘Dance Meri Rani’ so audiences have a lot to look forward to with this track.”

    Nora Fatehi is a professional belly dancer and her moves have been compared to Colombian pop star Shakira many times who is well-known for the dance art. 
    However, this time, the 'Dilbar' fame is being called desi Shakira not just for her dance but also for her look in the latest music video

    Guru Randhawa’s ‘Dance Meri Rani’, a sequel video to hit song ‘Naach Meri Rani’ (also featuring Nora) dropped today and fans can’t help but notice the striking similarity between Shakira and Nora’s get-up in the video.

    Nora has long, blonde curls just like the ‘Waka Waka’ star and even the costume in the video reminded fans of Shakira’s look. 

    Was it on purpose or just a fluke? We can’t say for sure but did pull off a Shakira-inspired look to the T in the video.

    However, a few of the fans aren’t quite impressed with her copying the look. While some criticised the look saying it’s a bad attempt at copying the Hollywood singer, others questioned the need to play the desi Shakira.

    A user wrote, “Arey hair style copy kiya Shakira ka.. to kam se kam dress to copy na karte yaar... Gajab bejjati hai.. (You copied Shakira's hairstyle, you shouldn't have copied her dress at least… what an insult).” Another commented Nora, “Palika Bazaar copy of Shakira.”

    Some were okay with the look and found it amusing, but said the song didn't match its prequel and wasted a talent like Nora. They even praised her dance but said the song failed at impressing.  

    A user wrote, “Nora looks amazing as always but the song is a total fail! Nora is wasted on it!” Someone also commented on Nora’s Instagram post, “You killed it but the song is trash.”

    It’s definitely not easy to impress the fans and seems like ‘Dance Meri Rani’ gained a few dislikes for the look and the music. However, the chemistry between Guru Randhawa and Nora and his voice and her moves are being loved by fans.

    With only days left in the start of the Test series against India, hosts South Africa suffered a huge blow as their pace sensation Anrich Nortje was ruled out of the whole series due to injury. 
    According to a media statement released by Cricket South Africa (CSA), the speedster hasn’t been able to recuperate from a “persistent” hip injury, which has kept him out of action since the T20 World Cup, held in the UAE.

    “Proteas bowler, Anrich Nortje, has been ruled out of the three-match, Betway Test series against India, due to a persistent injury. He has unfortunately not recovered adequately for the expected Test match bowling loads and is currently consulting with specialists to manage and advise on his recovery. No replacement will be brought in,” CSA said in its media statement.
    Nortje has only played 12 Test matches for his country so far but has picked up 47 wickets, with 25 of them coming in this year alone. Despite being fairly new to the international circuit, Nortje has taken to the world stage like duck to water and established himself as one the most lethal fast bowlers on the planet.

    Bollywood is a land where for all the money and the fame, there is crazy competition for places.

    No matter if you're a struggling actor, a few movies old, or a well-established one who has cemented his or her place in the industry, the rules are the same for all - rest easy and fear being left behind.
    This is the reason why, despite so many actors working together, you don't get to see all actors being friends with each and every one.
    While it is understandable as these things happen in almost every other industry, Bollywood rivalries can sometimes be a notch higher.
    One such rivalry is the one between Bollywood super actresses Kareena Kapoor Khan and Priyanka Chopra Jonas.
    The two actually acted for the first time together in the Akshay Kumar starrer Aitraaz way back in 2004.

    Now, while the two had a good working relationship during the shooting of the movie, things started falling apart due to there being a sense of rivalry and competition.

    As per sources quoted by ETimes, “During the Aitraaz days, Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra, who were virtually of the same age, hit it off beautifully. There was no rivalry between the two and even after work, Priyanka used to hang out at parties with Shahid Kapoor and Kareena.
    “It hit Kareena like a bolt from the blue when her friend turned out to be an able competitor. Kareena had worked extremely hard on the role and had launched a power-packed performance. But for the first time in her career, it had gone largely unnoticed, thanks to Priyanka.”
    However, as per ETimes sources, things really escalated while they were doing a concert together in Antwerp, Belgium.
    “They had a huge fight and were screaming at each other. In fact, they almost came to blows. They had to be literally pulled apart.” said sources.
    According to reports, the two actors were then supposed to be a part of a Shah Rukh Khan Pepsi ad, where the makers of the ad were advised to give them separate spaces.

    According to the same sources, Kareena and Priyanka also had another moment of rivalry when Priyanka was cast in Farhan Akhtar's Don starring Shah Rukh, whereas Kareena did the 'Yeh Mera Dil' song.

    "She (Kareena) was tempted by the popularity of the track. Also, she didn’t want to turn down Farhan who she realizes is close to Shah Rukh. But she clearly wasn’t too happy that Priyanka, a once lesser star, was now the unparalleled female lead of the film.” said the sources.
    Regardless of the past incidents, it is reported that the two actors are now friends and have a good working relationship as well, having even appeared on Karan Johar's show Koffee With Karan together.

    Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Monday in the Panama Papers leak case. Her name was featured in the list of 500 Indians who were named in the Panama Papers in which 11.5 million tax documents were leaked, exposing several world leaders and celebrities who had allegedly stashed away money abroad in offshore companies.
    The probe agency recorded her statement over claims she parked her money in a company based in the British Virgin Islands. As per sources in the NDTV report, she had been summoned earlier but twice sought more time. The Enforcement Directorate started investigating the allegations in 2017.

    According to reports, the officials said she was questioned for about six hours. The actor then left the ED office at around 7 pm yesterday but what followed her exit was horrendous. As she was heading towards her car, she was literally mobbed by people and the paparazzi that were stationed outside the office.

    It’s sad to see how people are okay with the fact she was literally struggling to get to her car. Despite all the claims and controversies, she shouldn’t be objected to such harassment as she is entitled to her safety. People bashed her for creating a fake aura about her in public. People also called the family of Bachchans a family of thieves. We are glad that people also called out this cheap behaviour by the paps and onlookers present there.

    In an earlier interview with CNN-News18's Rajeev Masand, Aishwarya addressed the trolls and said, “I look at it as an insight into minds. At the end of the day, it's an insight into some kind of psychology or what's really going on or how people think.” 

    She has often been trolled for being an overprotective mother to Aaradhya. About getting trolled for always being by her daughter's side, she said, “I react (when cameras come too close). If my arm is around Aaradhya, people will say the mother is very clingy. I hear all this when it is already a couple of days later so it is kind of over. I don’t let it define me. I don’t change how I take care of Aaradhya or how I define myself based on all of this. Judge me for it but I will love her, embrace her. She is my daughter."

    That’s the short version of the story of 21-year-old Harnaaz Sandhu who recently won India an honour by becoming the Miss Universe 2021 and bringing the title back home after 21 long years.

    From standing her ground to giving an answer that set the stage on fire, Harnaaz gracefully made her way to the top to now become the Miss Universe. 

    And while people may have already satiated their thirst to know more about who she is and where she’s from, the question that is being asked now is what next.
