    One of the biggest stars of the 80s-90s era was Govinda. The hardworking guy who made it to the top signed movies, found success and made money like no one’s business. His pairing with actress Neelam became a big hit and their on-screen chemistry soon translated into off-screen, after they were rumored to be in love and were reportedly dating.


    They worked in over 14 films together and it was a known fact in the industry circle that he was head over heels in love with the actress. The affair had an abrupt sad ending because Govinda’s marriage to Sunita was kept as a secret, and his lady love Neelam had no idea about it.
    In an old interview with a magazine, he had honestly opened up about the situation and how he could not destroy his marriage or marry Neelam.
    “I was very conscious of her (Neelam). Of the difference in our backgrounds and upbringing. But gradually, we crossed these obstacles, and I started opening up. I would play pranks, crack jokes and she would laugh. We became friends. And we had so many films together. We met so often and the more I got to know her, the more I liked her. There was dignity in her. A kind of piousness in her eyes. And strength of character. There was no vulgarity about her, no loudness. She was the kind of woman any man would have lost his heart to. I lost mine.”

    He spoke about how he never intended to get committed to his wife when they met. “I had never meant to get so seriously involved with Sunita. I was looking for a girl to go around with. I had signed a few films by then, and one day, my elder brother Kirti came to visit me on my sets. I had to do a romantic scene, but couldn't bring myself to do it. I felt very uncomfortable and awkward holding a girl in my arms. So, later, my brother told me, ‘Why don't you have an affair just to get some experience of romance? You'll at least learn how to hold a girl in your arms'. At that point in time, I met Sunita. I admit that my involvement with her was a totally calculated move on my part. And I paid a heavy price for it”, he said.

    He then confessed about keeping his marriage a secret and how it affected his equation with Neelam. “My mother wanted me to officially marry Sunita - we'd had one ceremony in the mandir. For that matter, we were husband and wife. But I had not disclosed publicly my marriage to Sunita because I felt it would affect my career. Neither did Neelam know about it. She got to know only after a year. I probably did not tell her because I did not want to break this successful screen pair. And to be honest, to a certain extent, I did exploit my personal relationship with Neelam for professional ends. I played dirty with her. I should have told her that I was married."

    The actor obviously went back to his wife and they have two children together.

    Ravichandran Ashwin is arguably the best spinner in the world at the moment and his stats are insane. Despite being one of the best performers in the side, the veteran off-spinner was, for some reason, neglected by the team management and dropped on the bench whenever played away from home.
    There was a time between 2018 and 2020 when the Chennai-born finger-spinner got so fed up with being ignored time and again that he started contemplating retiring from cricket altogether. This was also the period where he was coping with multiple injuries and that is when doubts started to creep into his mind about his imminent future.

    “Between 2018 and 2020, I contemplated giving up the sport at various points. I thought, 'I have put in a lot of effort, but it is not coming through.' The harder I tried, the farther it felt. Especially with athletic pubalgia and the patellar tendonitis - I used to bowl six balls and then I used to be gasping for breath. And there would be pain all over the place. So you needed to make adjustments,” Ashwin told ESPNCrininfo. 
    Ashwin, who recently surpassed Harbhajan Singh to become India’s third most successful Test bowler, said that when he was trying to recover and make a comeback after the injury, the people weren’t “sensitive enough” towards his injuries and doubted his commitment.

    The 35-year-old spin wizard also blamed the team management for backing other players and leaving him on his own despite him performing at the highest level for so many years and winning countless matches for the country. 
    “I contemplated retirement for a lot of reasons. I felt like people were not sensitive enough to my injuries. I felt like a lot of people were backed, why not me? I have done no less. I have won a lot of games for the team, and I am not feeling backed,” said Ashwin.

    “Just after the England series in 2018, after Southampton, was one phase. Again in Australia later that year where I tore my abdomen after the Adelaide Test, before and after Sydney. Many stages,” he added. 
    Ashwin didn’t mention any names but it was pretty clear that he was talking about Test skipper Kohli and former head coach Ravi Shastri, who were responsible for making all the decisions in the last four-five years.

    The off-spinner felt that one thought that always baffled him was that the management backed a lot of players but him. Despite being one of the leading spinners in world cricket, those in the decision-making positions didn’t appreciate him enough and never gave him the respect that he deserved. 
    When India toured England earlier this year, the off-spinner didn’t get to play a single Test match, with Ravindra Jadeja making the starting XI ahead of his senior pro. The fans and experts all around the world were astonished to see Ashwin warming the bench but Kohli and Shastri ignored all of them.

    Despite being treated indifferently, Ashwin fought his own battles and was able to make a comeback to India’s limited-overs set-up for the first time in four years. 
    The new white-ball skipper Rohit Sharma has described the spinner as an integral part of plans going forward and we just hope that Ashwin reaches new heights in the coming months and proves his critics wrong.

    Samantha Ruth Prabhu is making headlines ever since her song Oo Antava Oo Oo Antava from Allu Arjun's latest release Pushpa was unveiled. She is looking her best in the item number and fans are just loving her sexy avatar in it. Taking to social media, Samantha posted a still from the song and thanked fans for showering their love on her as well as the song. 

    In the picture, she is looking absolutely stunning and is seen shaking legs with Allu Arjun. Talking about the song, in the caption, she revealed that "being sexy" for Oo Antava Oo Oo Antava was "next level hard work" for her.  
    Giving a sassy reply to haters, she wrote, "I played good, I played bad, I was funny, I was serious, I was a chat show host too. I work really hard to excel at everything that I take up ...but being sexy is next level hard work....phew #ooantavaooooantava Thank you for the love".

    Well, after watching the song, we can just say that her hard work has totally paid off as she is looking absolutely gorgeous. But, did you know that Samantha had initially rejected the song? Yes, you read that right! 
    Reportedly, the actress initially thought of refusing the offer. However, she considered it after Pushpa director Sukumar gave her the example of Rangasthalam, Pooja Hegde’s dance number. 
    While fans are loving the song, it is also getting criticism from a section of the audience. A case has recently been registered against the song for portraying men as lustful through the lyrics. The lawsuit, filed in the Andhra Pradesh court, had asked for a ban on the song. 
    Basking in the success of Oo Antava Oo Oo Antava and The Family Man 2, Samantha is in a great phase of her career. As per the latest buzz, she is all set to make her Bollywood debut with an upcoming women-centric film, produced by Taapsee Pannu. Not many details are yet out and an official announcement is still awaited.

    Shilpa Shetty recently took to Instagram and shared a video featuring her India’s Got Talent co-judges Kirron Kher, Badshah and Manoj Muntashir. 
    In the video, Shilpa is seen asking Kirron Kher to comment on Badshah’s new Lamborghini. She responded, “Lamborghini kharidi itni badi (He bought a Lamborghini this big).”

    She then added that Badshah’s driver was unable to start his Lamborghini that led to a long queue of cars outside Yash Raj Films. 

    She said, “Yeh toh chaabi band karke chala gaya upar. Chala kar aaya tha. Iske driver ko chaabi lagani nahi aarahi. Is gate se leke Yash Raj ke bahar ke gate tak gaadiyon ki line lagi hai. Kyun? Kyunki Badshah ji ki nayi Lamborghini aage nahi jahari. Wah kya baat hai. (He came upstairs after turning off the ignition. He drove his car till here. His driver was unable to start the car. There was a long queue from here till Yash Raj's gate. Why? Because Badshah's new Lamborghini wasn't moving forward. Wow)”. 
    Badshah who was hysterically laughing at Kirron’s narrations, responded with an apology. He said with his folded hands, “Sorry, sorry.”

    Kirron then turned to lyricist Manoj Muntashir and pulled him up for his photoshoots on India’s Got Talent sets. She said, “Woh rang birange suit o waale humare writer (There's our writer in colourful suits).”

    She continued, “Subah aate hi inhonein photo sesison kiya. Shilpaji aapne kya kiya hoga photo session (The first thing he did in the morning was his photo session. Shilpa, you can't compete with his photo session)?”
    She further added how he got his pictures clicked in different poses and said, “Oye professional model thak jaaye (A professional model will get tired).”

    Shilpa then asked Manoj if he had any response to Kirron’s accusations, he replied, “Bolti Band (I am dumbfounded).” 

    Kirron also talked about how she and Shilpa are quick in getting ready for the shoot, unlike their male counterparts.
