    Oscar-nominated actor James Franco, who is known for his performances in the Spider-Man franchise, 127 Hours among other films, has opened up for the first time, around four years after being accused of sexual misconduct by five women at his acting school (now-defunct). He has now admitted sleeping with students of his acting school while teaching and "that was wrong".
    Revealing the same recently, in SiriusXM’s The Jesse Cagle podcast, the 43-year-old actor also shared that he struggled with a *** addiction and is working continuously to improve his behaviour. Reportedly, he had developed a *** addiction after becoming sober from an alcohol addiction, developed at a young age. 
    According to Reuters, in the podcast, he said, "I suppose at the time, my thinking was if it’s consensual, OK. At the time I was not clearheaded” adding that he was not running the acting school for that purpose.
    Talking about his *** addiction, during the podcast, James shared that it became worse with time. "It’s (***) such a powerful drug. I got hooked on it for 20 more years. The insidious part of that is that I stayed sober from alcohol all that time,” the actor further said. 
    Since 2016, the Rise of the Planet of the Apes star has been recovering from *** addiction and is changing who he was. 
    Now, since he does not want to hurt people, James revealed that he has been working upon himself ever since the allegations were leveled against him.
    For the unversed, in October 2019, two ex-students had filed a civil suit against the actor accusing him of exploiting aspiring actors at his acting school. Franco had initially denied the allegations, however, later agreed to settle the suit filed against him by paying $2.2 million. 
    On the film front, he made his acting debut with Never Been Kissed in 1999 and went on to feature in various memorable films. In 2011, he co-hosted the Oscar Awards and got nominated at the 2012 ceremony in the Best Actor category for his performance in 127 Hours.

    It has been a couple of weeks since Indian cricket found itself to be divided among two halves, each siding with either the BCCI president Sourav Ganguly or the Test captain of the Indian cricket team, Virat Kohli, on the matter of how Kohli’s leadership in ODI cricket was taken away from him. 
    Before leaving for South Africa for a three-Test series followed by as many ODIs, Kohli was a part of a press conference in which he said a few things that were in complete contrast with what Ganguly had said just a couple of days before.

    One of the biggest discussions that have been revolving around the two sides was the matter of how the BCCI dealt with Kohli’s decision to step down as the T20I captain of the Men in Blue back in September 2021.
    While Ganguly maintained that he had made a “personal request” to Kohli to rethink his decision to quit and remain the leader in the shortest format of the game, the 33-year-old said that the entire BCCI organisation was absolutely fine with his call to quit captaincy and focus on becoming a better batter. 
    He emphasised that the Indian cricket board had welcomed this call with open arms too.

    During an interview at Samaa TV, Afridi said that he felt as if the matter could have been handled in a better manner by the BCCI and that the selection committee should have been clearer in their communication about their plans with regards to any individual player. 
    Afridi further added that talking about such important things in media may not be the most effective way to find a solution and that talking “face-to-face” might be the better approach to follow for proper and non-controversial end results.

    Saregama Music released its latest song on Wednesday, titled Madhuban, which features Sunny Leone. It’s sung by Kanika Kapoor and Arindam Chakraborty. Well, it’s touted as the party anthem of 2021 and 2022 by the makers and it’s based on ‘Madhuban Mein Radhika Naache’ by Mohammad Rafi in the 1960 movie Kohinoor. 

    As per the PR handout, Sunny Leone said in a statement, “I have been lucky that the audience has loved all my songs in which I have also showcased my dancing and this one kicks it up a notch. Madhuban has got immense love from the fans on social media. It’s great to be a part of a song that will bid adieu to 2021 in style and welcome 2022 with a bang.”
    “Sunny has made the song look so beautiful. Singing this song was so much fun. It’s high on energy and a super dance number. I am so glad about the response the song has already received,” Kanika Kapoor added.

    As the song is based on the Hindu Gods Lord Krishna and Devi Radha Ma, people are not okay with the sensuous moves of Sunny Leone in the song. The song portrays the love Krishna and Radha had for each other. People will not tolerate Bollywood mocking the Hindu religion again and again. They think Bollywood does it because Hindus are the soft targets and this time they will not let the music makers defame Hindu Gods.

    One of the Twitter users wrote, “Everybody should Report this song for defaming Devi Radha Nobody has the right to denigrate her love for Lord Krishna. We Hindus will not tolerate such denigration. @TwitterIndia remove this song immediately.” They are reporting the song on YouTube and want the social media platforms to ban it.

    The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has the biggest tournament of the year coming up in the Indian Premier League (IPL) but the rise in COVID-19 cases, especially with the Omicron variant, across the nation, may throw a wrench in their plans.
    According to media reports, the Indian cricket board will be contacting all 10 franchises in order to hold a meeting and discussing an alternative plan of carrying out the tournament in case the pandemic once again gets out of hand.
    The BCCI to hold a meeting next month with IPL franchises owners to discuss the alternate plans for IPL 2022. Orginal plan is to schedule the IPL in India on home and away basis. (Reported by Cricbuzz).

    The 2020 season of the IPL took place in the United Arab Emirates from start to finish and it was the second half of the 2021 season that had to be moved to the Middle East due to the breach in the bio-bubble in India in the first half.
    However, ahead of the 2022 season, there are no plans of taking the league matches away from Indian soil, even if the number of pandemic cases rise.
    So what would BCCI’s ‘Plan B’ For IPL 2022 Look Like?According to multiple IPL franchise officials, chances are that if the Omicron variant all over the country rise at a rampant pace, the entire IPL might take place in just Mumbai and Pune or in the Gujarat cities of Ahmedabad, Rajkot and Baroda.

    But while IPL 2022 is scheduled to take place from April 2, 2022, there is yet another massive event that the BCCI will be conducting on the 7th and 8th of February - the IPL 2022 Mega Auction. With the introduction of two new franchises and almost 90% of the league players available for the auction pool, the face and culture of multiple franchises may take a huge overhaul.
    While some of the more successful teams such as Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians would look to maintain their dominance, franchises such as Royal Challengers Bangalore and Punjab Kings, who haven’t won a single title so far, would wish to add power players to their rosters with the hopes to taking a renewed shot at the IPL trophy.

    The captain of the Indian cricket team in Test matches, Virat Kohli has been going through a tough phase in which officials around him are angry with his behaviour, his role as the captain of the ODI squad was taken away from him and every single day more and more issues get added to his ledger while he only wishes to focus on his performance as a player and help his side win a series in South Africa.
    Amid the extremely tense situation around him, the 33-year-old cricketer decided to make things “lighter” by answering some of the questions his fans wonder on a regular basis and he did so in a rather unique voice.

    In the video he shared from his social media accounts, Kohli could be seen with a helium balloon in his hands while sitting on a chair and every time an off-camera person asked him a fan’s question, he had to inhale the gas before answering it. 
    Inhaling helium has become an extremely popular source of entertainment and celebrities from all over the world have been doing so in talk shows and YouTube videos.
    But when Kohli did so, the voice that came out of him even caught him by surprise and the skipper started laughing at himself uncontrollably.

    He also clarified that he was not an actor in the Netflix show Money Heist and that the main character in the series, ‘the Professor’ simply looks a lot like him.

    Recently, Ranveer and Deepika were in Dubai to promote their film. However, the two were massively trolled on social media for their outfits. 

    Besides Ranveer, Deepika and other cast members of the film, the 83 premiere also saw the presence of Vivek Oberoi, Alia Bhatt, Rohit Shetty, Janhvi Kapoor and Ayan Mukerji among others. 
    Directed by Kabir Khan, 83 is based on the Indian Cricket Team’s triumph at the 1983 World Cup. 
    The movie stars Ranveer in the role of Kapil Dev, Tahir Raj Bhasin as Sunil Gavaskar, Saqib Saleem as Mohinder Amarnath, Pankaj Tripathi as PR Man Singh, Boman Irani as Farokh Engineer and Deepika Padukone as Romi Bhatia.

Directed by Aanand L Rai, Atrangi Re has created a good buzz and the trailer too has received a positive response.     To promote the film, Dhanush and Sara recently appeared on Koffee Shots With Karan where they had a great time together. Hosted by Karan Johar, the special episode saw both the stars at their candid best. During the rapid-fire round, the Karnan actor was asked to choose the better co-star between Sara and Sonam Kapoor. 
    Without any hesitation, Dhanush took Sonam's name. Sara, who was sitting next to him, gave an interesting reaction to this answer. She said, "Wow, not offensive at all. I'm losing my hamper, I am losing my...".

    Explaining the reason, he shared that Sonam was his first co-star in Bollywood and will always be special to him. He also praised Sara adding that it was fun to work with her.  
    Dhanush expressed, "Not taking away the kindness, sweetness, fun (that) Sara (brought) on the sets of Atrangi Re, Sonam because she was very special, she was my first co-star in Hindi films and a guy from the south coming here, and she made me feel very comfortable and very kind to me. I am very grateful for that", he mentioned in an interview. 
    Well, that is quite an honest answer. For the unversed, Dhanush made his Bollywood debut opposite Sonam in 2013 hit Raanjhanaa, also directed by Rai.

    Coming back to Atrangi Re, it revolves around Sara's character, Rinku, who is forcefully married to Vishnu (played by Dhanush). After realizing that they don't want to be together, both of them decide to part ways after reaching Delhi. Soon, they start liking each other, however, the entry of Rinku's lover Sajad (Akshay Kumar) changes the whole dynamic. As shown in the trailer, Rinku will be caught between both of them.

    Initially, the movie was supposed to release on the big screen, however, the makers finally decided to release it digitally.
