We live in an age where memes really showcase what people think of the world, probably in the form of a satire. Now, while there are memes about almost everything, one thing that is often talked about is how Amazon's billionaire founder Jeff Bezos looks sort of like the evil mastermind who is waiting to take over the world.
© Twitter
I mean, no offense to him, but his overall look coupled with his laughter really put him right next to Lex Luthor, the super-rich arch-nemesis of Superman in the DC comics and movies.

Well, right after heading off to space in his own damn rocket, it looks like Bezos' Amazon has come out with the world's first household robot, 'Astro'.
© Amazon
The wheeled robot looks similar to Disney Pixar's Wall-E robot and has been designed to carry out tasks that include home monitoring, setting up routines, and reminders. It also boasts the ability to play music, TV shows and has digital eyes on a rotating screen mounted on wheels.
This means that the damn thing can follow you everywhere around the house. Hmmm? The world domination thing just got a little serious.
Dave Limp, the head of Amazon’s devices, while speaking at a company event on Tuesday (September 28), said, “If you are doing a video call, Astro will move around with you in the house, so you can continue the conversation.”
The Amazon Astro can be sent remotely to check up on specific rooms, people, or things; it works in tandem with Alexa, it features a screen panel as a face with eyes, and it even has an optional cup holder. https://t.co/f3RTvr9K3x pic.twitter.com/HxGYGDRNBL

I mean, it sure looks cute, but would really want a thing with eyes following you around everywhere you go. We are already pretty cautious about the fact that whatever we speak or think about, actually gets displayed on ads. (Come on! I think we've all thought about this.)
Anyway, it's not like Astro is going to come cheap. The robot will be available at an introductory invite-only price of $999.99 (around Rs. 74,190) and a regular price of $1,449.99 (Rs. 1.07 lakh).
Amazon's Vice President Charlie Tritschler, spoke on how everyone at Amazon has been thinking about the possibility of incorporating robots in our own personal rooms. “In one of the senior management meetings, we talked about ‘Does anybody in the room think that in five, 10 years, you’re not going to have robots in your home?’ Everyone was like, ‘Yeah, we are,’” he said.
Well, there are a dozen movies displaying how all of this will be a bad idea. But we all know one thing, right? Humans do never learn.
Jeff Bezos, if you're reading this, 'I See You'. (fin)

Riteish Deshmukh and wife Genelia Deshmukh are hands down among the most adorable couples in Bollywood. They constantly keep giving us couple and relationship goals with their cute posts on social media. And even while tackling trolls, they do it in their own sweet way.
View this post on InstagramRecently, Riteish along with wife Genelia appeared on Arbaaz Khan's talk show, Pinch. As the show’s concept is based on how trolling can affect mental health, Arbaaz reads some nasty comments and actors have to share their opinions on such mean statements.
Arbaaz read out a particularly mean comment about Genelia: “Besharam, cheap, vulgar aunty always overacting. Doesn't suit your age and face especially when you're married and got two kids dadi amma. Even kids will be shocked and embarrassed with all your overacting. They'll be like, ‘Even we don’t act anything like this'.” Reacting to this, Genelia said, “I don't think he's having a good day at home. I hope you're well, Bhai Saab. I hope you're really okay at home.”
Here’s the promo:
Riteish Deshmukh also shared his opinion on not reacting to trolls by adding, “It’s okay for people to comment because you’re putting yourself out there. I don’t think one should really take it as an offense. I always write (to such trollers), love you too my friend.”
Another user asked Riteish to focus more on his wife and the actor had the best response to it. He politely gave it back to the haters who trolled his wife. He said, “Even I want that you should focus on your wife more, rather than mine.” This response proves again why he's one of the most loving husbands in Bollywood and again gave us couple goals.
View this post on InstagramWell, the two were also asked about the famous video wherein Riteish is seen kissing Preity Zinta’s hands and Genelia’s expressions revealed that she probably didn’t approve of it. Reacting to that video, Genelia said, “Riteish and Preity were having a conversation and unfortunately cameraman ne mere expression le liye (the cameraman clicked my expression).” Riteish added that he would do the same for Genelia and kissed her hands.
Genelia did earlier break her silence on her expressions by sharing a fun video in March this year. Genelia captioned the video in sarcasm, "Wanna know what happened back home?" The video shows Riteish greeting Preity on the green carpet at IIFA Awards in September 2019. And then, you can see Riteish is seen having a tough time back at home.
View this post on InstagramWell, Riteish has surely learnt his lesson and hence, he chose to kiss Genelia’s hands in this promo. We are looking forward to watching the whole episode and finding out the details of the incident.

There is a popular saying that people who make others laugh the most are often the ones who are the saddest within.
While no one notices, the most famous comedians like Charlie Chaplin, Jim Carry and Robin Williams have confessed to having depression in their life. Kapil Sharma, who is among the most popular comics on Indian TV, also admitted that he suffered from depression.
© Instagram/Kapil Sharma
His show ‘Comedy Nights With Kapil’ ended abruptly in 2016 despite high TRPs and popularity which left fans devastated and wondering what went wrong.
Well, the reason was that he was battling depression around that time in 2017-2018 and he needed a sabbatical.
However, the comedian says he wasn’t aware of his mental illness and realised it through an unusual incident.
© Instagram/Kapil Sharma
Talking about struggling with depression at an event, he said “So, at that moment, you don’t feel that anything will change because all things seem negative at that time. Don’t know what kind of chemical gets released in your brain that doesn’t allow you to think positively.”
© Instagram/Kapil Sharma
He shared the hilarious way he found out what was exactly wrong and it was media reports that made him realise he was suffering from depression.
“My mother knew nothing about mental illnesses and depression, she is a woman from a small village. Not just her, even I did not have much of an idea about it... Paper walon ka bhala ho jinhone likha ‘Kapil Sharma hue depression ka shikaar’. Mujhe pata chala, accha, ye hai mujhe (Bless those newspaper journalists who wrote ‘Kapil Sharma is a victim of depression’. That’s when I realised what had happened to me’).”

He added that his family and wife Ginni Chatrath supported him through the phase and helped him bounce back.
“But my family gave me strength at the time, especially my wife, Ginni. She knew everything about what was happening in my life. No one else did,” he said.
© Instagram/Kapil Sharma
However, he bounced back and started his show ‘Family Time With Kapil Sharma’ and then ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ which gained the same popularity with the audience and is still going strong.

Priyanka Chopra is now a global star who has not only proved her mettle in Bollywood but has also risen on the ladder of success with some mind-blowing international projects.
However, despite going abroad, Priyanka never left her 'desiness', which is what we witnessed in her recent post.

She boarded a private jet to Spain for her project Citadel, an upcoming spy series that is action-packed and yet, takes one on an emotional ride.
In the picture she shared, the actress is seen sitting in the typical Indian style, crossing her legs in the flight.

Priyanka was seen wearing a black and white striped shirt with beige pants and a brown jacket. However, the way she was sitting grabbed our attention.
As soon as she posted the picture, people started commenting on the post.
One user wrote, “India wale," whereas another one said, “Loved her style of sitting,”.
A third user called the style the most comfortable. “That's the most comfortable way to sit..kudos to you Priyanka..You still are our Desi girl."

This picture was clicked by Dr Madhu Chopra, Priyanka Chopra's mother.
Priyanka's co-star from the series, Citadel, Osy Ikhile, also shared a reel of the same flight.
For the uninitiated, Priyanka also attended the Global Citizen Live Event 2021 and wore a gorgeous, earth-themed outfit. She took to Instagram and shared a few images, standing in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
As for the show, she was one of the hosts, and she posted several BTS clips as well.

Apart from that, Priyanka was also a part of controversy due to the show, The Activist, which didn't go well with the audience, and they called out the makers as well.
After the backlash, there were changes made in the show. Priyanka also took to Instagram and apologised to her fans and followers.

On the work front, Priyanka will star Text For You and Bollywood project Jee Le Zaraa with Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif.

The Indian cricket team is about to go through some major changes in the dressing room and coaching staff in the next few months. One of the biggest developments regarding the Men in Blue is the discussion around who will be appointed as the head coach of the squad after Ravi Shastri declined the news of returning to the position after the T20 World Cup 2021 concludes.
BCCI President Sourav Ganguly had expressed his desire to bring back Anil Kumble as the leader of the coaching staff, however, the rest of the BCCI board members do not share the former Indian skipper’s enthusiasm towards Kumble.
View this post on Instagram
In a conversation with IANS, a senior BCCI board member spoke about why they think having Kumble return as the head coach is not only a bad idea but also highly unlikely.
“Well, neither Kumble wants to return, nor the BCCI officials, other than president Sourav Ganguly, are or were interested. The board is looking for a foreign coach now. Kumble knows that he will have to face the same old team members (Virat Kohli and others in the team), nothing new, then why would he return? And moreover Dada (Ganguly) has recommended his name but other officials expressed their disagreement on it," the official said.
Thank you! pic.twitter.com/eF5qVzdBRj
— Anil Kumble (@anilkumble1074) June 20, 2017
“VVS Laxman also will not be able to get the post. However, there’s still a month left, so let’s see what comes or some change of minds! Also look at Kumble’s record as coach, it is not that impressive. See what is happening with Kings Punjab in IPL," he added.
PBKS, the IPL franchise that is being currently coached by Kumble, has struggled to have any significant impact, despite having one of the most devastating opening duos in the league with KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal and a fierce pacer in Mohammed Shami, leading their bowling attack. At the moment, PBKS is at the sixth spot in the IPL 2021 points table.

Under such circumstances, it is more likely that the Indian cricket board will look to appoint a foreign coach for the job. Earlier this month it was speculated that Mahela Jayawardena was approached by the BCCI for the job. It was alleged that the Sri Lankan had declined the BCCI’s offer stating that he was interested in coaching his own national team, which also allowed him to keep his job as the head coach of the Mumbai Indians.
However, Jayawardena shot down these rumours with a tweet, calling out the baselessness of such an incident.
Was I or did I get interviewed by the indian express?? why @ThePapareSports using my picture for a quote… don’t fall in to the gossip section https://t.co/kqOyThGe9G

Amid the busy and chaotic events of the Indian Premier League 2021, an old video of Virat Kohli has resurfaced on the internet in which the Indian skipper can be seen demanding his trophy in a hurry and rather greedily during the post-match conference.
The video comes from India’s match against Bangladesh in the first-ever pink-ball Test that was played in the country. Kohli had smashed an incredible 136-run innings which had allowed the hosts to win the match by an innings and 46 runs at the Eden Gardens.
lmao pic.twitter.com/2WNBHPM6zv
— RD (@rohaxn_) September 26, 2021
In the video, Kohli could be seen standing next to a guest who was invited to the middle of the field to give away the ‘Swag’ award to Kohli for his exceptional hitting in the match. Every time the cricketer would try to take the award from the guest’s hands, the guest would shake his hand instead.
After shaking his hands twice, Kohli can be seen demanding the award from the guest. After he was finally able to get his hands on the trophy, the skipper could be seen leaking a smile towards the cameras and mocking the guest for pressing the trophy under his armpit, and not giving it away.
Coincidentally, that was the last time Kohli was able to score a century across all formats of the game and has been struggling to get close to the three-digit mark ever since.
Fans are blaming his funny but rude behaviour towards the guest as karma getting back at him:
What's happening with Kohli now is karma hitting back.

— Satvik (@Satvik_one8) September 27, 2021Happens when you feel that you too are an acheiver, deserve an award, deserve attention, but are never given a one!! So you want to grab one even if it is not yours in the first place.

— THEANNUEMPIRE (@theannuempire) September 27, 2021Clearly, the cricketer did not mean to be rude to the presenter and the hilarious moment was completely involuntary. It is also understandable that the guest was a big Virat Kohli fan and that he may have gotten nervous in the excitement of meeting the star in person and getting a picture clicked with him.
A lot has happened to Kohli’s cricketing career since then, and not everything has gone his way to be fair. Struggling with his form for over two years, Kohli decided to announce that he will be stepping down as the Indian captain in T20I cricket after the 2021 World Cup and as the captain of Royal Challengers Bangalore after the 2021 season of the Indian Premier League, in order to manage his workload better and focus on becoming a better batter.
