Neeraj Chopra recently appeared in a Cred Ad and it showcased him in various avatars of a reporter, movie producer and marketing professional among others. The ad soon started to trend and people couldn’t help but obsess over it.
Ayappa KM, director of the commercial for credit card aggregator Cred, told Indian Express, “Neeraj was the opposite of Dravid. Sometimes he would just break out in the middle of a line laughing. He just wanted to have fun, he was chilling and having a great time.”
He also added, “Neeraj has suddenly been thrust into the spotlight at such a young age. Overnight, it’s very hard for most people to know how to react to media. If you see his interviews, his current media presence… But he was very receptive and low maintenance. There was no ego and he immersed himself into the characters.”
Knowing Neeraj’s personality through Ayappa KM, we bet he will enjoy Mayur Jumani’s mashup too.

There used to be a time when 90s kids would enjoy watching television not just because the OG tele-series' back then were absolutely gold, but also because even the ads that would release at the time were fun and catchy.
We are talking about thoughtful jingles, a brilliant mini-movie direction and some really good ideas put behind an advertisement of things that would make all of us fall in love with them.
Here are some of our favourite 90s ads that desperately need to make a comeback, simply because they used to be so much fun:
1. Lehar Pepsi (1989)
When Aamir Khan showed everyone how he was a perfectionist by acting with such grace and conviction even in an ad. With Aishwarya Rai and Mahima Chaudhary, this ad was a total hit!
2. Complan (1999)
Young Ayesha Takia and Shahid Kapoor would come hopping around the screen, advertising Complan as kids and suddenly that’s all that would be the rage.
Now that the two are all grown up, we’d love to see them make a come-back for a Complan reboot!
3. Hero Honda (2003)
Possibly the only actor who looks just as hot now as he did back then, this ad starring Hrithik Roshan where he is simply sitting aside while people dirty his hero honda, used to make our hearts beat faster.
Damn, do we need to see him take more such bikes on a spin in an ad!
4. Coca Cola (2003)
Aamir Khan used to take up a different role and a personality in each ad, giving us the perfect mini anecdote with the tagline - ‘Thanda Bole Toh Coca Cola’. Can we have him back?
5. Cadbury Dairy Milk (1993)
From featuring several big names in their ads and with one coming for every festival, Cadbury ads used to be as sweet as the chocolate itself!
6. Pepsi AD (2003)
Yet another Pepsi ad, however, this one had Shah Rukh Khan and Kareena Kapoor romancing on a boat and then breaking out in a song that looked right out of a movie!
That used to be the stuff, especially when Adnan Sami would be singing along!
7. Hero Honda (Ft. Salman Khan) (1985)
When a young Salman would fasten his helmet and set out riding a Hero Honda with a jingle that was just too catchy. Not to forget every other guy who wanted to go on a ride after watching him!
8. Melody (1994)
The one ad that dates back to the 90s, the eternal “Melody itni chocolaty kyun hai” question that used to be probed in several different ads and scenarios, and make us wonder ourselves. We need those back!
9. Lehar Kurkure (1999)
The snarky jibe at the saas-bahu vibe, Lehar Kurkure ads used to be super fun with their relatable homely banter much before even Juhi Chawla came along!
10. Action School Time Shoes (1990s)
The one ad that would perfectly describe almost every school-going kids’ day at the school, the famous Action Shoes jingle would run in our heads on repeat!
11. Nirma (1982)
And how could we not talk about the one ad that will forever be etched in the minds of every 90s kid ever - Nirma!
Call it the appropriate lyrics or just the tune, but remembering the Nirma ad lyrics used to be a big flex back then.
