    A biotech company that is researching how to reverse the ageing process has received major funding from former Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos. The report comes from MIT Tech Review and says that Altos Labs is a research company that is already hiring scientists with offers of $1 million in annual salaries. 
    MIT Tech Review reports that Bezos was among its investors along with Russian-Israeli billionaire Yuri Milner. The company will also be adding Nobel Prize-winning scientist Shinya Yamanaka to the advisory board. For perspective, Yamanaka has already won a Nobel Prize for research in reversing the age of cells.

    Other scientists that will be joining the company include Juan Carlos Izpisúa Belmonte who has previously worked on pig and human DNA combinations. We still don’t know what Altos Labs is specifically researching and it still remains a mystery. 

    However, from what it looks like, Altos Labs could be working on immortality as biological reprogramming is a practice that aims to reprogram human cells. This is also not the first time Bezos has funded anti-ageing research. The former Amazon CEO funded Unity Technologies in 2018 which was also looking at anti-ageing therapies.

    MIT Tech Review claims that Altos Labs primarily focuses on human cell reprogramming where they add proteins to a cell that essentially instruct them to revert to a stem-cell-like state. Scientist Shinya Yamanaka already demonstrated the technique in mice around nine years ago. "Although there are many hurdles to overcome, there is huge potential," Yamanaka told MIT Tech Review in an email.

    Spanish researcher Manuel Serrano told the MIT investigators: "The aim is to understand rejuvenation. I would say the idea of having revenue in the future is there, but it’s not the immediate goal.”
    According to MIT Tech Review, Altos Labs was formed after a two-day conference on anti-ageing biotech at the Palo Alto mansion of Russian investor and tech mogul Yuri Milner.

    A known face in Gujarati theatre and film scene, Pratik Gandhi has also done a few Hindi and English language films. But it’s the portrayal of Harshad Mehta in Hansal Mehta’s Scam 1992 that made him a nationwide hero after playing the role to perfection.
    Now, Pratik Gandhi has taken to his social media handles to tell his viewers about his upcoming film Raavan Leela. Gandhi will be seen portraying the role of Raavan in the movie that is slated to release in theatres on October 1.
    While sharing the teaser, he wrote, “Not every film gives you an opportunity to live two diverse characters at a time. #RaavanLeela (Bhavai) is a story that allowed me to explore that and much more. I cannot wait for you all to witness this in theaters on Oct 1. Trailer out on Sept 9″.

    Pratik has delivered a perfect monologue and people are impressed by his dialogue delivery. At the beginning of the teaser, you see a couple of kids standing in front of a Raavan effigy on the eve of Dussehra. And then we see Pratik dressed as the demon king. He is part of a play called Raavan Leela and you can witness the grandeur of the demon king through Pratik’s perfect monologue.

    In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Saif talked about buying the Pataudi Palace in 2014. He said, “I mean, half the businessmen in this country and all these guys are the people who inherited fortunes and we didn’t. But we are more privileged than people who are badly off.”
    In an earlier interview, Said said, "My father had leased it out. Francis (Wacziarg) and Aman (Nath), who ran a hotel there, took care of the property. My mother (Sharmila Tagore) has a cottage there and she was always very comfortable. It was a fair financial arrangement, and contrary to reports I didn't have to buy it back as I already owned it.”

    Saif Ali Khan’s Bhoot Police co-star Arjun Kapoor also acknowledged their privilege and said, “We are better off than 90% or maybe even more and we make sure to not take it for granted.”
    He said, “Whatever my financial struggles are, they exist and they have existed, but they cannot be compared to so many people. I have problems but now if I compare it, it seems silly to them.”

    Virat Kohli and the Indian cricket team once again have the lead in the Test series against England after they defeated the hosts by 157 runs on the final day of The Oval match on Monday.
    There was a moment during the day when the cameraman focused on the Indian skipper in the wrong moment and his perspective was such that it looked as if Kohli was bowing in front of the on-field umpire Alex Wharf, while curiously looking at the official’s… middle area.

    However, after an unbelievable day in the middle by the Indian bowlers, the skipper seemed a lot more at peace, confident and happy in answering questions in the post-match presentation when he was asked about his squad’s comeback performance in the series after a debacle of a show during the third Test at Leeds.

    “Well, I think the best thing about both the games has been the character the team has showed. We are not looking to survive in this game, we are here to win. Really proud of the character the team has showed,” he said about the competitors’ mindset with which his team makes a comeback every time they are thrashed.
    “It’s quite relative what you call flat [talking about the pitch]. The conditions were hot and we knew we were in with an opportunity when Jadeja was bowling in the rough. The bowlers were good with the reverse swing today. We believe we could get all 10 wickets, we had the belief,“ he added about the team’s resilience.
