Delhi Police's Economic Offences Wing (EOW) has arrested actress Leena Maria Paul for helping her husband Sukesh Chandrasekhar who has been accused of defrauding many people of hundreds of crores.
View this post on Instagram
All We Know About The Extortion Case
Sukesh has already been arrested along with seven others, including a bank manager, for their alleged involvement in the extortion case. He had allegedly extorted Rs 200 crore from a businessman’s wife by impersonating a central government official over a phone call while he was in Rohini Jail.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) had recently conducted a raid at his sea-facing bungalow in Chennai and they discovered around 16 luxury cars and clothes of international brands worth crores of rupees.
They also got to know that Leena had also been using the money he got through extortion. The ED has confiscated her bungalow, 6 luxury cars, 2 kilos of gold, Rs.82.50 lakh in cash, and a number of expensive bags and shoes from her house.
She has also been interrogated by the ED several times before getting arrested.
All We Know About Leena Maria Paul
1: The life story of Leena has all sorts of drama and can actually become a Bollywood movie about a mafia and his girlfriend. She is a Malayalam actress and has featured in one of the movies alongside South superstar Mohanlal. She was also seen in Bollywood movie Madras Cafe featuring John Abraham.
View this post on Instagram 2: She was going to pursue a BDS course and her goal was to become a dentist but she ended up becoming a model and eventually a film actress.
3: According to reports, her husband and she were also arrested for allegedly cheating a bank of Rs 19 crore in 2013.
4: She also owns a beauty parlour in Kochi. The parlour was also raided by the CBI last year.
5: She was also in the news when underworld don Ravi Poojari's team tried to shoot her dead in her parlour but no casualties happened. Poojari’s team tried to kill her as they thought she would become the custodian of all the assets owned by Sukesh.
We wonder if the movie Bunty Aur Babli was inspired by them and their story.

Tattoos are pretty trendy, but they can also go terribly wrong, especially if it's your first tattoo.
More so, getting your first tattoo is never easy. From narrowing down the placement to picking the right design, there’s a lot to think about.
Where should I get it?
Will it hurt a lot?
How much will it cost?
It’s always good to have your questions answered before going for your first tattoo. Not only will you be prepared on what to expect, it’ll also reduce your chances of making a regrettable mistake.
Here are five things that you should know about, before getting your first tattoo.
1. Yes, It Hurts But, it’s tolerable. Take it from someone with multiple tattoos, the pain isn’t as dreadful as you think. More importantly, how much it hurts depends on where you want to get it. For instance, ribcage, shin and ankles are more painful areas for tattoos than arms.
__ECOMPRODUCT__579__
You must be wondering if there’s a way to reduce the pain? There is. If the pain is too much, you can always ask your tattoo artist if they have a numbing cream. Take breaks, get enough sleep and make sure to wear loose clothes to help you deal with the pain.
__ECOMPRODUCT__1209__
2. Placement Is Extremely Important Most people pick their tattoo based on how it will look on that particular body part. However, the placement also affects how your tattoo will retain itself over time. Areas that experience more friction, like in-between your fingers and your palms, do not hold the tattoo well.
__ECOMPRODUCT__2455__
It may look good as a fresh ink, but it may fade with time. You can also take a professional tattoo artist's opinion before deciding. But in my experience, accessorizing your fingers with rings is a much better idea, unless you want to spend a ton of money getting touch-ups.
3. Always Eat Before Going Even if you’re getting a small tattoo, make sure to eat a proper meal before going for your appointment. Your blood sugar levels can drop rapidly during the process, so make sure to get some healthy carbs beforehand, or else you may start to feel dizzy and nauseated.
__ECOMPRODUCT__2456__
4. Exfoliate Your Skin Keep it simple with the skincare before getting a tattoo. Gentle exfoliation and moisturising is all that you need to do. This helps not just your skin but also your tattoo artist. If you’re going for a big tattoo, it's better to shave the area yourself, before going.
__ECOMPRODUCT__2457__
5. Pay Attention To The After Care The excitement after getting your first tattoo will be high, but remember to listen to the after care instructions that your artist is giving. If you don’t, you might have come back for touch ups because your tattoo might not heal well.
__ECOMPRODUCT__2458__
The Bottomline It’s always better to be well-prepared, especially if it’s your first time with a tattoo or a piercing. Apart from these tips, make sure to research well about your tattoo parlour and consult your tattoo artist beforehand.

But one clip that disturbed everyone was when Salman and Sidharth laughed over a hypothetical situation about his death.
Sidharth had participated in Bigg Boss 13, but he had to leave the house a few times due to his health condition. In one of the Weekend Ka War episodes, Salman got on a video call while Sidharth was in the hospital to give him the news that he has not been evicted from the house. But the conversation steered into a joke.
Salman is heard saying, "Aapke fans ne aapko save kar liya hai. Ab dekhna hai ki upar waala aapko save karta hai ki nai."

He also says that people will remember him if he isn't alive because he is a good-hearted man. Since this was meant to be a joke, everyone in the audience as well as Salman and Sidharth are heard laughing.
However, this old joke has now made Sidharth's fans angry. They are saying 'joke turns into reality.' Another user said that one shouldn't joke about anyone's death.
Check out some reactions here.

After almost a two-year-long battle with Coronavirus, theatres across the world are slowly rising up back to their feet, enabling people to visit cinema halls and watch movies once again in a safe manner.
Moving past that, the season of the release of the most exciting movies is upon us - some that we've been waiting for a really, really long time.
One of the movies belonging to that list is the upcoming Sci-fi/adventure film Dune starring Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Jason Momoa, and Josh Brolin.
The Denis Villeneuve-directorial had already been on the watchlist for millions of fans worldwide but the latest scoop of news regarding it should make that number grow significantly further.

Dune got an amazing eight-minute long standing ovation on its official world premiere at the prestigious Venice Film Festival on Friday. As per reports, Chloe Zhao, the Oscar-winning director of Nomadland (2020), who was a member of the festival's competition jury this year, apparently rushed through the aisles to congratulate the film director.

She hugged Villeneuve and called the film "fantastic" amid the standing ovation where the crowd could be heard roaring and applauding the cast and crew for eight minutes. During the festival, star actor Timothee Chalamet along with the rest of the star cast had a couple of press screenings in the morning before they stepped out on the red carpet just before the big unveiling of the film at 7 pm.
While Chalamet, who is a very popular figure among Gen Z, garnered a lot of attention, there was no denying that the star power of the complete cast added another dimension to the event.

Zendaya and co-stars Oscar Isaac, Rebecca Ferguson, Josh Brolin, Javier Bardem, Sharon Duncan-Brewster, Dave Bautista, Stellan Skarsgard, and Chen Chang were all seen walking the red carpet arm-in-arm with director Villeneuve and Chalamet.
The film, which is the adaptation of Frank Herbert`s 1965 sci-fi classic of the same name, will be released across cinemas in Europe from September 15 and in the US and HBO Max on October 22. In terms of its release in India, the Legendary Entertainment and Warner Brothers' production film will be in theatres on October 15. Excited much?

Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) special episode, Shandaar Shukravar had two of the biggest names in the history of Indian cricket - Sourav Ganguly and Virender Sehwag grace the audience and television viewers with their presence as the host, Amitabh Bachchan welcomed them on screen and greeted them.
During their time on the show, Ganguly’s famous t-shirt toss moment from the 2002 NatWest cup final against England, was discussed with Sr. Bachchan, who tried to pull the BCCI President’s leg by asking him about the specificities of the incident.
Reliving the moment, Ganguly spoke about the time when his daughter, Sana, watched the footage of her father’s enthusiastic celebration after his batsmen Mohammed Kaif and Zaheer Khan took the last two runs to win the nail-biter of a final match.
“My daughter once watched it and asked me ‘why did I do it?’. I thought I have scored over 20,000 runs and so many cover drives, but everybody keeps talking about the Lord’s balcony celebration,” The Prince of Kolkata said.
View this post on Instagram
In his typical way of wooing his guests, Amitabh Bachchan would then go on to praise the former Indian skipper unselfishly while complimenting his skills as a batsman and a leader and ensuring him of the fact that the entire nation was proud of all the achievements he had earned over the years.
To direct the attention away from himself, Ganguly quickly and wittily started talking about the current captain of Team India - Virat Kohli, and how he might outdo the Lord’s t-shirt-toss moment if challenged. “Don’t challenge Virat Kohli. He can even go to Oxford Street without a shirt,” Dada added.
As the video of the incident continued to play on the screens, Bachchan would eventually ask Ganguly what was it that he was saying as he swung his India jersey aggressively while standing in the balcony of London’s Lord’s cricket ground.
Completely aware of what he had said and how it would not be appropriate to repeat his words on a family-friendly show like KBC, Ganguly coyly said: “I will tell you that after the show”. But, the Big B’s lip-reading skills were good enough to know the answer to his own question and he steered away from the topic with a sheepish smile.

The Delhi Division of the Indian railways released a video that shows a UV light robot being used to disinfect compartments for COVID-19. Travel has been the worst-hit industry ever since the COVID-19 pandemic broke out and since then, transport companies and organisations have been leveraging technology to combat the virus.
© Twitter_Ministry of Railways
This is the first time the national transporter has used modern technology in the form of a robot to disinfect a compartment and curb the spread of COVID-19 virus by using ultraviolet light. “To prevent the spread of the pandemic, Delhi Division has started ‘Technology-driven Disinfection through UVC Robots’ having UVC light for 100% disinfection of compartment area in coach,” the Ministry of Railways said in a tweet.
The robot was deployed for the first time in the 02004 New Delhi-Lucknow Shatabdi Express route. The video shows a robot extending its arms to spread the UV light across the aisles and moving forward automatically. The arms are essentially waving UV lights above the seats while disinfecting them at the same time.

Robots have been deployed around the world to combat the COVID-19 pandemic for various purposes. Some robots have been used for testing citizens in Denmark while others have been used for spreading information in Japan.

Robots with UV lights have also been used to disinfect hospitals in Italy and have been aptly given the name of “Germ Zappers.”
It’s reassuring to see the Indian railways using robots to disinfect trains even though it was done under the supervision of officials. We could see a wide-scale implementation of these robots to disinfect trains, airplanes and hospitals if the experiment turns out to be successful.
The deployment of robots to combat COVID-19 in various parts of the world have been successful for a variety of reasons. Robots don’t need masks, can be sanitised easily and most importantly don’t contract the virus.
While the robot was used in Delhi for disinfecting a single train, we could see this procedure being deployed across the country. While it would be hard to deploy robots at every station in the country, it could still be possible to use them at transportation hubs such as Mumbai, Delhi and other major cities.

Pankaj Tripathi’s journey to fame can easily be made into a Bollywood movie. There’s drama, rejections, and then his journey towards success. He has worked hard to achieve the status he has right now. There was a time when he made blink-and-you-miss-it appearances in films before getting prominently noticed in Anurag Kashyap’s Gangs of Wasseypur in 2012.
Cut to the present day, Pankaj Tripathi is a household name now and his honesty is reflected in his performances. Tripathi has continued to entertain the audience with different projects such as Mirzapur 2, Ludo, Extraction, Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl, Criminal Justice: Behind Closed Doors, and Kaagaz. As we earlier mentioned that he has faced rejections, Pankaj, in an interview with TOI, has revealed that he has been replaced in many projects.
View this post on Instagram
He revealed, “Oh, so many times. You are told you have been finalized till the very end, and one day, you find out you have been replaced. Of course, it hurts, but it is a part of the process. However, every project I have been replaced in has eventually flopped; trust me, I didn’t jinx them (laughs). So, in hindsight, it was for the best! Jo nahi ho sake poorn kaam, unko karta hoon main pranaam (Wishes that remain unfulfilled are probably for the best).”
As his journey has been dramatic and he has had a lot of lows, he explained how he kept going despite these low phases of his life and kept himself grounded. He doesn’t choose to see the struggle and rather overlook it with a positive perspective.
He said, “See, I don’t have a lot of sob stories. When you really want to find a place, you can do so even without Google Maps, no? I always tell men to find themselves a well-settled girl so that their home is taken care of (laughs). My wife took care of the household expenses when I was still looking for work. We were very ordinary people with limited desires, so we didn’t face any problems. Even now, no matter how much I earn today, I have to sleep on a 6X6 bed only, so what’s the point?”
View this post on Instagram
He was asked if he had ever planned to quit the film industry. He said, “Acting was my last option. I had exhausted all plans; if my plan D, which was acting, had failed too, I’d have to go back to plan A, which was farming--something that I was expected to do, just like my father, if I didn’t want to become a doctor or engineer. ‘B’ was the hotel industry, and ‘C’ would be running some kind of a business.”
Now that he has become a household name, Pankaj had no idea that the future had so much for him in store. He said, “Young actors have started touching my feet now; I feel very awkward. I met army jawans recently, who told me that before going to high altitudes, they download my films to watch when there is no network and that I keep them company on long, arduous nights; I got very emotional. How could I have ever fathomed that a boy from Bihar would become a support system for a soldier posted on a glacier! It’s very humbling; sometimes I feel like this love that people bestow me with, is a debt, and I don’t know how to repay them for it. Perhaps continuing to make them laugh or think through my roles is how I’ll be able to do that.”
Well, his recent statements truly make us believe that a 'Plan E' as a motivational speaker won't be that bad for him after all. What do you guys think?

Rishabh Pant is known to be the jokester of the Indian cricket team and the stunts he pulls, in person or on the social media, are taken in good spirit by his teammates. Earlier this week, the wicket-keeper batsman decided to prey on the pacer, Mohammed Shami when he turned 31 on September 3. However, the response Pant got left the cricketer as stunned as his fans.
On Shami’s birthday, Pant decided to wish him on Twitter with a very cheeky post.
@MdShami11 bhai, ball aur umar dono tezi se nikli jaa rahi hai. Happy birthday!
— Rishabh Pant (@RishabhPant17) September 3, 2021
“@MdShami11 bhai, ball aur umar dono tezi se nikli jaa rahi hai. Happy birthday! (@MdShami11 bro, ball and your age, both are rushing by quickly. Happy birthday!)” wrote the middle-order dynamic batter in his special birthday wish on the micro-blogging website.
While it was typical of Pant to crack such jokes, his fans and followers were taken by surprise when Mohammed Shami decided to pull the 23-year-old’s leg in return and responded with a super cheeky message of his own.
Apna time aayega beta ball or Umar ko koi nahi rook saka but motape ka treatment aaj bhi hota hai @RishabhPant17 https://t.co/AddyqeleGt
— Mohammad Shami (@MdShami11) September 4, 2021
“Apna time aayega beta ball or Umar ko koi nahi rook saka but motape ka treatment aaj bhi hota hai @RishabhPant17 (Our time will come and nobody could stop age but there’s still treatment available for being fat even today @RishabhPant17),” Shami replied while stinging Rishabh where it would hurt him the most - the speculations about his weight.
Fans of both the cricketers were amazed to see such a banter take place online and here’s how some of them reacted:

— 71st Arjun (@Arjun_Archer1) September 5, 2021Shami k saath masti nahi pic.twitter.com/vyn8UMW6kv
— ABHiJiTH (@Abhijith_Noir) September 5, 2021If it would have been anyone else in place of Rishabh Pant on the receiving end of such a comment, they would have definitely gotten hurt and responded to keep the banter going. However, the Indian southpaw is one of those rare people who can take a joke on themselves and genuinely laugh about it too.
Pant and Shami were integral parts of the Indian cricket team in the first three Test matches against England at Nottingham, London, and Leeds. However, considering the kind of grueling task it is for the pacer bowlers to play in three consecutive red-ball matches, Shami was rested for The Oval Test and was replaced by all-rounder Shardul Thakur, who has been phenomenal for the Men in Blue in both the innings, especially as a batsman.

Smartphone companies have become better at offering security updates to smartphones for at least three years but it seems like that won’t be enough. It’s a massive problem that plagues Android devices where users are often forced to buy a new smartphone every three years because their old devices don’t have the necessary security update to run apps.
© mika-baumeister-unsplash
However, the European Union is now taking the fight to smartphone companies and wants to force longer periods of security updates for smartphones. Now, Germany has gone a step ahead of the EU and wants seven years of updates for smartphones and spare parts. If this comes into effect, smartphone companies will be legally required to offer these services for each model they sell in Germany and possibly the EU.
This means that if you bought a smartphone in 2021, you could receive an Android 18 update under these regulations. It would also require smartphone companies to keep replacement parts for the devices. This new rule is being proposed in an effort to reduce electronic waste.
When taking other gadgets into account, seven years of updates for desktop operating systems is now a standard. While Google, Samsung and even OnePlus have set a standard of three years of security updates, Germany’s proposal goes above and beyond what the EU is hoping for.
Both the EU and the German government want to extend the life of smartphones, increase their reliability and maintainability to improve environmental conditions. This will effectively increase the life cycle of each smartphone sold in the region without having the need to purchase a new smartphone every few years.
© mika-baumeister--unsplash
The EU’s proposal might come into effect in 2023 and it’s worth pointing out that 40 percent of Android users are still running Android 9 Pie. In fact, no further security updates are also the main reason why Android users switch to the iPhone.
New security updates will not only help Android smartphone companies retain customers for longer, but they will also help in protecting their devices from malware and hackers. Longer security updates will prevent attackers from targeting older Android smartphones that could be open to exploits.
What do you think of Germany and the EU’s requirement of minimum security update requirements of five or seven years? Do you upgrade your smartphone as soon as the security update period runs out or would you rather use your smartphone for longer?

Rohit Sharma’s innings of 127 runs is arguably the only reason why the Indian cricket team have a sliver of hope about winning the fourth Test against England at The Oval cricket ground in London.
View this post on Instagram
Moments after he had scored his first overseas Test cricket hundred ever, the cricketer had addressed an important query regarding his position in the team in the longest format of the game.
In the virtual conference that took place at the end of Day 3, the ‘Hitman’ spoke how he knew that the opening spot which was given to him back in 2019 was his final opportunity to create a permanent space for himself in this team or else there was no coming back.
View this post on Instagram
“In the back of my mind, I knew this was the last chance for me (Tests), trying another position in the batting order. When the offer came to me to open the batting, I was very much aware of it because the talks were happening within the management at some stage,” Rohit said.
“I batted in middle order before and things didn't go as per the way I wanted it to and I knew this was my last opportunity to try out and you know management is thinking whatever I want to try.
View this post on Instagram
“When you are playing a sport, you always have to take those chances, those risks and so I was ready for it and it didn't come to me as a surprise. It would have been my last opportunity if I wouldn't have succeeded. Anything could have happened,” he added.
Sharma added how he wanted to play as if his back was against the wall and this was the only shot that he had at representing his nation in the whites.
View this post on Instagram
“That (about it being his last opportunity) was my feeling. I don't know about others because the team management told me I will have a long run. But I wanted to think in a way that this is it. I have to make good use of this opportunity and for that I have to do whatever it takes,” said Rohit.
