It is not every day that you get to sit across the table on a video call with Berlin from Money Heist and get to ask him a few questions which are dancing like a pendulum in your mind ever since the fourth season left you in a carnal loop of “what next?” As I wait for our call to begin, I am happily nervous, playing with a pen and recalling what I wish to ask. Moments later, I see him on the screen and his warm smile lights up the room. In just a minute, Pedro can change the air from formal to ‘comfortable’ and suddenly, it feels like you’re talking to an old friend you haven’t seen in years.
So like an over-excited fan, I begin our conversation with the first thing that comes to my mind. “How has your life changed after Money Heist?” I ask.
He thinks for a moment and replies, “There is a positive side and a difficult side. I am receiving new opportunities, meeting new people and talking to so many amazing people across the globe from different countries. The access to new lines of conversations and the level of exposure I get is sometimes tough. Since many people recognise me, I can’t travel to many countries just like that without being recognised. It’s a challenge on some days. I am 50 years old and I love all this, and so I try my best to find a balance between all of this. However, I obviously love it all”.
© Netflix
I then asked him about his thoughts on Berlin’s fame. Did you ever imagine that Berlin would become so big and will be a hit amongst the fans of the show, and do you like him? “If Berlin appears in front of me with my daughter and she tells me Oh dad, here, meet my new boyfriend! I’d shout no way! I’d lose it”, he laughs loudly. “As an actor, it was great playing him. Berlin is a complex character and it was fun to play him for sure. In ordinary life, you don’t get to play such characters everyday. The possibilities are endless and the character grows with time in the show."
The conversation steers towards favourites. I wish to know who is Pedro’s favourite character on the show as a viewer and his response is actually quite heart-warming.
“Well, I don’t know honestly because no one character would be perceived the way it is if you watch them alone. There is synergy and energy in all characters when they are together. All of them are like one big family. All of them are handicapped in some way but they come together to fill each other’s flaws. They come together as a family. I really appreciate all of them, and I cannot separate their roles from each other”, he quips altruistically.
I obviously ask about everyone’s ‘favourite’ Arturito. He laughs and tells me “I love him in real life and we all joke about how much people love to hate him”. While the show will see its end in this final season, Pedro’s career is touching new heights. We then talk about future plans and he shares that he’s now toying with the idea of directing a documentary and is reading scripts as well. We reach towards the end of this fun chat and to wind it up, I ask about the past of Berlin. As fans, we all want to know what happened and how he became the way he is. The makers have promised to unveil everything about him and Pedro assures that fans will be satisfied. “In the beginning it was a dark character and was perceived that way. One has to travel in his past to understand who he is. His life will open up slowly and you will see, it is exciting”.
Like all good things come to an end, our conversation touches the fork bend where we bid our warm goodbyes and gear up to see the suspense unfold in the final season. The first part streams on September 3, so make sure your popcorn is ready, and stay away from all spoilers! Until we see Berlin again, we can continue chanting Bella Ciao.

There is nothing better to rest easy on a weekend or a Friday and watch a Bollywood Hindi movie in order to escape the realities of the world.
© MX Player
The year was 2010 and Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif were the most bankable Bollywood onscreen Jodi on the back of successive hits like Welcome, Namaste London, and others. And then Tees Maar Khan happened.
The movie directed by Farah Khan was an absolute disaster at the box office with the storyline along with the amount of overacting getting a lot of stick from critics and viewers alike. Well, Akshay Kumar, renowned for picking good scripts and delivering hits after hits, will surely consider this to be his biggest mistake.
2. Zero - Shah Rukh Khan © Disney Plus Hotstar
Saif Ali Khan has made a huge mark lately, especially when one talks about the OTT platform scene. The actor showed his tremendous acting talent in Netflix's Sacred Games and hasn't quite stopped since. However, there is one movie that he probably must regret doing for sure. Humshakals!
The 2014 film starring Saif, Ram Kapoor, Riteish Deshmukh, Tamanna and co, was so bad that it received a Tomato Meter of 0 percent on Rotten Tomatoes. Clearly, Saif has learned his lesson and is doing so well since.
6. Love Story 2050 - Priyanka Chopra © YouTube
Madhavan is one actor who loves experimenting. Unfortunately and unsurprisingly, experiments aren't always successful, and well, Maddy found that out with Jodi Breakers.
The movie was just intolerable from start to finish and clearly was a waste of Madhavan and Bipasha Basu's talents.

A picture of a policeman from Alabama is going viral due to his uncanny resemblance with Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson. People were left stunned by the similarities he had with The Rock. From his facial attributes to his physique, he can totally play the body-double of the actor. Shared by the Morgan County Sheriff's Office, the picture of Lt. Eric Fields soon went viral.
“A busy day across Morgan County...and our Corrections team was right there with us! In addition to their role in the Morgan County Jail, they handle transports when an arrest is made which allows the Deputies to stay out on the road! On a side note, if folks went to court when they're supposed to we'd have fewer warrants to serve,” reads the caption shared along with the image.
© Facebook
The images soon caught the attention of Dwayne Johnson himself and he shared the news on his Twitter feed. The Rock said, “Wow. The guy on the left is way cooler. Stay safe brother and thank you for your service. One day we'll drink Teremana and I need to hear all your “Rock stories” because I know you got them.”
Oh shit! Wow.

Responding to the post, Fields shared a selfie posing with a bottle of Teremana, the alcohol brand owned by The Rock. He wrote, “Thanks brother, and cheers.”

The sheriff, who has been working as a police officer for 17 years, is certainly enjoying his newfound Internet fame, and speaking to AL.com, Eric said he finds it “humorous and flattering.”
We are also finding it equally amusing.

The biggest strength of the latest Marvel outing Shang Chi And The Legend Of Ten Rings is the fact that it’s unlike the previous Marvel movies. As Chadwick Boseman gave hope to the black community by giving them Black Panther, Asians have found their own superhero Shang Chi in Simu Liu.
© Marvel Entertainment
Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, Shang-Chi introduces a new hero to the Marvel franchise, and the makers have also given us a hint at the end of the movie that he will be part of many more narratives with the Avengers. Let me tell you that the newest Marvel hero is off to a promising start and after seeing the premiere, I can’t wait to see him in more stories.
Shang Chi doesn’t start with the hero himself but instead first gives us an introduction of his father Wenwu (Tony Leung) aka the Mandarin who leads an infamous organization called the Ten Rings, previously mentioned in various Iron Man installments. He is immortal and unbeatable but things change after he meets a woman named Jiang Li (played by Fala Chen) from a mythical land called Ta Lo. We have generally not seen superhero movies beginning with a love story and this was a refreshing change.
© Marvel Entertainment
From a love story to transcending to an action drama to a mythical epic, Shang Chi oscillates between different genres. In the backstory, we are made to go through Shang Chi’s tough childhood and how his father made him do things that he was mentally not prepared for. He runs away from his family, leaving his sister (played by Meng'er Zhang) all alone at the mercy of their father who’s blinded by his power.
The best part of the movie is that the director has managed to infuse all the drama and action with the vulnerabilities of the characters. If Shang Chi is someone who’s going through turbulence in his life, Katy (Awkwafina) who is his best friend adds the dose of perfect humour in every scene that she is a part of. We also meet Shang-Chi’s warrior aunt, Jiang Nan (Michelle Yeoh) who also is a strong anchor to Shang Chi’s story.
View this post on Instagram
Without giving any spoilers, I'm happy to report that the film is visually and narratively different from all the Marvel movies and it’s interesting to see how it doesn't overlap with any other story of other superheroes in the Marvel world. Fans will find much to enjoy about this new offering because of the crazy action sequences. And if you have seen any of the Marvel movies, don’t fret, because you will be drawn to the journey and struggles of Shang Chi. In a nutshell, the movie is worth spending your hard-earned money on.

It is said that those who do bad things often lack a moral conscience. But what if that’s not always the case?
What if the reason why some people feel compelled to do something morally or ethically wrong is due to their own troubled circumstances? And what if all that these people really need is little time to reflect on their actions to come around and do the right thing?
© Atresmedia Vancouver media
We say this after coming across a few robbers who, even though committed the crime of stealing from another person, eventually, had a change of heart and made up for their mistakes.
Guess both chivalry and moral compass isn’t entirely lost yet!
1. Robber Returned Money After Seeing Woman’s Empty Bank Balance
An incident that was recorded on the CCTV camera of an ATM in China, a robber walked in to rob a woman who gave him all her cash.
He then asked her to show him his bank balance, which to his surprise was empty. Instead of hurrying out with the cash he had stolen, he smiled, returned all of it to the woman and walked away.
2. Thieves Return The Money They Stole From A Rajasthan Dargah © Dainik Bhaskar
A Dargah in Rajasthan was apparently looted by a bunch of thieves who allegedly took about 2 lakh rupees from the donation box.
However, having realised what they did was not right, the thieves ended up returning one out of the two lakh rupees back to the Dargah after a month.
3. Robber Returned Woman’s Wallet With An Apology Note In Arkansas © UPI
This one happened to have stolen a woman's wallet in a Walmart store, but came around to make amends for his crime by sending it back with a rather touching note.
He wrote, “To the lady that left her wallet at Walmart...please forgive me as I always strive to have integrity, and that day I failed miserably", as he returned the money to the police who then gave it back to the woman.
4. Thief Returned Money He Stole From A Tip Jar © iStock
This happened in Springfield, USA when a robber stole about $40 from a tip jar in a restaurant but regretted his actions and returned those $40 along with $30 from his own pocket.
He also wrote a note that said, “To the employees who worked yesterday I truly apologize for what happened it was a stupid mistake made while under the influence of drugs which is not an excuse just the truth there was 40 something (dollars) in there when it was taken I tried to double it but could only get 70 (dollars) I’m sorry I’m not a bad person just a man with an addiction I AM sorry!!! (sic).”
5. Thief Returned A Bag After Realising It Had Covid Vaccines View this post on Instagram
A Chandigarh thief who had stolen a bag and fled the scene returned the bag after realising that it contained about 1,700 doses of Covid vaccine.
He left a note saying, “Sorry, pata nahin tha Covid ki dawai hai".
6. Robber Returned Gold Stolen From A Family In Kerala © TOI
After a family in Kerala was robbed of their precious gold ornaments, they filed a case for theft with the police.
However, the thief ended up returning all that gold and with it, offered an explanation where he admitted to having stolen under “financial constraints”.
Seeing the thief’s moral conscience kick in, the family withdrew their case.
7. Waitress Returned Money She Stole From The Cash Counter © Twitter
A waitress who was given the sly tip of not recording the sale of a few drinks to pocket the cash, carried great remorse for her sleight of hand at her job and 20 years later, returned the money she stole along with 20 years worth of interest and an apology note.
It explained how she grew up in the church and knew better than that, which is why she wanted to make amends.

Love is blind. And destructive. Sometimes, we fall for people who destroy us and break us but we turn a blind eye to it and keep going back to the same person.
Despite many warnings from the people around us, we continue to believe that they are right for us, when, in reality, they are wrong for us in every possible way.
© Dharma Productions
Most of us women probably have a biological malfunction that makes us attracted to men who are total jerks and then, there are movies that completely validate this fact.
However, men are not spared either. They fall for the wrong women too, more often than you would think.
© Colour Yellow Productions
Take these Bollywood movies for example where men fell for, chose and ended up with the wrong woman and made us all yell at the screen...“Dude, no! How could you...?”
1. Gautam In Cocktail © Eros International
When I first saw the movie in college, Gautam falling for the sanskari Meera and ditching the badass party girl Veronica seemed obvious. But that’s what Bollywood has done to our heads.
Veronica, although outgoing and a party animal, helped Meera, a complete stranger who ends up snatching her man and she still forgives her. Gautam couldn’t see the good in Veronica and picked Meera, a married woman who betrayed her best friend. *Slow claps*
2. Manu In Tanu Weds Manu Returns © Colour Yellow Productions
Tanu makes a fool out of Manu all through the first instalment of the movie only to send him to a mental asylum in the end.
He files for divorce and finds Kusum who is genuinely nice, independent and humble (although much younger).
© Colour Yellow Productions
However, on the day of the wedding, he leaves her for his ex-wife who almost ruined his life, twice. No man would go back to a borderline abusive and narcissistic wife like her. But guess what? Manu does.
3. Kundan In Raanjhanaa © Colour Yellow Productions
There was Bindiya, Kundan’s childhood friend who was head over heels in love with him and then, there was Zoya who didn’t give two hoots about him and only took advantage of him till the end. Guess who he fell for?
© Colour Yellow Productions
That’s right. Zoya! Kundan couldn’t get over his childhood love even after she makes it clear she isn’t interested in him anymore and is marrying someone else. Moreover, he leaves Bindiya at the altar to help Zoya again.
4. Samar In Jab Tak Hai Jaan © Yash Raj Films
Meera is already engaged when she falls for Samar and leaves him too one day because she promises to God she won’t ever see him again if he survives the fatal road accident that takes place in front of her eyes.
© Yash Raj Films
She doesn’t even take him to the hospital.
Samar being lovestruck doesn’t fall for anyone for years, not even Akira who is more sensible than Meera. She even helps the couple reunite.
But I have a question, what if Meera pulls off this ‘God promise’ stint again?
5. Ayan In Ae Dil Hai Mushkil © Dharma Productions
Alizeh was a catch. She was fun, free-spirited and handled Ayan like a child but was absolutely wrong for him. Everyone could see it but Ayan. And, she never loved him the way he wanted.
© Dharma Productions
And poor Saba, the gorgeous poet was nothing but a rebound case for Ayan, who was still pining for Alizeh.
She was way more mature, stable and loved Ayan the way he wanted to be loved but he just couldn’t let Alizeh go. He should have treated Saba better and stayed with her.

Body shaming can happen is many ways, and perhaps a lot of people find it amusing or consider it no sin to body shame others. Celebrities who are always in the limelight are the most common victims of this phenomenon. However, a lot of people are now trying to understand the concept of body-shaming. Internet trolling is a serious concern and it is brutal for public figures. In the Bollywood industry, having unrealistic beauty standards is pretty much common and hence is considered no big a deal.
Celebrities are expected to look in a certain way, and they are expected to achieve the perfect body. Actors are constantly scrutinized for how they look.
So, here is a list of celebrities who have been body-shamed for their looks and yet fought this stigma like a boss and gave us a lesson or two in how to deal with such trolls.
Arjun Kapoor View this post on Instagram
He said in an interview with Koimoi, “See somebody has an issue with how broad structured I am, I can’t cut my arm off na? And if somebody today does not know what I am dealing with in my life, with the health issue or all that’s is going on in my personal space, where it might have reflected a bit in my life. I might have not looked the way they expect me to look, as long as it is not hindering the way I connect with the on-screen, I cannot take it seriously beyond a point.”
Vidya Balan View this post on Instagram
Actor Vidya Balan is the real Sherni of Bollywood and often takes a stand against unrealistic expectations set in Bollywood.
Recently, she took a stand against unrealistic beauty standards and how people expect women to look in pictures.
She expressed how she doesn’t want to look slimmer than she really is.
The actor’s rules were revealed by photographer Dabboo Ratnani in a recent interview. He revealed that Vidya Balan is comfortable in her own skin.
Aishwarya Rai View this post on Instagram
Aishwarya Rai was quoted saying by SpotboyE, "How do they have the time, inclination to put someone else down and how can that make you feel good. But at the end of the day, we can sit and think about trying to analyze that mindset. Let them help themselves. But what you can help is by not giving importance to it.”
Neha Dhupia View this post on Instagram
After giving birth to her first child, Neha Dhupia was trolled on the internet for gaining weight. The actress is known for her bold life choices and statements and she said that she is ‘unbothered’ by the fat-shaming and that she does not owe anyone any explanation.
She said, "But I do want to address this as a larger problem because fat-shaming needs to stop for everyone, not just celebrities.”
Sonakshi Sinha View this post on Instagram
Sonakshi Sinha has faced body-shaming on multiple occasions and she was constantly bullied for her weight as a child and was trolled when she lost her weight after becoming an actress.
Sonakshi Sinha also once revealed that she feels angry, hurt and even numb.
She once wrote in her Insta caption, “For years I’ve been trolled because of my weight. I’ve never felt the need to react because I always believed i was #BiggerThanThem... pun intended.”

Kieron Pollard, one of the most sought-after T20 players in the world, has made headlines not just for making use of his powerful muscles and hitting big sixes but also for his unique style of protests.
From taping his mouth to taking guard at the edge of the pitch, we have seen the Mumbai Indians all-rounder protest against the umpire’s decisions in some or the other bizarre manner in the Indian Premier League.
Pollard was unhappy with the decision from the umpire about the wide and he moved away and stayed at "Mid-wicket" as a non-striker. pic.twitter.com/C0P3Se4jIu
— Johns. (@CricCrazyJohns) August 31, 2021
Recently, the West Indies all-rounder took his protest to the next level during a Caribbean Premier League (CPL) match between defending champions Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) and St Lucia Kings.
Pollard, who leads TKR in the CPL, was at the non-striker's end in the penultimate over of the innings, with Tim Seifert facing Wahab Riaz.
With the batting team looking to up the ante, the St Lucia Kings fast bowler delivered a wide yorker which was way outside the wide line but the match official didn’t signal anything, leaving both the batters and the commentators bemused.
Here’s the video:

Umpire : Yes

— Thakur (@hassam_sajjad) August 31, 2021
Annoyed with the decision, Siefert looked towards the umpire in an animated manner hoping he would change his decision while Pollard, who was standing close to the umpire, decided not to engage with him at all and started to move away. He kept on walking till he almost reached the edge of the 30-yard circle near the mid-wicket region.
Watching the star all-rounder protest in such a peaceful manner, the commentators burst out laughing as both of them agreed that the umpire was wrong in not calling it a wide.
© Instagram CPLT20
Going by the rule books, no doubt the delivery should’ve been called wide since the batsman hadn’t moved before the ball was released. But unlike the commentators, the fans were divided in their opinions, not over the decision but the protest.
While some hailed him for entertaining them, others found it to be disrespectful towards the match official and chided him for over-reacting.

Thankfully, for Pollard, this one run didn’t cost them much as his side won the match quite comfortably by 27 runs to register their second win of the season.
