On Monday, the 19-year-old Avani LekharaΒ created history when she became the first Indian woman to win a gold medal at the ParalympicsΒ after dominating in the R-2 women's 10m Air Rifle Standing SH1 event in Tokyo, Japan.

The Jaipur-born shooter’s final score of 249.6 was not only equal to the world record but also a new Paralympic record.

Phenomenal performance @AvaniLekhara! Congratulations on winning a hard-earned and well-deserved Gold, made possible due to your industrious nature and passion towards shooting. This is truly a special moment for Indian sports. Best wishes for your future endeavours.

Avani Lekhara’s Journey To Tokyo Paralympic Gold In Tokyo
As a child, Avani was a talented dancer who would bag trophies and awards in dancing. However, a horrible car crash in 2012 caused serious injuries to her spinal cord and the wheelchair became a prominent part of her life.

Without regretting the changes that were brought into her life after that one horrific incident, Avani decided to try out different sports that she thought she would be good at. She even considered archery before finally taking up shooting after reading India's first Olympic Gold Medallist Abhinav Bindra’s autobiography A Shot at History: My Obsessive Journey to Olympic Gold.
Her first experience with a rifle came back in 2015 at the Jagatpura Sports Complex in Jaipur and with the kind of work and effort she put into her craft, it took her just two years to make her international debut at the Para Shooting World Cup in Al Ain in UAE (2017).

She started her international career with a silver medal too. She bagged another silver at the Para Shooting World Cup in Osijek in Croatia in 2019. And earlier this year in March, the Avani got her first gold medal at the inaugural National Para-shooting championships in the women's R2 10m air rifle women's SH1.

β€œIt is every athlete’s dream (to win gold for their country at the Olympics) and it was the same for me as well. For the last five years, I have been looking forward to representing India at the Paralympics and I finally got the chance today. I did not care about the medal tally, I just wanted to focus on my performance one shot at a time and now I am feeling as if I am on top of the world,” Avani told Sports Tak (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7zLvNhx9enA) shortly after winning the top spot at the podium.

Apple Watch Series 7 is expected to launch next month alongside the new iPhones. Previous rumours have hinted at the design of the upcoming smartwatch and it seems like somebody in China has already copied the design. These counterfeit clones of the upcoming Apple wearable look almost identical to the leaks we’ve seen so far when looking at images shared by Twitter user β€˜Mahjin Bu’.Β

From the images spotted by Macrumors, we can see that the counterfeit clones of the upcoming Apple Watch Series 7 are available in Space Gray, Silver, and Space Black. The design is almost identical to the renders we’ve seen so far where the watch has squared-off edges, similar to the iPhone 12 lineup.Β

While we haven’t seen the Apple Watch Series 7 in live images so far, these counterfeit clones also give a good idea on what to expect from Apple. These Apple Watch clones sell for around $60 or Rs 4,400 in China according to Majin Bu.Β

The Apple Watch Series 7 is expected to have two long speaker grilles on the left side of the body if we go by the CAD renders that leaked recently. The smartwatch is also expected to have a thinner casing than its predecessors due to the squared-off design.Β
While the casing of the upcoming smartwatch will be thinner than previous models, these clones seem to be a bit thicker than what we’ve seen in the CAD renders. This could be a way to differentiate between the actual Apple Watch Series 7 and the clone device.Β
    Β© Twitter_Majin Bu
It’s clear that these clones have been made to dupe customers thinking it is the actual Apple Watch Series 7. In fact, in China, the problem is so widespread that Apple has a dedicated team that tracks down these counterfeits in an effort to prevent them from being sold.Β

The Apple Watch is not the only upcoming product by the Cupertino giant that is being cloned in China right now. Earlier this year, images of the upcoming AirPods clones also surfaced online that gave us a glimpse of what to expect.Β
While the third-generation AirPods haven’t been announced yet, it shows how far ahead counterfeiters are when it comes to manufacturing clones in China.Β
Apple is expected to announce new iPhones and accessories sometime in September. Recent reports suggest that Apple might host its next annual event on September 14th.Β

Relationships are complicated. It’s never 'one size fits all' and one of the few things that make it all the more tedious are certain traits in your partner that are a little less flattering than one would like. A controlling streak, for instance.Β
It’s a quality that, most of the time, evades even the knowledge of your partner when they’re doing it, let alone you. But with time, the controlling behaviour becomes hard to not take notice of and not be bothered by.
    Β© Eros International
It starts small, perhaps with a little back-handed compliment about your clothes, or showing disappointment about your lifestyle choices. And before you know, you’re tiptoeingΒ around them all the time because they’re controlling every aspect of your life.Β

From who’re you hanging out with, to where you’re going to even insisting on being part of everything you do, these are all but signs of being in bed with someone who has control issues.
And while most people (friends and well-wishers included) would advise you to run the opposite direction, I would like to address how ending a relationship at the first sign of inconvenience is not always an option or desire of the heart.Β
In fact, like all other relationship troubles, this too can be navigated through with some patience and tact, and speaking from personal experience - they sure do work.
Here are a few ways to deal with a controlling partner without pulling the plug:
    1. Address The Issue Β© Dharma Productions
When it comes to relationships, it’s always best to address the elephant in the room. If you feel your partner has knowingly or unknowingly been controlling you a lot, talk to them about it and let them know how it makes you feel.Β

Ask them where such behaviour is stemming from, because most of the time, such need to control everything rises out of insecurity and in that case, it would be a good idea to find out why they may feel insecure about you.
    2. Set Boundaries Β© T-Series
Nothing in life changes overnight, not even the nature of your partner who, until now, was involved in everything you do. Which is why you need to start small and begin with setting a few boundaries mutually that the other cannot cross.

Sometimes, space in a relationship isn’t just good, it is also needed and taking time to oneself without feeling that your partner is intruding can really add some balance to your relationship.
    3. Account For Their Feelings Β© Maddock Films
While it’s important to let your partner know how their behaviour has been making you feel suffocated or puppeteered, it is also important to take into account their feelings while addressing the topic.

Don’t blast your partner and say something you might regret later. Be gentle, careful and respectful even when you’re pointing out their mistakes and keep in mind that they might not be doing it purposely but out of a few unresolved feelings.Β
    4. Call Them Out Β© Viacom 18 Motion Pictures
Once you’ve cleared the air about feeling controlled, make it a point to call them outΒ the next time they try to get a hold over you or control you.Β

Rather than going along with it or keeping it inside, be vocal and voice out whenever you’re feeling so, reminding them that they may be crossing their limits again and need to stop.
Such mindful reminders could be a good way to make them realise where they’re doing wrong and need to course correct.

Even though luxury brands are known for their elegant and comfortable features, people often make fun of them due to their hefty price tags.Β Β

Remember when Gucci started selling inverted eyeglasses for Rs 55k and then again the expensive croc-like perforated shoes? These quintessential products didn't settle well with the audience.Β

Another brand that's being impugned on the internet is Balenciaga. Recently, an Instagram user witnessed the Spanish brand's latest collection.Β

While the models were photographed in front of some great monuments, the bizarre bag is what caught everyone's attention.Β
People then came up with their versions of hilarious memes and comments. Some desi people even spoke about the uncanny resemblance with plastic bags or, as they say in Hindi, 'Thailas'!Β
Speaking of most Indian households, one would find such types of bags in the kitchen.

As per Balenciaga's official website, the Barbes East-West Shopper Bags cost a whopping between $1,950 to $2,090. Additionally, these are made with calf-skin leather and hence the sky-high price.Β

However, the blue and red checked pattern bag reminded us of the bags our moms and aunties carry for grocery shopping.Β Β
If you have to buy such bags from a local shop, these would cost about Rs 250 to Rs 500 but imagine splurging Rs 1,54,903 on it. I mean, whaaaaat?
    Take a look:

The bag has now gone viral due to the design. Comedian Rohan Joshi also commented, "TIL I have four Balenciaga bags at home," while another one said, "brb grabbing one from my aaji's collection to call it heirloom."

The banter intrigued the audience from other countries as well, due to the shocking price. Check out some funny reactions on Twitter:

Even the launch of floral motif bags made people call them 'kambal bags'. These were sold for Rs 2 Lakh, approximately.

The Indian cricket team lost the third Test against England at Leeds’ Headingley Carnegie cricket ground for the series to tie at 1-1 after their batsmen, with the exception of Cheteshwar Pujara and Virat Kohli in the second innings, flopped and failed to put runs on the board.
For the former captain of the Indian cricket team Sunil Gavaskar, arguably the biggest reason to worry during the third Test and arguably the remainder of the series is the fact that the majority of the Indian wickets which fell during the two innings were caught either by the wicket-keeper Jos Buttler or the players standing at the slips.
    View this post on Instagram
While a common factor was the incredible swing provided by the Leeds’ conditions, it is also worth mentioning that the Men in Blue suffered with it a lot more than the hosting English side.
Addressing this issue in the post-match conference of the match, Gavaskar said:
"That would concern everybody (with Indian batsmen getting out in similar fashion) because despite the fact the lines that England bowlers bowled were outstanding lines, around the fourth and fifth stump which is difficult for the batsmen, but when the lengths were a little further up, they got the wickets.
    View this post on Instagram
"When you bowl short of the length, every batsman has the time to play or leave it. Once the batsmen were drawn forward, there's not much you can do and that is where the bat speed factor comes in.
"Most of the dismissals, if you have a look, it's at hard hands at the ball. You have to give credit to the bowler, it's a beautiful delivery. A lot of deliveries that got Virat Kohli out or Ajinkya Rahane out were good deliveries. Still, the batsmen went for it and that is where they got themselves out. That's definitely a cause for concern," explained the little master.

With the score tied at 1-1, the series is anybody’s to win. With a few days to go before the fourth Test starts from September 02, 2021, Virat Kohli and Co. will be travelling to London’s Oval cricket ground and get themselves used to the pitch with the hopes of taking a 2-1 lead.
