Who knew that Vikrant Massey who started with catalog shoots would become one of the most liked and demanding actors in the future? From playing the hero’s best friend to being considered as the lead, Vikrant has had his own fair share of struggles and a journey that he relishes.
Vikrant is on roll as he recently appeared in the Netflix film Haseen Dillruba, and now, the viewers can see him in 14 Phere, which is streaming on ZEE5. In an interview with RJ Siddharth Kannan, he was asked to share a major lie that he has told in life.
    View this post on Instagram
Well, the thing he revealed about dating life is something we can relate to and we have been through that phase. Wondering what the lie was about? He said, "I've told so many lies. I told my friends I was dating this pretty girl who didn't give me a second glance. There were a couple of girls in school, a couple in college; they didn't care about me, but I created a fantasy in my head. I'd boast to my friends.”
Asked if he was ever caught, Vikrant continued, "One of them found out that I was spreading rumours, and she confronted me also... I look okay now... But back then it was all about looks and clothes, and I was unattractive, absolutely unattractive."

Coming to his love life, the actor is engaged to actor Sheetal Thakur. Vikrant and Sheetal, who featured together in the first season of ALTBalaji’s web series Broken But Beautiful, got engaged in the presence of close friends and family members in a private Roka ceremony in November 2019.
Talking to TOI, he had earlier said, “Agar lockdown nahi hota toh meri shaadi ho chuki hoti (If it were not for the lockdown, I would have been married by now). That’s one thing that pushed me back by a few months. I was supposed to get married to Sheetal last year, but the good thing is that I have this year to look forward to now.”

We are waiting for the official announcement by the actor for his marriage date.

After a delay of more than a year, the Tokyo Olympics was declared open by Japan's Emperor Naruhito after a grand opening ceremony at the National Stadium. Billions of Indians were glued to their TV screens just to get a glimpse of the Indian contingent taking part in the Parade of Nations.

However, they were left disappointed when the official broadcasters took off the limelight from Indian athletes by splitting the screen into two halves -- with one half showing Indian contingent, while the other half focused on the newly-appointed Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur, who was watching the live broadcast from New Delhi.

Due to increasing COVID-19 concerns, most of the Indian athletes opted out of the opening ceremony, with only a handful of them attending the gala ceremony at the Olympic Stadium in Tokyo.
So uncool that one waits for the Indian contingent to come out and then when our Olympians have their few seconds In front of us all, ⁦@SonyLIV⁩ decides to show us a close up of the I&B minister instead. Even our sports channels have gone all North Korean or what pic.twitter.com/6ZXP4In3TP
    — Mihir Sharma (@mihirssharma) July 23, 2021
The move spoiled fans’ experience and left them fuming and they took to the micro-blogging site to express their frustration. They were angry especially because they hadn't expected a private broadcaster to please the government authorities. The irony was that unlike the private broadcaster the government-owned DD Sports channel dedicated the whole screen to the Indian contingent.

A country of over 130 crore people is still considered a minnow in the world of sports and surely it can’t be because of lack of talent. On a day when the entire focus should’ve been on the athletes, our Sports Minister, who took less than a month ago, succeeded in stealing all the limelight and this incident highlights everything that’s wrong with the country.
More than talent, India has always lacked a proper mechanism to discover promising athletes in the remote areas and villages. Most of the players who take up sport don’t make this choice because they want to win medals for the country but because they think it will help them land a government job.
Waited to get a glimpse of Indian troupe, only to be treated with sports Minister's face. This is why we would never be a sporting nation. #TokyoOlympics2020 #Cheer4India
    — Bastab K Parida (@ParidaBastab) July 23, 2021As the Indian athletes walk in at #Tokyo2020 opening ceremony, Sony split the screen with Anurag Thakur occupying half of it. This explains why we are very far away from being called a proper sporting nation
    — Sidney Kiran (@Gunnersyd) July 23, 2021Just be happy Anurag Thakur wasn't carrying the flag at the march-past. #OpeningCeremony
    — Vishnu Prasad (@visheprasad) July 23, 2021Officials should only be there to help and support the athelete, Not take all the limelight themselves. Split-screen of Anurag Thakur and Indian athletes at the Olympics is not done, We are far better than this Sony.
    — Arjun (@LifeIsAnElation) July 23, 2021Couldn't even see the full contingent pic.twitter.com/6ydh934Th5
    — Trendulkar (@Trendulkar) July 23, 2021Honestly though. Are you surprised with what you saw?

If you know, you know ;)#OpeningCeremony #Tokyo2020
    — Suprita Das (@MissDasTweets) July 23, 2021This was so irritating and annoying. Focus isn’t even on athletes here. What was the need of showing Anurag Thakur here, and reducing screen size of Indian athletes!

This is what is wrong with India! Not done #Olympics #Tokyo2020 #OpeningCeremony pic.twitter.com/kOcRq63WRw
    — 𝙨𝙤𝙝𝙤𝙢 ४ (@AwaaraHoon) July 23, 2021Anurag Thakur in half the screen, meanwhile Indian sports lovers... pic.twitter.com/hZ0JyZt8Xk
    — Dumbocracy (@ItsDumbocracy) July 23, 2021So @SonySportsIndia split the screen into two equal parts - one showing Mary Kom & Amanpreet lead the Indian contingent and one for ANURAG THAKUR SHOUTING INDIA INDIA.

    I don't blame Sony but what a farce. 🤦‍♂️#Tokyo2020
    — Aryan Goel (@onegoel) July 23, 2021What a terrible disappointment @SonyLIV

We could see contingent of every country except India because you showed Anurag Thakur cheering rather than the contingent marching. Even Mary Kom wasn’t clearly visible. @Tokyo2020hi please post the video separately.
    — Sambit Nayak (@sambitnk) July 23, 2021It would be easy to blame them but the harsh reality is that they don’t have any other choice because in our country players get access to the world-class facilities only when they start winning.
These are not the things that have kept India from becoming a global sporting powerhouse. Till the time we have this VIP culture in the country, India will never become a sporting nation and by the looks of it expecting anything better would be foolish .

So, you recently started talking to someone. After all, it had been a while since you’d connected with anyone romantically. This one feels different. You may even feel like you have finally found a person to send all those risque texts and flirty memes to, without the guilt and ick that comes with it.
They’re cool. They’re cute. They’re smart. And you feel like you’ve finally found someone to be with.
But Is it THE one or is it just another someone?
There’s still a halo of uncertainty that surrounds your equation. It feels undefined and non-committal. They say they’re totally into you. However, while their words make sense, their actions beg to differ.
    A situationship feels like this.
And if this resonates with you then read ahead for the 5 signs that show that you might be stuck in a situationship:
    1. You Do Catch Feels  © iStock
Even though you’ve had conversations with them where it feels like you’re strictly casual, you end up doing everything with them that’s expected of a normal relationship.

You play along in the hopes that this might turn into something more. But the odds are not in your favour. And the worst bit is that this dissonance can really do a number on your mind.
No matter how hard you try, you do end up falling for them.
    2. Walking On Eggshells  © iStock
You’re always nervous around them, despite having discussed the rules of engagement of your equation. The uncertainty and ambiguity that situationships come with aren’t for everyone.

    3. No Consistency © iStock
Some days they seem to be the most loving and considerate person you can imagine. But other times, it feels like you’re talking to a stranger.

This inconsistency in communication makes us feel insecure in the long term.
    4. All Conversations Are Sexual © iStock
Sexual conversations are a healthy and necessary part of most adult, romantic relationships. There may be times when you wanna get frisky with each other virtually, and that’s great.

But if all conversations lead to the same end then chances are that you’re in a situationship. You’ve become convenient for them.
    5. Things Have Gotten Boring © iStock
Once the initial excitement and euphoria that comes with talking to this person have worn off, you realise there’s not much that you both had in common beyond sharing the bed on random encounters.

Because this equation has gotten comfortable and convenient, you tend to let it outlast its welcome. You find yourself increasingly bored by their presence now. You wish you hadn't but you do.
So is it official? Do you both have a tag? Or are you still meandering around that conversation in your head without much resolution?

Casual flirting on texts, late-night calls, cute meets, movie dates, first kisses and whatnot.
Dating before the pandemic was a world full of endless possibilities. The only thing one had to worry about meeting someone new was that they weren’t some psychopaths luring in to kill you. And while that worry is still valid, there are about 50 more that have been added to the list.
Never did I imagine being stuck in the confines of my home in what are supposed to be my ‘prime years’. This time was supposed to be about me putting myself out there, finding love, experiencing heartbreak and painting the town red with my escapades. But instead, what it has become is a never-ending slumber party of one with most of us turning into recycled virgins.
    © iStock
Dating had never been easy, but now, it was certainly more difficult because a person could no longer be only judged on how many typos they made, where they studied, how they looked or whether or not they were Marvel fans.

Now it was about finding what precautions they were taking to avoid getting contracted and most importantly - if they were vaccinated. And believe it or not, it’s been a pleasant change.
    © iStock
The sudden paradigm shift in the expectations of online dating has somewhat made people more aware, responsible and empathetic to the entire dating scene.

Not only is the youth mindful of the risks and precautions, they are also more upfront about what they seek in a relationship now.
    © iStock
The latest survey by Bumble in India revealed that almost 38% of the single people who were interviewed shared that getting vaccinated was now a prerequisite for them. 35% claim to have become more conscious of their safety and others after the second wave.

Safe to say, getting vaccinated is now equivalent to wearing a condom because lack of either will give you something you don’t want...
The survey by the women-first dating app also shares how nearly 74% of single Indians experienced a decline in awful dating encounters where they are catfished, ghosted or stood up much less often than before.
This has been supported by the fact that 48% of people would rather focus on a person’s personality now, than their looks.
Guess the book that was always judged by the cover is finally being opened up in this pandemic.
    © iStock
And as people trade in-person meetings with getting on zoom dates and hanging out on FaceTime, safety (especially in the case of women) is no longer a cause of concern.

48% single people have admitted to enjoying dating more since they feel safer going on that first date, without worrying about their safety. Of course, women still run the risk of receiving dick pics or being flashed.
Bumble also shared how vanity might have taken a hit, shifting focus on other important things as people get comfortable with only getting ‘partially ready’ for their dates.
    © iStock
While dating is not what it used to be, it’s somehow a lot more.

The wait, the caution and the restrictions may just have forced people to actually talk and care more about getting to know each other than getting each other to bed.

The trailer of Shilpa Shetty and Paresh Rawal’s Hungama 2 promised the fact that the movie will be a wild ride filled with humour but seems like the movie has turned to be a disappointment, as per the audience. The film also starts Meezaan Jaaferi, Pranitha Subhash, Johny Lever, Rajpal Yadav, and Ashutosh Rana in the lead roles.
The film’s plot revolves around Meezan’s character trying to disapprove that he is the father of his college sweetheart’s baby. Paresh is seen reprising his character of Radheshyam Tiwari, who is suspicious of his wife (played by Shilpa Shetty) having an affair with Meezan.

Priyadarshan’s last Bollywood release was Rangrezz in 2013. Speaking about his return to Hindi cinema, the director shared, “Over the years, the dynamics of entertainment have changed but the love for a good comedy never fades away. After receiving a spectacular response to the movie Hungama that was made years ago, we are happy to now take the story to the next level with Hungama 2 - but this time with new twists and turns but the same old hungama! When I create these movies, I feel like I am contributing to society by bringing smiles on people’s faces especially in these difficult times.”
Well, people aren’t echoing the same emotions, and here are the 3 reasons why they aren’t pleased.
    1. Shilpa Shetty’s Overacting It was after 13 years that Shilpa made a comeback but people felt that she didn’t hold an impressive actor and in fact landed up overdoing it.
    © Twitter
    2. Outdated Story A lot of critics also pointed out that the script was dated and felt like a stale wine in an old bottle. One of the users said that he felt like he was watching a movie from 20 years ago.
    © Twitter
    3. Lacks Punch or call it Hungama People added that they couldn’t find any punch in the movie as there was a lack of humour in it and it was horribly written. It lacked the charm of Priyandarshan’s original storytelling. The only thing they felt bearable was the acting put up by the actors, especially Paresh Rawal, Meezan, and Rajpal Yadav.

We’ve all had our lives upended, thanks to the pandemic. We find ourselves reaching out for comfort foods and snacks to distract ourselves. But over time, these eating habits can cause great harm to your body.
Here are seven healthy eating habits that will keep you fit and healthy for life.
Avoid Cleanses - There might be a lot of fads and trends that might promise you the world, but be wary of them. Drinking cucumber juice or watermelon juice or whatever is the pick of the week for a couple of weeks is actually extremely harmful for you.
    © iStock
Add Protein - You’ve been told this since you were young. Proteins are essential to building a healthy body, as it is used to build and sustain healthy bones, muscles and skin. You can add protein to your diet through various sources like meat, dairy products, beans and nuts.

    © iStock
Portion Control - It’s going to be really difficult but portion control is essential for a healthier life. As this will empower you to eat more things you want and like, without fear of over indulging and causing harm to your body.

    © iStock
Commit to a lifestyle - The reasons why many people resort to dieting fads is because they are always looking for a quick fix to their unhealthy lives. This is counterproductive. Instead try to build better habits, adding changes to your life incrementally so that it’s easier and healthier to sustain

    © iStock
Eat Green - Thankfully most Indian recipes include green ingredients. Green veggies are loaded with vitamins, minerals and fibres. They can reduce your risk of obesity, heart disease and various other illnesses.

    © iStock
Fibre Is Your Friend - Fibre improves your gut health by reducing the digestive stresses on your body and keeps you feeling fuller for longer, thus ensuring you stay away from needless junk foods. Fibre helps improve digestion and reduces constipation.

    © iStock
Cut Down On Sugar - Sugar’s a weakness for many because we’ve all got a sweet tooth. But while it may taste good, it’s not healthy for you at all. Processed, refined sugar can cause headaches and make you feel low on energy. Eliminating sugar from your diet reduces inflammation in your body.

With these small tweaks, you can add good health and happiness to your life.

There are only a few things more devastating and heartbreaking than receding hairline and thinning hair. The mere sight of finding hair strands everywhere you look can send you into panic mode.
Stress, environmental aggressors and the use of hair products laden with chemicals every day doesn't help the situation, rather it makes it worse.
    © iStock
If you are dealing with a hair loss situation and fear you’ll lose all your locks soon, it’s probably time to pull up your socks and take your haircare a bit seriously.

You don’t have to invest in more haircare products or spare time for salon appointments to get your hair back to health. All you need is to trust the good old natural oils that your mom and grandma have been asking you to use since forever.
    © iStock
These natural oils are packed with hair-loving properties and a good head massage with one of these oils can make a big difference to your mane.

    © iStock
Here are 4 natural hair oils that are extremely good for hair growth and can make your hair loss problem go away in no time:

    1. Almond Oil © iStock
You probably already have a bottle of almond oil in your home (check your mom’s shelf) so, you don’t really go far to get a luscious, healthy mane.

Almond oil is rich in magnesium, calcium and zinc which makes hair stronger and prevents hair loss. It is a known ingredient for fast hair growth and thicker locks. Use it twice a week before hair wash.
    2. Neem Oil © iStock
Neem oil is a potent hair care ingredient that can prevent baldness and thinning and helps the regrowth of new hair.

Since neem has high fatty acid content, you can rely on it for healthy and faster hair growth. It also keeps dandruff and scalp infections in check, maintaining the overall health of hair.
    3. Argan Oil © iStock
The lesser-known hair hero, argan oil is a natural moisturiser that nourishes the scalp, strengthens hair follicles and stimulates hair growth.

It also reduces breakage and split ends, giving you manageable and healthy-looking hair. Incorporate a head massage with argan oil once a week for thicker and stronger hair.
    4. Castor Oil  © iStock
For those who are trying to grow their hair longer, castor oil is your best bet. It is known to help grow hair by a centimetre a month.

Apart from improving the density of hair follicles and keeping the scalp nourished, castor oil can make you grow your hair longer at a much faster rate than any other hair care product. Add some onion juice to it for added benefits and quicker results.

Rahul Dravid’s unbeaten run as the head coach of the Indian cricket team came to an end on Friday as Sri Lanka won the third ODI by three wickets.

Known for his humble nature, Dravid is one of the most respected names in world cricket and many believe he is the front-runner to become India’s next head coach. Since retiring from international cricket, the former batting great has shaped careers of many youngsters, like Prithvi Shaw, Shubman Gill, in the country and fans love whatever he does on and off the field.
    © Reuters
During the third ODI against Sri Lanka, Dravid’s gesture towards opposition skipper Dasun Shanka went viral on the micro-blogging site and fans praised the legend for having a word with Sri Lanka’s newly-appointed ODI captain during the rain break.

Sri Lankan were going through a tough time, registering only one win this year in the 50-over format prior to this game. Leading the side for the first time, Shanaka came under heavy criticism especially after the manner in which they lost the second ODI, despite being in the driver’s seat for the majority of the game.
    © Twitter/BCCI
He even got into a heated argument with their head coach Mickey Arthur after the heartbreaking loss and fans loved it when they saw Dravid interacting with him during the rain break.

While it was hard to say what Dravid said to him, it definitely paid immediate dividends as Sri Lanka bounced back strongly after the rain break and pushed the visitors on the backfoot.
    View this post on Instagram
When the rain interrupted the play, India were 147 for 3 from 23 overs, perhaps Dravid weaved magic with his words and and the Islanders cleaned up the Shikhar Dhawan-led side for 225 runs and went on to chase down the target with three wickets left.
Both Indian and Sri Lankan fans hailed Dravid’s kind gesture and at the same time mocked Arthur who had clashed with his own player just because things hadn't gone his way in the previous game.

LG made a face mask last year that looked like something Bane would wear while facing Batman in Gotham. However, now the company has announced a new iteration of the futuristic face mask that comes with an built-in air purifier. The new design of the face mask is far less scary as it gets rid of the side plates that made it look scary in the first place.
    © LG
The new mask will first launch in Thailand and then might make its way to the rest of the world.  It’s smaller in size even though it has the same dual-fan tech as the original PuriCare face mask. These fans control the airflow automatically by “sensing the user’s breathing patterns to make breathing easier and more natural.”

I don’t know about you, but the new PuriCare face mask might be the perfect thing to get due to the current COVID-19 situation. It’s even perfect for users in India who do not want to be exposed to highly polluted air in cities like New Delhi. What’s great about the updated face mask is that it doesn’t look too out of this world and resembles a normal face mask. The biggest upgrade is the fact that it comes with microphones and speakers so that a user can easily communicate with others.
The new face mask also comes with a 1,000 mAh battery which means it can last for about 8 hours on a single charge. The face mask takes two hours to fully charge once the battery has been depleted.
    © LG
LG says that users can hold a full conversation without ever taking the mask off. The company also said that the new face mask’s sound system hit a 0.75 (Excellent) rating on the Korea Electronics Technology Institute’s Sound Transmission Index. While this mask is perfect for everybody, the company is currently focusing on athletes. In fact, the Thai Olympic team wore the mask as well to promote the product before they embarked on the journey.
LG hasn’t mentioned whether the new PuriCare mask actually prevents COVID-19 as the company is still conducting extensive studies. While most air purifiers are able to target harmful particles, LG will not confirm anything about preventing the spread of COVID-19 with the PuriCare right now.
The PuriCare may launch in other regions depending on local regulators, however the company has not provided any information about which countries might get the PuriCare next.
