    Since becoming Indian captain, Virat Kohli has taken the national team to great heights, winning series in different parts of the world, playing in some of the most hostile conditions. 
    Under Kohli, the Indian team is known for playing a fearless brand of cricket wherever they go, irrespective of the venue and opposition. 
    In a short span of time, Kohli has become India’s most successful Test captain, something not many expected of him when he was handed the responsibility to lead the side. 
    Not just with his batting, Kohli has also proved his critics wrong by his immaculate leadership skills.

    Former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar was among those who had their doubts whether Kohli would be able to become a successful captain or not. 

    During an interview, Akhtar acknowledged that he was sceptical of Kohli becoming the captain and was of the opinion that he would succumb to the constant pressure from the fans and the media and it will affect his individual performance.
    The former speedster also claimed that he even told Anushka Sharma that Kohli was making a big mistake and instead of becoming the captain, he should have focused on his batting.

    “I think Virat (Kohli) has done a wonderful job as a captain. I said it to Anushka Sharma in a Sony show - ‘I think Virat is making a mistake by being a captain. He shouldn’t have done that.     Despite Akhtar's strong claims, the fans weren’t ready to believe a single word that he said because. Some couldn’t believe that he actually got in touch with Anushka, while another user joked that even if he did there was no way she would’ve recognised and entertained him.

    OnePlus was caught throttling the performance of its latest flagship phone i.e. the OnePlus 9 Series which resulted in the phone being removed from Geekbench for manipulating benchmark scores. The phones were removed as they did not show the true potential of the smartphone and only worked in performance mode in whitelisted apps.

    Now, the company has admitted that it indeed throttled the performance of its phones and will be looking to fix the problem in a future update. OnePlus is now planning to add an option for users to turn off this optimised mode in OxygenOS.

    The company revealed in an interview with Android Police that the toggle for turning off the throttling mode will arrive in a future update. However, the catch here is that it won’t arrive as a part of an update for OxygenOS 11. This means that OnePlus users currently running OxygenOS 11 will have to wait for months to utilise their device’s full potential. This also extends to devices such as the OnePlus 9R, the Nord 2, Nord CE and other OnePlus phones that are running OxygenOS 11. 

    OnePlus will be adding the ability to turn off optimised mode with OxygenOS 12 which means it will not include users who cannot upgrade to OxygenOS 12. Older OnePlus phones will probably still be throttled if they don’t get the OxygenOS 12 update. OnePlus has a spotty record of bringing new OS updates to its older smartphones where it is often severely delayed.

    “Since different chips perform differently and we want to make sure to get the best performance and efficiency out of each one, we’ve implemented performance optimisations to varying degrees on the OnePlus 9R and Nord 2,” OnePlus told Android Police. 

    “However, given the clear feedback from users and media, our R&D team is currently working to add an option to let users turn on/ off this optimised mode and have better control over the performance of their phones. We’re targeting to have this solution ready with one of the first builds of OxygenOS 12”, OnePlus added.
    It will be interesting to see how OnePlus phones perform after turning off the optimised mode and whether it will have a drastic impact on the battery life. Having said that, it is clear that OnePlus will only add this feature once OxygenOS 12 is made available and it seems like we won’t be seeing a stable build until 2022.

    Businessman and actress Shilpa Shetty’s husband, Raj Kundra, is in a legal soup involving him being accused of making pornographic content. The latest details involved the Mumbai crime branch raiding one of his properties and finding out server and over 70 porn films shot by his PA.

    He is going to be presented in the court today and statements of actresses Sherlyn Chopra and Poonam Pandey also convey how they blamed him for misusing their legal contracts and content they shot with his media company.
    Amidst him trending across social media, an old interview with Filmfare has surfaced where he speaks about his roots and how hating poverty forced him to become rich. "I come from a humble background. My dad moved to London 45 years ago and worked as a bus conductor whereas my mother worked in a factory. We never had it easy. I've been a self-made man since I left college at the age of 18. Whenever Shilpa checks me for spending carelessly, I tell her I have no qualms about enjoying the money I have made. My anger pushed me. I hated poverty so much that I wanted to become rich. And I did make a difference to my life. Shilpa respected me for that as she’s self-made too,” he said.

    Raj was a London-based businessman when he met Shilpa and fell in love with her. He was married before and divorced his first wife before settling down in Mumbai with Shilpa. Earlier yesterday, reports of him bribing the crime branch with Rs 25 lakh came up in an email exchange record found by the police. The man who sent these mails was Yash Thakur, another accused in the case. However, the claims were dubbed to be too raw and naïve and weren’t concrete as a proof. The police have already cleared the air that no involvement of his wife Shilpa has been observed in this case.

    Shilpa Shetty’s husband Raj Kundra landed in troubled waters after he was arrested in connection to producing pornographic content. Kundra has been named as the key conspirator by the police in the case and has been booked under sections 420 (cheating), 34 (common intention), 292 and 293 (related to obscene and indecent advertisements and displays) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) besides relevant sections of the IT Act and the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act.

    He is being bashed by the general public for ruining lives and producing such content. Now, Gehana Vasisth who has been talking about the case ever since he has been arrested has spoken in favour of Raj Kundra. Gehana is out on bail on the same case. She has revealed Kundra was planning to launch an app and had cast his sister-in-law Shamita Shetty for a film.
    She told Navbharat Times in an interview, "Just a few days before his arrest, I went to his office. There, I got to know that he is planning to launch an app called Bollyfame. He was planning to do chat shows, reality shows, music videos and feature films for the app. There was no plan of involving 'bold scenes' in these films."

    She further added, “We also discussed the scripts. Then we thought about casting Shamita Shetty for one script, Sai Tamhankar and two other artists for another. I was supposed to direct these films and was thinking about it just a few days before his arrest.”

    About Shilpa Shetty’s involvement in the case, police said they haven’t been able to find any link-ups that shows her involvement in it. "We have not been able to any find any active role (of Shilpa Shetty) yet. We are investigating. We will appeal to the victims to come forward and contact the Crime Branch Mumbai and we’ll take appropriate action," joint commissioner of police (Crime), Milind Bharambe said as per Hindustan Times.

    Steve Jobs’ handwritten job application is up for auction once again. However, this time bidders can buy the original document as an NFT or even the original document itself. The owner of the job application is trying to sell the job application in an effort to find out which version holds more value.

    The one-page job application was created by Jobs after he dropped out of Reed College and three years after he co-founded Apple. The application does not mention the position nor the company Jobs was trying to apply to but it does say that he was interested in electronics tech or design engineer position. In the application, he included skills such as computer and calculator experience. The job application shows that Jobs applied for the job in 1979.

    An NFT is a unit of data stored on a blockchain that certifies digital assets to be unique and not interchangeable. NFTs can be used to sell items such as photos, videos, audio files or any other type of audio file. NFTs are tracked on blockchain to provide the buyer proof of ownership. However, this is not the same as owning the copyright. Copies of the digital items are available for anyone to obtain and access to the original digital file is not only restricted to the buyer. 

    NFTs work similarly to cryptocurrency tokens; however, the main difference is that NFTs are not mutually interchangeable like Cryptocurrencies. Digital Art has been an early use case for NFTs because of its ability to assure unique signature and ownership.

    The auction website says that it's selling the real copy and a digital version to find out which holds more value. It also gives the owner a way to make more money from a single document. The auction ends in 5 days and is set to close on July 28th. Steve Jobs’ hand-written job application previously fetched 162,000 pounds (about ₹1.6 crores) in an auction in March 2021. The same job application was previously auctioned for over $175,000 (about 1.2 crores) in 2018.

    Indian weddings are fun and entertaining at the same time. Even though the celebration is supposed to be about two people in love, it mostly ends up being about cocktail nights, sangeet ceremonies, food and, of course, gifts. 
    Besides getting blessings from their relatives, the bride and groom also receive gifts in the form of money or home decor, etc. But when it comes to friends, they often leave no chance to embarrass their mate.

    The groom's friends gave an absurd gift to the bride, and it was her priceless reaction that's winning social media. 

    In the viral video, the bride and the groom sit next to each other on the stage while the friends congratulate the couple. They also gift something to the bride, and as soon as she opens it, her face turns red with ire, and she throws the gift.  
    The friends had gifted them a baby feeding bottle, which left the bride fuming as she did not see anything funny about it. 
    So, after chucking the present, the friends pick it up and give it to her again, only to make her more furious.

    This video garnered more than 10 million views within no time and has more than 3.17 Lakh likes. 
    One user wrote in the comments, "Everyone is respected, don't hurt anyone for ur fun." while others took a jibe at her for not being able to take the joke.

    The rumours of Indian cricketer KL Rahul dating Athiya Shetty have been doing rounds for a long time.

    It is well-known that Rahul and Athiya both are in the United Kingdom right now. While Rahul is there with the Indian cricket team, Athiya has apparently gone on a holiday with her brother Ahan Shetty.

    “The players were supposed to give the names of whether they would be travelling with wives or partners, for which KL Rahul listed Athiya Shetty as his partner. She travelled in the same bubble and stayed in Southampton with the team,” the report added. 
    Earlier, Suniel Shetty opened up about his daughter and her rumoured boyfriend during an interview after both of them were chosen as brand ambassadors of an international eyewear brand.

    He has been denying all the allegations leveled against him. According to the new updates as per ANI, Raj bribed officials of the Mumbai Police with Rs 25 lakh to evade arrest.
    "ACB Maharashtra has confirmed that they received four emails from Arvind Shrivastava alias Yash Thakur in this regard, but his allegations of seeking a bribe from him and allegations against Raj Kundra bribing to evade arrest were quite vague in nature. The mails were forwarded to the Mumbai Police for further action on April 30, 2021," an ACB official was quoted as saying by ANI.
    Raj Kundra’s lawyer Abad Ponda went on to claim that the content might be vulgar in nature but can not be considered porn. He said, “The IT Act sections can't be read with IPC sections, but here the police have done this. Section 67A of the IT Act talks about sexually explicit acts. Only the actual... intercourse can be considered porn. Rest all is just vulgar content.”

    He further added, “Police is following what web series are doing these days - vulgar content. But that's not really classified as porn. Nothing in this remand shows that two people actually indulged in act of intercourse. If it's not actual intercourse, it's not classified as porn.”
    He also questioned the arrest of Raj Kundra and said, “Police custody should be an exception and not a norm. Arrest should be made only when the investigation cannot move further without the arrest. In this case, the accused was made to join the investigation once he was arrested. The arrest wasn't made as per law.”

    It has been a little over two and a half months since two-time Indian Olympic medallist Sushil Kumar was accused of murdering a fellow wrestler Sagar Rana by beating him to a pulp with a stick and asking one of his goons to record the whole act on video.
    Since then, Kumar has run away, deceived and escaped the Delhi Police, and was ultimately caught, smack in the middle of a highway. After being arrested, Kumar’s case has been making constant rounds of the judicial court and his custody is being played hot potato with, between the judicial system and the law enforcers.

    Finally, it was decided that Kumar will be transferred to Tihar Jail, one of the biggest prisons in the world where the most dangerous, and evidently the most important criminals are kept and if you are really lucky (or have achieved celebrity status), you will get to make unnecessary demands as a prisoner and your wishes will come true.
    Kumar has all of the above and so when the wrestler made a request to have a television set up for him to watch the 2020 edition of the Olympics in Tokyo, the men at Tihar said “Sure! Why not?”

    "We are hoping for justice. Where did he go when he was absconding, who gave him shelter, and most importantly the gangsters with whom he is connected to. He should be hanged so that people learn a lesson and think before killing his own pupil," said Rana’s father.
