The trailer of Shilpa Shetty and Paresh Rawal’s Hungama 2 promised the fact that the movie will be a wild ride filled with humour but seems like the movie has turned to be a disappointment, as per the audience. The film also starts Meezaan Jaaferi, Pranitha Subhash, Johny Lever, Rajpal Yadav, and Ashutosh Rana in the lead roles.
The film’s plot revolves around Meezan’s character trying to disapprove that he is the father of his college sweetheart’s baby. Paresh is seen reprising his character of Radheshyam Tiwari, who is suspicious of his wife (played by Shilpa Shetty) having an affair with Meezan.
View this post on InstagramPriyadarshan’s last Bollywood release was Rangrezz in 2013. Speaking about his return to Hindi cinema, the director shared, “Over the years, the dynamics of entertainment have changed but the love for a good comedy never fades away. After receiving a spectacular response to the movie Hungama that was made years ago, we are happy to now take the story to the next level with Hungama 2 - but this time with new twists and turns but the same old hungama! When I create these movies, I feel like I am contributing to society by bringing smiles on people’s faces especially in these difficult times.”
Well, people aren’t echoing the same emotions, and here are the 3 reasons why they aren’t pleased.
1. Shilpa Shetty’s OveractingIt was after 13 years that Shilpa made a comeback but people felt that she didn’t hold an impressive actor and in fact landed up overdoing it.

A lot of critics also pointed out that the script was dated and felt like a stale wine in an old bottle. One of the users said that he felt like he was watching a movie from 20 years ago.

People added that they couldn’t find any punch in the movie as there was a lack of humour in it and it was horribly written. It lacked the charm of Priyandarshan’s original storytelling. The only thing they felt bearable was the acting put up by the actors, especially Paresh Rawal, Meezan, and Rajpal Yadav.
