A Twitter thread has been getting a lot of attention on social media in which fans of cricket have been using the best of their creative abilities to come up with words and phrases that can be used while playing the game of cricket and/or... ***.
What’s the word that you can say both during *** and cricket?
    — Rajabets 🇮🇳 (@smileandraja) July 12, 2021
There are certain topics that make them rise to the occasion, put in the work and bring out the best in them and comparing *** to cricket is most definitely one of them. Here’s how some of the most hilarious people in the thread responded:

    Do you want third man?
    — Sir William The III (@carcinogenicvy) July 12, 2021
It's often that a third man isn’t made a part of the positions set in place but whenever the wicket-keepers need some extra help behind themselves, an additional pair of hands can do a lot of essential work.
De Kock is having a wonderful day
    — ANOOP (@ANOOP18660127) July 12, 2021
After all, Quinton de Kock is not only a great batsman on the field, he also happens to be a former captain of the South African side. It is common for him to have “wonderful days” while at work.
    And the finger goes up
    — Prasad (@prasadu07) July 12, 2021
That moment every bowler plays the game of cricket for. Begging, appealing to the umpire to raise that finger of his. It has got to be the most amazing feeling in the world, as the teammates run from all over the field to celebrate with high-fives and hugs.
    second innings would be great.
    — Savage (@CutestFunniest) July 13, 2021
Many believe that while the first innings can tell a lot of things about a batter and their capabilities on the ground, it is the second innings that ensures their credibility as a top-tier performer. An early wicket can lead to losing an important match but with practice and dedication, long batting sessions are possible.
    Boys played well
    — Pranjal Rawat (@IntrovertRawat) July 12, 2021 Sometimes an individual cricketer does well and leads the team to a great performance, other times, it has got to be the entire team that needs to put in the work in order to achieve success and deliver at a high level.
    Thats the sweet spot
    — ANOOP (@ANOOP18660127) July 12, 2021When the batter perfectly times their shots and connects at the right spot, the outcome has got to be ideal. Batters spend hours, sometimes even days practicing their strokes by themselves just to have that one perfect shot.
    Come on ash

In order to stabilise and regulate the growing population in the state of Uttar Pradesh, the Yogi Adityanath led government has proposed a bill on population control. The bill has already sparked off a big debate as it claims that anyone having more than two offspring will be exiled from enjoying state government benefits or even be eligible for a government job.

Gorapkhpur MP and famous Bhojpuri actor Ravi Kishan will be introducing the Population Bill in the Monsoon session of the parliament. This has sparked off a debate on the internet because interestingly, the man himself is a father to four children.

    — उग्रनाथ झा (@ugranath) July 13, 2021It just shows the mindset. They don't really care about population. Their ONLY aim is to create Hindu-muslim debate on this too..

Apart from law, need to educate women. Also, inflation and over competition will anyways decrease birth rate in coming years.
@ravikishann
    — शुभम सिंह (@bvki97) July 12, 2021While a lot of people called it a hypocritical stand on the MP’s front, some people urged others to look at the other side and supported this stance completely.
You cannot amend the mistakes of the past but one can surely make course correction for the future. Obviously ,our forefathers had had a number of child that never means we should not take the steps for population control.
    — A K JHA (@Akhiles06882132) July 12, 2021My parents have three children then they have no right to support this bill or urge the Govt to introduce the bill, are you saying that Sir?
    — Ritam Kr Dutta (@ImHRitaM007) July 12, 2021Sir I understand it’s funny & ironic that people with more than 2 kids are now propounding these ideas but at the same time, population control is needed more than ever in our nation. One can easily compare India’s size & population to other big countries & find huge differences.
    — the reservation chacha (@GyaanduLadka) July 12, 2021India is still a long way from accepting bills which support population control. In a land where the desire to produce a son still continues to be the reason why so many parts of India have a high female foeticide rate, educating people to stabilise population will take a lot of effort from the government’s end.

Airtel is currently testing its 5G network in Mumbai’s Lower Parel area using Nokia’s 5G equipment and managed to achieve a download speed of 1.2 Gbps. A video of the speed test taken during Airtel’s 5G network trial was shared and showed that the telecom company managed to achieve the download speed with ultra-low-latency. In the same test, Airtel was also able to achieve an upload speed of 850 Mbps.

Airtel surpassed the download speed of 1 Gbps previously during a 5G network trail in Gurgaon’s Cyber Hub area. Airtel will now start conducting 5G network trials in Kolkata soon. Earlier this year, Airtel became the first telecom operator to successfully demonstrate live 5G service over a commercial network. Airtel conducted the demonstration in Hyderabad using the 1800 MHz band via the NSA (Non-Stand Alone) network technology.

The Department of Telecommunication (DoT) has given permission to Telecom providers to test the use and application of 5G networks in India. Telecom providers have also been given permission to test 5G networks in partnership with equipment manufactures such as Ericsson, Nokia, Samsung and C-DOT. It is worth pointing out that Chinese telecom equipment manufacturers such as Huawei and ZTE have not been granted the same permission for testing 5G networks in India.
Telecom operators such as Airtel have been granted a period of 6 months to test 5G networking which includes a time period of 2 months to procure and set up the equipment. Reliance Jio has also been conducting trials of its 5G network that has been developed indigenously. Jio is also looking to partner with Nokia, Samsung and Ericsson for conducting trials in other cities.

It is worth pointing out that Airtel has been allotted a 5G trial spectrum in 3,500 MHz, 28 GHz and 700 MHz bands, while Reliance Jio and Vodafone Idea (Vi) have been allotted 5G trail spectrums in 700 MHz, 3.5 GHz and 26 GHz bands.

India may have already set a date for the launch of 5G services in the country and reports speculate that Prime Minister Modi will himself announce its deployment on the occasion of India’s 75th anniversary of Independence.
If you want to know when exactly 5G services are rumoured to launch in India, check out our report here.

Health is an important part of everyone’s life. From trying to get fitter to improving your mental health, this pandemic has taught us the importance of good health.

While we all know how important exercising is, we often forget the value of good nutrition. In fact, eating right is the first and the most important step of the journey.
Amongst other factors that contribute to good health, heart health is one of the most important ones.
But how can one improve their cardiovascular health through food?
By keeping your cholesterol levels under control. Here’s how:
    What Is Cholesterol?  © iStock
Cholesterol is a substance that is produced in the liver and can also be obtained externally through food. Cholesterol has numerous functions in the body. It helps in production of *** hormones, tissues and bile in the liver. Cholesterol is also used by nerve cells for insulation and is important for making Vitamin D too.

    Types Of Cholesterol © iStock
We all know that eating too many fatty foods can increase your cholesterol levels. However, did you know that some types of cholesterol are actually necessary for good heart health?

    © iStock
Cholesterol moves in the body through lipoproteins. These lipoproteins are commonly distinguished as LDLs and HDLs:

LDLs or Low Density Lipoproteins are popularly known as ‘bad cholesterol’. LDLs can stick to the walls of the arteries and increase your risk of heart attacks. Saturated and trans fats are often linked with increasing LDL levels in the body. These fats should be minimised in your diet.
HDLs or High Density Lipoproteins are popularly known as ‘good cholesterol’. HDLs help in taking the LDLs away from the walls of arteries and are important for a healthy heart. Higher levels of HDLs reduces the risk of heart diseases.
Reducing LDLs and increasing HDLs is extremely important and here are some foods that will help you do that:
    1. Oats Oats are a great source of soluble fiber and soluble fiber reduces the absorption of LDLs by the blood stream. You should get at least 5-10 grams of soluble fiber in a day for the required effect.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__2054__
    2. Whole Grain Foods We’ve all heard that eating whole foods is healthier than refined and processed foods. This is mainly because of the amount of soluble fiber they deliver. This is what reduces the risk of heart diseases.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__2055__
    3. Almonds & Walnuts Nuts, especially almonds and walnuts, help in reducing bad cholesterol levels. Walnuts are a great source of monounsaturated fats and omega-3, which are linked with good heart health.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__2056__
Almonds, on the other hand, are rich in L-arginine which helps in regulating blood pressure. In fact, most varieties of nuts are rich in phytosterols, which is similar to cholesterol and helps in reducing LDL in the bloodstream.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__2057__
    4. Cocoa Not all healthy things taste bad and cocoa is one of them. You can indulge in some yummy dark chocolate now and then because there are plenty of studies that have proved that cocoa lowers the levels of LDLs in the blood.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__2058__
    5. Tea Tea regulates blood pressure and inhibits cholesterol synthesis which helps in reducing blood clots and keeps the heart healthy. There are also some studies which link tea with lowering LDL.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__2059__
Green tea is the most popular choice, however black and white tea also have similar effects.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__2060__
    6. Olive Oil Most oils used for cooking are rich in fats and olive is undoubtedly the best choice for your heart. A recent study concluded that extra virgin olive oil helps in reducing the risk of heart diseases by 30%.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__559__
    7. Garlic Garlic is popularly used in many Indian dishes. Luckily, it’s actually good for your heart. A recent study suggested that garlic supplements can help in reducing blood pressure and regulating serum cholesterol levels.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__2061__
Key To A Healthy Heart? Remember that these foods alone cannot help your heart stay in the best shape. In fact, focussing on your exercise regimen is also equally important. Make sure to practise moderation while enjoying these foods or else you may face some side effects because of overindulging.
Now that you know the secret, go on and improve your diet by adding these foods to reduce bad cholesterol.

Google CEO Sundar Pichai admitted in an interview with the BCC that he is a little “jealous” of fellow tech tycoon Jeff Bezos’ upcoming space flight. The Amazon founder and his brother are slated to fly on the first human flight of the New Shepard spacecraft designed by Bezos’ Blue Origin space-exploration company.
"Well, I'm jealous a little bit". The Google CEO added that he would love to see how Earth looks from space.
The ‘New Shepard’ vehicle can fly six passengers and will base the crew 62 miles (100km) above the Earth’s surface which will be higher than Branson’s maiden flight earlier this week. The rocket is expected to take off from Blue Origin’s launch site in the Guadalupe Mountains, Texas.
    © Blue Origin
Bezos’ flight will take place about a week after Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic flight on Sunday. Elon Musk’s space firm is also working on ways to make commercial civilian space touring a reality.

While other billionaires are looking to space, Google and Mr Pichai do not have any such plans. Google has been focusing on the upper atmosphere with its Loon internet project where the company flew giant balloons that would transmit the internet to the people below.
Apart from talking about Bezos’ upcoming space flight, Pichai also spoke about other issues. "Seeing the morgue trucks parked around the world during COVID. And seeing what's happened in India over the past month," Pichai said on what made him cry recently.
    © Reuters
Pichai also warned of threats to online freedom. “Many countries are restricting the flow of information, and the model is often taken for granted.”

Remembering his Tamil Nadu roots, the CEO of both Google and its parent company Alphabet has said that India is deeply rooted in him and is a big part of who he is.
“I’m an American citizen but India is deeply within me. So it’s a big part of who I am,” Pichai said. He also urged democratic countries to stand up against the control of internet freedom while speaking to the BBC.
It is worth pointing out that Pichai’s comments come as social media platforms, search engines, news publishers and OTT websites are dealing with India’s new IT rules, introduced by the Government last month.

Jimmy Sheirgill completed 25 years in Bollywood this year. He made his acting debut in the year 1996 with the film Maachis but only made a breakthrough in 2000 with the film Mohabbatein.

He expressed how he didn’t have the luxury to wait for lead roles and took anything interesting that came his way. He said that he didn’t focus on only playing lead roles.
He has played prominent supporting roles in many hit films including Munna Bhai MBBS, Hum Tum, Tanu Weds Manu, and Special 26.

Recently, in an interview with radio host Siddharth Kannan, he was asked how he managed to be a part of Bollywood for such a long period of time.

He said, “Mera toh iss industry mein koi nahi tha toh mujhe isi tareeke se apna career dikha, ki kahin kuch interesting mila woh kar liya, yeh nahi socha ki main sirf hero hi karunga aur uske baad phir do saal ghar pe baitha reh gaya. Woh sab luxury mere paas nahi thi isliye mujhe woh saare roles choose karne pade jo maine kiye finally (I did not have a godfather in this industry so I just took up any interesting roles that came my way. I did not think that I would only play the hero and then sat at home for two years waiting. I did not have that luxury, so I chose the roles I ended up doing).”

He further added, “Kai baar log mereko poochte hai, ‘Aapko kya zaroorat thi? Aap achcha bhala hero ka role kar rahe the. Aapko yeh chhota role karne ki kya zaroorat thi? Usse aap typecast ho gaye, uss wajah se aapko aise roles milte hai’ (People often ask me why I took up small roles after playing the lead role and tell me that I got typecast in supporting roles). I turn around and say, ‘Boss, at that point of time, that was the best option for me and I chose it and I went ahead and did it. I am proud and glad that I did that.’ That’s how it has been, it’s not that I have got anything on a platter.”
Jimmy was recently seen in the film Collar Bomb alongside Asha Negi. He has a huge fan following and many of his fans also believe that he is an underrated actor.
