    While many waited for Italy to take on England for the Euro 2020 finals, history was being made in a different continent. Lionel Messi finally got the redemption arc he deserved. The diminutive wizard had at last won a continental trophy with the Argentine National Team. An honour that had eluded him for all of his career up until that moment.

    While Messi had been the standout performer throughout the Copa America, it was Neymar who stepped up to the plate during the finals and became a constant thorn in the side of his opponents. 
    His time at Barcelona honed Neymar from being a diamond in the rough to becoming a bonafide world beater. Over there he struck up a precious friendship with Barca’s talisman. Messi’s influence on Neymar further propelled his mentality to stratospheric levels.

    The Neymar we saw in the finals was a version of him that’s been long in the making. We’d seen flashes of his limitless talent time and again, especially when he had single handedly led The La Remontada For Barcelona against his current employers PSG. 

    The Brazillian superstar had always been a passionate candidate for flair, but it was something else that truly won him the respect and admiration that long eluded him. There seemed to be a certain maturity that graced the fleet footed trickster’s game now.

    Although people are loving the trailer of Bhuj: The Pride Of India, there are a few who have noticed the rather over the top dialogues. This may be an indication of how the film might turn out to be.

    Given that this is a Bollywood film, it has to have masala, even though at the end of the day, this is a patriotic film, that does not necessarily need it. Moreover, expecting Bollywood to stay true to real incidents without adding its own colours is naive.


    Here are a few of the other things that the makers of Bhuj: The Pride Of India, got wrong, at least in the trailer.
    1. Women Were The Real Heroes © Wiki Commons
    First and foremost, the women of the villages surrounding Bhuj, mainly Madhapur, were the real heroes of this story. They rebuilt an entire runway, in record time so that the Indian Air Force could mount an attack. And while they were rebuilding the runway, the Pakistani Air Force was continuously flying over the area, and sometimes, attacking the portions that were rebuilt. All this, in the bone-chilling winters of Bhuj. In contrast, the trailer shows the women rebuilding the runway, for just a few seconds.

    2. The Air Station Was Understaffed To Begin With © Disney + HotStar
    The trailer will have you believe that the airbase was housing a lot of people when it was attacked. Again, this isn’t accurate. The Bhuj Air Force base was actually understaffed at the time of the attack. Yes, there were some human casualties, but it wasn’t nearly as much as the trailer would have you believe. Because the station was understaffed, Squadron Leader Vijay Karnik was struggling to bring the aircraft on the runway to safety.

    3. The Unnecessary MasalaFrom the looks of it, we have Nora Fatehi in the film playing a spy, who ultimately gets martyred. Now, we get the reason behind such an addition to the story and agree that it indeed makes the experience more cinematic. But was it necessary? Was all that masala indeed needed?
    4. The Fast & Furious Like Stunts © Disney + HotStar
    Let’s not even get started on the stunts that we have seen in the trailer. First of all, back then, the western theatre of the India-Pakistan war saw Pakistan sending their fleet of Sabre aircrafts and Chinese-made MiGs. India’s main workhorse for aerial combats was the Sukhoi Su-7. Irrespective of their expertise in flying these aircrafts, back then, no pilot would have dared to get physically close to another flying aircraft, as they have shown in the trailer.

    5. The Plane Crashing Into The Car © Disney + HotStar
    Also, we see Ajay Devgn driving head-on into a crashing plane at a very high speed in a Willys Jeep. There’s no chance that anybody could have survived that. Squadron Leader Vijay Karnik, the Air Force officer that Ajay Devgn is playing retired in 1986, almost a decade and a half after the war. Stunts and action sequences are cool and everything, but what are the filmmakers trying to do here?

    The bottom line…
    Bhuj: The Pride Of India will have great numbers, for sure. At the end of the day, this is a patriotic film, that is based on a true story. Filmmakers often take creative liberties and that is fine. We have to ask ourselves though, is it really necessary to do so for a film like this, with a story that is already so gripping? And if yes, to what extent?

    Sometimes there comes a movie which looks like an entertainer on the surface, has good music and also offers a stellar star cast. Then you start watching it and you realise that while the movie is well made, it is also a very realistic projection of how a dysfunctional family system works.

    The character played by Fawad Khan in Kapoor & Sons, that of Arjun, the quintessential favourite child of the two siblings and someone who is trying to open up to his family about his same-*** relationship, the movie did a good job is showing how most Indian families look like.
    Fawad won many accolades and critical acclaim for playing his part so well, but before he was chosen for the role, producer Karan Johar and director Shakun Batra mentioned in several interviews that a few actors who were originally approached for the role had turned it down. Here are the 5 actors who reportedly turned down the role:

    For some reason, many people get offended whenever Indian space enthusiasts speak of just how cheap or pocket-friendly India’s space programme is.

    We have sent missions to the moon and to Mars for less money than it took Warner Brothers Pictures to make the 2013 film, Gravity, and trust us when we say, this is actually a matter of pride, more than people realise.

    The thing is, that when commercial space transportation is concerned, India’s Indian Space Research Organisation or ISRO, is already miles ahead of any of its major competitors, including NASA.

    So in the future, when commercial space transportation becomes mainstream, India has a huge advantage. We may very well become the international hub for all sorts of commercial space transportation. Do keep in mind, we are not talking about space tourism, like Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic.

    Here are 5 reasons why we think, India and ISRO may emerge as the global leader in commercial space transportation.

    1. The Operational Cost © BCCL
    If there’s one thing that ISRO does really well better than any other space research organisation, it has to be working within a shoestring budget. Take NASA’s Curiosity Rover & ISRO’s Mangalyaan Missions. India sent a satellite to Mars, in its first attempt, and becoming the only country do so, with a budget of $71 Million. In contrast, NASA spent over $3 Billion for its Curiosity Mission. The 2021 mission, Mission Perseverance, which uses a lot of spare parts from the Curiosity Mission, will do so, with about $2.5 Billion.

    2. The Cost Of Cargo © ISRO
    One of India’s most successful rockets is the PSLV, or the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle. It has a rather small capacity in terms of volume, and can only carry less than 4000 kgs as cargo. In contrast, NASA’s upcoming rocket, the SLS can carry about 70,000 kgs in a single launch. And yet, India is preferred by countries that have no launch capabilities. Why?

    The PSLV costs about $25 Million for every launch, and the cargo costs about $6600 per kg. NASA’s SLS requires about 2 Billion for every launch, meaning, the cost of 1kg of Cargo is about $29,000, over 4 times more expensive than ISRO’s PSLV.
    3. The Reliability  © BCCL
    Saying that India has one of the most reliable launch platforms in the world would be an understatement. The PSLV is one of the most successful rockets in the world, with over 50 successful launches. Moreover, the PSLV has launched over 340 satellites, from 36 different countries. The PSLV also holds the record for successfully placing the most number of satellites into a sun-synchronous orbit in a single launch.

    4. The Future In GSLV MK3 © BCCL
    ISRO will be moving to the Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle or GSLV MK3. Space geeks should take note that the Mark3 is a completely different launch vehicle than the MK1. By moving to the MK3, ISRO will increase its cargo capacity to about 10,000 kgs and will bring down the cargo cost to about $5000, making it even cheaper than PSLV.

    5. The Favourites  © BCCL
    Private players and other foreign space agencies alike, are betting big on ISRO’s capabilities for space transportation and for very good reasons. A part of that has to do with the fact that over the years, ISRO has massively improved upon its reliability and launch capabilities. Also, ISRO’s budget has only increased, that too exponentially over the last 10 years, and almost doubled. In contrast, NASA’s budget hit its peak 50 years ago and has seen reallocations and deductions, ever since.

    The bottom line…
    While NASA may have made a name for themselves over the last few decades, ISRO’s rise has been tremendous. Barring SpaceX and their Falcon rockets, no other space organisation comes close to ISRO’s frugality and its ability to operate on a budget. And let's not forget, SpaceX is a private enterprise. If ever space research and travel is opened to genuine private players, who have set their priorities on making commercial travel even cheaper, instead of making a quick buck, we’re pretty sure they can outperform SpaceX.

    They would make you believe that you two are meant for each other. They would say things like ‘we’re so alike’ or ‘we are soulmates’ even when you met a couple weeks ago. This comes from their desperation to be in a relationship and making the other person obliged to it too.   

    With time, their intensity and overwhelming attention would make you feel trapped in the relationship. Now that you know what a love bomber does, make sure you don’t get love bombed by them.

    In an old interview, Amitabh spoke about the time of crisis and said that he suffered major losses in 1999 due to his failed venture, Amitabh Bachchan Corporation Ltd. He said he had a misfortune and recalled when the creditors would stand outside his home in a 2013 interview.

    Big B mentioned in a leading daily that he owed at least Rs 90 Crore to many people. He said, "I paid back one and all, including Doordarshan. When they asked for the interest component, I did commercials in lieu for them. I can never forget how creditors used to land at our door, be abusive, threatening and demanding, and worse still, when they came for 'kudkee' at Prateeksha, our residence."

    He further added that it was the darkest moment of his professional career. He said, "It made me sit and think, I looked at the options before me and evaluated different scenarios. The answer came pat - I know how to act. I got up and walked to Yashji, who stayed behind my house. I implored him to give me work. That is when the worm turned, he gave me Mohabbatein."

    The actor was left with no money, and even his properties were mortgaged. But as soon as his career soared, Big B bounced back from the crunch and cleared of his debt.

Finally, he made his debut in the TV world with Kaun Banega Crorepati, and we all know how successful the show turned out to be. In fact, he is all set to come back in season 13 of the show.     If it's not the constant stream of uncontrollable emotions running through your brain, it's the feeling that you're head over heels for someone you know may not be in your life in the future.

    Yes, that's the harsh truth out there.
    Unfortunately, many of us go through that. It really is a terrible thing to go through, as you part with someone who has been a constant person in what you call your own world.

    But the truth hurts, and so does love, and here is a very recent and fine example of it.

    According to reports, a woman in Hoshangabad city Madhya Pradesh could be seen screaming at the top of her lungs, calling out for her boyfriend to come and see her.
    What's the problem?Well, she was doing that outside her boyfriend's wedding hall, who was apparently getting married to some other girl.
    What's worse? There's a heartbreaking video that has recorded her helpless cries for her love.

    In the video, the woman can be heard screaming "Babu" (my love) while shaking the gates outside the wedding hall.
    According to bystanders, the woman begged for the man to talk to her once and even tried entering the wedding hall repeatedly.
    As per reports, the woman, belonging to Kanpur, had claimed to be in a live-in relationship with the man for the last three years. The couple had apparently worked at a private firm in Bhopal.
    On hearing that her boyfriend was marrying someone else, she rushed to the city to intervene.
    However, after seeing her trying to enter the hall, the groom's family members along with the security guards did their bit to tighten the security even further.
    But that didn't stop the woman from continuing to scream for her love until the police arrive on the site and escorted her away.
