Bums to our chair we sit as we don’t have much to do these days. Not much to do beyond working from home and binging on our next favourite series on Netflix. The hours we spend dormant, glued to our chairs have only increased over the past few years, and our lower backs have been the biggest victims to this lifestyle. If you’re someone who’s always feeling stiff and sore in your lower back, you’re not alone.
Here are 5 simple exercises you can do today if your lower back hurts from sitting all the time:
1. Knee-to-chestAfter a day of sitting in front of the system, tension can creep up in your lower back. Bringing your knees to your chest allows considerable relief from that tension as it restores some flexibility and blood flow to the lower back area.
© drwilderman
2. Butt BridgeIt works well at reducing lower back pain since it demands little to no pressure on the target area. Because you’re going to be lying down while performing the butt bridge, it limits the impact on your knees, hips and other joints. If done correctly you’ll feel a calming stretch in your lower back.
© iStock
3. Cat Cow StretchWith your hands on the floor and knees to the ground, gently flex your back inwards and outwards. The two movements, when performed correctly, are able to improve circulation in your lower back. There’s the added benefit of improved posture and balance as well. If you’re spending a lot of time at your desk, then give this exercise a go for relief.
© iStock
4. Superman One of my favourite movements for lower back relief, at times it feels like you’re wringing your back, squeezing out all the stress and tension while doing the Superman. But it is excellent for strengthening your spine, preventing injuries as well as improving your posture. All this without requiring any equipment besides a stable surface. The Superman is an effective exercise for lower back issues, it doesn't matter if you’re a rookie or a pro.

5. Opposite Arm and Leg RaiseThis one might seem a bit confusing at first, but that’s part of the fun. By raising the opposite hands and legs you’re able to build better limbic coordination. It’s dynamic and encourages your lower back to build stability over the course of practice.
© iStock
Do consider the fact that sometimes injuries can also play a pivotal role in your back pain, so it’s best to get a professional consultation for it if you feel that’s the case for you. The longer we remain inactive, the more likely your lower back pain is to exacerbate. Try to get in some movement as and when you’re able to.

Instagram head Adam Mosseri has confirmed that Facebook is going to be making drastic changes to Instagram, primarily to compete with TikTok and Youtube. In fact, from Mosseri’s statement, it looks like Instagram will be more like a TikTok clone in the future than anything else.
In his video, he confirmed that Facebook will begin testing "full screen, immersive, entertaining, mobile-first video", and plans to "experiment with a number of things in this space over the coming months”.
© claudio-schwarz-purzlbaum-Unsplash
Instagram will now start showing full-screen videos that will be recommended by an algorithm similar to how it works on TikTok. "We're no longer a photo-sharing app or a square photo-sharing app", Let's be honest, there's some really serious competition right now... TikTok is huge, YouTube is even bigger, and there are lots of other upstarts as well.”
© hello-i-m-nik-unsplash
Mosseri’s comments rubbed many people on the internet the wrong way as they expressed their displeasure about the upcoming changes online. The move will be a drastic change for Instagram and its users since the app is primary used for sharing square-sized still images. Some would say that it was the essence of the popular social media app that started off as an app for people to showcase their pictures. Instagram already introduced reels to take on TikTok last year and it seems like Facebook will be copying every aspect of the Chinese app as well
"People are looking to Instagram to be entertained, there’s stiff competition and there’s more to do,” Mosseri said. “We have to embrace that, and that means change.”
Instagram is also testing a new feature for content creators called “Exclusive Stories.” The new feature will be a subscription service for fan club members of a particular content creator. It will work similarly to Patreon and Youtube memberships.
© solen feyissa-unsplash
It’s still not clear when these new features will be rolled out for Instagram, however, it’s clear that Facebook is looking to put Instagram’s essence behind and move forward with features copied from TikTok.
Do you want Instagram to go the TikTok way or do you want Instagram to have its own identity? Let us know in the comments whether you think these upcoming changes are a good idea.

Jasprit Bumrah had a forgettable outing in the World Test Championship final as he went wicketless in both the innings against New Zealand.
The fast bowler wasn't on top of his game and struggled to bowl with consistency throughout the match.
Even though he wasn’t the only player who failed to live up to the high expectations, the so-called cricket lovers have started targeting not just him but also his wife Sanjana Ganesan.
© Reuters
Bumrah, like most of his teammates, is enjoying the small break away from the cricket field by spending quality time with his wife.
He posted a picture on the micro-blogging site with his partner where both could be seen sporting a broad smile, however, sadly, they were bombarded with hatred.

After Team India's disappointing loss, some toxic people have made it a habit to drag players’ partners and blame them for the side’s poor performance and the same thing happened this time around as well.
Sanjana, who is a well-known TV presenter, for the second time, received unnecessary criticism for her husband’s bad day in the field.
We want virgin bumrah

In the male-dominated society, being a woman is anyway tough, but incidents like these make it even more difficult for them and blaming a woman for her partner’s failure only goes on to show how hollow we are from within as a society.
© Reuters
Sadly, it has become a norm these days to blame women for everything wrong going around us. Some argue that’s it’s not about gender discrimination at all and that not everyone is like this, proving there is a small group of people (read morons) who can stoop so low.
© Instagram/Jasprit Bumrah
To them, I politely ask, have you ever seen any of these people targeting a man for his wife or girlfriend's failure with the same ferocity as they do while blaming, say, like a Sanjana Ganesan, for her cricketer husband’s bad day in the office?
It’s not a one-off incident, Sanjana was earlier criticised during the WTC final, when she had shared a picture with cricketer-turned-commentator Dinesh Karthik.
It was a fun day at work.

— Sanjana Ganesan (@SanjanaGanesan) June 20, 2021
Before that, it was Bollywood actor Anushka Sharma, wife of Indian skipper Virat Kohli, who had been dragged into unnecessary controversies several times in the past, either for Kohli’s failure or for some other strange reasons.
"A 'golden duck' is all Virat Kohli could gift Anushka Sharma at the Lord's"
— Jack Sparrow (@Kill_me1123) July 28, 2014
Bumrah certainly looked off his mark during the WTC final but every true cricket fan knows how talented he is and would be eager to see him bounce back in the upcoming Test series against England, which gets underway in August.

It's been forever since anyone of us got the chance to drive to a theatre with our family or on a date, overspend on some popcorn and enjoy a movie on a recliner seat. Well that is now a distant dream courtesy the ongoing pandemic but thanks to the magical land of OTT and with most production houses bridging the gap between their viewers and their movies by releasing them , life is a bit sorted for a cinema lover. One of the most awaited comedy movies awaiting its release is finally here. Starring Paresh Rawal and Shilpa Shetty in the lead role, Priyadarshan is back for his fans with Hungama 2. The trailer for the movie dropped a while ago and before we dissect it further, let’s have a dekko first:
The movie is the next in line after its first part released back in 2003 and was a super hit. This one has Paresh who returns as Radheyshyam Tiwari who is married to Shilpa, his beautiful wife. Just like the first part, this will also be a comedy of errors with the main premise revolving around Radheyshyam doubting his wife’s fidelity and believing that she is having an affair with a much-younger man. Meezaan Jaaferi, Pranitha Subhash, Johny Lever, Rajpal Yadav and Ashutosh Rana also play pivotal roles in this comic caper. One of the main highlights of the trailer is watching Shilpa dance to Chura Ke Dil Mera , the iconic track from her movie Main Khiladi Tu Anari. This movie will also mark an end to her 14 year sabbatical from featuring in a movie. After the trailer’s release, there has been a mixed set of reactions from fans on social media.

Mental health issues are often brushed under the carpet in Indian society.
There is no discussion about mental disorders like anxiety, depression, borderline personality disorders and PTSD. Even telling your desi parents that you want to see a therapist could invite raised eyebrows, gasps and tears.
© Red Chillies Entertainment
People in India are highly influenced by cinema but sadly, even Bollywood hasn’t done its job in this particular area. There are only a handful of films that tap into mental health issues.
However, these movies did manage to highlight the impact of poor mental health and mental disorders and opened a dialogue around the same.
© Excel Entertainment
However only a few, this could be a start. Here are some movies that deal with the sensitive and very important topic of mental health issues in India:
1. Tamasha © Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment
One of the finest movies in the untapped genre, Tamasha shows how someone’s daily life can be affected and they begin to change when they suffer from borderline personality disorder.
Ved is trying to discover his true personality and his girlfriend Tara tried to help him in discovering himself.
2. Dear Zindagi © Red Chillies Entertainment
The film shows what it is like to seek professional help and come clean about it in a desi household.
Alia’s character deals with anxiety and she can’t sleep most nights. She accidentally meets a psychologist and starts seeing him which helps her mend her relationship with her parents and her attitude towards love and lige.
3. Anjana Anjaani © Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment
Both characters in the film are dealing with depression and are suicidal.
While Ranbir’s character is bankrupt and has acute stress disorder, Priyanka Chopra’s character is cheated on by her fiance and falls into depression due to adjustment disorder.
The movie touches upon depression and suicidal thoughts and how the characters tackle it.
4. Karthik Calling Karthik © Excel Entertainment
The film talks about dissociative identity disorder and schizophrenia that Farhan Akhtar’s character Karthik is suffering from.
He is an introverted, underconfident corporate guy who has blamed himself for his brother’s death for years and sees a therapist. The best thing about the film is it shows mental disorder in the most sensible light.
5. Heroine © Bhandarkar Entertainment
Kareena Kapoor’s character in Heroine has bipolar disorder which stemmed from childhood trauma but is branded as ‘damaged’ and ‘unstable’ because she is an actress.
Her mental health issues and manic depression also lead to her downfall in her career.

It would be an understatement to say that the hype around the Akshay Kumar and Nupur Sanon starrer song Filhaal, is anything but minimal. And now, a teaser for the second part of the song is out.
This song takes you back to the love story of Akshay and Nupur and how things took an unfortunate turn for the couple and they had to grow apart.
Kumar shared the teaser for the song on social media and wrote, “Filhaal se Mohabbat karne ka samay kareeb aa raha hai… #Filhaal2Mohabbat Song releasing on 6th July until then enjoy the teaser”
View this post on Instagram
The description of the song reads, “The pain of a selfless yet incomplete love story continues with Filhaal 2 - Mohabbat, a romantic ballad that reinstates the fact, true love never dies and if it does, it was never meant to be.”
Well, the complete song will be out on 6th June 2021.
The teaser managed to cross a whopping 7.5 million views across platforms, in just three hours of its release yesterday.
People are already loving the sneak-peek of the track and are calling it a masterpiece.
Here are the reactions:

But there is one particular expression that people didn’t like and have been making memes on it.
In the teaser, there is a scene wherein he is seen shedding his tears while dancing at Sanon’s wedding.
Check out the expression:

What do you have to say about it? Let us know in the comments section below.
B Praak is the man behind the song and in an interview with HT, he had earlier said, “Since the first song became a hit, the sequel has to be much bigger, only then it’d work. We’ve tried our best to make it bigger and better. Though the song’s fate would be decided by the audiences and how they like it and I know one thing that the way people have showered our team with their love, blessings, and respect, they’ll make Filhall 2 much bigger and it’ll receive more love than the first song.”

What comes to your mind when I refer to a best dressed man? A gentleman in tuxedo.
That’s a common picture but dressing well doesn’t mean you wear a suit all the time like Christian Grey or Jay Gatsby. I’m not going to lie, girls like it but it’s not practical.
Being the best dressed man in the room—it’s an aura.
It’s not your suit, it’s an intangible vibe that declares confidence, class, respect, strength and sometimes power the moment you enter a room.
It’s the strongest when you’re comfortable with what you wear. Some men are natural at turning heads into their direction and others have to work on it.
A lot of us have started going out (TBH, it isn’t encouraged) but if you’re going places, you might as well dress for the occasion. The rules are simple.
__ECOMLOOKS__3047__
__ECOMLOOKS__3048__
__ECOMLOOKS__3049__
The BottomlineAt times, dressing well is less about what you wear and more about what you don’t. So, try to borrow only the essentials from your wardrobe and leave the rest for later.

As things go, fame and money may get your tickets to those fancy parties, travel destinations, and other desirable things, but what they certainly won't get you is privacy.

That's pretty much been the way things have been for Bollywood actors and other celebrities who are absolutely hounded by paparazzi wherever they go.
Well, one Bollywood newbie who is becoming more familiar with this trend of stalking by paparazzi is 32-year-old Meezan Jaffrey.
© BCCL
For a couple of years now, Meezan, who is the son of actor, dancer, and comedian Javed Jaffrey, has been linked with Navya Naveli Nanda, who is the granddaughter of Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan.
© BCCL
Meezan, who denies dating Navya, says that while many stories have been up about the two friends, the reports have certainly made it awkward for him to even visit Jalsa, the Bachchan home.
The actor, who made his debut in 2018 in Malaal, says that the constant rumors have certainly been unfair for both, especially Navya.
"It's been such a long time since someone asked me about Navya. I was promoting Malaal, it was like boom boom boom, coming my way. But honestly, me and Navya are really close friends and I think because of me, her name has come up in a lot of place and that is unfair."
"It's her private life. I don't want to include any of her family. It's really unfair to be talking about someone else at this point of time." said Meezan, while speaking to a publication.
Meezan says that the paparazzi can follow him as they are aware of his car and number plate, and often know when he visits Navya at Jalsa.
© BCCL
The actor even recalled how even his family had questions for him back home due to the dating rumors.
"At that time, it was awkward for me to enter my own house. My parents were giving me looks. And they were like 'what is this?' and I was like 'even I don't know'. I last went there (Jalsa) when they hosted a Diwali bash. The entire industry was there," he said while speaking with Hindustan Times.
Meezan had earlier spoken about his friendship with Navya.
“We are from the same friends’ circle, she’s my sister’s bestie and a really good friend. I’m not in a relationship with anyone.” he had said.

From common people to celebs, everyone is heading to the vaccination centre to get their shots, as this is the only way right now to try and overcome the challenges thrown at us because of the pandemic.
Just recently, Malaika Arora took her second dose of the Covid vaccine on Tuesday. She shared this news with her fans on Instagram by posting a few pictures of taking the jab.
Arora wrote, "Like I always say #weareinthistogether. I am going to be safe not just for myself but for YOU as well. Fully vaccinated. No words can express the gratitude I have for every single frontline warrior out there. Thank you all for being so amazing! @my_bmc @mybmchealthdept @zakaria_asif #staysafe #stayindoors #getvaccinated."
While her message spoke loud and clear about the importance of getting vaccinated and staying safe, some people turned their attention towards a different matter entirely.
View this post on Instagram
Trolls descended on Malaika because she chose to wear a black and white sports bra with track pants which, according to them, was an inappropriate way of dressing for getting vaccinated.
One of the users wrote, “Choice of clothes for vaccination is gross.”
Another user wrote, “Why would you wear that for a jab routine? Like I know they look good but gym wear to a vaccine drive.”
One more user attacked her saying, “For vaccination also you have to show off your assets or what? Otherwise, they won't do vaccination kya?"
Here are a few more nasty comments that we saw on her post:

In my opinion, trolling anyone for their choices shouldn't be acceptable and appreciated. If a man wore a sandoz and got vaccinated, would there be the same reactions and would he have been called inappropriate? If no, then why troll her? I found it completely insensitive and unwell.
Sorry guys, your comments are gross not her dressing style.
On the work front, Malaika Arora is currently judging the dance reality show Super Dancer 4.

Aamir Khan is one of the most accomplished actors of Bollywood. He made his debut over three decades ago with the film Holi in the year 1984 and since then, he has given some extraordinary performances like Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (1988), Andaz Apna Apna (1994), Lagaan (2001), and many more.
On the home front, we have mostly seen Aamir khan spending time with his family at his home which is located in Mumbai’s Bandra suburb.
It is also said that he only owns one house in Mumbai, which is filled with vibrant art, minimal décor, a lot of books, and a sunny balcony.
Amid lockdown, it was unavoidable to not fall in love with their home and as we go to step inside their house via videos and photographs.
Their home has its own dreamy vibe that one just cannot avoid and the best part is that the house is lavish yet minimalistic.
© Instagram/Aamir Khan
The balcony is extremely spacious and looks extremely sunny in the pictures. The balcony has glossy white marble and minimal furniture.
The balcony looks like the most tranquil spot in the actor’s house that opens up to a scenic view of lush greenery.

The house has a huge inevitable projector room and the family is often seen spending a lot of bonding time together in there. The room is perfect to binge-watch movies and shows.
The room has an L-shaped olive green couch and in front of that is a low coffee table and then comes the huge projected screen that’ll give anyone a luxurious theatre experience.

Ira Khan’s bedroom is wall-to-wall white and looks dreamy. The room has plain white walls and glossy white furniture with colourful cotton upholstery.
The wall also has a framed quote on wall that is breaking the monotony of colour and makes it look dream-like.

His house also features floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors and a huge animal sculpture and a lot of black and white abstract artwork.
The formal sitting area also includes sleek couches in shades of ivory and tan. Also, the rattan chairs add a bit of a quaint look to the whole space.
