The pandemic has disrupted our normal way of living and students are now relying on online classes instead of attending a traditional school.

People who can afford luxuries like a smartphone and laptop haven’t found it too hard to cope with the new normal but it has been a nightmare for daily wage workers and their children as many of them don’t have access to these necessities of the new world.
Tulsi Kumar, an 11-year-old mango vendor from Jamshedpur, was having a hard time until recently, when she bought a brand new smartphone. How did she do that? She managed to sell a dozen of mangoes at the price of Rs 1.2 lakhs. Yes, you read that right.
    Here’s how it all happened:
A businessman from Mumbai, who had heard of Tulsi Kumari's ordeal through a regional media channel came to her help.
According to a report by News18, Ameya Hete bought 12 mangoes from Tulsi Kumari at the cost of Rs 10,000 each.
Mr Hete transferred Rs 1,20,000 to the girl's father Srimal Kumar's account with which the parents bought her a phone.

“We are proud of you Tulsi for setting an example and not submitting to your reality. ‘Where there is a will there is always a way',” Mr Hete tweeted.

He bought her a smartphone for Rs 13,000 and also provided her with a year-long internet connection, to ensure that there was no disruption to the girl's education.

“Tulsi is a very smart and hardworking student. We are happy if she completes her education with the help we have given. We will continue to help her when she needs it," said Ameya Hete to News18.
Such stories make your day and our faith that humanity is still alive is instilled again.
Daily wage workers have been severely hit by the lockdown due to the pandemic as they were forced to come on the roads because of no income sources.
Amidst all the negativity, such gestures fill your heart with positivity and hope. MensXP is proud of you, Mr Hete. We urge many more people to help those who need it.

Taapsee Pannu has said that her Haseen Dillruba co-stars were scared of filming intimate scenes with her. The film is directed by Vinil Mathew and Kanika Dhillon, and also features Vikrant Massey and Harshvardhan Rane and will release on Netflix on Friday.

In an interview, Taapsee Pannu recently said that because of her image or some other problem Vikrant Massey and Harshvardhan Rane were both scared of filming intimate scenes with her.
She said, "I hope I made it comfortable for the guys because they looked very scared," she told a leading daily. "They thought pata nahi yeh kya karegi hamare saath (who knows what she'll do to us). Both the guys were, I felt, really scared because, I don't know, the image I have or what the problem was... But I used to go to Vinil and complain..."
View this post on InstagramShe was also asked if she informs her real-life partner about such scenes before filming them, and she said, "No, I don't tell my partner about my intimate scenes. It's my professional life, and I keep it far, far away from my personal life. I don't expect him to take permission from me in his professional life, so he should expect the same thing from me."
Vikrant Massey also said that 'sometimes' his partner might read the script and be aware that such scenes exist, but he doesn't actively inform her about this in advance.
View this post on InstagramHarshvardhan also said that given the kinds of scripts that he's offered, it's quite common for him to be required to do such scenes.
The film is all set to release on Netflix on 2nd July and we are already excited.

With Rahul Dravid as its head coach, India’s second-string squad led by Shikhar Dhawan is all set to leave for a limited-overs series in Sri Lanka.

The Indian batting legend, after shaping the careers of many youngsters at India A, Under-19 level, is set to guide the senior men’s team for the first time ever in his coaching career and people are elated, especially those who have since long been demanding him be given the charge of the senior squad.
Under Dravid’s tutelage, the Under-19 team, led by Prithvi Shaw, became world champions which was his first major assignment since retiring from international cricket.
During his stint with the junior team, Dravid made sure that every player who was picked in the 15-member squad got a chance to play the game.
    All SET!

However, now that he is in charge of the senior team -- albeit a second-string side -- Dravid said it would be unrealistic to give every player a chance in the Playing XI as the team’s priority would be to win the series.
"...I think it's probably going to be unrealistic to expect us in a short tour like this with three games, or three one-dayers to give everyone an opportunity...and the selectors will be there as well," Dravid said during the pre-departure press conference.
What does the #SLvIND limited-overs series mean for everyone involved with the Indian team?

Here's what Rahul Dravid - #TeamIndia Head Coach for the Sri Lanka series - has to say pic.twitter.com/ObUgFdhStj
    — BCCI (@BCCI) June 27, 2021 "There are a lot of people in this squad who are pushing for places or looking to cement their places in the World Cup coming up, but I think the key goal of everyone in the squad and in the team...is to try and win the series," Dravid added.
The squad is filled with some of the most exciting young talents in the country, including six uncapped players, who earned the national call-up after proving their mettle in the Indian Premier League.
However, only a handful of those are in contention for a place in the upcoming T20 World Cup squad.
It's an honour to lead the Indian team. @SDhawan25 shares his emotions on captaining Sri Lanka-bound #TeamIndia & working with Rahul Dravid. 🇮🇳 #SLvIND pic.twitter.com/E5J0b8KjJA
    — BCCI (@BCCI) June 27, 2021 "The primary objective is to try and win the series and hopefully people get the opportunity to put in some really good performances. These are the only three games before the World Cup. There is an opportunity for maybe one or two places that, maybe, the team management or the selectors might be looking for, spots that they might want to fill, and give them a few more options.

"That would be the goal probably over the next three T20s and to win the series. It is slightly different (from the A tour). When you're at a developmental level all of those tours are slightly different to something like this.

"It will be a great learning experience for the young kids even if they don't get to play," the former India skipper said.

Youngsters like Devdutt Padikkal, Prithvi Shaw, Ishan Kishan, Ruturaj Gaikwad who all have opened the innings at some stage either for their state teams or the IPL franchises are competing for a place at the top of the order.

But going by Dravid’s comments, it seems likely that not all of them will get a chance in the starting XI. With Dhawan being the skipper he will definitely open the innings which makes it interesting to see who between Shaw and Padikkal gets the nod to open the batting alongside him.
Shaw has already represented India in the longest format and the fact that he opens the batting with Dhawan for Delhi Capitals might also tilt the tide in his favour.

We all know that believing in ourselves can make us reach placea that we never expected even in our wildest dreams.
Anie Siva, who as an 18-year-old woman used to sell lemonade and ice cream to tourists in Varkala, is now a police inspector of the same town.
Congratulating her for the success, Kerala police took to Twitter saying, "A true model of willpower and confidence. An 18-year-old girl who was left on the streets with her 6-month-old baby after being abandoned by her husband and family has become Sub Inspector at Varkala police station."
31-year-old Anie Siva joined as a probationary sub-inspector at Varkala police station.
Anie Siva told ANI, "I got to know that my posting is at Varkala police station only a few days back. This is a place where I have shed many tears with my small child, with no one to support me.”
Congrats Anie Siva, SI of police! Estranged at 18yrs, Anie beat the odds alone to build life for herself & her son.
In a dismally male dominated society where atrocities against vulnerable women are occurring everyday, her life and achievements are truly inspirational. pic.twitter.com/f3FLiqng6H
    — V D Satheesan (@vdsatheesan) June 27, 2021
She added, “At the stalls in Varkala Sivagiri ashram, I tried many small businesses like selling lemonade, ice-cream to handmade crafts. Everything flopped. It was then a man who suggested and helped me with money to study and write the exam for the sub-inspector post."
She said, “I always wanted to be an Indian Police Service officer. But fate had other things in store. Now, I feel proud and also emotional with the kind of support I am getting after many shared my Facebook post in which I shared my joy in a brief note.”
When Anie was a first-year student at KNM Government College in Kanjiramkulam, she married against the will of her family.
However, just after delivering a baby, her husband left her.
She tried to return home, but her family didn’t accept her and how she made her dream come true of becoming a police inspector is a story that will inspire generations to come.

The first cycle of the World Test Championship has finally come to an end with New Zealand winning the prestigious Test Mace and the Indian cricket team leaving Southampton’s Ageas Bowl cricket ground with a country full of angry and disheartened fans.
If you’ve had too much red-ball cricket and wish to switch to some faster-paced action ahead of the India-England series, we’d recommend checking out the absolute entertainer that has been taking place between South Africa and the West Indies in the shortest format of the game.

Big names like Evin Lewis, helping their team out chasing team totals with a quarter of the overs remaining, bowlers like George Linde, who remained invisible during the first match, finally showing up and getting themselves a four-wicket haul in the second match, and a relentless comeback by the Proteas to tie the series 1-1, the Caribbean is buzzing with exciting cricket at the moment.
Amid all the action, Windies legend and one of the most loved overseas players to have had an impact in India, Dwayne Bravo went on to praise the Indian Premier League as one of the reasons behind all the success that the Men in Blue have had in the past decade. He also acknowledged that the biggest franchise league in the world also helped the West Indian players become better in white-ball cricket, especially T20Is.
DJ Bravo said "IPL has done a lot to us, for all West Indies players and that is one of the reason why India is successful as well". #WIvSA

Bilaterally, Virat Kohli’s Indian squad has been one of the most dominating forces across all formats of the game and has the potential to easily win a series against other top-ranking teams, there is no doubt about it.
However, it is the squad’s inability to win major ICC tournaments under Kohli’s leadership that has put up a big asterisk against the team’s success internationally. Be it the Champions Trophy 2017, World Cup in 2019, or the World Test Championship final in 2021, Team India looks practically unbeatable during the group stage and the qualifying rounds but is unable to capitalise during knockout rounds.
So when Bravo credited the Indian T20 league for India’s “success”, the fans weren’t sure if he was serious or was being sarcastic:
Is it sarcasm bcoz India hasn't won any icc trophies after 2013
    — Ayush (@pacophile) June 27, 2021we have usually dominated in all formats just like in t20 now but sadly all our shortcomings were exposed during important matches of ICC tournaments. Hope we win this time cos our bench strength is damm strong for this format.
    — karma (@karmathebitch07) June 27, 2021Strong on paper only as they will again let down in KO match due to pressure..
