How many times have you found yourself lurking on the 'explore' section of Instagram, only to stumble upon the profile of a woman you’ve gone back to at least 20 times that very day?
And how many of those times have you then gathered up the courage to do more than just stalk her IG feed and actually send her a DM?
And finally, of all those times that you’ve sent a random woman a DM, how many times have you actually succeeded in getting a decent reply back?
© iStock
If the answer to the last question is a little less than flattering, I might just have a fix for you that will elevate your position from a random creep in her DMs to one who might just be a catch.
Thanks to the million real-time creepy Joe's out there, standing out as an actual decent guy over social media is not that hard a job, provided you follow some of our suggestions.
Here are 5 appropriate ways to slide into a woman’s DMs:
1. Follow First, Message Later © iStock
One of the most rookie mistakes that a guy ends up making is dropping a DM to someone without first adding them.
The chances of any woman replying to your message will always be higher if she has first accepted your request and shown a tad bit of interest by adding you back.
Otherwise, you are just another drop in the ocean for her, my friend.
2. No Pick-up Lines © iStock
Keep in mind that social media platforms are not dating apps. Which is why, as cheesy as your pick-up line might be, it won't help you slide through when it comes to women.
Instead of relying on those typical 'hey sexy' or 'is your father a terrorist, cuz you are a bomb' lines, try to strike a conversation with the woman like you would in person - with a greeting and a non-offensive compliment, if you must.
3. No D**k Moves © iStock
And by that, I LITERALLY mean no d**k moves of sending a girl an unsolicited picture. No matter the package or the packaging, the only thing worse than sending a d**k pic is sending two.
And if you don’t wish to get blocked and then broadcasted as 'Mr Pervert Pervyson', abstaining from such moves is definitely going to help!
4. Cash In On Common Interests © iStock
Instead of wasting your time trying to break the ice by asking random questions, try to strike a conversation on something you both might have a common interest in.
If you’re already following her, a quick sweep through her feed will help you find out what she does and doesn’t like. Use that to your advantage and strike up a conversation about something she won’t be able to deny talking about.
Hint: women love their pets!
5. Maintain Your Distance © iStock
No one likes to be bombarded with messages, especially from those whom they have never met or even heard of.
Which is why, getting over-excited and sending 10 messages in the first go will only end up in you getting deleted quicker than a bad selfie.
Let the woman take her time to get back to you while you patiently wait. Women are always more impressed by ones who don’t try too hard and know where to stop.

We can't say much about fairy tales coming true and Disney princes or princesses coming to life, but if there’s one reel life Disney character which has come to life from our childhood, then it’s the mighty, the bold, the Jungle hero Tarzan. Recently, a man identified by the name of Ho Van Langh, who is 44 years of age was found and dubbed as a ‘real life’ Tarzan.
The story dates back to the Vietnam War, which happened almost 41 years ago. Ho’s father, Ho Van Thanh, who is now 85 years old, fled the war-stricken area with his two sons after their mother was killed in a bombing attack. They took refuge and solace in the jungles and eventually his father decided to just live there. Hence began Tarzan’s life journey where he grew up catching rats for dinner, wore loincloth and made houses out of tree branches.
© Docastaway
The family was discovered by locals in the area around 2013 and got fairly acquainted with them. Around 2-3 years later, the owner of a company named Docastaway, which offers exotic vacations in uninhabited parts of the world, tried coming in contact with Ho and his father. What began as an acquaintance meeting, ended up becoming a life changing event for Mr. Alvaro Cerezo. In Alvaro’s words, Ho is ‘childlike’. He has no concept of time except for the day time and night time, and above all, in his four decades of existence on this planet, his father never told him about the existence of the opposite gender.
© Docastaway
Ho’s diet consists of tropical and local finds in the mountain range which he calls home. His food choices are limited and include rats, bats, birds, lizards, snakes and other small animals found in the jungle.
© Docastaway
If you’re wondering how and why his father survived in the jungle and never returned, well the answer to that is that firstly, he was reportedly an army veteran himself. So perhaps he was well equipped in survival instincts and secondly, he developed a phobia of not returning to civilisation as he believed that the war was not over yet. The family is out of their jungle life and are adapting to the modern way of living. Here’s a documentary showcasing the full story of Ho’s life:
Few years ago, another real life Tarzan’s news got viral. The man named Jason was found in Hongkong. Jason was found living near a beach all by himself with a house made of tree branches and decorated with plastic bottles and the waste washed away near the shore.
© Nas Daily
Jason was later discovered by Disney and was employed as Tarzan! Jason’s life was not always ‘fun’ and he didn’t have the means of earning money until a few years ago. He was orphaned at a young age and found a recluse alone near the jungle shore.
While people now envy him and find him ‘cool’, if there’s anything we learn from Disney characters and their stories, then it’s the power of resilience and changing your own destiny.

Oscar Wilde once said, “everything in this world is about ***, except ***. *** is about power".
While his raunchy way of describing power dynamics did, in fact, make sense, what he seemed to have missed to point out was that there was so much to *** than just 'power'. Forging an emotional and spiritual connection with your partner, for starters.
Now that we have covered ground on how to make your woman cum in bed instead of just coming to bed, it’s time to move on to bigger and better things.
You see, while wild and quick *** is all fun and games and has its own charm that lasts for all about 7 minutes, *** has been described as much more wholesome and fulfilling if done with the intention of connecting more than just physically.
The kind that tickles you into remembering why you were together, in the first place.
© iStock
Think of it as the key to unlocking various doors in a relationship. A few might open to some hot and dirty nastiness on the kitchen counter, and others to a plethora of ways on how to heighten that feeling of togetherness in bed.
And I am here to talk about just a few of those ways to help you feel and cum closer to your partner, simply by trying on a few positions that are bound to hit the right spots for that added intimacy:
1. ‘Spoonful’ Of Love © iStock
In expert opinion, or as commonly referred to as the opinion of women, spooning is one of the most certified ways of bridging any emotional gap between partners.
This is why, instead of reducing it to just a position to fall asleep in, make use of the body contact and dish out some soulful lovin’ from behind.
Chances are, your little spoon will feel enveloped in a ball of love and lust and will feel much more closer to you.
2. Can’t Go ‘Sideways’ With This One © iStock
A sexier abbreviation of spooning, this one involves you both facing each other in bed while laying down on your side.
Think of it as hugging each other while having a chance to look into your partner’s eyes and telling them just how much you love them.
3. It’s A ‘Wrap’ © T-Series
Be the throne you’d want your queen to sit in, and get her on top of you as you both sit upright, holding each other close.
Allow her to grind her way to an intimacy that you both would feel difficult coming out of and add to the experience by moderating your pace and rhythm.
4. Head’ Of Its Time © Pritish Nandy Communications
There is more than one way to be inside of her and trying that will definitely help bind you two to an unforgettable experience.
Often called more intimate than *** itself, indulging in the deliciousness of going down on your partner is all about ‘giving’, making it selfless, sensual and all the more orgasmic.
5. Good Old ‘Missionary’ © iStock
One of the few positions that has not lost its charm despite the overuse, the missionary can either be all about synchronised breaths, soft thrusts and vanilla kisses or it can be about giving in to the urgency of being inside your partner, rubbing against her.
Use the position to stimulate a sense of security and pleasure in her at the same time, by directing the act and letting those endorphins kick in.
Don’t make it just about penetration, trace your hands across her curves, kiss her breasts and make every inch of her body feel loved, and watch the fireworks begin.

With major nations across the world bolstering their vaccination efforts by rapidly vaccinating a majority of their citizens, India due to its massive population as well as lack of vaccines has fallen behind in the race.

Now, at a time when vaccine hesitancy remains in a large number of sections across the country, Indian activist-lawyer Prashant Bhushan has gone on to make a series of shocking tweets against the use of vaccines in India.

The 64-year-old Supreme Court advocate, while claiming that he was against the promotion of universal vaccination, said in his tweet that the younger population had a higher chance of dying through vaccination than due to Covid and severe medical complications related to it.
Bhushan, while suggesting that the vaccines compromised natural immunity, said in a tweet, "The healthy young have hardly any chance of serious effects or dying due to covid. They have a higher chance of dying due to vaccines. The covid recovered have much better natural immunity than the vaccine gives them. Vaccines may even compromise their acquired natural immunity."
The healthy young have hardly any chance of serious effects or dying due to covid. They have a higher chance of dying due to vaccines. The covid recovered have much better natural immunity, than the vaccine gives them. Vaccines may even compromise their acquired natural immunity.
— Prashant Bhushan (@pbhushan1) June 28, 2021
In what was a contradictory tweet, the lawyer said that while he wasn't an anti-vacciner, he won't be getting jabbed with any vaccine.
For the record, I have not taken, nor do I intend to take any Covid Vaccine
— Prashant Bhushan (@pbhushan1) June 28, 2021
Bhushan had earlier posted a tweet against the use of "experimental and untested vaccines" by citing an article about a grief-stricken man who lost her life after allegedly taking the vaccine.
He tweeted:
"No one from govt has come to visit us or order an enquiry into my wife's death.I still curse myself for persuading my wife to take the vaccine.I thought it would save us from the virus, but it killed her".
The govt is not monitoring adverse events from vaccine nor releasing data pic.twitter.com/pcJv9cqUYW
— Prashant Bhushan (@pbhushan1) June 28, 2021A lot of people including friends & family have accused me of promoting Vaccine hesitancy, let me clarify my position.
I am not anti Vaccine per se. But I believe it is irresponsible to promote universal vaccination of experimental&untested vaccines esp to young & Covid recovered https://t.co/SVHwgyZcvU
— Prashant Bhushan (@pbhushan1) June 28, 2021However, soon after seeing the barrage of Twitter posts shared by Bhushan, social media users took to the micro-blogging platform to slam the activist for irresponsibly promoting vaccine hesitancy amongst the public, especially after the disastrous Covid-19 second wave that shook the country.
Sir take 1 rupee and shut up with this nonsense unscientific view please. You are not just hurting India but the whole of humanity with this propaganda.
— वरुण 🇮🇳 (@varungrover) June 28, 2021 pic.twitter.com/FvuSbnOlMx
— Loveleen Arun (@LoveleenArun) June 28, 2021"They have higher chance of dying due to vaccines (than Covid) " - FALSE
"Covid recovered have much better immunity than vaccine gives them" - FALSE
"Vaccines may even compromise their natural immunity" - FALSE
And then he claims he doesn't promote vaccine hesitancy. Shame.
— zoker (@zokersmiles) June 28, 2021Whats wrong with him?? this is very irresponsible coming from a senior advocate!
— Namit Mathur (@NamitMathur_) June 28, 2021What utter nonsense. 2nd wave has seen many young .. even those without comorbidities succumb to the virus.
Nobody is forcing you to take the vaccine.. but why do you want others to suffer due to your stupidity and unscientific mindset.
And oh ..
You are not young.
— shilpi tewari (@shilpitewari) June 28, 2021This account is well on its way to getting suspended!!
— J.R. (@rexisinthehouse) June 28, 2021These are the ages of the people I lost in my circle in June due to Covid:
Chetan, assistant director - 33,
Harikesh, costume designer - 36,
Dinesh, my 1st cousin - 45,
Amit, a dear friend - 40,
Please be responsible with your tweets. #GetVaccinated #IndiaFightsCOVID19
— Vishakha J Singh (@vishakhasingh55) June 28, 2021@pbhushan1 there is not one statement that is borne out by facts. The first hinges on "hardly any". The second is an outright untruth. The third would have been ok but for "the much better" bit... Wonder where the last one came. Responding to this amplifies your msg unfortunately
— Jacob John (@jebujohn) June 28, 2021Two of my close friends died due to Covid. Stop this nonsense
— Rohit TK (@T_K_Rohit) June 28, 2021'Higher chance if dying due to vaccine'
A typical argument an antivaxx uses. Do you have ANY scientific evidence to back that up??@TwitterIndia should take action on this man for spreading misinformation
— Too Opinionated (@ToooOpinionated) June 28, 2021Is there any field left on earth that u r not an expert at?
— Purnima patri🇮🇳 (@PurnimaPatri) June 28, 2021Shocking statement from a person many admire for standing up for justice and principles.
— K.P. Mohan (@kaypeem) June 28, 2021sir this is all patently false bullshit. Please log off.

As an introverted Bengali kid hailing from a remote corner in the North-East who was not even into sports, entertainment for me meant reading books. While Bengali children back in the day had no dearth of storybooks to fall back on during vacations and leisure time, for me it was a full time engagement, as I preferred living in a fantasy world, thanks to the constant crisis I didn't know how to address back then, but can now address as 'existential dread induced by anxiety'.
via GIPHY
As that nerdy kid who didn't fit in, I owe so much to the legend that Mr Satyajit Ray was, that it would be a folly to even try to put that into words. I had read and re-read everything he has ever written - Feluda, Professor Shonku, Tarinikhuro - before jumping on to the Harry Potter bandwagon that the world had just woken up to. However, he has written a lot more, and every character he created offered something special, that was enough to tie children and adults alike to the quick-turning pages of his super entertaining stories.
Naturally, when the trailer of Netflix's Ray dropped, I had to immediately find out which stories were being retold, and revise them once before watching the series. I did it, and I honestly have mixed feelings. Before getting into details, however, I have to say it out loud to people who have read the original stories in Bengali: Please do not expect those stories to come to life, as you'll be colossally disappointed if you do that.
via GIPHY
Here are 3 things that Netflix's Ray got right, even from the perspective of an avid reader like me.
1. A super talented cast, consisting of some of the best actors in the industry, is one of the biggest assets of Ray. Be it Ali Fazal's frantic search for the truth, or Kay Kay Menon's quiet desperation, or the magical chemistry between Manoj Bajpayee and Gajraj Rao - every episode is a delight on that front, when viewed for the first time.
View this post on Instagram
2. The slow burn of the background music in Ray is perfect for the stories. While parallels were drawn with the BGM of Marvel's Black Widow as soon as the trailer dropped, it perhaps should be taken as a compliment, as the background score has been on point, which only complements the intensity of the stories.
3. The camera work and the cinematography is absolutely stunning. Right from the melting effect of the train compartment into a stage in 'Hungama Hai Kyon Barpa' to the ominous darkness in every frame of 'Bahrupiya' starting right from the opening shot, Ray has been a visual delight.
Now, let's look at what everyone is talking about - what did Ray mess up?
1. The first thing, without a shred of doubt, that Ray failed to capture is the simplistic, rustic relatability that was the biggest characteristic of Satyajit Ray's creations. While one may argue that it is a tough feat to pull off, the treatment for all the stories has been such that it fails to reflect the soul that Ray's stories were all about. Reading the stories once again took me back to my childhood, however, watching them on screen remotely didn't.
2. While creative liberty is something that should be accounted for, altering the stories to an extent that they barely can be called a Satyajit Ray creations at all, is something that all four stories are guilty of, especially Vasan Bala's 'Spotlight'. Barring the involvement of an actor in both the stories, there barely is any similarity between the two. While it is understood that the '126 year old gentleman' was replaced with a fraudulent religious figure, the essence of the original story was completely lost in the recreation. Even the clever attempt at throwing in multiple Satyajit Ray movie names along with a similar frame from the iconic 'Bhuter Raja' scene fell flat.
3. All the movies are guilty of being unnecessarily stretched out. All of the original stories, in their essence, are 'short' stories, and none of them needed as much time as 50 minutes to an hour. The stories, even with brilliant narration, could have been kept much tighter, and the editing could have been much crisper. All of them felt unnecessarily long, and there were scenes that felt like they were forcefully fit into the narrative, just to extend the screen time.
In a nutshell, while it was unbelievably exciting to revisit some of my favourite stories from childhood, parts of this experience was just as awkward as the pronunciation of 'Didi' (like DD as in Door Darshan) in Spotlight.

Whether you wore a dapper suit for the first time at your school farewell or for your first job interview, it is one outfit that’s now a part of your everyday wardrobe.
Be it a wedding, boardroom meetings or a formal dinner, a suit is the most sought-after attire. However, it is also one of the most complex outfits that most men go wrong with without realising.
© Instagram/Ranveer Singh
The fit and size of your suit can make or break your look.
Even if you have got the styling, prints, colour coordination of your shirt, tie and suit right, the wrong length of your suit and clothing that goes with it, like your necktie can completely ruin your look.
© Instagram/Ayushmann Khurrana
So, the next time you suit up, keep these cardinal sizing rules in mind to score a perfect fitting and a fail-proof dapper look:
1. Necktie © Instagram/Varun Dhawan
Your necktie is the central focus when you are wearing a suit. So, it's extremely important to get its length right. It shouldn’t be too long or too short. The tip of your necktie should graze the belt.
2. Waist Coat © Instagram/Shah Rukh Khan
While wearing a three-piece suit, make sure your waistcoat is of perfect fitting and length. Your shirt should not be peeping out of the gap between your shirt and trousers, but cover it just at your waist.
3. Sleeves © Instagram/Ayushmann Khurrana
The styling rule says that about half an inch of the cuffs of your shirt should show from the sleeves of your jacket. If it doesn't, it means either your jacket is too long or shirt sleeves are too short.
4. Jacket © Instagram/Ranveer Singh
The proper length of the jacket of your suit is when it ends on your thigh, where the pockets of your trousers are. It should be long enough to cover the front zip.
5. Trousers © Instagram/Shahid Kapoor
Formal trousers need to have a fine fit and a proper length. It should be about an inch and a half shorter than your heels. For a casual look, trousers can be shorter than that and be worn without socks.
6. Bow tie © Instagram/Vicky Kaushal
Just like the length of a necktie, the size of the bowtie is also crucial to make your look prim and proper. The ends of the bow should align with your temple and it should not overlap with the lapels of your jacket.
7. Overcoat © Instagram/Anil Kapoor
If you are taking your suit a notch higher and going for a chic business formal by adding an overcoat to it, make sure you have it in the right size. The overcoat should always be above your knee.
That is why these suits are tailor-made so you can get them in the right fit and size according to your body type. Because when it comes to suits, size does matter.

During a media briefing on Monday, Union Finance Minister of India, Nirmala Sitharaman spoke about the pandemic and all the covid-affected sectors that were left upended in India in its wake.
With a view to turnaround the economic slowdown due to the second wave, she announced all of 8 relief measures that the government will seek to implement in light of the Coronavirus Pandemic, including job benefits, extending the Atmanirbhar Bharat Rozgar Yojana, offering loans and helping out the tourism industry to get back up on its fees.

One such measure that caught the eye of many during this press conference was one where Sitharaman spoke about the government planning to issue its first 5 lakh tourists visas "free of charge".
Contingent on the commencement of the issuance process of tourist visas, the Finance Minister stated how the government shall initiate a scheme applicable till march 31 2022 or till five lakh visas would be issued, whichever is earlier.
The scheme would be applicable only once per tourist according to the mandate.
She further shared how about 1.93 million foreign tourists visited India back in 2019 contributing to a total of USD 30.098 billion spent on leisure activities and/or businesses. This was based on the statistics that shared how the average tourist was recognised to stay in India for an average period of 21 days, spending at least USD 34 (Rs 2400) daily.

Everyone has a list of sensible and intelligent movies they say are their favourites, but in reality, we all have a secret list of one or two totally embarrassing films that we love to watch. That’s your cringe-binge list!
These are totally weird movies that perfectly sum up ‘shuru majburi me kiye the, par ab maza aa raha hai’ for us, because we just can’t get enough.
© Maruti Films
Despite faulty plotlines, cringe-worthy dialogues and bad comedy, we seem to really enjoy these movies. They are nothing but guilty pleasures for us desis, which means we have rewatched them a hundred times but would never admit so in public.
© Shankar Movies
Here is a list of 5 such Bollywood films that are so bad, they are good and we can’t stop rewatching them:
1. Gunda © Maruti Films
Mithun Chakraborty’s Gunda is not the type of movie you fall in love with at first sight. It kind of grows on you.
But it definitely takes the cake for the weirdest catchphrases, science-defying fight scenes and overacting. What’s more, is that it has got a rating of 7.3 on IMDb and 90% on Rotten Tomatoes. Yea, let that sink in.
2. Aamdani Atthani Kharcha Rupaiya © Shemaroo
A comedy movie that isn’t funny at all, but for some reason, Amdani Athani Kharcha Rupaiya is watchable.
The Johnny Lever-Ketki Dave jodi is one of the reasons we could watch it again and again. Plus, there are some important messages about Indian women working after marriage and how they are treated by their chauvinist husbands if they don’t.
3. Sooryavansham © Padmalaya Combines
We have reluctantly watched Sooryavansham every weekend and didn’t even realise when it became a part of our cringe binge every week. You can thank Set Max for that.
There is something about the movie, be it Amitabh Bachchan in a double role, Rekha’s mesmerising voice dubbing or the whole desi dad drama that keeps us hooked.
Also, you would be lying if you said you don’t wait for the zeher wali kheer scene.
4. Jaani Dushman: Ek Anokhi Kahani © Shankar Movies
The makers probably didn’t intend to make a comedy movie but that’s what it turned out to be for us.
Nothing in this movie makes sense... from Armaan Kohli as a shapeshifting snake to singer Sonu Nigam acting in it but it’s fun to watch. It only stays true to its title because it’s an anokhi kahani alright.
5. Baadshah © Venus Records & Tapes
Badshah is an epic comedy-thriller but in a very way that we would like it to be.
This one’s a typical Bollywood story of revenge, murder plan and romance which just doesn’t add up and leaves people thinking ‘kuch bhi?’ at many scenes.
However, Shah Rukh’s goofy character and songs make it a guilty pleasure.

Losing the World Test Championship final in such a one-sided affair continues to bring severe criticism to Virat Kohli from all corners of the world, including Jamaica from where Windies legend Michael Holding talks about the skipper’s on-field intensity and how it may negatively impact his teammates.
“Virat Kohli is someone who wears his heart on his sleeve. He’s someone who will let you know exactly how he feels. I think he gets a bit carried away at times, but that is Virat Kohli, that is the man,” Holding said during an interaction with The Indian Express.
View this post on Instagram
“He’s similar to Viv (Richards) in that regard. Viv, sometimes on the field, was over-expressive. But those are the personalities of those two gentlemen… As far as his captaincy, I’ve only seen India when they were touring England and I saw them in South Africa. The only thing I’d say about Virat is that he has to tone down a bit so his team can relax because a lot of them, I think, are on tenterhooks,” he added.
Back in his days of prime, Holding used to be one of the most fierce bowlers in the international cricket circuit and was aptly nicknamed “Death Whisperer” for his feather-touch run-ups followed by deliveries at blinding speeds. It was also his demeanor on the ground that added value to this nickname.
Unlike some of the most aggressive pacers who take to cold stares and trash-talking after the batsman ducks under their bouncers, Holding would simply bow his head down (or stomp his foot, at max) before going back for his run-up.
It is therefore understandable why the 67-year old expects the Indian captain to maintain a sense of calm when on the field as well as it might help some of his teammates get a breather and not get so overwhelmed with the pressure of performing under a demanding leader.
For now, the BCCI came up with another way to calm everyone’s nerves, especially ahead of a challenging five-match Test series against England on foreign soil, by giving them a 20-day break from the game. The team is supposed to reunite on July 14, and resume practice.

Pearl said, "Life has its own way of testing people! I lost my Nani ma a few months back, then on her 17th day, I lost my dad, post that my mother got diagnosed with cancer and then this ghastly accusation. The last couple of weeks were gruelling for me like a nightmare. I was, overnight, made to feel like a criminal. All of this in the midst of my mother's cancer treatment, shattered my sense of security, making me feel helpless."
Puri added, "I am still numb... but I felt it's time to reach out to my friends, fans, and well-wishers who've showered me with their love, support and concern. Thank you for keeping faith in me and I am a firm believer in 'Satyamev Jayate'. I trust in the Law, judiciary of my country, and God up there. Please keep your duas coming!"
