Not so long ago, the inner child in all of us almost jumped out of very own bodies at the rumors of the original Spiderman Tobey Maguire returning as New York's friendliest wall-climbing and building hopping vigilante in Tom Holland's upcoming Spiderman multiverse movie.
Β© Comic Book
If this wasn't all, we were also provided with a four-hour-plus extended version of Zack Snyder's Justice League, which saw Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, and the rest return to right some wrongs of the originally released Justice League of 2017.
Now, as we continue to get the much-needed dose of our Superhero drama through the Disney Plus TV series, Indian actor Farhan Akhtar's recent selection for an international Marvel project has thrown the light on how India could have a say in the superhero universe.
Hence, in what could be India's "What You Can Do, I Can Too" battle cry to the rest of the Superhero world, we have made a list of the top five Indian superheroes that could stamp their mark in the Marvel or DC universe.
1. SPIDER-MAN: INDIA Β© We Got This Covered/Marvel Comics
Originating out of a comic book published by the Gotham Entertainment Group in India back in 2004, Spider-Man: India is India's take on the original American Spiderman, Peter Parker.
Unlike Parker, who got bitten by a radioactive spider in New York, our Indian Spidey, Pavitra Prabhakar, gets his superhuman capabilities as a gift from a Yogi, so that he can fight evil.
In contrast to the Spiderman that we see in the Avengers, Prabhakar does not use a full spandex suit but instead sports a Dhoti underneath his upper body Spidey suit.
A few of his powers like wall-crawling abilities, superhuman strength, speed, stamina, and regenerative healing make him a lot similar to our Peter Parker.
Well, with Spidey-multiverse films in fashion at the moment, don't sweat if you get to see the Indian Spidey jump the gargoyles of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus in Mumbai.
2. INDRA Β© Marvel
We are quite familiar with the likes of the X-Men clan that features mutants like the Wolverine, Cyclops, Jean Grey, Gambit, Iceman, and co, however, there is one mutant at Charles Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters that you might not have heard of, Paras Gavaskar.
Born to a wealthy family living in Panchajana outside of Mumbai, Gavaskar enrolled at the Xavier Institute in the United States after discovering his powers.
Going by the codename of Indra, Gavaskar has purple skin, a red marking on his forehead, and lines all across his body.
The red-haired Indian mutant has some impressive powers that include a retractable exoskeleton, which acts as body armor. Apart from this, he has superhuman durability andΒ Hindu-stylized armor, and levitating weapons that include swords, knives, and axes.
3. CHAKRA: THE INVINCIBLE Β© Marvel
This character is held in a special light as the superhero stands as the first Indian superhero that was created by Stan Lee, the creator of Spiderman, Hulk, Thor, Iron Man, the X-Men.
Chakra: The Invincible would be tasked with the responsibility of leading the Indian batch of superheroes into battle if warring aliens decide to take over Mumbai, Bengaluru, or New Delhi.
Chakra's alter-ego is Raju Rai, a resident of Mumbai, who came to possess a technological suit that weaponizes all the Chakras in his body so that he can turn into a crime-fighting superhero.Β Β
4. ARUNA Β© DC
Unlike many superheroes across the world, Aruna is an Indian superhero belonging to the DC Universe that is genderfluid and hence is referred to as 'they'.
The superhero is said to be close to the BAT Family and has on a number of occasions been Batgirl's ally during crime-fighting missions.
Possessing the ability to shapeshift, Aruna once even helped Batman and Batgirl hunt down a missing person who was last seen in India's southern Chennai city.
If you need any more details, you can contact Rajnikanth on this.
5. RAMA Β© DC
Well, well, well. Now, we have a god amongst us!
Rama Chandra is a character in the DC universe that was born as a prince in ancient India.
Said to be the seventh avatar of Hindu God Vishnu, Ramaβs powers include inhuman strength, the ability to fly, immortality, hand-to-hand combat skills, swordsmanship, and the ability to the possessions of the sword Vayu, which shoots flaming arrows.
According to reports, he is reported to be a potential love interest for Wonder Woman. (Nope. Not to be confused with the Hindu God Ram)
Seems like the Indian contingent of super, Superheroes looks stronger than one could have imagined.Β

With most of the senior Indian players currently in England with the red-ball squad, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), announced a second-string squad for the limited-overs series in Sri Lanka, scheduled next month.Β
Shikhar Dhawan has been entrusted with the responsibility of leading the squad in the absence of regular skipper Virat Kohli and vice-captain Rohit Sharma.Β
Devoid of some of the biggest names in Indian cricket, the squad still boasts of some of the most up and coming players, who have proved their mettle in the domestic circuit as well as the Indian Premier League.Β
Apart from some very talented youngsters, the 20-member squad also boasts experienced players like Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Hardik Pandya, Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal, among others.Β
The tour is being tried by the board as a pilot project and while all the focus will be on how the youngsters fare, the consequences are much higher for the experienced campaigners as the failure on the tour would make it extremely difficult for them to break into the full strength Indian squad and could very well be the end of their international career.Β
Hereβs are the three players who should throw complacency out of the window on Sri Lanka tour:Β
1. Manish PandeyΒ View this post on InstagramThe 31-year-old batsman from Karnataka made his international debut way back in 2015, but has yet to cement his place in Indiaβs limited-overs squad.Β
Manish Pandey gained overnight fame when he became the first Indian to score an IPL century way back in 2009.Β
Despite that, it took him six long years to finally don the Indian jersey. But since then it has been a topsy-turvy ride for the right-handed batsman, who has only played 26 ODIs and 39 T20Is, scoring 492 and 709 runs respectively.Β
Given the number of young batsmen like Devdutt Padikkal, Ruturaj Gaikwad, and others coming through the ranks, this could very well be Pandeyβs last chance.Β
2. Kuldeep YadavΒ Β© Instagram Kuldep Yadav
Having seen what Kuldeep is capable of doing with a cricket ball, you are bound to feel sorry for him.Β
Not long ago, he was a key member of Indiaβs spin-bowling attack in the 2019 World Cup but the last couple of years have not been too kind on the chinaman from Kanpur.Β
Having fallen behind the pecking order in all three formats of the game and also his IPL franchise Kolkata Knight Riders, the Sri Lanka tour could prove to be the lifeline that he was desperately looking for to revive his career.Β
From here on, it all depends on how he goes about his business in whatever opportunities he gets.
3. Sanju SamsonΒ Β© Instagram Sanju Samson
After showing Steve Smith the exit door, Rajasthan Royals appointed Sanju Samson their skipper and as expected, he lit up the atmosphere with a breathtaking century against Punjab Kings in his very first game as a skipper.Β
He always starts strong but fades away soon after and this has been the norm throughout Samsonβs short international career.Β
Samson should perhaps take a leaf out of Rishabh Pantβs notebook, because not long ago he was also warming the bench but grabbed his opportunities with both hands and is now a first-choice wicket-keeper across all three formats.Β
With Ishan Kishan also arriving on the scene, it has become even more difficult for Samson, hence he needs to pull up his socks and deliver against Sri Lanka.

Microsoftβs latest operating system for PCs and Laptops was leaked online following which we got a chance to try it for ourselves.Β
While the leaked build of Windows 11 is not the complete operating system that will eventually release, we did get to check out some new features that will excite PC and Laptop owners.Β
Much of Windows 11 got a visual overhaul, however, there are some new features that werenβt present on Windows 10.Β
Here are some of our favourite new features coming to Windows 11:
1.Β WidgetsΒ Β© Twtter_WinFuture
Widgets are making a return on the Windows platform ever since the Vista operating system. Users will now be able to summon widgets with a clock of a button in the taskbar.Β
The widgets come in the form of βtilesβ with relevant information. Widgets such as news, weather and interests can be placed in the taskbar.Β Β
2. Dark ModeΒ Β© MensXP
Dark Mode on Windows 10 wasnβt really up to the mark when compared to any other operating system. Now, Microsoft is implementing it system-wide where it will also give a new look to the taskbar, Action Center and the Start Menu.Β
Having said that, there is still room for improvement and Microsoft still needs to work on some areas that arenβt fully compatible.Β
3. Multitask OverhaulΒ Β© MensXP
Windows 11 will introduce a new way for people to multitask windows and apps where users will not able to group applications together. Now, there will be six new ways you can pair up active windows and applications.Β
You can pair up active windows with other opened windows by clicking the button and create a group. Whatβs unique is that Windows will remember all of your combinations as well.Β
4. New Start Menu, Search and TaskbarΒ Β© MensXP
If you were bored of Windows 10βs Start Menu, Search and Taskbar, you will love what Microsoft has done on Windows 11. This time around, the Start Menu is now located in the centre of the screen instead of on the left. You can however move it to the left or any other position you want.Β
The Taskbar is also entered which means all of your opened apps and folders appear in the middle of your screen. The search icon is also position here where you can bring a floating search command.Β
These new changes come because Microsoft wants to bring what matters most to you where your eyes go naturally. Itβs very similar to macOS but we like how it has been implemented here.

Ageing is inevitable but everyone has to go through the βsunken skin, no teethβ phase in their lives. Yes, even Joey Tribbiani from Friends. However, there is no rule that says you cannot delay it and aim to look younger for as long as possible. Anil Kapoor has probably been living by this mantra and we all can see the results.Β Β

Unless you are okay with looking a decade older or have YOLO as your lifeβs motto, you can carry on with your lifestyle. But if you are concerned about premature ageing and living a long, healthy life, there are some lifestyle habits you need to do away with.Β
Β© iStock
These are very common, everyday things that we intentionally or unintentionally do, without realising how it affects our skin, body and overall health. Here are 5 such lifestyle habits that could make you age faster and how you can keep them in check.Β Β
Increased screen timeThe exposure from blue light can trigger premature ageing. Now that everyone is working from home and all the physical meetings and get-togethers have shifted to an online platform, you surely cannot escape the screen time. However, you can reduce it by snubbing social media with some family time and Netflix binge with a book.

Not sleeping on timeAnother factor that takes years from your life and adds to your face is a messed up sleeping schedule. If you are up till late every night and are not getting enough sleep, you are not only speeding up your ageing clock but also inviting cardiovascular diseases that are caused by lack of sleep.
Β© iStock
SmokingYes, smoking kills. But before that, it makes you look older than you are. It can give you visible signs of ageing while also deeply affecting your health. It stops skinβs ability to regenerate cells and hence make you look older much faster.Β

An unhealthy dietAdd the sedentary lifestyle with an unhealthy meal plan and congrats, you have lost youthful skin and a chance to a fitter body. Give up sweets, carbs, sodas that only add to your skin woes like acne, oiliness and dullness. Instead, eat more fruits, juices and healthy snacks that add to the years of your life.Β Β Β Β

Not taking care of your skinYou can do everything right and still fall victim to premature aging because you have been reckless about your skin. You donβt specifically need a multistep skincare routine to maintain the health of your skin but cleansing, moisturizing and SPF is an absolute must.Β

Keep these unhealthy lifestyle habits in check when thereβs still time. Better late than sorry!Β

From a childβs early years and through the growing period, fathers play an important role in the way they turn out. One of the most precious gifts a father can give to their child is a wonderful and happy childhood.Β
Ankit Jindal is one such dad who is determined to raise his son with compassion, empathy and love. As a child, he was diagnosed with Retinitis Pigmentosa; a disorder that causes progressive vision loss. However, through resilience and compassion, Ankit forged his name as a successful professional as well as a rockstar father.Β
Ankit recently shared his story on βpopsinapodβ, a weekly parenting podcast hosted by Nadir and Peter, two first time dads from Mumbai.Β
View this post on Instagram
Here are 3 reasons why he is an inspiration for dads around the world:Β Β
1. He Never Let Societal Pressure On Being A Dad Get To HimΒ
Β© Vinod Chopra Film
βHaving those small engagements with your child, being that companion for them for bedtime stories... the whole conversation, just to listen to them... It is very liberating, it kind of gives you direction in life. It offers a lot more stability also."
Ankit discusses his son with utmost love and compassion, a sincerity that shines through with his words. He talks about not wanting to build his sonβs life around his fatherβs struggles, preferring to focus and nurture the childβs innate talents instead.Β
He teaches his child to not just be sensitive, but also compassionate to the needs of those around him. Ensuring his child understands his fatherβs condition as well as how it impacts their life.Β
3. Having A 'Friend-Like' Relationship With His Son Instead Of Being A Typical Dad
