India, recently, lost one of the greatest athletes to have ever represented them in the world of sport after the legendary Milkha Singh passed away contracting the COVID-19 virus at the age of 91.
The sad news of his demise was first made public on Friday by his family in Chandigarh.
Eight years ago, the Indian film industry produced one of the most incredible athlete biopics when Farhan Akhtar transformed his physique and played the role of the iconic runner in the film Bhaag Milka Bhaag (2013).

And even though the actor did a great job and received high-praises from the critics and Milkha himself, the very simple and basic fact remains that Akhtar is not the real ‘Flying Sikh’.
As obvious as that sounds, it seems as if the officials at the Noida Stadium failed to make the differentiation between the two.
Anisha Dutta, a journalist, recently shared a picture on Twitter, in which an image from the film, in which Akhtar played Singh’s role, was used next to a running track at the stadium.
Presumably, whoever was responsible for the job thought that he was the real athlete.
Would request @noida_authority to replace these boards along the running track at Noida Stadium with the picture of the real Milkha Singh and not Farhan Akhtar's character in the movie. pic.twitter.com/7Y60uIQ1ja
    — Anisha Dutta (@A2D2_) June 20, 2021
“Would request @noida_authority to replace these boards along the running track at Noida Stadium with the picture of the real Milkha Singh and not Farhan Akhtar's character in the movie,” she wrote on the micro-blogging website along with the shocking image.
In a response to Dutta’s tweet, the Chief Executive Officer, NOIDA Authority wrote:
“Images were placed many years back; these have been removed today and will be repainted as per norms.”

A blunder this big was obviously not going to go down with the unforgiving social media presence of fans, who not only ridiculed the error but also shamed the authority who tried to justify why Akhtar’s pictures were installed in the first place.
Here’s how Twitter users responded to the debacle:
Totally agree. These should not have been placed in the first place as the ones with Farhan Akhtar seem to promoting farhan and his film, which is not to be done by the Govt authority.
    — Sanjay Kapur (@sanjay1193) June 20, 2021They shouldn't have been installed with these pictures in the first place...

Even @FarOutAkhtar ji would agree that the picture of original legendary Milkha Singh ji should have been used here...#FlyingSikh
    — Ayush Mangal 🇮🇳 (@ayushmangal28) June 20, 2021100% agree….to me it’s a shameful act by someone who used REEL actor picture on these hoardings. Who the hell is not aware of our REAL HERO -THE FLYING MACHINE Mr. MILKHA SINGH. @KirenRijiju -Sir, kindly look into this.
    — Vivek Chauhan (@chauhan_vivek) June 20, 2021Can't believe this. They don't know who is real Milkha Singh?
    — Sachin Chaudhary (@sachin0505) June 20, 2021It is upsetting and rather startling to see that the real man around whom the film was made, was overshadowed so much that his face got lost somewhere in the narrative.

Battlegrounds Mobile India released an early beta version of the game on Google Play and TapTap last week and it saw over 5 million downloads from India.  However, in the latest bombshell, the game has been found sending data to servers in China, according to a report by IGN India. The outlet was tipped by its readers on condition of anonymity, saying that the Battlegrounds Mobile India app was sending and receiving data from China Mobile Communications servers in Beijing, China.

The game was also found sending data to Tencent-run Proxima Beta in Hong Kong and Microsoft Azure servers located in the US, Mumbai and Moscow. IGN India was able to reproduce the results by installing a data packet sniffer and saw that data was being sent to a server with the IP address 36.152.4.34. A simple whois search came with the aforementioned result suggesting that the game still has ties with China and Tencent, even though Krafton has denied any involvement earlier.
Other tests revealed that the game was sending data to http://astat.bugly.qcloud.com(Qcloud,china) and http://down.anticheatexpert.com(links to Tencent china)

It is worthy to point out that PUBG Mobile, its predecessor was banned in India for violating India’s national security and the privacy of its citizens. The game was banned alongside 117 other apps originating from China due to border tensions with the neighbouring country last year.

Krafton has now re-released the game under a new name and claims to have cut ties with Tencent. However, this report by IGN India suggests that Krafton may have not fully cut ties with the Chinese company.
It is worthy to point out that Tencent does own 15.5% per cent of Krafton’s shares. Battlegrounds Mobile India has already garnered the action of Indian politicians, as many have already called for a ban of the app.
It seems like now they may have a valid reason as Battlegrounds Mobile India could be banned in India on the same grounds as PUBG Mobile last year.

Back in 2011, amid all the superhit films that released, it was director's Luv Ranjan's Pyaar Ka Punchnama that opened gates for Bollywood star, Kartik Aaryan.
Despite the movie getting mixed reviews for its misogynistic and women-bashing storyline, the romantic comedy earned Kartik a different fanbase.
His viral five-minute monologue on relationships earned him a ticket straight to our hearts. Post that point, there was no going back for him.

While he has given us some mind-blowing films, Kartik, in a recent post, took us all by surprise.

It wasn't a movie promotion, but he finally unveiled a new brand endorsement for a well-known gaming app.
His new look caught everyone's attention, as the actor is seen fighting goons in the promo and shooting with guns. It won't be wrong to call him an action hero as well.

As he announced the big news, he wrote on the Instagram post, "Ab Main bhi Brawl Star. Watch me take on the Brawl Universe !! Tell me what you think?#AlagSaAction #BrawlStars #BrawlStarsIndia"
For the uninitiated, Brawl stars is an online battle and is a multiplayer game with a hero shooter. The game was developed and published in 2018 on IOS and Android by Finnish video game company Supercell.
While Kartik is mostly known for playing romantic characters, this would be the first time he will be seen in an action-hero avatar.

And, because Kartik often surprises his fans, by doing 'guess' posts, he took to Instagram and said 'something Badass arriving tomorrow.'

He is seen in a new character, like never before. His fans loved the new look so much, that within no time, the boy-next-door started trending on Twitter as well.

Despite all of that, Kartik still has a good lineup of movies. He will be seen in Dhamaka and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2.
There has also been news on the grapevine that he would be seen in the remake of Ala Vaikunthapuramuloo. He posted a dance video on Instagram and performed on the upbeat song, Butta Bomma from Ala Vaikunthpuramuloo.

Abhijeet Bhattacharya is a renowned playback singer, who has sung more songs than we can even count.
Some of his famous songs, including Main Koi Aisa Geet Gaoon and Waada Raha Sanam, made him one of the most popular singers of the 90s.
He got his big break in Bollywood when he sang with Kishore Kumar. His songs Ek Chanchal Shokh Hasina and Har Kasam Se Badi Hai were a huge hit and since then, his career graph only soared.

Recently, Abhijeet raised eyebrows by saying that it was he who made Akshay Kumar the 'star' he is today.

"I am made to sing only for the stars, not for the actors. No matter how good I sing, if the person is not a star, it isn’t worth anything. There’s Shah Rukh Khan on one side and there’s Suniel Shetty on the other," the singer said in an interview.

He further added, "Now, SRK is a star. He has a class when he speaks, and Suniel has got this rough and tough appeal attached to him. Every time someone decided to curate a song for Suniel, it had to be aggressive and wild. I sang for both Suniel and SRK. All my songs picturised on both the actors were a hit."

Abhijeet Bhattacharya Claims Making Akshay Kumar A Star: “He Was Earlier Known As ‘Gareebon Ka Mithun Chakraborty'”#Bollywood pic.twitter.com/ZzDJyulXwE
    — Kaleen Bhaiya (@KaleenBhaiyaFC) June 19, 2021
He also had a say on Akshay Kumar and called him 'Gareebon ka Mithun Chakroborty'.
"My music made Akshay Kumar a star. When he was launched, he wasn’t a star. He was earlier known as ‘Gareebon Ka Mithun Chakraborty’ like how Mithun was known as ‘Gareebon Ka Amitabh Bachchan’."
He went on and said that music is powerful and since he sang in Khiladi, 1992, it was his songs that made Akshay a celebrity. All his movies were then titled Khiladi later.
He also added, "My voice has suited them all. These are the actors who weren’t stars before but my songs turned them into stars."
Here's how the people on Twitter reacted.
Ab yeh Abhijeet Bhattacharya kuch jyada out of the line statements nahi de rahe?
I am the super singer type? #AkshayKumar and many other stars made their career by themselves, by their hardwork. Other things and persons matter too, but not as Bhattacharya's statement.#TooSelfish
    — Kumaar (@kumaar_sochh) June 20, 2021Jabardast Insult of #Akshaykuma by Abhijeet Bhattacharya..

The famous playback singer of 90s clearly said during a live talk that #AkshayKumar was not a star. He was a flop actor. Garibo ka Mithun Chakraborty

    — Badass Salmania (@MainSalmaniac) June 19, 2021Can't believe that actors can succeed by their Songs in the movies... This is so so wrong words by #AbhijeetBhattacharya !!! Akki has come a long way... He is now superstar just coz of his hard work... Don't take a credit ! #AkshayKumar #BestActor #Bollywooe
    — Shivraj Khatri (@ImSR_Khatri18) June 19, 2021Not a big fan of Akki paaji but Abhijeet Bhattacharya is a fuckin attention seeker.
    — J A C K (@ShahRukhsBhakt) June 19, 2021 © Twitter/Abhijeet Bhattacharya
This is not the first time Abhijeet has become a part of controversies.

Previously, the singer was at daggers drawn with the famous Khans of Bollywood.
He was recently seen on an Indian Idol 12 episode wherein he slammed the judges for their lack of experience. He said in an interview, "I told them I am not asking for work, I am asking for what is rightfully mine. People work under me. I am the employer. They call people who've sung four songs in their life. You make those people judges who haven't served music. They are only commercial. They've given hit songs, but they haven't given music anything."

One of the most iconic moments in a father-son relationship is the “first shave”. Sharing the same mirror with dad, learning how to maneuver the razor and trying your level best to get the “papa waali moochh”-  every man relishes these warm memories.
    Gillette
But there’s a twist. While our dads stood for crew-cut hair and clean shaven faces that show off a chiseled jawline - GenZ had other plans. We like horseshoe moustaches, lumberjack beards and funky goatees - but does dad approve?

This Father’s Day, I asked papa to comment on GenZ’s favourite beard styles - and his reactions were absolute gold!
Number 1 - The Lumberjack Beard

“It looks creative but I’m unable to see that man’s face - it’s covered in beard! And how does he deal with it in the summer heat? Oh and, is that beard allowed at work?”

    Number 2 - Klingon Beard

“Now that’s something I’d like to see on my face too! Slightly high maintenance - but definitely worth trying…. *thinks if he should grow his beard*...Okay, show me Gen Z’s next favourite beard style”
    Number 3 - Pilot Moustache

“This takes me back to our days - a classic moustache, clean shaven face & style max. Now that’s more like my style. Why do today’s youngsters want to grow a garden on their face?”
Number 4 - Brad Pitt Goatee

“Okay, I’ll give this one a 9/10! So pleasant to look at. It’s a subtle beard with classy cuts...and very well trimmed. Your generation is not all funky, eh? Nice!”
While this exercise with dad was heartwarming, celebs too have decided to hit the memory lane on Father’s Day this year.
Check-out Manjul Khatter's emotional ode to his pilot dad on Father’s Day! It’ll remind you all of your first shaving experience with dad.
