Do you ever see someone super limber and think “yeah, (s)he does yoga…”? You can tell just by looking. Some physical benefits of yoga can be enjoyed by noticing in the mirror and others can be felt.

Whether you’re a fitness fanatic or a laidback will-start-tomorrow sort of person, spending a few minutes on a yoga mat can help you reach your goals.
Yoga is an all-are-welcome kind of practice with almost limitless health benefits. There are asanas for absolutely everyone.
A lot of men tend to keep their distance from yoga, perhaps concerned that flexibility, lycra leggings and age-old philosophy are not for them.
But remember this, from the very first moment you start doing yoga, your body begins to transform. It only gets better after that.
The benefits of yoga transform everybody on a personal level but here’s what every yogi experiences.

    1. After A Few Classes… -Lower Stress Levels
A 2017 study stated that people who practice yoga regularly have low cortisol levels which are further linked to reduced stress and inflammation.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__1538__
    - Improved Brain Function
20 minutes of Hatha yoga can improve cognitive function, boost focus and working memory.
In a University of Illinois study, participants performed better on brain functioning tests after practising yoga, as compared to their performance after 20 minutes of aerobics.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__1838__
    -Alter Gene Expression
A 2013 Norwegian study from the University of Oslo suggested that yoga practices can have an almost immediate impact on gene expression, particularly in immune cells.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__1839__
    -Increased Flexibility & Mobility
Mobility is how you get from point A to B and flexibility is how far you’re able to go into point A or point B. Both are equally important.
A study done by the Colorado State University found that Bikram yoga—a series of 26 postures performed for 90 minutes in a heated room—can improve shoulder, lower back and hamstring flexibility. It can also help increase strength and decrease body fat.
Not just that, yoga can improve the range of your joints’ movement through its socket aka mobility.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__1840__
    2. After A Few Months… - Toned Body
Many postures like the warrior series, Utkatasana or Chaturanga Dandasana are meant to build strength and muscles. When you tone the body through these asanas, you build more muscles resulting in burning more calories even when your resting.
You’ll experience toned biceps and triceps, chiselled calf muscles and a whittled waist as a result of strength building, core engaging yoga asanas.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__1841__
    -Balanced Blood Pressure
People with high blood pressure might benefit from practising yoga, as a 2013 study stated that yoga could help in lowering blood pressure levels.
The participants who practised yoga witnessed greater dips in blood pressure compared to the participants who chose to walk, control their diet or went ahead with a weight counselling program.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__1842__
    -Boosted Lung Capacity
Practising Hatha yoga for 15 weeks can significantly increase your vital lung capacity—the maximum amount of air exhaled after taking a deep breath—as per a 2000 Ball State University study.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__1297__
    -Increased Libido
There’s a growing body of research that suggests that yoga can help erectile dysfunction.
In 2010, 65 men took part in a study on yoga and male *** function. These men had an average age of 40 and they saw a significant improvement in sexual score after 12 weeks of practising yoga.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__1843__
    - Reduced Chronic Neck & Back Pain
As per a study published in The Journal of Pain, after four weeks of practising Iyengar yoga adults suffering from chronic neck pain experienced it with lesser intensity.
Researchers at West Virginia University also found that this type of Hatha yoga can effectively reduce lower back pain and improve overall mood.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__1844__
    - Reduced Anxiety
A 2010 Boston University study showed that 12 weeks of yoga could help to reduce anxiety by increasing gamma-aminobutyric (GABA) levels in the brain.
Lower GABA levels may lead to depression and anxiety disorders.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__1845__
-Steady Blood Sugar Level In Diabetic Patients
According to a 2015 Department of Physiology and Diabetic clinic study, just three months of yoga can result in a decrease in body mass index, as well as no increases in blood sugar levels.
In fact, many diabetic patients have observed a difference in their blood sugar levels after few weeks of practising Mandukasana, Shashankasana, Yoga Mudrasana, Vakrasana and Gomukhasana at home.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__1465__
    -Improved Balance & Better Posture
Iyengar yoga program is designed for older adults. According to a 2008 Temple University study, it helps improve balance and prevent falls in older age.
Yoga practices also make you hyper-aware and help your bones align properly. As you continue to practice yoga, you re-train your body to unlearn bad postures and replace them with good posture habit.
Holding good posture make you feel fitter, leaner, taller and more confident. Not just that, good posture is a blessing for your digestion system.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__1846__
    3. After A Few Years…- Lower Risk Of Heart Diseases
According to a 2014 study, when practised daily, yoga may lower the risk of cardiovascular diseases such as blood sugar, high blood pressure and cholesterol.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__1847__
    - Stronger Bones
A 2016 study claimed that 12-minute daily yoga practice could improve bone density amongst older adults and reverse osteoporotic bone loss. Bone mineral density improved in the spine, hips, and femur.
No yoga-related serious injuries were reported. Bone quality improved in yoga practitioners.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__1848__
    - Healthy Weight
Researchers from the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle found a link between regular yoga practice and weight management.
Out of 15,000 healthy, middle-aged adults, the ones who were overweight and were practising yoga began to lose weight while non-practitioners gained weight.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__1849__
    - Healthy Mind
You live in a state of pure bliss. No anger. No anxiety. No depression. If you combine yoga with a few minutes of meditation, there isn’t much you can’t do.
Your brain structure changes with a yoga practice, literally. A 20-minute yoga session can improve your brain’s memory, speed and focus.
The brain structure of yoga practitioners has a higher grey matter in the prefrontal cortex that’s responsible for decision making and cognitive behaviour.

Ever since Scarlett Johansson essayed the role of Black Widow in Marvel's 2010 Hit movie Iron man 2, her fans have been eagerly waiting for her to get a movie of her own.

A decade later, their wish did come true and Scarlett is finally set to be a part of an eponymous standalone movie, Black Widow.
    © Twitter/BlackWidow_Fc
She made her debut in the MCU with Iron Man 2 and recalled her character, Black Widow being 'sexualised' and being treated 'like a possession' in her early appearances.

She also stated that she was treated like a 'piece of a**' in her previous movies. Talking about her journey, the Oscar-nominated star, further added that changes have come with time.

As per Fox News, while shooting for her solo film, she spoke about the hypersexualisation of Natasha Romanoff, her character as Black Widow in the Marvel series.

In a press visit, back in 2019, Scarlett had said, "I mean, you look back at Iron Man 2 and while it was really fun and had a lot of great moments in it, the character is so sexualized, you know?"
    © Marvel Entertainment
She also said that even Tony Stark mentions something like that about her in the movie and says 'I want one.'

Scarlett acknowledged the erotic elements in the movie and said "At one point [Tony] calls her a piece of meat, and maybe, at that time, that actually felt like a compliment."
    © Marvel Entertainment
Johansson is referring to a scene from the movie where Tony Stark meets Natasha and his right hand Happy Hogan, is knocked out of the boxing ring by her. This leaves Stark impressed and he tells Pepper Potts, "I want one."

In the movie, we see her sexuality is used as a means to manipulate others due to her personality as Black Widow, a super spy. But she further added that her act of sacrifice in the Avengers: Endgame was incredibly powerful.

She also spoke about the changes coming in Natasha's portrayal. She said, "Now people, young girls, are getting a much more positive message, but it's been incredible to be a part of that shift and be able to come out the other side and be a part of that old story, but also progress. Evolve. I think it's pretty cool."

Scarlett, who is going to reprise her role as Black Widow for the seventh time, added that her character is influenced by her own growing maturity as a woman.
She also said in an interview "Obviously, 10 years have passed and things have happened and I have a much different, more evolved understanding of myself. As a woman, I’m in a different place in my life, you know? And I felt more forgiving of myself, as a woman, and not — sometimes probably not enough.”
    © Marvel Entertainment
Black Widow is helmed by Cate Shortland.

The first trailer hit social media platforms in 2019, giving us an incredible glimpse of Natasha's transformation. The movie also has a new villain, Taskmaster. The poster of the movie sees both of them locking horns.
We can't wait to see the movie now!

In the age of convenience where supermarkets are only a phone call away, nobody shies away from experimenting with a dish or two be it banana bread, maggie with ketchup or the combination that has become the talk of every town, pineapple on pizza.

While curiosity is a part of the kit, humans should not forget about the foods that can kill them. Especially the ones that are lying in their kitchen.
Some staples can turn into the most dangerous foods and pose a threat to your health if you’re not careful.
    1. Tomato LeavesThe red fruit is juicy but its leaves contain a poison called Glycoalkaloid. It can cause an upset stomach, anxiety and severe cramping. So no experimenting with tomato leaves and stems.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__1820__
    2. Microwave PopcornThe problem isn’t the kernels but the bag they come in. The chemical used in the bag’s nonstick coating decomposes and creates a compound called perfluorooctanoic acid.
This acid has been linked to both prostate and liver cancer.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__1821__
    3. PeanutsA lot of people are allergic to peanuts. The most severe response is anaphylaxis, a serious allergic reaction that is rapid in onset and may cause shock, loss of consciousness, even death.
So know your allergies before stepping anywhere near these addictive babies (peanut butter included). If you’re not allergic to tree nuts, try almond butter.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__982__
    4. Potato Leaves & StemsPotato poisoning isn’t very common, but even so, potato stems and leaves are poisonous. Most potato-related deaths come from drinking potato leaf tea or eating green potatoes. Make sure you bake, cook, boil or fry your potatoes properly before consuming them.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__1822__
    5. Cherry SeedsCherry seeds contain a highly toxic conjugate acid, hydrogen cyanide. It particularly affects the organ systems that are most sensitive to low oxygen levels—the central nervous system (brain), the pulmonary system (lungs) and the cardiovascular system (heart and blood vessels). So no gulping the seeds.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__1823__
    6. Uncooked Eggs & Raw MeatUncooked eggs and raw meat—including red meat, seafood and poultry—can contain salmonella bacteria.
Salmonella poisoning can lead to serious complications such as bacteremia that are life-threatening for people who have weaker immune systems. So never leave your meat uncooked.
    7. Processed MeatAccording to the National Cancer Institute, meats that contain nitrites and nitrates like bacon have been linked to colon cancer. So chances are that your favourite, processed bacon might not be that good for your body.
    8. Bitter AlmondsRaw almonds, a type of seed that has many health benefits, are also potentially full of poisonous cyanide. Bitter almonds in their raw form need to go through specialised heat treatment (not your regular DIY roasting) in order to get rid of toxins.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__1824__
    9. Apple SeedsStone fruits—apples, cherries, plums, peaches, apricots and pears—contain the perfect blend of sweet and tangy, which makes them so irresistible but steer clear of the seeds, barks and leaves.
They contain amygdalin, a compound that produces cyanide. Large doses of which can lead to vomiting, dizziness, high blood pressure, kidney failure, coma and even death.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__1825__
    10. Castor OilThe Castor bean plant—which is used to extract nutrition-rich castor oil—is loaded with the poison ricin. The beans your castor oil was made from must adhere to all safety guidelines.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__574__
    11. HoneyIf one of your favourite sweet and sticky treats, honey isn’t pasteurised properly, eating it can lead to headaches, dizziness, weakness and vomiting. It contains poisonous toxins called pyrrolizidine alkaloids and eating too much of it can be fatal.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__1826__
    12. Kidney BeansThe legumes are packed with protein and they’re good for you as long as you cook them properly.
Soak kidney beans overnight to remove lectins, which can kill your stomach cells. Cook and drain thoroughly to get rid of linamarin, a chemical compound that can turn into hydrogen cyanide.
    13. NutmegA rare gem in your spice cabinet, nutmeg is great for baking or for a hair mask but ingesting a significant amount can lead to psychotic symptoms like hallucinations, hyper-excitation and disorientation.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__1827__
    14. CashewCashew shells can burn your skin and upset your stomach as they carry anacardic acid. Cashews must be boiled or roasted before you eat them. In the raw state, they have urushiol, a chemical that can cause rashes or even death depending on the quantity consumed.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__1828__
    15. Bean SproutsSprouts are considered the healthiest form of crunchy salads and are usually consumed raw or cooked lightly. But they can also cause food poisoning as the bacteria thrive in a warm, humid environment and sprouts grow in such conditions.
When cooked properly, the harmful bacteria can be killed as light cooking can’t prevent foodborne illnesses like salmonella, listeria, diarrhoea and e.coli.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__1829__
    16. Raw MilkThe milk available in the grocery stores is pasteurized but some people consume raw milk, which is risky. It can put children at a major risk of deadly diseases like listeria and E.coli.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__1830__
    17. Unpasteurized CheeseMuch like raw milk, unpasteurized cheese can host deadly foodborne bacteria and illnesses.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__1831__
    18. Chilli PeppersA piece or two won’t kill you but peppers contain a chemical called capsaicin. It’s responsible for the spicy flavour and is also used in pepper spray. Consuming a lot of pepper can constrict your lungs.
    __ECOMPRODUCT__1832__
Don’t just eat them. Eat them right!

To the delight of cricket fans all across the globe, the World Test Championship final finally got off the mark after a delay of around 24 hours at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton.
New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson won the toss and opted to bowl, with a view to making most of the moisture in the surface and the overcast conditions.
With rain playing spoilsport on the opening day, the English weather became the focal point of most conversations, and rightly so.
But when the match finally began on Saturday, most people thought the focus would shift on the two sides but to everyone’s surprise nothing of that sort happened.
To all those in India googling about weather, it's still windy and pouring in here.
Rain Gods are not in mood to miss the first day!#WTCFinal pic.twitter.com/1c3befwAPT

In fact, the first thing that started trending once the game began was Dinesh Karthik, who was part of the star-studded commentary panel picked by the ICC.
Karthik is still an active cricketer for Tamil Nadu and IPL franchise KKR. So, quite naturally, his inclusion ahead of some of the well-established commentators came as a big surprise to many.
However, given his performance behind the microphone, fans think this was one of the best decisions the ICC has made regarding the WTC final.
From his pin-point analysis of the game to taking on fellow commentators, the Indian supporters loved it all.

Despite sharing the comm box with some of the greats in the business like Nasser Hussain, Ian Bishop and Sunil Gavaskar, Karthik didn’t show any nerves and spoke his mind. At times, he even showcased his witty side and the one instance that fans admired the most, was when he sledged his fellow commentator Nasser Hussain.

Nasser was apparently praising Rohit Sharma’s positive intent against short-pitch deliveries and his ability to pull the ball on its merit and also the way he uses his feet against spin bowling.
The reply Karthik gave was what made him a fan favourite.
“Just opposite of what you did,” Karthik replied cheekily.

    — Arjun Darji (@ArjunDarji8) June 19, 2021 Apart from Karthik’s superb start, Indian openers Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill saw off the opening hour’s play and added 62 runs for the opening wicket, giving the side a solid start.
With a day lost already, fans would still be hoping to see a full game as the ICC has kept June 23 as the reserve day, but it will come in effect only if the match is within the possibility of an outcome.

If you grew up in the 90s, we bet you distinctly remember the face-off between Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar and wrestler The Undertaker in the 1996 movie ‘Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi’.
We, as kids, were made to believe that the wrestler Akshay fought was indeed the real WWE superstar and we all wondered how powerful one would have to be to beat someone like the Undertaker.
    Watch the video here:

Watching Akshay get the better of the Undertaker in the movie made many of us his big-time fans, which continues to date, despite knowing the fact that the man he fought was not the real Undertaker.
As the movie completed its 25 years, Akshay thought of having fun and shared a collage of people who had beaten the Undertaker.
The collage contained pictures of three of the biggest WWE superstars, Brock Lesnar, Triple H and Roman Reigns, while the fourth slot was occupied by the Rowdy Rathore actor himself.
    © Instagram/Akshay Kumar
Before people could start jumping the ship, Akshay mentioned in the caption that the wrestler he fought was a body-double Brian Lee, who played the Undertaker in the movie.

“A hilarious note to mark 25 years to the release of #KhiladiyonKaKhiladi tomorrow! A fun fact though: it was wrestler Brian Lee who played The Undertaker in the film,” Akshay wrote on Instagram.
    View this post on Instagram
While sharing the collage, Akshay clearly misinterpreted the power of social media, as he, even in his wildest of dreams, wouldn’t have thought that his post would create so much buzz on social media.
The post indeed became viral and caught the attention of the man himself -- The Undertaker, who challenged the Bollywood actor for a real fight.
    The REAL @undertaker vs. @akshaykumar? Yes, please! #WWE #KhiladiyonKaKhiladi pic.twitter.com/WEdohl2bEH
    — WWE India (@WWEIndia) June 18, 2021
“Ha! Tell me when you are ready for a REAL rematch!” the Undertaker commented.
Only a fool would accept the one-on-one challenge thrown by the ‘Dead Man’ and Akshay was in no mood to take the bait and like any sane man should do, he dodged the bullet with a hilarious reply.
“Let me check my insurance and get back, bro!” was his reply.

If anything, Akshay’s reply to the Undertaker taught us the all-important life lesson that sometimes, being a coward is not a bad thing, especially, when your life is at stake!
